It is highly recommended you visit Batam during October to early December. The air is cool and dry and there are fewer tourists (compared to the peak season of late December to early January). March to April after the school holidays is also a great time to visit as there are many festivals in and around Batam. 

Batam is a safe place. There can be petty crimes here and there such as pick pocketing, so keep a close eye on your belongings.

It depends on how much time you have. The recommended minimum duration is 3 days while you can extend your visit to a week to fully enjoy yourself. Ferries from Singapore to Batam are mainly run by 4 different companies: Sindo Ferry, Majestic Ferry, Batam Fast and Horizon Ferry. 

You can refer to their respective websites for their schedules and the latest information. We recommend Sindo Ferry but the departures are typically about 1 hour apart.

Most ferries from Harbourfront Ferry Terminal will arrive at Batam Centre Ferry Terminal. For our packages, it will mainly be from Harbourfront Ferry Terminal to Batam Center Ferry Terminal and return from Batam Center Ferry Terminal to Harbourfront Centre.
