Little Caesars Commits to Downtown Detroit with New HQ

Twenty-five years after moving its headquarters from the suburbs to Detroit’s Fox Office Center, Little Caesars is building a brand-new 205,000-square-foot Global Resource Center, expanding its world headquarters campus in Detroit to more than twice its current size.

The new Little Caesars Global Resource Center, to be built on Woodward Avenue at Columbia Street, is Detroit’s first newly constructed corporate headquarters building in more than a decade and only the seventh since 1950. To support the diverse needs of its employees, the Ilitch organization will also completely renovate the 186,000-square-foot Little Caesars Fox Office Center into a modern, flexible, open, and collaborative workspace.

When Mike and Marian Ilitch decided to relocate Little Caesars from the Detroit suburb of Farmington Hills to Detroit 25 years ago, it was a bold move. At the time, companies were moving out of Detroit, not moving in. The Ilitches restored the Fox Theatre as one of the most majestic theaters in the world and refurbished the Fox Office Center for their companies.

“Mike and Marian Ilitch, the founders and owners of Little Caesars Pizza, have always worked to provide the very best for our employees, our customers, our city, and our state,” says Christopher Ilitch, president and CEO of Ilitch Holdings. “This is another significant investment in our people, our company and our community.” 

Since moving to the Fox Office Center in 1989, Little Caesars has experienced incredible growth and now needs expanded, new workspace that meets the evolving needs of employees and the business. Little Caesars is the largest carryout-only pizza chain in the world with locations in all 50 states and 17 international markets. It recently opened franchises in Australia and Panama with additional expansion taking place worldwide. As an exceptionally high-growth company with more than 55 years of success in the nearly $135 billion pizza industry, Little Caesars attracts and continues to look for highly capable franchisee candidates for new market opportunities domestically and throughout the world.

The new Little Caesars Global Resource Center will connect to the Fox Office Center by a pedestrian bridge. It will feature abundant windows to allow plenty of natural light into the building from Woodward Avenue and Columbia Street. Construction will begin in the spring of 2015 and is expected to be complete by the end of calendar 2016.

The design and workplace amenities will be determined by collaborative work groups of employees and architects over the next several months to ensure a flexible work environment that result in employee engagement, optimal communication, and heightened productivity. Anticipated features of the new building and renovated space include:

Ilitch companies employ nearly 7,300 people in the city of Detroit. The expanded Little Caesars world headquarters campus will allow for an additional 600 high-skill jobs to be brought to Detroit. With the construction of the new Global Resource Center, Little Caesars will provide world-class training, innovation, and meeting space for the thousands of franchisees, suppliers and employees that visit the Detroit headquarters campus from around the globe each year.

The Little Caesars Global Resource Center and headquarters campus will be part of the Columbia Street neighborhood in The District Detroit. The District Detroit will transform dozens of underutilized blocks between downtown and midtown Detroit into a world-class sports and entertainment district. It will connect existing and new development efforts in downtown and midtown Detroit along Woodward Avenue with five walkable, livable mixed-use District neighborhoods.

Union Joints to Open Restaurant at Detroit’s Little Caesars World Headquarters

Restaurant group Union Joints will open a new location that will anchor the new Little Caesars world headquarters campus expansion at the corner of Woodward Avenue and Columbia Street in downtown Detroit.

The 14,000-square-foot space will offer a second-floor patio that faces Comerica Park.

“We’ve always been drawn to buildings that provided something you just couldn’t replicate, and this location — with the Fox and Fillmore (theaters) as bookends, Comerica Park on its front porch near Little Caesars Arena, and Ford Field — is absolutely unimaginable,” says Curt Catallo, who owns Union Joints with his wife, Ann Stevenson, and managing partner, Erich Lines.

Stevenson is the restaurant group’s designer. She has been working with Tamas von Staden of von Staden Architects to develop the space, which will include an interior mezzanine and an alley-access pickup window.

“All aspects of The District Detroit are being carefully designed to create a dynamic mix of spaces and activities that provide options for everyone,” says Travis Arbogast, vice president of development at Olympia Development of Michigan. “Adding Union Joints to this very special location in the new Little Caesars headquarters campus expansion along Columbia Street will provide guests an experience that they cannot get anywhere else.”

Financing has been secured by Level One Bank, and construction plans have been submitted to the city of Detroit. The Union Joints team wants to open the location by the end of the year.

