WASHINGTON — Known as a master at making magnificent passes, Patrick Mahomes found himself Friday doing what he often does with his teammates, even if he didn’t have a football in his hands. Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback, passed as much information as he could to many of his teammates who were in the midst of their first time being inside the White House.

The Chiefs’ return to the White House to celebrate their second consecutive Super Bowl victory, a second visit in less than a year, allowed Mahomes to demonstrate his ability to recall all the artifacts that fascinated him the most, many of them he learned 11 months ago from President Joe Biden.

“I’m showing other guys pictures on the wall, I’m showing paintings and some old furniture,” Mahomes said. “I felt like I was trying to be a tour guide.

“What makes it special is the guys that didn’t get to do it (last year). You talk about it all year long. You talk about the White House trip, winning the Super Bowl and everything that comes with that. Getting to show some of these young guys and guys that have come from other teams, it’s a special moment for them and you get to see that smile on their face when we leave.”

Within minutes of Mahomes sharing his second experience at the White House with reporters, a group of his first-time visiting teammates — defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah , receiver Rashee Rice , linebacker Drue Tranquill , cornerback Nic Jones and former safety Mike Edwards — sneaked into the media briefing room, a few of them approaching the presidential lectern for a fun photo opportunity. “Over the past few years, the men behind me have elevated the status of Kansas City and united football fans across the country and throughout the world,” Hunt said of the Chiefs’ earning three Vince Lombardi Trophies in the past five years. “There’s a lot that can divide us today, but for so many of us, sports provide a unifying joy that we all need.”

The 10-minute ceremony ended with Hunt and Reid presenting Biden with the gift of a Chiefs helmet that featured three autographs in black marker from Veach, Reid and Donovan. Within seconds of holding the helmet, Biden was encouraged by Kelce to put the helmet on. Biden obliged, much to the surprise of the players, who responded with loud cheers and laughter. Even Butker smiled and laughed at Biden’s gesture.

With the helmet still on, Biden turned around and put his hands up near the face mask to show Mahomes that he was ready to catch an over-the-shoulder pass.

“We feel blessed to be here,” Reid said after the team’s tour of the White House. “It’s been tremendous. I don’t know how many presidents have tried on your team helmet. This might be a first. It’s history being made.”

Biden’s last act on stage was to spend a few more minutes chatting with Mahomes, shaking the quarterback’s hands several times. Biden left the Rose Garden smiling with his new helmet in his left hand. Mahomes stayed on the stage and took a few seconds to look around.

“Just to get to look out and see the Washington Monument, it’s a cool moment,” Mahomes said. “I appreciate it. Hopefully, we’ll get to come back again. I’ll appreciate every single time.”

So, you want to get paid to travel the world? Being a tour guide means you get to travel  while working, be the envy of all your friends, and visit dream destinations all over the globe! You’ll meet people from everywhere, wake up in a different city every other day, and truly become a citizen of the world. But do you know what you are getting yourself into, and what it takes to land one of the best jobs ever? Read on to find out how to become a tour guide! 

Travel to: Europe

Important to note: Though a lot of people living on the road are referred to as tour guides, in some countries, they’re tour leaders, managers, directors… the list goes on! It’s important to know that when you’re looking for travelling job opportunities, many tour guide job advertisements will be looking for licensed city tour specialists, who unlike you will be looking to stay put in one city

How to become a tour guide

If you’ve decided this is the life for you, but don’t know how to go about getting your foot in the door, here’s a behind-the-scenes sneak peek into what it takes to become a tour guide! 

The pros of this job can’t be counted on just one hand, but becoming tour guide doesn’t mean a permanent vacation. It’s a competitive field, and you’ll have to work hard to keep your coveted role. You need to be dedicated, but you also need to know how to have fun.  You’ll live out of a suitcase, answer hundreds of questions every day, and work with many different personalities and cultures from all over the world. A tour guide is at the heart of a tour and can make or break the experience. Translation: there is no such thing a “bad day.”

Your passengers have saved long and hard to come on your tour, and you need to do everything in your power, every day, to make sure they have the trip of a lifetime (no matter how challenging it might be).  You need to be patient, fierce, tenacious, and most importantly possess a genuine passion for your passengers and profession. Still up for the challenge? Here’s what you need to do next! 

