Shania Twain has announced a massive UK tour – including her first ever show in Wales

Man, it almost feels like summer. Okay, maybe sunny evenings and BBQs are still a way off, but festival lineups are starting to be unveiled – and if that’s not a sign of brighter days, we don’t know what is.

This year, one headline act has got us particularly pumped for festival season . Fresh off the back of announcing her headline slot at London’s BST Hyde Park , legendary diva Shania Twain has only gone and revealed that she’ll be doing a whole tour of UK festivals this summer. 

Among those shows, Twain will be headlining Chepstow Summer Sessions, which will be the first time that the country pop star has ever played in Wales. And you can bet that she’ll be belting out all the classics — ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman’, ‘That Don't Impress Me Much’ and ‘You're Still The One’, to name just a few.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Queen of Country Pop’s British shows this summer. 

When is Shania Twain going on tour in the UK?

The Canadian icon will be headlining a string of UK festivals in June and July 2024. 

What are the confirmed dates?

June 27: Belfast, Ormeau Park

June 28: Dublin, Malahide Castle

July 2:  Stirling, City Park

July 4: Lancashire, Lytham Green

July 5: Chepstow Racecourse

July 7: London, BST Hyde Park 

When do Shania tickets go on sale?

General tickets for Hyde Park or Stirling City Park will go on sale on Wednesday, February 14 at 10am.  You can get yours here . 

Is there a presale?

There is, but exactly when depends on which date you’re going for. Presale for Belfast's Belsonic fest is happening now until 8am on Thursday, February 15, while BST Hyde Park’s presale is also currently live. 

You can get early access to the Chepstow Summer Sessions and Lytham Festival dates from 9am on Wednesday, February 14. Presale for Stirling will only be open an hour before general sale goes live at 10am on the same day. 

How much will tickets cost?

Again, that depends on where you choose to go and whether you’ll settle for standard or go VIP. If we go by previous years, you can expect the Chepstow and Stirling Summer Sessions to start from around £63, while Belsonic tickets usually start at around £42.

Full line-up announced for Shania Twain at London’s BST Hyde Park 2024

The star will head to the capital next month

The full line-up for Shania Twain ‘s headline show at BST Hyde Park 2024 in London has been announced – you can check it out below.

The star will top the bill at the summer concert series on Sunday, July 7 following her legends slot at Glastonbury on June 30 .

It was previously confirmed that she will be joined by special guests The Corrs . Today (June 10), organisers have revealed more acts that will open for her in Hyde Park.

Completing the bill are Anne-Marie , Elle King, Natalie Imbruglia , Nell Mescal , Hannah Grae , Cate, Dea Matrona, Natalie Shay and Germein. You can buy any remaining tickets here , and see the full line-up below.

Speaking about her forthcoming show, Twain said: “I’ve seen so many of my own musical heroes headlining at Hyde Park and have wonderful summer memories there. It is a real privilege to headline my own show this year. It’s going to be a shit-kicking party!”

Also headlining BST Hyde Park this summer are  Kings Of Leon  (June 30),  Morgan Wallen  (July 4)  Andrea Bocelli  (July 5),  Robbie Williams (July 6), Stevie Nicks  (July 12),  Kylie Minogue  (July 13) and  Stray Kids  (July 14).

Shania Twain released her sixth and most recent album, ‘Queen Of Me’, in February 2023. Speaking to NME the following month , the ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ star expressed her desire to take on Glastonbury ‘s coveted Legends Slot.

“It’s on my wish list – absolutely,” she said. “So I’ll make sure I do that. It’s a legendary thing, I know, but it’s on my wish list.”

Meanwhile, Twain recently praised Taylor Swift .

“That girl is working her butt off. She is living an exhausting existence, but she’d dedicated and committed to herself, to her art, and her work. It isn’t even about ambition, though I’m sure that most people would call her ambitious,” Twain said.

Swift meanwhile, recently completed the first three nights of her ‘Eras’ tour in the UK . She will now play three shows in Liverpool from June 13-15, one night in Cardiff on June 18 and three in London’s Wembley Stadium on June 18-22. She then heads to Dublin on June 28, before taking the tour around Europe.

Shania Twain announces UK and Ireland outdoor shows for summer 2024

Shania Twain will play a series of outdoor shows across the UK and Ireland throughout summer 2024. 

The country-pop icon – who returned to the top of the UK charts last year with ‘ Queen Of Me ‘ – has announced six huge gigs, launching June 27 at Belsonic in Belfast, Northern Ireland, before performing in Dublin, Stirling, Lytham St Annes, and Chepstow.

She’ll close out the run with her previously-announced headline show at BST Hyde Park in London on July 7.

