What people love about french riviera solo tours.

European horizon tour with Rhi was great. The tour took us to places I wanted to go and the information given by our tour guide was well presented. Would recommend this trip.
The hotel was in a trendy location and the hotel/airport transfers went well. It would have been nice to have spent more time in Eze and Menton. Also, the tours should have been split up so that the English speaking people were in one group and the French speaking people were in another group instead of combining them so that everything had to be said in both languages. For the most part though a nice vacation.
Simon was a great partner over many months to help us customize our tour. Everything went as planned and on time. The hotels that were selected and the local tour companies that were used for the excursions were all first-rate. We would use this agency again.

6 of the best solo cruise lines for single passengers

C ruises are a well-trodden holiday option, offering the opportunity to explore various parts of the world while enjoying the comfort on a hotel on the seas.

And though a cruise with a significant other or the rest of the family is a perennially popular choice, fewer people think of taking the solo option and booking a cruise alone.

But these holidays can be just as rewarding and enjoyable, giving you as much flexibility as you want along with opportunities to meet like-minded travellers and see some of the world’s finest tourist destinations .

Daily activities will keep you entertained while onboard, while organised excursions or solo trips let you see a magnificent range of towns and cities at your leisure. Solo-specific events mean that meeting other travellers is as easy as sitting down to dinner, while you’ll have a comfortable solo cabin to come back to at the end of each day.

If you’ve got the itch to book, we’ve rounded up a selection of the best cruise liners for single passengers below.

Riviera Travel

Riviera Travel operates river cruises around the world, with destinations as far as Egypt and Vietnam . Nevertheless, the focus is on European river cruises , with plenty of packages to the Rhine, Rhone, Seine, Douro and Danube on offer. Packages include return flights, airport transfers and all meals onboard, with an extensive range of excursions and activities including guided tours and on-board folk music shows.

  • The best winter cruise holidays to book

European river cruises are the only option that Riviera offers for solo travellers, with seven routes that cover the continent’s main rivers. Prices include all the same features as a standard booking – such as excursions, onboard meals and Wi-Fi – but with spacious single occupancy cabins and welcome dinners to help you meet people. Solo bookings also include the ‘superior’ drinks package, which gives guests an extensive selection of alcoholic drinks available both at lunch and between 6pm and midnight. The Rhine and Moselle package is their most affordable, starting in Cologne and taking you to beautiful towns like Koblenz and Rudesheim.

Virgin Voyages

Virgin Voyages offers adult-only cruises packed with a huge range of activities, from morning yoga classes to evening cabaret. There are plenty of solo cabins – their inaugural ship, Scarlet Lady, has 46 – and itineraries include solo meet-ups, activities and excursions with plenty of opportunities to meet other single travellers.

Packages include food, drink and activities as standard. With only four ships in the fleet, your choice of destination is slightly more limited, though you can still visit picturesque locations in Europe, the Caribbean , parts of Southern Asia and Australia. The Southeastern Caribbean Isles package will take you on a roundtrip from Puerto Rico, stopping in Guadeloupe, Barbados, St Lucia and Antigua.

Tauck claims to have specialised in solo travel for over 90 years, and today this translates to special solo savings and no single supplement on European river cruises. Travellers looking to see the continent ‘solo style’ can benefit from savings of up to £750, and will enjoy more stylish, contemporary ships with fewer guests for an overall more luxurious experience. Trips cover Europe’s main waterways, and prices include all food, drink, activities and shore tours. Choose the Yuletide package between Brussels and Amsterdam for a festive experience at some of the best Christmas markets – and prettiest waterways – on the continent.

Ambassador Cruise Line

Ambassador is a new cruise line where trips begin in cities around the UK , including Liverpool , Belfast, Dundee and Bristol. Both Ambience and Ambition have 89 dedicated cabins set aside for solo travellers, available “at a special single supplement against the equivalent twin fare based on selected single cabin categories”. The operator journeys to a vast range of destinations considering there are only two ships in its fleet, with voyages going as far as Singapore , Brazil and New Zealand.

Ambassador’s cruises contain an extensive programme of activities for solo passengers, including a ‘Welcome Get Together’ and guided tours together with other solo travellers. Other onboard entertainment ranges from West End-style shows to comedy nights, with plenty of opportunities to meet others. If cruising during winter, visit Norway to see wondrous fjords and (possibly) the aurora borealis, with the Land of the Northern Lights package.

