S Club singer Jon Lee has revealed the real reason the band pulled the plug on their hotly-anticipated reunion tour after only one night.

Fans eager to see the Don't Stop Moving stars in action in Liverpool on Friday night were left furious when the show was cancelled just hours before the group were set to hit the stage. In a statement it was claimed the Good Times show had been pulled at the last minute due to an "due to an unforeseen technical issue".

The newly reunited band's first gig went down a storm in Manchester on Thursday as the group - which now consists of Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett, Jo O'Meara, Jon Lee and Bradley McIntosh - belted out their most -loved hits. Social media had been awash with fans saying how much they'd missed the 90s gang and their excitement at the comeback, making the last minute axe for their second gig even more baffling.

Now singer Jon, 41, has set the record straight on why they were forced to pull out of their performance as he set the record straight while lying in bed.

Explaining the short notice, he said: "We're so sorry our Liverpool date has been cancelled tonight.

S Club star Jon Lee has revealed the real reason the band stopped their reunion tour after only one night

"There was a fire in the building, which knocked out some of the electrics, which meant it was completely unsafe for us to allow an audience into the arena. It was not our decision, we were fighting to perform."

Thankfully, Jon, Bradley, Rachel, Jo O'Meara and Tina are expected to grace to the stage in Merseyside on Monday 30 October. Taking to Instagram explaining all tickets to Friday's show are still valid, S Club's Instagram account announced: "Happily the band are able to reschedule the show to Monday 30th October 2023 and all tickets remain valid. If you are unable to make the new date refunds are available from the point of purchase but we all hope you can make the rescheduled date."

Despite the fire being beyond the band's control, many fans were disappointed to have missed the Never Had A Dream Come True stars, with several blaming Friday 13th for the cancellation. One said: "Should have known from the start when the gig was booked for Friday the 13th. While another echoed: "Friday the 13th is real. Now S club 7 has been cancelled for the show tonight."

S Club fans were in tears when the reunion show kicked off in Manchester on Thursday after the band paid a moving tribute to late band member, Paul Cattermole, who tragically died in April. As a montage of the singer played on the screen behind them, Jo, Tina, Rachel, Bradley and Jon danced in unison as they remembered their dear friend.

With his voice breaking, Bradley said: "That's our brother right there, man. Gone but you'll never be forgotten. We miss you every single day. You know what we've been through this last year. It's been so tragic, it's been so sad." Meanwhile, Jon said: “Thank you so much, it's very special for us this evening obviously, we dedicate this performance to Paul."

The iconic 90s pop group were due to perform at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on Friday, 13 October, as part of their 25th anniversary tour.

However, Bradley McIntosh, Rachel Stevens, Jo O'Meara, Tina Barrett, and Jon Lee are unable to take to the stage in Merseyside due to the venue confirming a 'technical issue.'

Instead, representatives from the arena say that the gig has been postponed to Monday, 30 October.

In a statement, they said: "Due to an unforeseen technical issue that is beyond our control and impacting the power supply, we have sadly been forced to take the decision - with the event promoter - to postpone tonight's performance by S Club.

On Thursday, the band kicked off their 25th-anniversary tour six months after the death of former band member Paul Cattermole.

As S Club took the stage as a five, they remembered Paul by playing an emotional montage of the late singer.

In the touching tribute, they could be seen singing his favourited song, Good Times, which the band named the tour in his memory.

Brad looked visibly emotional as he addressed the crowd, saying: "That's our brother right there, man.

"Gone, but you'll never be forgotten. We miss you every single day."

"You know what we've been through this last year,'" he added later on in the show, "It's been so tragic; it's been so sad.'"

S Club have been forced to cancel the second night of their reunion tour.

The pop group were set to perform in Liverpool tonight (13 October), but

the M&S Bank Arena announced the gig has been postponed due to an 'unforeseen technical issue'.

With music that soundtracked our school discos, the group are currently made up of Bradley McIntosh, Rachel Stevens, Jo O'Meara, Tina Barrett and Jon Lee.

They kicked off their comeback tour last night in Manchester and paid an emotional tribute to the late singer, Paul Cattermole.

Part of the iconic S Club 7 line-up, he tragically died on 6 April leaving the remaining members in a state of grief, including Hannah Spearritt.

The Primeval actor withdrew from the ‘The Good Times’ tour earlier this year.

Down from seven to five, the band are performing plenty of their greatest hits in the concerts -obviously including ‘Reach’, ‘S Club Party’ and ‘Bring It All Back’.