Country music icon Shania Twain will be coming to one of the main stages at Glastonbury over the weekend, joining the likes of Coldplay, Dua Lipa as one of the headline acts. The US singer-songwriter, who is best known for hits including You're Still The One, Man! I Feel Life A Woman! and That Don't Impress Me Much, has said she feels honoured to have been chosen to perform for the Somerset festival goers.

Posting a message to her fans recent on Twitter/ X, she wrote: "The legends slot at GLASTONBURY 2024 - Another jewel in my crown!! I feel so honoured and so excited about this one! Thinking about what to wear already and tell me, what should we sing together?! Let’s make history with this ultimate dream performance!!"

And posting a video clip on Instagram, she said: "This is a dream come true! I have been asked about Glastonbury now for years and it's finally coming together. I'm packing my wellies and my raincoat, and of course my cowboy hat, so I'll see you in the beautiful Somerset countryside this summer."

Shania will perform on the Pyramid Stage at 3.45pm on Sunday, June 30. and will follow Shania Twain's performance. Her setlist will for one hour and 15 minutes.

Gearing up for another monumental chapter, five-time GRAMMY® Award-winning legend and the best-selling female artist in country music history Shania Twainwill release her new album, Queen of Me, on February 3rd 2023 via EMI. It notably stands out as her sixth original full-length offering and first record since 2017.

Rumours of a new tour began circulating on the internet in recent months and fans will be delighted to hear that, to celebrate this next era in style, Shania will embark on the Queen of MeTour across the UK and Ireland. Shania Twain has announced a special edition vinyl release, Greatest Hits Summer Tour Edition 2024 . In celebration of Shania’s biggest summer yet with massive shows across the UK and Ireland, this new super limited edition vinyl highlights a variety of Shania’s best-selling records.

Some of these hits include the 2024 remastered versions of multi-platinum chart smashes such as “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!,” “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” and “You’re Still The One,” as well as the single “Giddy Up!” from her latest UK No.1 album, Queen Of Me . Greatest Hits Summer Tour Edition 2024 will be available on June 28 and is available to pre-order now.

The release of Greatest Hits Summer Tour Edition 2024 will come just days before Shania’s highly anticipated performance on the iconic Glastonbury Pyramid Stage in the “Legends” slot, as part of her extensive UK and Ireland summer tour.

Shania’s 1997 single “Honey I’m Home” opens Side 2 and features on the LP’s artwork. Shania said regarding the track, “‘Honey I’m Home’ seemed fitting for this album cover. I love being in the UK so much and this huge run of festivals feels like a homecoming for me – what an honor and a joy!”

The UK and Ireland dates follow the first leg of Shania’s forthcoming Las Vegas residency, Come On Over – The Las Vegas Residency – All The Hits! , which she will perform at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino until December 2024.

Eilleen Regina "Shania" Twain OC ( eye-LEEN ... shə-NY-ə; née Edwards; born August 28, 1965) is a Canadian singer-songwriter. She has sold over 100 million records, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time and the best-selling female artist in country music history. Her success garnered her several titles, including the "Queen of Country Pop". Billboard named her as the leader of the '90s country-pop crossover stars. Raised in Timmins, Ontario, Twain pursued singing and songwriting from a young age before signing with Mercury Nashville Records in the early 1990s. Her self-titled debut studio album was a commercial failure upon release in 1993. After collaborating with producer and later husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange, she rose to fame with her second studio album, The Woman in Me (1995), which brought her widespread success. It sold over 20 million copies worldwide, spawned eight singles, including "Any Man of Mine" and earned her a Grammy Award. Twain's third studio album, Come On Over (1997), is recognized by Guinness World Records as the biggest-selling studio album by a female solo artist. It also became the best-selling country album, best-selling album by a Canadian, and one of the world's best-selling albums of all time, selling over 40 million copies worldwide. Stage looked amazing with great props and lighting and Shania sang all her hits and a few more so brilliantly, she got the crowd on their feet and it was just electric. Enjoyed every minute. I had the best time of my life she was everything I expected and more it was a present for my 65th birthday and I certainly wasn't disappointed I loved every minute of it it was absolutely fantastic I couldn't walk after it for a couple of days but it was worth it I've waited 20 years to see her and she was as good as the day she started out and just as beautiful can't wait to see her again could have stayed there all night and we just got home from New Jersey that morning love love loved it

What an amazing energetic awesome concert!!! Shania was better than I ever dreamed she would be. She played for 2 hours straight playing a mix of old and new and sounded so GOOD in person!!! Her female drummer was HOT!! She can play with any guy out there hands down!!! I’ve been a Shania fan ever since she first came out years and years ago and this concert did nothing but make me a BIGGER fan!! 5 star rating easily

Glastonbury, the world’s most famous music festival, returns this month and will see thousands of fans flocking to Worthy Farm in Somerset.