Step 1: Research tour operators in advance

Do your research! It’s important to find a tour operator that aligns with your interests. Are you a history lover that enjoys a relaxed pace of travel with a more mature audience? Or do you prefer non-stop adventure and fast-paced city hopping with today’s youth? No matter the operator there’s a tour style that will fit your own, it’s just a matter of doing your homework to find them. And of course, different operators will require different levels of experience and external certifications depending on where their tours travel and what type of experiences you’d be facilitating as their guide. 

You should also find out how much experience you need for the tour operator you have your eye on. Some tour operators won’t require you to have any previous experience and will instead invest huge amounts of time and money in “auditioning” you. These jobs are highly sought after by many young, enthusiastic adventurers, so the stakes are high. You’ll be looking at 2-3 months without an income, travelling through potentially expensive European cities and without any guarantee you have the job until you’ve passed the finish line! Pretty soon into the process, you’ll find out if you are up to the challenge and whether you have the necessary skills, personality and expertise to make it or break it as a tour guide.

Other tour operators may have much shorter training periods, but will need you to know a lot about the region you want to work in: maybe you’ve lived there for an extended period, or speak the language, or you have a degree related to the culture or history of the region. Your speaking skills will be tested in an interview before training, and finally, some operators will look for individuals that have been  guiding or tour leading for at least a couple of years before they will even consider you. If you’re starting out, wait until you’ve got some solid experience under your belt before reaching out to these companies! 

All in all, it’s important to choose an operator that fits your personality and travels to destinations you feel passionate about! 

Step 2: Remember that it’s both a job  and a lifestyle

Living a life on the road is both a lifestyle and a job. You need to have a consistent passion for learning, relentlessly optimistic outlook and dedication to hard work. If you’re one of the lucky few that lands the job you need to be prepared to give up everything about your old life. You will be on call 24/7, your own needs will always, always,  be the last priority and you’ll find yourself with little to no time to speak with your friends and family back home. If you can make peace with all of the above, then focus on crafting the perfect application, preferably one that touches on your passion for learning, relentlessly optimistic outlook and dedication to hard work.

Spend plenty of time tailoring your application letter and resume to fit the role and the company you’re applying for. Experience with travel, being able to talk about history, culture, art and much much more at a moment’s notice and charisma will help, but  you also need to think about who their audience is! What can you offer this company (that thousands of other applicants can’t) to convince them they are placing their valued customers in the right hands? 

Be confident in selling your skills, especially the ones essential to successfully running a tour. Highlight any professional experiences like being able to perform under pressure, working with groups, and any relevant language or academic knowledge that will help you to stand out. Give examples of past experiences and anything else that will make your application jump off the page.

Step 3: Prepare for the interview process

The interview round depends on the company’s recruitment process. It could be one meeting or a series of meetings. The tour operator wants to see if you are the right fit for them and the real deal. It’s time to convince them that you can put your money where your mouth is. Come prepared with examples in your head, and be prepared for seemingly-random questions that will test your character, initiative, and even your general know how.

Tour operators invest a huge amount in their tour guides. There are very few other jobs in the world where people work so independently of their managers’ presence from the beginning of their employment. Their brand and their customer’s experience is the most important thing to them, and they should have no doubts that you are a superstar who can do the job professionally and support their goals. Get a good night’s sleep before your interview and enter the room calm, confident, and personable.

Step 4: Study, study, study!

You’ve been accepted to progress beyond your application submission. Now’s time to get stuck into preparing yourself to become the rookie tour guide of the year! While organisational and personal skills probably come naturally to you, no one, no matter how much they have studied, is prepared for the questions you will face while on your first tour or training trip. And if you hate studying, you may as well peace out now! 

Where is the closest cash machine? What kind of tree is that? When was that building built? What’s the major industry of that little town we just passed?

The more you know about history, culture, food, language, geography, politics, economy, and flora and fauna before heading out on your training trip, and hopefully your first tour, the better. You will never know all the answers, but you’ll learn smooth ways to own up to that, or find out and provide a helpful response shortly after (hello Google), or direct the passenger to where they might find out.