Announcing tonight's cancellation, the arena in Liverpool wrote on social media: "We understand that S Club fans and the band will be very disappointed but as the safety and comfort of our visitors is our utmost priority, the show cannot proceed as planned."

S Club were set to reunite as 7.

S Club's statement confirming the cancellation reads: "S Clubbers, We're beyond devastated to announce that tonight's show in Liverpool has had to be postponed by the venue, due to them having an unforeseen technical issue impacting their power supply and therefore your safety.

"We can't begin to express how sorry we are. Especially as we know so many of you have travelled great distances to join us tonight.

"But your safety is our priority always. We're rescheduling tonight's performance in Liverpool to Monday 30th October and all tickets remain valid.

"If you cannot make the new date, refunds are available from your original point of purchase.

"We're absolutely heartbroken, but really hope we will see you then.

"Thank you for continuing to always support us.

"Sending you much love. Brad, Jo, Jon, Rachel, and Tina x."

Despite tonight’s cancellation, tomorrow’s performance in Sheffield is set to go ahead.

S Club 7 reappeared on social media one month after the death of group member Paul Cattermole . The pop singing group announced that the reunion tour would continue in memory of their bandmate.

“It’s been a while since you’ve heard from us but in all honesty, we’ve been in a bit of shock,” Jon Lee says in the video shared on Instagram. “It has taken a while for us to find the right words to describe how we feel about losing our brother Paul.”

Tina Barrett added that the situation is “really sad” while Bradley McIntosh said that they are all “so much in disbelief” about losing Paul and calling him a “unique specimen of a human being.”

“No one could ever replace our Paul but he lives on inside each and every one of us,” McIntosh added.

Jo O’Meara noted that Paul lit up every room he was in and said he was “just a really special person.”

Lee then acknowledged that there were only five members in the video and said that Hannah Spearritt opted not to continue with the reunion tour and decided to opt out of the tour, which would be renamed in honor of Paul.

“The five of us are really excited and geared up to crack on,” Lee continued. “It’s going to be our tribute to Paul. So, we are actually renaming the tour ‘The Good Times Tour,’ which is the song that Paul was going to sing.”

Lee started to break into tears as he talked and Barrett continued explaining why they were going to change the name of the tour.

“We’re calling the tour ‘The Good Times Tour’ in tribute to Paul because that was his song and all fans know that, that was his song. So, it feels right,” she said.

Stevens said that Paul “was such a huge part of this tour” as he was “so involved in everything” that the group had been planning.

S Club 7 will be touring around the U.K. and Ireland in October of this year.

Is S Club 7’s 2023 reunion tour still happening?

The band has given an update following the death of Paul Cattermole last month

Just two months after the group announced a huge comeback tour, S Club 7 member Paul Cattermole died unexpectedly in early April at the age of 46. The cause of the singer's death has still not been confirmed, but police have said that it was not suspicious.

Following Cattermole’s passing, the band released a statement which read: ‘We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.

‘He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.’

The group found fame at the turn of the Millennium, having been put together by music mogul Simon Fuller (who has worked with acts such as Spice Girls, Kelly Clarkson and Amy Winehouse). The last time S Club – known for hits  ‘S Club Party’, ‘Never Had a Dream Come True’ and ‘Reach’ –  performed together was for their ‘Bring It All Back 2015’ tour. The tour was set to mark 25 years since the band first formed.

Of course, S Club fans have been wondering what the fate of the tour will be following the news of Cattermole’s death. Here’s everything we know.

Five members of the band took to Instagram to confirm that the tour is still going ahead. However, they announced that Hannah Spearritt, who was in a relationship with Cattermole while they were in the band, will no longer be joining them at the shows.

In the video, John Lee said: ‘ She won’t be joining us on this tour but we wish her all the best for the future. However, the five of us are really excited and geared up to crack on/’

Rachel Stevens added: ‘He’s always going to be with us. He was such a big part of this tour, so involved in everything that we are planning.

‘And we are just going to keep his memory alive and share it with all of you and it’s going to make it even more special.’

Where can I get tickets for the S Club 7 reunion tour?

Prices range from affordable to very spenny, depending on the kind of package you go for. Tickets start from £39.50 but if you’re after a VIP package, be prepared to part with up to £290.

Their reunion performance also featured a tribute to Cattermole who died aged 46.

An S Club concert scheduled for tonight has been cancelled at the last minute, just one day after the iconic 90s pop band kicked off its highly-anticipated tour.