Construction progress is continuing along Columbia Street and at the Little Caesars world headquarters campus expansion. Employees have begun to occupy parts of the building. The headquarters broke ground in September 2016.

Union Joints is a Clarkston-based independent restaurant group that operates nine locations.

Little Caesars Global Resource Center and World Headquarters

L.S. Brinker served as construction manager on the Little Caesars Global Resource Center (LCGRC) and World Headquarters. The nine-story, 234,000 sq. ft., Little Caesars Global Resource Center at the corner of Woodward Avenue and Columbia Street in The District Detroit features a first-of-its-kind façade and is more than double the size of the current Little Caesars campus in Detroit to accommodate the company’s rapid global growth and hiring.

The Little Caesars Global Resource Center features an impressive formed-glass exterior. Each 14-foot tall, pizza slice shape of formed-glass pays homage to the company’s signature product. The distinct shape of glass, in combination with the height of each formed-glass unit, makes the building façade the first of its kind in the world.

Additional innovative features of the Little Caesars Global Resource Center include:

• Work café, pantries, collaborative workspaces and informal meeting rooms
• Two-story lobby connected to a new Welcome Center
• Glass-covered, open air terrace
• Screening room and 425-seat training room

MARION INDIANA......OUR LITTLE CAESARS HAS THE RUDEST EMPLOYEES THE PLACE WAS NASTY FILTHY AND I DONT SEE HOW THEY ARE ALLOWED TO STAY OPEN AND SERVE FOOD

I live in Miami and was at the Little Caesars on 13710-G S.W. 56TH ST. MIAMI, FL 33175 several days ago. It was a little busy at this store I ordered 2 pizzas and had to wait a few minutes for it. The women who took my order walked away and a guy came to the front and handed out an order he just finished preparing and took the payment for it. Preparing food and handling cash is not so sanitary he wasn't even wearing a glove. He went back to the counter were they prepare the pizzas and proceeded not to make pizzas, but start eating right at the food preparation table and in front of the customers. How sanitary would you that and I guess it's normal for them to do this as no one complained only my kids pointed this out to me. Once my pizzas were done, he brings them to the front and yells to the back in Spanish whose pizzas are these and the woman who took the order yells back for the chinos. Is this ethnic/racial profiling? Wouldn't of it been better for this women to come the front and specify which customer such as the customer presently at the counter. first off I am not Chinese and second I don't know you so pointing me out this was not professionally wrong and sound racially discriminating. Because i look Chinese you have the right to racially call me out as you see fit. I did yell out that I am not Chinese, but they didn't care the guy looked at me and handed me the pizzas. I file a complaint online to both the store and corporate office and I get a call from Luis the district Rep to apologize about this situation and said he will have a meeting about this situation. I said okay and then offers me some free food as a token of apology. Are you kidding me? Calling a person out ethnically and then offering them some food to resolve the matter. Is little Caesar pizza offering me some food going to make this matter forgotten. Do they think this is why I complained? How about my kids feeling humiliated at this store is that going to disappear? I don't know which is more humiliating being racially profiled or offered some food for the offense. It does seem corporate wants this issue to disappear and really do nothing to train or reprimand the person who created this issue by offering some food out only because Area Rep was persistent on giving me free food. I would of preferred some sort of indication that this issue was addressed live footage, a letter showing that this issue was addressed and will not be tolerated by any employee or a indication that training employees on handling of food and customer relations was seminar/course that all employees have to take. It really is amazing to think of how many times this may have happened and little is done, but just offering something fill a belly. It is really insulting to me how this was handled.

I have been eating Little Ceasars pizza for over 20 years. I use to work at a location near my home when I was in Highschool. The pizza use to be better and the Crazy Bread was definately better. I have been using they're rewards program and every time I get close enough to benefit from the program they discontinue it and come up with another one. Why should I continue to support this company?

We called in our order and when we got there we had to wait an additional 30 minutes. After some of us getting so frustrated we went inside to see what was going on. My boyfriend then asked the cashier what was going on with our food we called ahead of time and still have been waiting for 30 minutes. The cashier then looks at him and says "I don't really give a F***". I have been in customer service for a very long time and I couldn't believe someone would actually talk to a paying customer this way. I have read a lot of negative reviews for this location and how disrespectful the employees are. My boyfriend then started to argue with the employee and the employee started to take off his apron implying he was going to fight him. Things were not handled correctly at all by this crappy pizza joint. We then left with no food AND no refund. When trying to get a refund the next day, the manager said he could not refund the money and refused to give us the employees name involved with this altercation. So then today, the manager calls my boyfriends work to speak with his manager to tell them he came in trying to fight their employee. I cannot believe the disrespect we have received by you people it is completely unacceptable. You should really look into what kind of people you are hiring to represent your company because these guys are a bunch of fucking morons. Get it together...