Oceania has made considerable investment in providing options for solo travellers, with its newest ship, Vista, containing six 270-square-foot solo cabins that include balconies, premium lounge access and a welcome bottle of champagne. It has fitted its older ships with 14 ‘Solo Staterooms’, all of which offer magnificent sea views.

Oceania voyages make it easy to meet like-minded travellers with solo meet-and-greet events, large mixed dining tables, mixed shore excursions and single-traveller activities such as art classes. Destinations range from the Mediterranean and Scandinavia to South Africa and the tropics, meaning solo travellers have opportunities to see a large portion of the world alone. Book the 14-day  Miami to Tenerife cruise  to experience Mediterranean charm and Caribbean beauty in late March.

Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean say that they do not “have specific pricing for single occupancy” cabins, but that they do offer single cabins on some of their ships, including Brilliance of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas, Quantum of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas and Spectrum of the Seas. These cruises “can be reserved by someone cruising alone without the usual single supplement fee”, and they cover an extensive range of destinations, from Europe to the Caribbean and Singapore to Australia.

Passengers can reserve inside studio staterooms, virtual balcony staterooms and super studio ocean view stateroom with balconies, giving them between 101 and 199 square feet of space. Everything else will be the same as usual, meaning you can enjoy the same benefits as every other guests without paying a premium. If departing from the UK, the only tours available take you around Europe; the most extensive is the Mediterranean Cities package, covering Seville, Sardinia, Rome , Lisbon and more.

Riviera Travel UK waives single supplements for 2024 yacht cruises

CruiseMapper logo

Riviera Travel UK/fleet is catering to solo travelers by offering a 10% discount on cabins without single supplements across 5 charter yacht voyages in 2024.

The promotion aligns with the growing trend of solo travel, where more individuals seek independence and adventure without the extra cost typically associated with traveling alone.

These special single cruise offers are available on select departures from July to October, marking the first time Riviera has waived the single supplement on their 8 to 10-day itineraries. Notable journeys include the " Split , Dubrovnik & the Splendours of Dalmatia" cruise (Adriatic Sun ship) starting July 9th, and the " Venice , Split & Treasures of the North Cruise" (Stella Maris ship) departing October 12th.

Will Sarson, Riviera Travel’s head of product for cruising and long haul, stated that by removing the single supplement on selected dates for some of their most sought-after 2024 itineraries, they are making it easier for more travelers to explore the stunning ports of call available on these voyages.

This development caters to the increasing demand for solo travel options and encourages more individuals to enjoy travel experiences without financial barriers.

Riviera Travel is expanding its solo offering with no single supplements on selected 2024 yacht sailings.

The operator is waiving the single supplement on 10% of cabins across five yacht departures this year on selected sailings between July and October.

It will mark the first time Riviera Travel has removed the single supplement on the following itineraries: Split, Dubrovnik & the Splendours of Dalmatia, departing July 9 and costing from £2,049; Dubrovnik, Split & Jewels of the Dalmatian Coast, departing July 25 and priced from £1,999; Split, Rab & Undiscovered Islands of the North, departing September 29 and costing from £2,099; Split, Zadar & Secrets of the North, departing October 3 and priced from £1,949; and Venice, Split & Treasures of the North, departing October 12 and costing from £2,649.

Will Sarson, head of product cruising and long-haul, said: “Our yacht cruises take guests on a journey through stunning destinations in the intimate, luxurious atmosphere that only small ships can provide.

“By removing the single supplement on selected dates on some of our most popular 2024 itineraries, we are ensuring more people can experience the wonderful ports of call on offer.”

  • Explore Normandy's capital, Rouen, where you'll visit the Place du Vieux-Marché, and coastal Honfleur with its picturesque old harbour
  • Visit the remarkable Bayeux Tapestry which tells the story of the 1066 Norman invasion in Britain before exploring Arromanches and the 'longest day' museum
  • Drive to Giverny to visit Monet's house and garden and explore Vernon's quaint buildings

From romantic Paris, we slip our moorings and commence our wonderfully scenic cruise along the beautiful and majestic Seine into the heart of one of France's most historic and picturesque regions, Normandy. With time to enjoy the historic little town of Les Andelys en route, we continue our journey along the Seine’s sweeping meanders, before exploring the delights of Rouen, one of Europe’s finest medieval cities with its stunning cathedral and tangle of atmospheric winding streets.