Co-organiser Emily Eavis and her team are preparing to welcome revellers to the site and play host to some of the biggest artists across pop, rock, indie, R&B, rap, punk and soul.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the big weekend.

When is Glastonbury 2024?

The gates to Glastonbury Festival 2024 will open at around 8am Wednesday 26 June, with the event running until Sunday 30 June. The majority of the live music performances take place between 29-30 June, with many of them also shown on TV.

A word of warning: there is no entertainment or facilities in the Glastonbury car parks, and guests are expected to remain in their cars until the festival gates open. Car parks will be open from 9pm on Tuesday 25 June, allowing festival-goers to avoid the worst of the traffic and arrive through the night.

Who’s playing Glastonbury this year?

After months of speculation and rumours that several bookings had fallen through, this year’s festival will be headlined by Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA , while country-pop superstar Shania Twain will take on the Legends Slot.

It was rumoured that Madonna was a strong contender to headline, as Eavis has previously expressed her desire to have the pop icon play the Pyramid Stage. However, The Independent understands that negotiations collapsed due to various requirements from the “Hung Up” star’s team, including the estimated cost of putting on a show that would match her 2024 Celebration tour.

Other rumoured artists in the running were Stevie Nicks, Cher and Stevie Wonder.

Other artists on the lineup include Avril Lavigne, Cyndi Lauper, Little Simz, Seventeen, Idles, The Last Dinner Party, Camila Cabello, Burna Boy, London Grammar, PJ Harvey, Janelle Monae, Fat White Family, Sugababes, Fatboy Slim, Michael Kiwanuka, Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club, Jessie Ware and Paloma Faith.

Are there any Glastonbury 2024 tickets left and how much do they cost?

The Glastonbury resale took place in April and, due to typically high demand, sold out in just 22 minutes. The cost of getting into the 2024 festival was £360 per person including the booking fee, up from £340 last year.

Eavis justified the hike last year in a statement that said: “We have tried very hard to minimise the increase in price on the ticket but we’re facing enormous rises in the costs of running this vast show, while still recovering from the huge financial impact of two years without a festival because of Covid.”

Are there any other ways to get into Glastonbury festival?

Besides the general resale, another great way to get into Glastonbury is by volunteering. Registration to volunteer for charities WaterAid and Oxfam has closed, but spaces do occasionally become available if people drop out.

Greenpeace also offers free entry to the festival and three meals a day to volunteers. In return, you are expected to work a minimum of five eight-hour shifts during the festival between 25 June and 1 July. However, applications for 2024 are now also closed.

Glastonbury 2024 line-up causing more headaches with ‘unforgivable’ clashes

The initial line-up for Glastonbury Festival 2024 left much to be desired and it seems organisers just can’t impress ticketholders this year.

Tickets sold out way back in October, with a lucky few grabbing extra releases in April – but the organisers have held out on releasing the line up until now.

More acts have been revealed with the likes of Squeeze, James, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, and the Snuts joining Coldplay and Dua Lipa at Worthy Farm.

Glasto organisers have shared the full set timings and finally confirmed the entire line-up — with over 3,000 acts performing across the festival weekend in June.

However, with set timings comes artist clashes and fans were quick to complain about some timing decisions they found ‘unforgivable’.

Idles will be competing with The Fontaines, Dua Lipa , and Jamie XX as Coldplay, Disclosure, and Jessie Ware all fight for the Saturday night headlining attention.

In a timing fumble (in Pride month no less), Janelle Monae, Avril Lavigne and rising star Baby Queen are all filling the Sunday 6pm slots.

Commenting on the official Instagram post, Chris Woodage vented: ‘Fontaines/idles clash is slightly unforgivable!’

‘Why are the clashes so bad,’ asked Perrie Sian while Harry Johnson said: ‘Why would you clash so many big artists? Coldplay/ disclosure, Jessie ware ???’

‘IDLES AND FONTAINS CLASH??What a joke!’ commented Kristian Whatcott.

A more measured response came from Simon Hawkins who pointed out: ‘A lot of people very upset that the whole lineup hasn’t been planned around their individual preferences.’

However, not everyone was lamenting the news asJack Webb on X said: ‘Overall better than I thought but the Saturday is woeful however I’m still extremely excited.’

Rosie Harrison added: ‘Very excited and the lineup is only one part of glasto for me but I do feel slightly underwhelmed by this lineup this year. It doesn’t really seem very current to me or like it’s really embracing new and diverse sounds as well as it could?

