Age 83. Had heart stent 8 years ago. Want travel insurance for all but heart problems. (Have traveled frequently in last 8 years- no problems). Where to find?

If you had a heart stent before, this is generally considered a pre-existing heart condition. If you would like to get a travel insurance, you may compare your options from our list of travel insurance for pre-existing heart conditions .

The insurers will typically assess your condition by phone or online questionnaire before they could provide a quote. Please feel free to click the name of the insurer and press the “Get quote” button if available request a quote.

I am 84 years of age and am quite fit and have no ongoing health problems however when I ask for a travel insurance quote and state my age I am told that they don’t cover older people. When no dates are supplied, the 'from rate' shown is the lowest commonly available rate, over the next 90 day period, from the current date. Please note; rates used may be discounted from multi-night stays.

When dates are supplied, the 'from rate' shown is the total value, divided by the number of nights.

The equivalent of one night’s tariff is required as a deposit and will be charged to the card provided at the time of booking.

If you are a current RACV Member or member with an affiliated Auto Club in Australia, you are entitled to book one room per night, per membership on the discounted Auto Club member rate. Proof of valid membership must be presented at check-in and member must stay in the room for the member rate to apply. Standard room rates will apply for any additional rooms booked.