Passing the legendary Jumiège Abbey, we moor in the pretty village of Caudebec with time after dinner for an evening stroll in this most typical of French villages. Then to Bayeux, spared significant war damage, it retains its wealth of splendid buildings as well as the legendary and stunning tapestry for which it is so famed. We also see some of the many thought-provoking monuments and places along the Normandy coast and reflect on the remarkable story of the D-Day landings on our visit to Gold Beach and the remnants of Mulberry Harbour. Our cruise would not be complete without a visit to charming Honfleur - its near perfect waterfront of tall pastel-coloured  18th century houses, traditional shops and maze of streets providing the inspiration for the Impressionist painter Claude Monet to paint here many times.

Countless sleepy villages silently drift by as we arrive in delightful Vernon, from where we take the short drive to Giverny visiting Claude Monet’s home and one of the world’s most famous and most painted gardens. Enjoy the quintessentially half-timbered streets of Vernon before we continue on to our final destination, one of the world’s most iconic and romantic cities, Paris. From the Arc de Triomphe to the Sacré-Coeur to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre to the Pompidou Centre, the smart shopping of the Galeries Lafayette to bohemian Montmartre, the list is endless and the variety arguably unmatchable; this breathtaking city never fails to inspire no matter how many times you get the chance to visit.

Embark in Paris

Take the Eurostar from London St Pancras International to Paris or fly to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. On arrival, transfer by coach to your cruise ship moored on the River Seine in the heart of the city. The friendly crew will welcome you on board, helping you settle into your spacious and exquisitely furnished accommodation – you’ll immediately feel at home.

This evening you enjoy your first sumptuous dinner, served in the ship’s restaurant.

Route map

Les Andelys

During the night our ship slips her mooring and, as you enjoy breakfast, the landscape passes by serenely and you quickly get used to this luxurious sightseeing experience.

Rounding a sweeping bend so typical of the Seine, we reach the town of Mantes-la-Jolie with its imposing church – so large and architecturally impressive it could be a cathedral – while straight ahead is a medieval stone bridge. The central section of the bridge was destroyed during the Second World War and never repaired – it’s the first of many poignant reminders that this region of France has been a battleground for centuries.

Beyond Mantes we encounter another typical feature of the Seine as it flows seaward – picturesque chalk cliffs, almost resembling a giant’s teeth. Beautiful villages like La Roche Guyon slide by, surrounded by bocage countryside of lush pastures and high hedgerows, countless cider orchards, half-timbered barns and ancient wooden farmhouses. We’re truly in the heart of one of France’s historic and stunningly attractive dukedoms – Normandy.

While you’re enjoying your first delicious lunch, the captain has skilfully berthed at Les Andelys, a small town dominated by one of the most spectacular sights along the entire valley – Château Gaillard.

This afternoon we discover the story behind this remarkable castle. The remarkable Château Gaillard guards the apex of the river bend and was built by Richard the Lionheart in the 12th-century to defend Rouen from the French. Besieged many times during the turbulent history of northern France, Château Gaillard is now one of the most dramatic ruins in the region.

Included experience:

Visit to Les Andelys and Château Gaillard.

Les Andelys

We awake in Rouen, Normandy’s capital, one of Europe’s finest medieval cities and scene of many momentous events over the centuries. Pride of place on our guided tour of the city belongs to its stunning Gothic cathedral, which was immortalised by the great Impressionist Claude Monet in a series of 28 paintings showing the facade at varying times of day and in different weather conditions. Briefly becoming the world’s tallest building when the soaring spire was added in the 19th century, the cathedral is also notable for the recumbent statue reputedly containing the heart of Richard the Lionheart.

Rouen’s beautifully tangled alleyways are a revelation, lined with antique shops, tasteful boutiques and, of course, countless restaurants serving exceptional local cuisine emphasising the country’s outstanding gastronomic heritage. The Place du Vieux-Marché is one of the city’s most poignant spots; a large cross mark the point where the ‘Maid of Orléans’ Joan of Arc was burned at the stake for her beliefs.

Cruise towards Caudebec-en-Caux

During another superb lunch we cast off to navigate through yet more twists and turns, chalk cliffs and a landscape of forest-covered hills that are designated as areas of outstanding natural beauty and sanctuaries for diverse wildlife, including deer and wild boar. Another highlight of the valley soon greets us – the ethereal ruins of Jumièges Abbey. Founded in the 7th century, it was consecrated in the presence of William the Conqueror and was an important political and religious centre until it was sacked in the 16th century.