Bradley McIntosh, Rachel Stevens, Jo O'Meara, Tina Barrett and Jon Lee were expected to grace to the stage in Merseyside on Friday night. However, 'due to an unforeseen technical issue", the arena has confirmed that the gig has been postponed to Monday, October 30.

"Due to an unforeseen technical issue which is beyond our control and is impacting the power supply, we have sadly been forced to take the decision - with the event promoter - to postpone tonight’s performance by S Club. We understand that S Club fans and the band will be very disappointed but as the safety and comfort of our visitors is our utmost priority, the show cannot proceed as planned.

"Happily the band are able to reschedule the show to Monday 30th October 2023 and all tickets remain valid. If you are unable to make the new date refunds are available from the point of purchase but we all hope you can make the rescheduled date."

Fans were quick to react to the shocking news, with many taking to Twitter to share their disappointment and frustration. A number of people speculated that the cancellation was related to today's date, which has been notoriously known for being an unlucky day.

"Should have known from the start when the gig was booked for Friday the 13th," one superstitious person wrote, echoing another who said, "Friday the 13th is real. Now S club 7 has been cancelled for the show tonight."

S Club kickstarted its 25th anniversary tour in Manchester on Thursday evening, six months after the death of former band member Paul Cattermole. Shortly after the 46-year-old died, Hannah Spearritt confirmed that she would not be joining the rest of the group for the comeback concerts across the UK and Ireland.

At last night's show, S Club 7 paid tribute to Paul by playing footage of the late singer from his time in the group. In the touching montage, the Hertfordshire native could be seen singing his favourite song, Good Times, which became the inspiration for the band's tour name after his death. As images of Paul played on the screen, Jo, Tina, Rachel, Bradley and Jon all danced in unison and turned around to reflect on their beloved friend's legacy.

"That's our brother right there, man. Gone but you'll never be forgotten. We miss you every single day," said a visibly emotional Bradley McIntosh.

"You know what we've been through this last year," he added later on in the show. "It's been so tragic, it's been so sad."

The concert had already been rescheduled from its original date of 13 October, when it was postponed due to issues with the venue's power supply.

An S Club fan, who was at the concert, told Sky News the band were performing when "it all went black" and a message played over the tannoy telling people in the arena to "evacuate immediately" and there was a "report of fire in the building".

"Most people went out but some people stayed in their seats and had to be told to leave," said the fan, who asked not to be named.

She said concertgoers were able to return to the arena after about five minutes but they were not given any further information about what caused the evacuation.

She added that she was concerned during the incident due to heightened fears since the Manchester Arena bombing.

There had been reports by concertgoers that there was no option to leave via a marked fire exit.

Concerns were also raised that security checks were not carried out as fans re-entered the arena.

Faye Dyer, chief executive of the ACC Liverpool Group, which runs the arena, apologised to concertgoers, saying "we understand the customer experience was not in line with our high standards on this occasion and for that we are sorry".

"We wish to thank the band and the audience for their patience and co-operation," she added.

"We are proud that incidents of this nature remain rare over the past 15 years of hosting successful live events."

Ms Dyer said that while the building's safety systems "responded appropriately", the arena lights "did not automatically turn on as programmed which meant our manual systems were activated, resulting in a short delay".

She added: "We can confirm that at no point were fire exits blocked. However due to the location of the activation, our stewards directed individuals away from some arena floor fire exits towards others, while the source of the activation was investigated.

"Customer security checks were carried out prior to the show and - as customers remained in very close proximity to the arena for a short amount of time, on private land monitored by CCTV and with additional visual checks put in place for re-entry - the decision was made for them to return to the arena so the show could resume.

"A full check of the arena and systems was carried out in the meantime with the event deemed safe to continue."

In its initial statement on Monday night, the arena said the evacuation was triggered by a "minor incident" - but did not disclose after further details.

S Club, formerly known as S Club 7, kicked off their 25th anniversary reunion tour with a show in Manchester on 12 October.

But less than 24 hours later, they were forced to cancel the original Liverpool date, saying on Instagram that they were "beyond devastated".

They told fans the venue had "an unforeseen technical issue impacting their power supply and therefore your safety".

After 25 years, S Club is bringing it all back to the stage with their 'Good Times' tour

S Club on their "Good Times" tour.

There ain't no party like an S Club party — and U.S. fans are about to find out once again.