If the company you’ve applied to work with has a training trip before you embark on your first adventure with real, paying clients, they will be doing all they can to replicate every single possible tricky scenario you could come across on tour. Given that you’re applying for one of the most popular jobs in the world, it’s going to be intense, but that doesn’t mean you won’t get maximum satisfaction out of it. Making it to the end of your training is a huge accomplishment in itself. So p repare well, work hard, keep your wits about you and sleep now, because if you do become a tour guide, you can kiss more than six hours of shut-eye per night goodbye! 

Step 5: Preparing for your first tour as a tour guide

You did it! You may have shed blood, sweat and tears to get here but you can finally call yourself a tour guide! It doesn’t matter if you’re  new to this because everyone has to start somewhere. Celebrate the fact that you’re here because experienced touring professionals believe you have what it takes to take passengers on the trip of a lifetime. So have some confidence in yourself. Your colleagues and peers can help you when you need it but focus on the most important thing of all, your passengers! If you gain their respect and they can see you know what you’re doing, you’re well on your way to being a roaring success.

Now that you’re a tour guide, there are a few other things to keep in mind. Your life will change. This isn’t a run of the mill 9 to 5, but if you’re leading a group of tourists towards the pyramids of Giza then you already knew that! Irregular hours means keeping in touch with loved ones or having a routine isn’t easy, but standing at the foot of the world’s greatest wonders will outweigh the crazy hours and lack of routine. If you love what you do, then none of it will feel like a sacrifice, in fact, you might even say all of the above is the best feeling! Not many people can call the world their office or say their day job includes visiting incredible sights and attractions that the rest of us dream about.

Requirements to become a tour guide

Work permits and passport.

Before you begin your application, do a solid check on the work permit requirements. Are you legally able to work in the country where you’ll be touring, or is there a visa or work permit you’ll need?

Before investing your time, heart, and soul in a solid job application, make sure you’ve got the legal parts covered.

When to apply

Most tour operators will hire in preparation for their peak season. If you’re interested in working in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s best to apply around September, as applications will usually close before the new year to have training arranged in the first months of the year.

If you want to work in a region with year-round tourism (such as South East Asia, for example), check with the company to see when they run their training trips, or when is the best time to apply. If you’re lucky, they’ll tell you they can take an application anytime!

If you’d like to work in Australia and New Zealand, applications are generally taken around mid-year in preparation for the summer. As there is more demand for tour guides in summer months in most regions, the operators hire and prepare new tour guides for the peak season. Those tour guides may then apply or request to also have some winter work.

If becoming a tour guide is for you, maybe it’s time to start doing your research on which companies you’d like to apply to! It may seem like a daunting task, but for those suited to the job, it’s a dream come true.

I've been a tour guide in Rome for 16 years. Here are 5 tourist attractions that are worth it and 5 you can skip.

• After 16 years of working as a tour guide in Rome , I've figured out the best attractions.
• I always recommend visiting the Park of the Aqueducts and the  Ostia Antica archeological site.
• But I think the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Mouth of Truth attractions are overcrowded. 

Rome is pretty crowded — the city welcomed a record-breaking 35 million tourists in 2023. Any gorgeous photos you see of breathtaking and empty piazzas were likely taken long before most people have woken up.

As a seasoned Roman tour guide for the past 16 years, I would never say certain attractions have no merit. But after years of interacting with travelers , I understand that people want alternatives.

Luckily, Rome has priceless art and artifacts around every corner.

Here are five popular attractions that are worth visiting, and five you might want to skip.

The Capitoline Museums offer plenty of art and archeological finds.

Located on Capitoline Hill, the Capitoline Museums offer a treasure trove of ancient Roman art and artifacts.

Despite their historical significance as some of the oldest public museums in the world , they're often overlooked by tourists.

The well-curated collections include masterpieces by renowned artists like Michelangelo and Caravaggio, ancient bronzes, and frescoes. It's a must-visit for any art enthusiast seeking a quieter, more intimate experience.

Don't miss the Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano.

As one of Rome's four major basilicas, San Giovanni in Laterano (also known as the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran) boasts a stunning display of baroque architecture and intricate frescoes.

It may not be as famous as some of Rome's other churches, but its grandeur and historical importance as the oldest papal basilica in the city make it a hidden gem worth exploring.

The Park of the Aqueducts is beautiful and full of history.