Should you wish, why not arrange to visit the wheelhouse, the Captain is always delighted to explain to those interested how the highly sophisticated navigation and safety systems operate.

In the late afternoon we moor in the pretty town of Caudebec-en-Caux, so why not take a stroll to explore this lovely spot, with its typical market square, richly decorated church and the Maison des Templiers, one of the oldest houses in Normandy.

After dinner, enjoy the laid-back tones of a guitarist singing traditional French melodies.

Guided tour of Rouen, visit to Caudebec-en-Caux & French guitarist performance.

Rouen's Gothic Cathedral - Rouen, France

Bayeux & Arromanches

After breakfast you’ll be ready for a full-day tour exploring two of the most important aspects of European history – the Bayeux Tapestry and the D-Day landings. (Please note lunch is not provided today.)

Bayeux itself is a delightful town with a historic core that escaped the ravages of war, so you can marvel at its many splendid buildings including the grand Gothic cathedral. But, of course, Bayeux is most famous as the home of the tapestry telling the story of the Norman invasion of Britain in 1066 in glorious detail. Among its 75 scenes are the coronation of Harold following the death of Edward the Confessor and his subsequent demise at the Battle of Hastings, which led to William of Normandy invading England and becoming king.

The 230-foot-long tapestry is made up of nine panels of extremely delicate embroidery – gazing at its wonderful depictions of the battle and the period’s architecture, weapons and everyday life, you’ll appreciate why the Bayeux Tapestry is arguably the finest relic of the Middle Ages.

Arromanches

This afternoon we drive to Arromanches, where you will have free time for lunch. Then enjoy a visit to a museum dedicated to the ‘longest day’ where you can still see remnants of the two Mulberry harbours constructed for the landing craft.

Leaving Arromanches, we continue to the British Normandy Memorial – unveiled in 2021, the 77th anniversary of the D-Day landings. From here you have best point of view to Gold Beach, one of the five main landing sites on D-Day, when Allied forces surged into Normandy to begin the liberation of occupied Europe. Casting your eyes across the sand to the water’s edge, it’s sobering to consider that on 6 June 1944 around 25,000 British troops came ashore on this one beach with 400 killed by the defenders.

We will then drive back to the ship moored in Caudebec. After a day recalling such momentous events and the stories surrounding them, thoughts turn again to the culinary delights awaiting you in the refined comfort of the ship’s restaurant.

Visit to the Bayeux Tapestry & the D-Day Normandy Beaches.

The Bayeux Tapestry - Normandy, France

Honfleur is often regarded as the most picturesque spot on the northern French coast, and after breakfast we make the short journey to this delightful town and enjoy a guided tour. Its old harbour, sheltering both fishing boats and luxurious pleasure craft, is beautifully preserved and surrounded by a perfect waterfront of pastel-coloured 16th- to 18th-century houses, many converted to seafood restaurants.

Watch the talented artists capturing the captivating views along the waterfront, while the intricate maze of streets behind is also well worth discovering. The eaves of the tall half-timbered buildings almost touch, and on the streets below is an abundance of traditional shops selling antiques, books and fine foods. Honfleur’s most famous son is Eugene Boudin, one of the forerunners of Impressionism and a friend of Claude Monet, who also painted the harbour many times.

Cruise towards Vernon

After returning to the ship for lunch, we slip our mooring and begin our passage back upstream, retracing the river’s winding course, its huge variety of wildlife, enchanting scenery and forests, all reflected in differing colours in the sparkling waters.

Villages slip by, birds glide on thermals rising from the surrounding cliffs, it’s an ideal opportunity to join new friends for a chat. Squeeze in a spot of reading on the Sun Deck or simply recline, letting the gentle breezes lull you into a relaxing doze. By this stage of your cruise, you’ll be totally unwound, and modern life will seem very distant.

Guided tour of Honfleur.

Honfleur, France

Giverny & Vernon

Claude Monet's house & garden in Giverny

One of the great delights of river cruising is the magical sensation of waking up in a different place from where you were the night before. This morning the ship has moored in delightful Vernon, and we take the short drive to Giverny to visit Monet’s Garden and house.