The year was 1999 and seven British singers — consisting of Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara, Rachel Steven, Hannah Spearritt and the late Paul Cattermole — were cruising in Miami, enjoying the beach life while performing choreographed moves and singing, “ Don’t stop, never give up/Hold your head high and reach the top/Let the world see what you have got, ” from their debut single “ Bring It All Back .”

If you were a ‘90s kid, S Club (then known as S Club 7) was the catchy and bubbly girl/guy group that not only filled the airwaves but your TV screen with their series “S Club 7 in Miami,” in which they played fictionalized versions of themselves.

“We’ve been going through a lot of old footage recently,” Lee, sitting next to Barrett, Lee, McIntosh, O’Meara and Stevens, tells TODAY.com via Zoom in England. “So that’s brought back loads of fond memories — some that have been forgotten, actually, in the back of my mind somewhere.”

S Club is embarking on the U.S. and Canada leg of their "Good Times" tour in November 2023.

The five singers are all in their pre-show attire, consisting of casual T-shirts and jeans, before they get glammed up in bright-colored leotards for the ladies and sequins for the guys.

"We've actually been wearing less clothes than we've ever worn, you know, but in a classy way. It's very glam," Barrett says, adding that Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez were their inspiration.

Lounging on velvet dark grey couches backstage ahead of their show, they will take the stage in just hours to perform their biggest hits to screaming fans. The nostalgia runs deep for the group and the early aughts.

Bringing it all back to the stage and their fans

Twenty-five years since they debuted, the five members reunited to celebrate their anniversary milestone with their “S Club: The Good Times Tour.” They’re also honoring their late group member Cattermole, who died of heart-related issues in April at the age 46, less than two months after they  announced the reunion tour . Spearritt is not participating.

After releasing their debut album, “S Club,” in October 1999, their show continued to air on Fox Family (now Freeform) for four seasons until 2002. Four albums later, hit singles like “S Club Party,” “Natural” and “Never Had a Dream Come True,” which reached No. 10 on the U.S. Billboard Chart, along with various TV and film projects, they called it quits in 2003. S Club reunited in various capacities over the last two decades, but this was meant to be their full comeback.

“You never really know,” Steven says about reuniting. “We reunited in 2015, and then things bubbled up every now and again. But this being our 25th anniversary, we got an email from (group creator) Simon Fuller, and it’s all about timing, isn’t it? We’re all in that place where we were just really ready to come back ... There’s so much love, and that nostalgia for people I think is really important right now and it was the perfect time.”

A reunion tour was a year in the making — and filled with heartbreak

Planning for the 25th anniversary tour began in November 2022 while the official news was announced in February of this year. At the time, all seven original members were on board and only touring in Europe in October. They later announced dates in the U.S. and Canada, which have since been rescheduled for 2024.

On April 7, the group revealed Cattermole’s death in a statement shared on their social media. A month later, the five members shared tearful memories of their “brother” while announcing that Spearritt wasn’t going to be joining the tour. They also renamed it “The Good Times Tour” in tribute to Cattermole, who sang “Good Times” on their third album.

S Club paying tribute to Paul during their show.

The group shares — and as fans have seen on their social media — that there’s a section of the show that’s dedicated to Cattermole.

“It’s old footage and things like that, which is really emotional and a lot of fans have found it very emotional at the same time,” Lee says. “It’s a celebration of him rather than, it’s not doom and gloom.”

"Paul has been such a massive part in this tour in every single way." Rachel Stevens

Stevens adds that Cattermole has been “such a massive part in this tour in every single way” and that he’s always on their mind.

O’Meara remembers getting “quite emotional” during the opening night of the tour on Oct. 12 in Manchester, England.

“Just before we actually walked out to that crowd, because I think that’s when it suddenly sort of hit all of us, like, ‘Wow, there’s a lot of people out there and they’re still screaming out for S Club,’” she says. “It can get quite overwhelming sometimes, I think we just feel so lucky.”

These are the days we’ll always remember

Aside from reminiscing on their early days and being back on stage, there's a new generation of S Clubers. The ladies are now mothers and are excited for their children to see them on stage.

"I'm really excited because this is gonna be the first time Roman is seeing me on stage with the band and on this scale," Barrett says of her 7-year-old son. "So he's really excited."

Stevens echoes the sentiments when it comes to her two daughters, Amelie, 12, and Minnie, 9. O'Meara is also mother to 15-year-old son Lenny. They brought out their kids to their Oct. 27 show in London.

Earlier this year, S Club released their first song in 20 years titled “These Are The Days” in honor of Cattermole. Pretty soon, fans will get even more new music.