Escape the crowds and stagnant air of the city center and venture into a tranquil Park of the Aqueducts (Parco degli Acquedotti).

Here, you'll see towering arches of 11 aqueducts that once carried water to the heart of ancient Rome. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll on the ancient Latin Road or a picnic away from the crowds.

The attraction also offers a unique perspective on the ingenuity of Roman engineering.

There's incredible art in the Basilica of Sant’Agostino.

Art lovers shouldn't miss the exquisite "Madonna dei Pellegrini" housed within the Cavalletti Chapel at Basilica di Sant'Agostino in Campo Marzio.

The dramatic interplay of light and shadow in Caravaggio's painting comes alive in the serene church, providing a captivating glimpse into the artist's unparalleled talent and revolutionary style.

A Roman vacation isn't complete without a trip to Ostia Antica.

Step back in time and explore the remarkably well-preserved ruins of Ostia Antica, Rome's ancient seaport.

The archaeological site offers a quieter and less time-consuming alternative to the crowds of Pompeii a little farther south. Visitors can wander through ancient streets, houses, and Roman theaters in a more peaceful setting than the Roman Forum.

Plus, you can enjoy a seafood lunch overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea after your visit .

On the other hand, the Vatican Museums are overcrowded.

Although the Vatican Museums are undeniably home to some of the world's most renowned art collections, they're almost always swarming with tourists.

The crowds and long queues can detract from your overall experience. In peak season , the Vatican easily sees 20,000 to 30,000 visitors a day.

It's virtually impossible to admire the art as you're shuttled through each gallery until everyone spills into the Sistine Chapel . Even the bathroom lines can be a 30-minute wait.

Unless you are willing to spend a lot of money on an official tour before the museums are open to the public or visit in the offseason , you should consider alternative attractions.

You can get a good view of the Colosseum without going inside.

As iconic as it may be, the Colosseum can be overwhelming, particularly during peak tourist seasons .

Its historical significance is undeniable, but exploring the ancient amphitheater can be a challenge among the swarms of visitors.

Acquiring tickets is also tricky. We often have to time our online purchases perfectly, refreshing the page in 10-minute intervals. Tickets sell out quickly and are sometimes resold by large companies.

Consider alternative viewpoints or guided tours for a more personalized experience. I also like taking in the exterior around 9 a.m. or in the evening when it lights up.

Walking the Appian Way might be a letdown.

The Appian Way is significant in Roman history as the oldest and most important road. But its appeal may be lost on the average tourist.

Nowadays, there are loads of bike and bus tours to the Catacombs along the road — making it crowded — and public transport there is difficult.

I suggest visiting the Park of the Aqueducts instead. It's an easy metro ride from Termini Station and offers a glimpse into what the Roman countryside would've been like.

Everyone wants a photo in front of the Trevi Fountain — and that's the problem.

Although undeniably one of Rome's most famous landmarks , the Trevi Fountain is often teeming with tourists jostling for the perfect selfie.

The sheer volume of visitors can detract from the fountain's beauty and significance, making it challenging to appreciate it in peace.

If you insist on throwing a coin in, go as early in the morning as possible — otherwise, it's a zoo.

I wouldn't wait in line for the Mouth of Truth.

Made famous by its appearance in classic films like "Roman Holiday," the Mouth of Truth may not live up to the hype for many visitors.

According to medieval legend, the stone mask will bite off the hand of any liar who enters its mouth, which has made it popular with tourists.

But the brief photo opportunity doesn't justify the long queues. Plus, it was probably just used as a drain cover in the Temple of Hercules.

For the second time, Lancaster Country Club becomes the epicenter of women’s professional golf Thursday as the 79th U.S. Women’s Open begins.

In 2015, a record-setting 135,000 spectators flooded LCC and watched In Gee Chun surge down the back-nine to win. Now, a record $2 million check awaits the winner of the LPGA Tour’s second major.

Below are some names to know in the field, some top viewing sites and other helping hints to enjoy your experience at LCC.

All eyes on Korda

Remember the first major championship of the season? 25-year-old Nelly Korda won The Chevron Championship in Texas last month, and the Florida native hits Lancaster with a string of six victories in her last seven starts. She’s the first golfer since Inbee Park (2013) to win six times in a season. Kordan will start her opening round at No. 10 in the 8:13 a.m. group with Megan Khang and Nasa Hataoka.