The artist himself called his garden his ‘most beautiful masterpiece’, and it’s certainly one of the world’s most photographed and painted, ideally viewed in the delicate morning light. In the Japanese-inspired water garden, shaded by great weeping willows and surrounded by bamboo, rhododendrons and azaleas, is the lily pond where he painted his extraordinary Les Nymphéas (Water Lilies) series. There’s ample time to wander here, absorbing the tranquil atmosphere while marvelling at the light bouncing off foliage of every hue and the magical reflections dancing off the water.

After another leisurely lunch on board, you can explore Vernon’s quaint buildings before embarking on our cruise to Paris.  This evening is the Chef's Dinner, featuring some of their signature dishes - a truly memorable experience. As the sun sets on the shimmering Seine and the Norman countryside recedes into dusk, it’s a perfect time to reflect on your few days cruising among the creamy chalk cliffs and charming villages of this splendid river.

Visits to Claude Monet’s house and garden & Vernon.

House on the Seine - Vernon, France

We have arrived in Paris and this morning we take a sightseeing tour of this amazing capital, one of the world’s most iconic cities. The Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Élysées, Sacré-Coeur – you’ll see all these and much more.

The grand Place de la Concorde, the largest square in the city, shows off 18th-century French architecture at its best, and just over the Seine on the Left Bank you’ll find the Musée d’Orsay, home of the world’s finest Impressionist art collection. Then there’s the eccentrically modern and yet stylish Pompidou Centre, famous not only for its exhibits but also for street entertainment. Notre-Dame Cathedral and the delicate spire of the sublime Saint-Chapelle dominate the Île de la Cité, while the exquisite Tuileries Gardens are perfect for a stroll.

After lunch on board, you could visit fine shops such as the Galeries Lafayette or those in the smart arcaded Rue de Rivoli, or perhaps wander around the café-lined streets of bohemian Montmartre. Paris is everything you imagine it to be – romantic, inspiring, vibrant – even outrageous – but best of all Paris is unique, and a fitting finale to a wonderful cruise.

After dinner tonight, there's the chance to enjoy more famous French melodies and songs performed by a professional accordionist.

Guided tour of Paris & accordionist performance.

How does single trip travel insurance work?

Who needs single trip travel insurance.

Purchasing single trip travel insurance

Single trip travel insurance frequently asked questions, what is single trip travel insurance.

  • Single trip travel insurance covers unexpected costs incurred during a trip.
  • Compared to annual travel insurance, single trip insurance is more flexible and comprehensive.
  • Premiums are based on trip costs, usually between 4% to 8%, but CFAR coverage may increase costs.

No matter the asset, protecting your investments via insurance is a proven means of providing coverage against financial loss. On par with homeowners, automobile, and life insurance, travel insurance is a proactive means of preparing for the uncertainties of travel, from flight delays and cancellations to lost luggage and medical emergencies.

The best travel insurance plan meets your specific needs. Single trip insurance protects one specific trip, offering the flexibility to tailor your insurance to your travel plans. If you're taking one large trip, perhaps your dream vacation, single trip insurance can protect your investment and provide peace of mind before, during, and after takeoff.

Single trip travel insurance covers unexpected additional expenses while on a trip. Often used interchangeably with traditional travel insurance, single trip travel insurance is the most popular type of insurance policy purchased by travelers in the US. Among its many benefits, this basic travel coverage is flexible, cost-effective, and comprehensive.

Compared with annual travel insurance coverage (which covers multiple excursions to and from home within a specified period and comes with a cap), traditional policies cover a range of unforeseen events and emergencies leading up to (and for the duration of) your trip. Single trip travel insurance cost is typically a percentage of your trip costs, anywhere from 4% to 8% of your trip's total cost

Coverage options in single trip policies

Travel insurance covers unexpected financial losses while traveling. This can include inconveniences that happen throughout a trip, like lost baggage, missed connections, and travel delays. For example, travel insurance can cover meals purchased at the airport after your flight has been delayed for a certain amount of time.

However, travel insurance is especially helpful when more serious incidents occur. For example, travel insurance will cover non-refundable deposits in the case of an unexpected trip cancellation, as long as your trip was canceled for a covered reason.

Additionally, medical emergency insurance is particularly helpful when traveling abroad, where US-based health insurance usually can't help you. Depending on your policy, travel insurance can cover hospital room and board, prescription medicine, and even surgeries. It may also pay for medical evacuations and repatriations.

Additional coverage options

Most insurance providers will provide additional coverage options if you're looking for something more specific. For example, if you're traveling to a destination for extreme sports like skydiving, you can add adventure sports coverage to your policy.