“There will definitely be new music next year. We don’t know what it is yet, but that’s something we’ve all talk about,” Lee teases, with Barrett adding, “And we’ve always done TV stuff. So yeah, maybe a documentary, who knows.”

In the meantime, the singers are excited to come back to the U.S. “and connect with the American fans,” McIntosh says.

There will definitely be good times and maybe a few tears during the show.

It's been a year of reflection and taking care of one's mental and physical health, they say. But above all else, they've enjoyed spending the family they've created.

“As a group, I think we now are closer than we’ve ever been. Before, it was our job, it was our life, but after 20 years you realize we’re connected together forever for the rest of our lives,” Lee says.

“There’s only seven people in the world that know what it’s like to be in S Club 7 and we’re the guys. We always had that connection with each other and I think we sort of, now that we’re older, time has passed, we realized that we are this little family.”

Will S Club 7's Reunion Be Canceled After Paul Cattermole's Death?

Will S Club 7's reunion still happen after Paul Cattermole's death?

Cattermole's family and S Club 7 released a statement to BBC  confirming the band member's death at the age of 46. It revealed that he was found Thursday at his Dorset home but was declared dead later in the afternoon.

Dorset Police has since ruled that there was no something suspicious involved in his passing, but Paul Cattermole's exact cause of death remains undetermined as of press time.

Will S Club 7 Reunion Get Postponed After Paul Cattermole's Death?

Cattermole passed away a few weeks after S Club 7 announced its upcoming massive reunion tour to mark its 25 th  anniversary. The planned 11-date tour in the UK and Ireland was supposed to include the late performer alongside the remaining members, Jo O'Meara, Jon Lee, Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, and Tina Barrett.

"There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel," the band wrote. "We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us."

Following the news, queries about whether S Club 7 reunion tour will be affected by the tragic event emerged. As of press time, the band is yet to confirm whether there will be changes in the schedule or if it will postpone the dates all at once.

S Club 7's 11-date tour is set to kick off at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena on Oct. 13. It will then visit several cities, including Glasgow and Dublin, before ending the leg at London's O2 Arena on Oct. 28.

Ticket sales already started on Feb 17., and the outlets also have not announced any potential changes with the tour.

Paul Cattermole Was Excited About S Club 7 Reunion

Cattermole's unexpected death came after the late performer told BBC Radio 2's Scott Mills in February how excited he felt about the reunion. However, he and the members noted at that time that there might be some things they might not be able to do anymore because of their age.

Per Cattermole, he might no longer be able to show off his original dance moves, including his famous caterpillar move.

s club reunion tour cancelled

S Club CANCEL their show at the last minute

S Club have been forced to cancel their gig just hours ahead of the performance due an unforeseen technical issue at the venue.

The 90s pop band are just one show into their highly-anticipated Good Times reunion tour and performed last night at the AO Arena in Manchester.

Bradley McIntosh , Rachel Stevens , Jo O'Meara , Tina Barrett and Jon Lee were expected to perform again in Merseyside on Friday night.

However, due to the issue they have had to reschedule the show until Monday October 30 at the M&S  Bank Arena in Liverpool.

The band said in a statement: 'S Clubbers, we are beyond devastated to announce that tonight's show in Liverpool has had to be postponed by the venue, due to them having an unforeseen technical issue impacting their power supply and therefore your safety. We can't begin to express how sorry we are.

'Especially as we know so many of you have travelled great distances to join us tonight. But your safety is our priority always. We're rescheduling tonight's performance in Liverpool to Monday 30th October and all tickets remain valid.

'If you cannot make the new date, refunds are available from your original point of purchase. We're absolutely heartbroken, but really hope we will see you then.

'Thank you for continuing to always support us. Sending you much love. Brad, Jo, Jon, Rachel, and Tina x.'

Fans took to social media to share their disappointment after the show was cancelled just two hours before it was set to begin.

One person revealed they had travelled from the U.S. for the gig, writing: 'Flew here from the States for this. Obviously won't be able to make a rescheduled date. This is devastating.'

Others also complained that they had travelled to Liverpool for the tour date and would not be able to make the slated rescheduled date.

One wrote: 'Gutted, I've come all of the way from Swindon, I can't make Monday.'

Another wrote: 'When you spend FIVE hours travelling, spend over £250 on a hotel and fuel.. to be told two hours before the gig it's postponed... now to spend another £250 or get a refund'

Others complained that the rescheduled date is now on a Monday rather than a weekend night, meaning that they are unable to let their hair down due to having work the next day.