Don’t overlook Green, Henderson

Hannah Green won her first LPGA Tour event in 2019 and has become one of the top shot makers in the game. The Australian already has two victories this season, rising to No. 5 in the world rankings following her win in Los Angeles in March. Plus, Green is a major champion.

In the field this week are 36 players who also competed in the 2015 event at LCC, including Brooke Henderson. Henderson, a 20-time winner on tour, fired a final-round 4-under 66 at LCC in 2015 to finish tied for fifth.

Fans also can use an interactive map, powered by Cisco, to better navigate around LCC and follow their favorite players. The map, available on iOS and Android devices, also will help fans find grandstands, concessions and other amenities throughout the course.

All fans are welcome to visit the Amex Fan Stop tent located in the Fan Oasis near the main entrance to pick up a friendship bracelet and reusable water bottle while supplies last.

Hydration stations are located throughout the course. Penn Medicine also will operate a Wellness Pavilion. The USGA Fan Experience is another perk for attending.

The USGA App built by Deloitte offers an all-in-one destination for fans following the U.S. Women’s Open. Leaderboards, player scorecards and ShotCast are just some of the features.

Free parking, shuttle service

Because New Holland Pike (Route 23) will be closed through June 2 near LCC, complimentary fan parking is available next to Penn Cinema at 541 Airport Road, Lititz.

A free shuttle will bring fans from the parking lot to the main entrance at Lancaster Country Club. The shuttle service will begin 45 minutes before the first scheduled tee time of the day and return fans until one hour after play concludes.

Best viewing spots

High handicappers can generally pick up a few tips while watching the pros warm up on the range, but the practice putting green also offers an extended view of live action. Some of the biggest crowds are expected to hover near the area with views of the tee boxes at Nos. 10 and 15, as well as the greens on Nos. 14 and 18.

Another prime viewing location covers a pair of par 3s, Nos. 8 and 12. Course officials opened more space in this location. Those who arrive early could opt to hunker down near the tee box at No. 3, where as many as five holes are in view.

Fans can watch 25-plus hours of live coverage via NBC, USA Network and Peacock beginning at noon Thursday. The full schedule is below.

From tickets to dates, here's your complete guide to the eighth annual Ali Festival

The eighth annual Ali Festival, where the Muhammad Ali Center comes together with partners from across the city to remember the passing of the Greatest and celebrate the city he loved, is back.

The 2024 festival takes place June 1-9, with an itinerary of events inspired by Muhammad Ali’s six core principles ― Confidence, Conviction, Dedication, Giving, Respect, and Spirituality.

The centerpiece of the Ali Festival is the Community Free Day with the Ali Fest Carnival on June 2 from noon to 5 p.m. Admission to the Center is free for this event.

Another highlight is the event on June 8, which features Grammy-winning jazz musician Christian McBride for Music with Muhammad. McBride will be meeting with Louisville Orchestra Music Director Teddy Abrams for a taping of his Sirius XM show and performing in the evening.

The Ali-Ville Trolley Tour will kick off the celebratory week. While the June 1 event is only for Ali Center members, a second Ali-Ville Trolley Tour will be available to the public on June 8.

Conversations with Christian is a taping of Christian McBride’s radio show for Sirius XM Radio where he interviews and performs duets with a special guest. Christian is a Grammy Award-winning bassist, a board member of the Muhammad Ali Center, and a lifelong fan of the People’s Champ. During this special recording for Ali Fest 2024, Christian will sit down to talk with Teddy Abrams, the Music Director of the Louisville Orchestra.

A survivor's guide to Taylor Swift floor tickets: Lessons from an Eras Tour veteran

STOCKHOLM — Thousands of fans line up each morning ahead of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows hoping to get one of the coveted spots on the open, first-come, first-served arena floor.

In America, fans buy designated seats. Abroad, the floor is like a Southwest flight. There are no assigned seats, and those with VIP tickets nab the best spots since they are let into the arena an hour early.

Unless fans have VIP tickets, they'll probably end up in the mid-to-back sections of the floor, no matter how early they line up. After getting two floor tickets to two shows — one in Paris and one in Sweden — here are my tips for navigating the magic and madness of the ground level.