‘Where is Chappell Roan or Troye Sivan? Both been massive artists this year?’

In an overwhelming announcement, the iconic festival has added Seasick Steve, Jamie Webster, the Staves, the Skatalites, the Vaccines, Johnny Flynn, Rachel Chinouriri.

00s icons The Zutons, who were behind Amy Winehouse’s Valerie , will also take to the Other Stage alongside Avril Lavigne, Idles, and Two Door Cinema Club.

There are still a few ‘to be announced’ slots lurking on the line-up – most notably a mysteriously empty 6pm slot on the Woodsies stage on Saturday, June 29.

After huge backlash last year for the male-dominated headline bill , Glasto has made moves to bring female acts to the forefront.

SZA will be  making history at this year’s festival , as it marks the first time in Glastonbury’s 54-year history that female acts have taken two of the three headline slots.

It’s Dua Lipa’s second time at Glastonbury but first time headlining, after she played the John Peel Stage back in 2017 – now called Woodsies – although many fans hoped she’d appear last year as a guest for Sir Elton John’s set .

Shania Twain  will be filling the coveted Sunday teatime Legends slot, while the likes of US rock band LCD Soundsystem, British rapper Little Simz, 80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper, Keane, Nigerian singer Burna Boy, PJ Harvey, British soul star Olivia Dean and Paloma Faith are also set to perform on the Pyramid Stage.

However, the choice to bring Coldplay back to headline once again has been a sore spot for many ticket holders.

The band, who have  been busy with their Music of the Spheres world tour , have officially become the first act to headline Glastonbury a record five times, after top of the bill appearances in 2016, 2011, 2005 and their first time, over 20 years ago, in 2002.

The band had also previously played the New Tent in 1999 and The Other Stage in 2000, so they are true Glastonbury veterans, pulling ahead of The Cure as four-timers.

Many of the smaller stages have announced line ups in previous weeks, with Russell Crowe set to play the Acoustic Stage on Saturday evening while Idris Elba flexes his DJ talents in the Stonebridge Bar.

The popular Avalon stage is hosting numerous throwback icons like Kate Nash, Lulu (before her retirement), Haircut 100, and The Feeling as well as new artists like Baby Queen and Caity Baser.

Charli XCX is heading to the Dance Stage with her Partygirl offshoot, while Shygirl is Thursday’s pop offering for anyone hoping to get on their feet before the festival kicks off properly.

The Arcadia will be flooded with DJs like Fatboy Slim,Eric Prydz, Andy C, Amelie Lens, and Barry Can’t Swim, along with a huge dragonfly replacing the iconic fire-breathing spider.

Goldie, Faithless and Camelphat will head to the Glade while dance-pop duo Confidence Man is doing four different sets – including a three-hour concept called Active Scenes at the Greenpeace stage.

The weekend will also host panel discussions at the Left Field stage debating topics such as trans rights, the Post Office scandal, the Israel-Palestine conflict, and of course the General Election.

It’s set to be a muddy one but when has that ever stopped Glasto-goers? The festival kicks off on Wednesday, June 26, running until Sunday, June 30.

Shania Twain and UW-Madison grad Yung Gravy just released a song together. And it's an ode to ... White Claw?

Gravy Train? More like Gravy Twain.

That's what TikTokers are coining this collab. University of Wisconsin-Madison alum Yung Gravy and queen of country pop Shania Twain just released a song together.

And, it's an ode of sorts to the hard seltzer people love or love to hate on: White Claw.

Gravy (aka Matthew Hauri) is in his "country Gravy season," according to his TikTok bio. And, who better to walk through that season with than a five-time Grammy Award winner and the legend behind hits like "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" and "That Don't Impress Me Much."

This is the second recent country-inspired song Gravy has put out. His other, " Clementine ," samples the wildly popular "Chicken Fried" by Zac Brown Band.

Both Gravy and Twain played Milwaukee last year — Gravy a couple of times . And Twain, for the first time in 20 years . Gravy, a Minnesota native, is due to be back for a show at the Wisconsin State Fair later this summer on his "Grits & Gravy" tour.

Here's a look at the unlikely duo's new single, " White Claw ," and how to catch Gravy live in Wisconsin:

While the rapper is known for his upbeat, tongue-in-cheek bops, like "Betty" and "oops!," Gravy's tune with Twain is giving twangy ballad.

Is it still every bit as out there? Oh yes, absolutely.

After a melancholy sounding intro complete with harmonica and strumming, Gravy's deep — and we mean deep — voice tells listeners to "Grab a Claw, baby."