One fan said: 'Rearranging for a Monday night at such short notice? The friends I was meant to be going with all work Monday nights and I'm not gonna go along to the rescheduled date on my own...'

A statement from the arena, read: 'Due to an unforeseen technical issue which is beyond our control and is impacting the power supply, we have sadly been forced to take the decision - with the event promoter - to postpone tonight's performance by S Club.

'We understand that S Club fans and the band will be very disappointed but as the safety and comfort of our visitors is our utmost priority, the show cannot proceed as planned.

'Happily the band are able to reschedule the show to Monday 30th October 2023 and all tickets remain valid. If you are unable to make the new date refunds are available from the point of purchase but we all hope you can make the rescheduled date.'

'We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.

'As the technical issue is in an isolated area of the campus, we are not anticipating that any other events will be affected.'

On Thursday night as the band kicked off their tour, S Club paid tribute to late band member Paul Cattermole , who passed away earlier this week.

After classics Don't Stop Moving and You're My Number One the band left the stage and the lights dipped.

A video montage of Paul appeared on the big screens at the venue in honour of the singer who died of natural causes at the age of 46 in April this year.

Nostalgic footage of him performing his favourite song The Good Times sent the crowd silent as they became overwhelmed with emotion.

Running back onto the stage after the tribute, an out of breath Jon, 41, shouted: 'Manchester, let me hear you raise the roof one last time for Paul!'

As the group walked down the stairs Bradley, 42, said as his voice trembled: 'Wow that's our brother right there man.

'Gone but you will never be forgotten. We miss you every single day.'

Each member took a moment to dedicate the show to Paul.

Jo, 44, said: 'Thank you all so much. All the messages and love and support that you've all showed of us and Paul's family - we are so grateful to every single one of you.

'I would just love to see every single one of you in here right now to show us your hearts for our Paul!'

Jon said: 'Thank you so much. It's very special for us this evening obviously. we dedicate this performance to Paul and The British Heart Foundation.'

Tina, 47, said: 'Tonight is a celebration, so let's Bring It On Back for Paul!'

As a further tribute to Paul, S Club performed the song they wrote in memory of the star - These Are The Days.

Tina introduced the track by saying: 'For twenty years now people have been asking me - when are you guys going to release new music? So we thought this year, let's do it.'

Bradley added: 'And we did. We dedicated this song to Paul and all of the memories we shared.'

Paul died suddenly of natural causes aged 46 and  was found dead on April 6 this year - just two months after he and the band announced they were due to go on a reunion tour.

His body was discovered in his ground floor flat in Wareham, Dorset, devastating his bandmates and fans.

Paul, who made a living as a tarot card reader after quitting S Club 7 in 2002, was said to have been in 'good spirits' when he was seen at a park close to his home days earlier.

His ex-girlfriend and fellow S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt was said to be 'in bits' after she was told the news.

Following his death, the band rebranded as S Club and vowed to go on with the reunion tour.

Hannah, 42, pulled out of the tour and she has since admitted she doesn't know if she will ever sing with S Club again.

She told how 'everything' changed for her after Paul's death and gave her time to reflect on whether rejoining the band was the right thing to do.

Hannah told The Sun : 'Will I ever perform with them again? I just don't know, I'm glad that the tour is still going ahead and the songs will live on, but now I'm looking forward, not backwards.'

She explained that after Paul's death, she realised she couldn't rejoin S Club for the tour, admitting 'it just didn't feel right'.

Hannah apologised to S Club's fans for not deciding to leave but said she had to do what was best for herself and her family.

Actress Hannah claimed she hasn't been in touch with her former bandmates since she left the band, admitting she is sad not to be but insisted she wishes them 'all the best'.

Hannah and Paul dated from 2001 before splitting in 2006, with the pair rekindling their romance in 2015 before finally going their separate ways just months later.

S Club began their tour at the AO Arena in Manchester on Thursday and they will perform at a number of different venues around the UK until their last gig in Birmingham on 29 October.

They are then due to fly out to America next month for six gigs before taking to the stage for one in Canada.

Popular on Variety

Cattermole dated band member Spearritt for five years while they were in the band, and briefly rekindled a relationship in 2015 according to reports.

Cattermole was 21 when he found global stardom as part of the band. Formed in 1998, the group — created by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller — signed with Polydor Records and hit the charts at No. 1 on its debut single, “Bring it All Back.”