Like we were in Paris

An hour before Swift's last show in Paris, I and a friend of mine made a last-minute decision to buy $150 floor tickets off StubHub. We went to the arena 10 minutes before the opening act, Paramore, took the stage. At intermission, we stood by the VIP tent. I was able to say hi to "Grey’s Anatomy" star Jessica Capshaw . Twenty feet away, singer Christina Milian sat in a director's chair.

Up above fans noticed Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce , his best friend Ross Travis, actor Bradley Cooper, supermodel Gigi Hadid and rock star Lenny Kravitz in a suite. I could understand why Kelce was in a box. The chaos of fans zooming in on their phone cameras to get grainy shots of his every reaction and waving arm dance moves was nonstop. But I get it, I got one for Instagram when Swift punctuated her 87th — his jersey number — show with a mashup of love songs including one that he inspired: “The Alchemy,” “Treacherous,” “Begin Again” and “Paris.”

Walking along the back rim of the floor and following Swift as she performed from different parts of the massive catwalk, I felt carefree and untethered. It was liberating not to fear losing a spot. Several fans danced in the less congested area similar to the thousands who danced in theater aisles during the blockbuster release of the concert movie.

Predicting Kelce would come down near the stage during “Karma,” I walked over to the guardrail and waved during the “Midnights” song. He and Swift took a different exit than her dancers, singers and bandmates. My friend had been to the Eras Tour a few times before and said that was his favorite show. 

It’s nice to have a friend

In Sweden, I bought a floor seat on the right side of the stage. Hoping to get a closer spot, I camped out. The long wait created a mini community that exchanged friendship bracelets and the latest clown theories while posting videos to Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok. My favorite costumes in the Y entrance line were two Reputation clowns wearing scaly dresses and snaky blue boas paired with bright-red clown wigs that made everyone smile. (The joke is Swifties incessantly “clown” the singer will announce the rerelease of her sixth album and she has yet to.)

The shade from Friends Arena blocked the Swedish sun with temperatures in the 70s. The less-than-long merch lines allowed fans to save each other’s spaces to buy $75 hoodies and $45 T-shirts.

With no bags allowed in the arena , fans filled their pockets with only essentials like external battery chargers, wallets, passports and chapsticks.

Patient line waiters drank water early. Two Finnish fans by me said they stopped hydrating a couple hours before doors opened for fear of getting a good place and having to use the restroom. 

Thousands of VIP fans entered an hour early, and any hope of getting a stage-side dominion was lost for general admission.

I staked a claim near the railing on the side of the stage base (by the corner of the back screen). Guitarist Paul Sidoti threw guitar picks to fans. Back-up vocalists Kamilah Marshall and Eliotte Woodford waved to admirers between running backstage for wardrobe changes and joining Swift center-stage. Pianist Karina DePiano stayed at the keys the whole concert but danced and sang to every tune. The other bandmates and vocalists were on the opposite, left corner.

Security guards who bordered the stage between the fan barricade and catwalk had stacks of cups and multiple, liter-sized water bottles. They frequently asked if anyone needed hydration. Around the “1989” set two-thirds of the way into the show, Swifties took the guards up on the offer.

At least four times on Swift's third night in Stockholm, fans were escorted by a guard along the stage to an area where they would get medical attention. One of the four was carried by a guard who asked his cohorts to get the girl water. Outside, the night chill hovered at 54 degrees and inside the arena’s temperature was tepid at best.

Several water stations on the floor included disposable cups with multiple faucets over a bathtub where fans could fill up.

At one point during the acoustic set, Swift paused to ask fans , “Someone in the front row, can you tell me yes or no to this question: When you guys are putting a bunch of flashlights up in a group, does that mean people need help?”

Best seat in the house?

There are advantages to each section of the floor. The diamond part of the stage is the premier spot for the most close interactions with Swift. It gets the rising platform, smoke shooters and bulk of the performances.

The two base corners by the back screen and the catwalk between the back screen and diamond allow fans to see “The Man” set, “Folklore” cottage and famous “Enchanted” look back as Swift exits the “Speak Now” era. It’s also the space where most entrances and exits happen.