You can also add Cancel For Any Reason to your policy, if you think you may cancel your trip for an uncovered reason, like fear of flying. However, you will need to be mindful of when you purchase travel insurance, CFAR is only available if you purchase travel insurance within two to three weeks of placing a deposit on your trip. You can find our guide to the best cancel for any reason travel insurance here.

Traditional travel plans are typically designed for the leisure traveler. In other words, vacationers who want to protect against unexpected, sometimes catastrophic financial losses related to an upcoming vacation pay a small fee relative to trip costs.

"The typical travel insurance buyer is someone who can't afford to lose non-refundable trip deposits such as for a cruise or vacation rental if forced to cancel [a vacation] for a covered reason," says Carol Mueller , vice president of Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection . "It is also for the vacationer concerned about medical emergencies or medical evacuations [while away from home] that could cost thousands of dollars and [are] not covered by a health insurance plan."

However, if you have multiple trips coming up within a 365-day, annual travel insurance may be worth a look. While a single trip policy will end when you return home, annual travel insurance will cover any trips you take over a year.

Choosing the right single trip policy

Since it can be overwhelming to sift through the myriad options available, Jones offers some tips to help travelers make the right decision when choosing travel insurance coverage:

Think about your needs: Consider the kind of trip you are taking and the activities you're planning. If you're traveling for a sports trip, you may want extra protection for your sports equipment. But it's often simpler. For example, you'll need travel medical insurance for emergencies as your standard health insurance probably won't cover you abroad.

Compare policies: Compare policies from multiple providers to find one meeting your needs and budget. Look for policies with comprehensive coverage for unforeseen events such as medical emergencies and trip cancellations. You can see which is more affordable when you have similar plans side-by-side. Just don't forget to account for any differences to get the most competitive pricing.

Read the fine print: Make sure you understand any exclusions or limitations before purchasing a policy. Some coverages, like cancel for any reason travel insurance, may have a time limit, but the coverage should be straightforward. Other cancellation coverage will most likely have important exclusions you should know.

Consider preexisting conditions: If any travelers in your party have preexisting medical conditions, ensure the policy you plan to purchase covers them. You may have to pay extra, but it will cost you a lot less than trying to find essential medications while you're on the road, especially if you're traveling internationally.

Look for customer reviews: Check customer reviews to see how other travelers have fared with the policy and provider. You can use sites like Trustpilot, ConsumerAffairs, and the BBB.

Purchase early: It's important to secure coverage at the same time you book your trip, as some coverage may only be available within a specific timeframe. Like your plane tickets and other travel arrangements, you may qualify for lower rates or discounts if you buy early.

Finally, planning to swipe a family vacation off your bucket list? Investing in travel insurance is the smart and savvy way to ensure you eventually reach your destination (financially) unscathed, despite any minor derailments.

"You can't predict what can go wrong before you leave for, or even [what transpires] during your vacation. That's why it makes sense to consider purchasing a comprehensive, traditional plans protect you against financial losses you never thought would happen," says Mueller.

While you can insure any trip, single trip travel insurance is best for long, expensive, or international trips. It's best to buy insurance shortly after booking your trip, ideally within two weeks of placing the deposit on your trip.

Hundreds of plans offer similar coverages and benefit limits. Working with a certified insurance professional is the easiest way to cut through the hundreds of similar plans, find a quite, and purchase the plan best suited to your trip based on travel mode, trip cost, family presence, and more.

After all, even the best-laid plans (and most detail-oriented itineraries) are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. While myriad travel-related details lie within your control, like when you go and where you stay, a few unpredictable variables will always remain. Proper insurance coverage might be the solution to anticipating all of them and ensuring a smooth journey one step at a time.

While single trip insurance is often more valuable for trips that are longer and international, insurance for domestic trips can be beneficial if they involve non-refundable expenses.

Yes, single trip policies can include multiple destinations within one trip, as long as all destinations are included in the policy.

You should purchase single trip insurance soon after booking your trip to qualify for benefits like CFAR policies and pre-existing condition waivers . Additionally, if your trip gets canceled before you can purchase travel insurance, you may not get your money back.

Most single trip insurance policies cover cancellations due to illness without the need for CFAR insurance, but it's important to check the specific terms of your policy.

While policy extensions are possible, rules depend on your insurer. Additionally, there may be a limit on how long you can extend your policy.