More hits followed with “S Club Party” and “Don’t Stop Movin.’” The septet also starred in a successful BBC television series called “Miami 7,” which aired for four seasons. The youth-targeted sitcom — billed as “the Monkees for a new generation” — aired in the U.S. on Fox Family and later on ABC Family, following the group from London to Florida seeking fame, fortune and fun.

Cattermole left S Club 7 in 2002 and formed a rock band called Skua, which split up after a year. He joined S Club at its 2014 reunion. The singer also toured briefly with a production of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” but left due to a back injury. Appearing on British talk show “Loose Women” in 2018, Cattermole detailed his struggles with money. In recent years, he has performed tarot card readings, describing himself as “psychic detective.”

“There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel,” the band wrote. “We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us.”

Black Keys cancel September show in Palm Desert — and apparently their entire tour

Singer-guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney are The Black Keys.

It appears The Black Keys will be keeping their Coachella Valley fans waiting this year as the band has canceled its Sept. 28 show at Acrisure Arena.

The event listing on the arena’s website had been updated Saturday with text explaining that ticket buyers would be refunded through Ticketmaster within 30 days. No reason was given for the cancellation.

However, it appears it's not just the desert date that has been canceled, but all of the 31-show “International Players Tour” the band announced at the start of April.

The tour is no longer mentioned on the band’s website and Ticketmaster also lists the other dates as canceled. The only upcoming show listed on the band's website is a July 6 performance during NASCAR’s Chicago street race that was not announced as part of the tour.

The band does not appear to have made any statements about why the tour has been canceled on its website or social media accounts. The duo performed “Beautiful People (Stay High),” a song from their newly released album, earlier this week on the finale of the TV singing competition “The Voice .”

The lack of an explanation led to much speculation among fans and observers on social media. Many posited that the show had been doomed by low ticket sales, which one music writer attributed to a lack of willingness from fans to pay modern arena prices to see a band a decade removed from its heyday. The fan posted a map of available tickets for the band’s November show in Baltimore showing that most of the arena had so far gone unsold.

The now-canceled show had joined still-on gigs by Kings of Leon, Eric Clapton and Chicago as among the relatively few upcoming rock shows scheduled for Acrisure Arena, whose upcoming lineup is heavy on shows by Latin American performers such as Peso Pluma and throwback pop acts like Janet Jackson and Jennifer Lopez.

The Black Keys Cancel Upcoming North American Leg of International Players Tour

  • By Daniel Kreps

Daniel Kreps

The Black Keys have canceled the upcoming North American leg of their International Players Tour , with dates for the jaunt abruptly erased without explanation from the band’s social media pages and official website.

On Friday, fans noticed that the Ticketmaster listing for the International Players Tour’s North American arena shows — which was set to begin September 17 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and run through November 12 in Detroit — listed all of the shows as canceled.

Venues’ individual listings for the concerts — including a September 18 gig at Austin’s Moody Center and an October 30 show at New York’s Madison Square Garden — also updated the pages to acknowledge that the shows had been canceled and that fans would automatically receive refunds. “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel this event,” the Moody Center’s listing noted.

The duo of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, who just completed a European leg in support of their new album Ohio Players , have not issued a statement regarding the cancelations. A rep for the band did not respond to Rolling Stone ’s request for comment at press time.

The cancellation does not appear to be health-related, as the Black Keys just performed on the season finale of The Voice earlier this week.

s club reunion tour cancelled

Akron, Ohio, rock duo The Black Keys has canceled its entire upcoming North American tour, including a Nov. 12 date at Little Caesars Arena. No reason was given for the cancellation.

Ticket holders will receive refunds issued to the original method of payment within 14-21 days, according to a post on the event's Ticketmaster page .

The band's 31-date fall tour was to kick off Sept. 17 in Tulsa and make a stop at Grand Rapids' Van Andel Arena on Oct. 13 before wrapping at LCA.

The tour was in support of the band's 12th album, "Ohio Players," which was released in April and debuted at No. 26 on Billboard's Top 200 albums chart.

The Black Keys' last area concert was at Pine Knob in September 2022.

Girls Aloud fans give same response to Cheryl snap as band jump on plane ahead of first show of reunion tour

Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, Nadina Coyle and Nicola Roberts' much-anticipated tour will kick off on Friday (May 17) in Dublin

Cheryl shares snap of Girls Aloud as they prepare for night one of their huge UK and Ireland tour

Girls Aloud fans were quick to make the same quip as the group officially jetted off for the first show of their huge reunion tour. The much-anticipated tour, the Girls Aloud Show, will kick off on Friday night (May 17) in Dublin.

Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts announced back in November that they would be reuniting for a UK and Ireland tour in memory of their late bandmate Sarah Harding.

The band announced the tour with a video which saw Nadine Coyle, Cheryl, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh reunite at a drive-in cinema where clips of the band performing their hit tracks including Sound Of The Underground, Love Machine, Call The Shots and Biology were played.

They confirmed their tour will be a "celebration of Sarah, our music and our incredible fans" and in recent weeks have been hard at work getting the show ready to hit the road as they prepare to perform for thousands of fans up and down the country.

Following the end of rehearsals, a string of images were posted featuring the four bandmates and their dancers with the caption reading: "Rehearsals? Done. Choreography? Ready. Outfits? Fitted. Girls? Aloud. #TheGirlsAloudTour begins tomorrow! We’ve been working so hard to make this show special for all of you. It’s been over 10 years since our last tour and we can’t wait to get back on stage with you."

And on Thursday night (May 16), Cheryl revealed the girls were on their way to Dublin as they posed for a group selfie on the plane. "Ready for take off," she captioned the post to her 3.4 million followers.

But it didn't take long for fans to make the same joke at the expense of a young Nadine who was caught lying about her age on Iris Popstars. In 2001, Nadine lied about her age to compete on the TV talent show - she was 16 but the minimum age requirement to take part was 18.

In a famous clip, she accidentally let her real date of birth slip and said: “Date of birth is the fifteenth of the sixth '85, making me a Gemini." And it's fair to say that all these years later, fans haven't forgotten it.

@mikie_ol said: " I hope Nadine has her passport." @ hunsnet commented: " Hope youve all got your passports girlies." @ cheryldaily wrote: "Cheryl remembered her password and Nadine remember her passport! HALLELUJAH." @adamgabbett wrote: "At least @nadinecoyle remembered her passport." @seanbuschman added: "Nadine found her passport."

Others, however, were thrilled that the first show of the tour was just a matter of hours away with rumours about the set list already circulating. But tumours suggest the group will end their tour setlist with I’ll Stand By You, in tribute to Sarah, who died aged 39 in September 2021 from breast cancer.

Tottenham’s Global Tour: Harry Kane Reunion

s club reunion tour cancelled

Tottenham’s Thrilling Summer: A Pre-Season of Reunions and New Horizons

Harry kane faces former club in exciting summer schedule.

Tottenham Hotspur are setting the stage for an electrifying summer with a schedule that promises both nostalgia and fresh challenges. The highlight of their pre-season involves a much-anticipated match against Bayern Munich, marking the second reunion with former Spurs star, Harry Kane. Scheduled for August 3 in Seoul, this match will see Tottenham clash with the German powerhouse in a display of football prowess that fans worldwide are eager to witness.

Continental Tours: Spurs’ Summer Travels

Beyond their rendezvous in Seoul, Tottenham’s pre-season ventures span continents. Following their Korean match, they will return to familiar grounds to host Bayern at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on August 10. This series of matches underscores a rigorous preparation strategy, sharpening their tactics against some of Europe’s elite.

But the Spurs’ Asian tour isn’t confined to South Korea. The team is also slated to visit Japan for a J League World Challenge match against Vissel Kobe. Adding to their global footprint, the squad will head down under to Melbourne this week, where they’ll face Newcastle in a post-season friendly. These matches are not just trials of strength but are a testament to Tottenham’s commitment to engaging with their international fanbase.

A Special Homecoming for Captain Son

This year’s visit to South Korea holds particular significance as it marks the first tour since Heung-min Son was named Tottenham’s captain. The excitement is palpable, both for Son and the fans, as expressed by Tottenham executive director Donna-Maria Cullen: “We are delighted to once again be visiting South Korea as part of our pre-season tour of Asia ahead of the 2024-25 season. It is fantastic to have the opportunity to engage with our huge fanbase in the country. I know Sonny in particular can’t wait to play again in front of his home fans, and it will be exciting for him to return while representing us as club captain.”

Engaging the Spurs Community Globally

The strategic choice of destinations—South Korea, Japan, and Australia—reflects Tottenham’s broader ambition to strengthen their global connections. Each match serves as a bridge between the club and its international supporters, fostering a deeper sense of community and shared passion for the sport. These tours are not just about testing physical limits but also about reinforcing the Spurs’ presence on the world stage, promising exciting football and memorable moments for fans everywhere.