The far end of the catwalk is where the “22" hat is given out, where “Love Story” culminates as flashing lights shoot across the entire arena and where Swift begins “The Tortured Poets Department” era with “But Daddy I Love Him.”

After being to multiple shows, I would vie for a seat looking directly at the stage, perpendicular to the back screen. You get the chance to give your legs and back a rest between eras. You have a designated spot, and you can see the entire show including animations.

The open floor offers two options. For the VIP ticket holder, you get a front row vantage of the record-breaking show along with the best photo and video opportunities. But if you’re not in VIP and on the floor, succumb to not getting the best media and dance in your best dress, fearless.

PGA Tour Champions are back in Des Moines this week for the annual Principal Charity Classic at Wakonda Club.

Since 2007, the event has raised over $53 million for Iowa children's charities.

The three-day, 54-hole tournament has a field of 81 players and a purse of $2 million, with $300,000 going to the winner. Stephen Ames won the 2023 PCC.

Don’t neglect Wuthering Waves’ Tower of Adversity. It’s a real challenge with some pretty neat rewards.

Wuthering Waves has a few late and endgame challenges for keen players to take on while they wait for new content, and one of these is the Tower of Adversity . Consisting of Towers with varying stages, this particular challenge forces you to use different Resonators while taking on timed waves of enemies.

And while the pressure is on in later stages, especially the Hazard Zone, strategically planning your way through these Towers is well worth it for the rewards you can get. It’s also fun seeing just how challenging Wuthering Waves’ combat really gets… Anyways, here’s everything you need to know about Wuthering Waves’ Tower of Adversity .

There are a few things worth knowing before diving into the Tower of Adversity in Wuthering Waves. First, you might need to still unlock it, and secondly, there’s a Vigor system in play so you can’t rush through the Towers with your dream Team composition.

On this page, we’ve detailed how to unlock the endgame mode, what Zones you’ll be battling through, how the Vigor system works, and last but not least, what rewards you can get.

How to unlock the Tower of Adversity in Wuthering Waves

All tower of adversity zones in wuthering waves, how does the vigor system work in wuthering waves tower of adversity, wuthering waves tower of adversity rewards.

To unlock the Tower of Adversity in Wuthering Waves, you’ll need to first reach Union Level 15 . At this point, you’ll unlock the Alone in the Abyss Tutorial Quest , which leads you to the Tower of Adversity and teaches you a lot of important things about it.

After having unlocked the area, which is located on its own separate island that is west of Jinzhou, you can fast travel there whenever necessary. You can also fast travel to the Resonance Nexus in the area and explore the surroundings, if you fancy.

Once unlocked, by all means continue Wuthering Waves' story and return here later with a powerful set of Resonators. Tower of Adversity’s challenges are no easy feat, but they’re certainly worth completing when you’re ready.

In Wuthering Waves’ Tower of Adversity, there are three Zones of varying difficulty for players to complete. These are the Stable Zone, Experimental Zone, and Hazard Zone.

• Stable Zone: The Stable Zone has one Tower to complete that contains four stages.
• Experimental Zone: The Experimental Zone has two Towers to complete that both contain four stages each.
• Hazard Zone: The Hazard Zone has three Towers to complete. The former two contain four stages, while the final Tower contains just two stages. This particular zone is regularly refreshed.

With each stage that you complete during Tower of Adversity in Wuthering Waves, your Resonators will use up Vigor. The amount of Vigor that they consume will vary in every stage, but by having this mechanic, Wuthering Waves forces you to utilize different Resonators and Team compositions.

As you progress through the stages of each Tower, you’ll find that your Resonators will consume a specific amount of Vigor each time. As such, you may need to use other Resonators later in your challenge who’s Vigor is yet to be depleted. With this in mind, players navigating harder stages of the Tower of Adversity will need to strategically plan which Resonators to use during each stage so that they’re not left with a middling, underleveled team for later in the challenge.

You can bag a grand total of 2500 Astrite by clearing every single stage in the Tower of Adversity, as well as plenty of resources. These include Resonance Potions, Shell Credits, Energy Cores, and Sealed Tubes.

You’ll also earn Hazard Records - a currency exclusive to the Tower of Adversity - that can be spent on materials, tuners, and Shell Credits in the Adversity Exchange Store.