The rapper sings about a recently divorced gal who's gluten-free.

"I'm a gentleman, so without a pause, I brought her a case of Claws," the lyrics go.

Fact check: According to White Claw's website , the hard seltzer is indeed gluten-free.

In the chorus, Gravy says he has "every kind," which he rhymes with "Lemon Lime" while listing a few other flavor options for his lady.

Then, we get our first taste of Twain. She jumps in with "Oh, whiskey's just not for me and tequila makes it hard to see at all."

"So, when he calls," she continues. Gravy answers with: "Say f---- it all. Baby, let's have a Claw."

In Verse 2, the country pop superstar gives kudos to "the boss," doing "all he can for what a woman wants."

Then Twain says that man likes to think she's broken because it makes him "feel important." We reckon that's a major red flag.

"He'd give anything to save me," she sings. "Oh, he thinks I'm his baby."

She confesses that sometimes she'd love to leave him, but thinks "he'd just stop breathing." And, all of her friends — and their mothers — love him. Gravy does have a thing for moms.

And, why do they all love him? Apparently, "because he brought the Claws."

After duetting the chorus, Gravy dives into Verse 3. There's a pretty darn cute line in there about always catching the woman he's singing about "cheesing" even though she's dairy-free. But, besides that, the rest of the verse pretty much alludes to substance use.

The two finish out the song together with one more round of the chorus.

In promos for the collab, Gravy and Twain are hardcore twinning. And, honestly, it just feels right since they've both been known to don some flashy and bold fits.

They're sporting furry black coats lined with hot pink, satin-looking pink heeled boots with gold accents, and the same statement necklace.

Twain is in a chainmail-esque dress with black torn tights, while Gravy is in a shirt made of the same material. He paired it with damask-printed black pants, a black cowboy hat and gold watch.

In one of their videos , Gravy is singing the "White Claw" chorus alone on a white couch. When it gets to Twain's part, she comes into frame and playfully elbows him as she takes a seat.

In another , they do the hilarious TikTok trend that features two people annoyed after realizing they've both put on the same outfit. It's usually obvious that one of them wouldn't typically be wearing whatever it is.

When Twain comes out of a room and sees Gravy in the ensemble she's wearing, she lip-syncs "s---" with the audio. Gravy says the same thing after realizing what's up.

Yung Gravy bringing 'Grits & Gravy' tour to Wisconsin State Fair

Gravy will be headlining the Wisconsin State Fair's Main Stage  on Aug. 3. Nicky Youre, a pop newcomer who had a big hit with "Sunroof" in 2022, will open for him.

Shania Twain's surprising demand on tour due to her fear — 'It's one of the most depressing things about life right now'

The "you're still the one" singer got candid ahead of her glastonbury performance.

Shania Twain doesn't like bugs - not many people do. But her dislike of creepy crawlies is so strong that she has a surprising demand for whenever she goes on tour.

The "You're Still The One" star revealed that she keeps a bug sweeper on tour wherever she goes, as she spoke on the British food podcast, Dish from Waitrose with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, ahead of taking to the stage at Glastonbury.

"Yeah, I don't want to be around insects", she said. But instead of feeling disgust at bugs, she instead felt sad about the reason why she felt the need to avoid them. 

"It's so sad. It's one of the most depressing things about life right now", she said. 

"I love nature, I want to roll around in the leaves, I want to climb trees. I want to, you know. But I was bitten by a tick," she explained. As a result of this bite, she "got Lyme's disease", which she described as a "very destructive disease." 

She explained that her experience of Lyme's disease left her afraid of catching something else from an insect as well.

The singer went on to explain that her only diva request was that she didn't want anyone to smoke around her. At the age of 58 years old, Shania's request certainly makes a difference from 50 years ago when she was singing in smoky Canadian bars.

"I started singing on live stages at eight years old", she said. "As a child, the stages that I learned on as a child were bars. You know, smoky, smelly. Those are not places where I'm like, oh, yeah, let me just go show my stuff. Yeah, get ready, here I come."

As Shania prepares for Glastonbury, she revealed in a separate interview to Nick Grimshaw that she might make a big change to one of biggest hits - "That Don't Impress Me Much" as she performs in the Legends slot.

Referring to the iconic Brad Pitt line, Nick asked Shania who she might pick in 2024 for the song. It turned out that if the singer were writing the song now, she'd likely pick Harry Styles for the role in the song.

In fact, she even tried adding it in on the spot, saying: "And it sings good too!"

"I sort of see Brad Pitt as a James Dean of his generation," she explained. "And I see Harry Styles as that as well, can't you see that? He's rugged, but pretty, does that make sense? It's like a charm that he has."