absolutely horrible service!! Nothing was ready when I ordered cheese bread, not even a pizza. she said 6 to 8 min max. I said ok that's fine. I pull front to wait and it takes over twenty min formy order! ridiculous!!!!!!! the car that had been being me deceived their food first and they had three pizzas and bread!!!! store was in Coweta Oklahoma. never going to little ceasers again. ever

My girlfriend ordered two pizzas from drive thru today, she wanted one cheese but none were ready,so she took two pepperoni. When she got home I opened the boxes to find out a piece of pizza was missing from one. I contacted little caesars in Denver,NC I explained the situation,the mgr whom I spoke with said it was a lie and she cuts the pizzas. Said I could get another one but knew no piece was missing, I asked her if she was calling me a liar she then hung up on me. [email protected]

I am not a customer. I am a very unhappy employee at the Little Caesars store in Lafayette, IN. 5-21-13 I had to go to the ER for a back injury. 1 week later when I returned to work, I was greeted with a write up because a co-worker called in to say he couldn't fill in for me, and he did it before I was able to call in myself because I was trying to get to the hospital. Both my manager and owner of the store told me my 1st responsibility and obligation was to the store first, and myself second, and the write up still stands. I refused to legally acknowledge I did anything wrong by trying to help myself in an emergency situation, before I called in and was forced to find my own replacement, which should be the bosses job. Till now, I have never had a write up, I have been a model employee. Since I have been there 2.5 years, I have received employee of the month twice, have only had 2 raises even though I know that people hired in after me have gotten more, I volunteered my time to your "Love Kitchen", and I have been begging for the much needed new management job, and for whatever reason, though I am the best qualified in our store for the job, they wont consider me. This store reeks of racism, favortism, and bullying of some orange shirt employees by managers and owner. Some employees are scared to speak up. And this is only a little in a long list of problems in that store. (They use expired dough, dump oil and grease trap waste in dumpster, etc...)Like wool being pulled over your eyes. I hope for an investigation into this, but fear retaliation. Please know, I don't say any of this because I am mad, though I am. Mainly it's because things are getting out of hand there and if we keep our mouths shut as instructed then nothing will get any better. If you have any questions, please contact me. Elijah is having a sleep over. I am having such a good time with Elijah and his buddies. I went to Little Caesars to pick up 3 pizzas. The young girl only gave me 3 parmesan packets and when I said "Can I get like five more?" She said no, but I can give you 3. I replied, "I just bought three pizzas and you are going to really pull this crap?" She responded that her boss wont let her give more. I have VERY little patience for this kind of stuff. So, my response may have been a little harsh. What do you think? I said "Go get your god damn boss!" She said, oh he's not here. I then proceeded by saying, "This is fucking bullshit. You better give me more damned parmesan." At this point I think she realized I was a little perturbed. Oh well. Back to having a good time.

I received a gift card for Christmas which was purchased at the Russell Springs Ky Little Ceasars and it will not work I have been there twice each time it will not work I showed them the receipt and ask for a refund they refused to do anything at all about it I will never be back there and I don’t recommend anyone buy a gift card from them they refuse to honor them.

You people want our business, then tell your stores to answer the damn telephone. I called the Federal WA, WA location 253-517-9088 5 times and no one ever picked up. No its not a holiday… its 6:45 pm on January 4th, 2024.

I WANT A REFUND We ordered at the drive-thru window and we got home and the pizza box had writing on it that said “cousins, a-h” The pizza was missing slices and wasn’t even what we ordered. It was so unprofessional and disrespectful. We didn’t eat any of the things we ordered. We had ordered hot and ready, wings, crazy bread, and 2 ranch sauces. I told my kids not to eat anything. Who knows what they might have done to the food, I could not trust them. can’t believe they did this. the total was $22.18 I called the pizza place and they want a receipt which they didn’t even give me and said they cant refund me. WOW! never again buy from here. Little Caesars has to hire people who like to work and are responsible and must have better supervision. A bunch of immature kids work there.

Little Caesars Pizza HQ - Bad Customer Service

I ordered a Pepperoni & Cheese Stuff Crust pizza , this is what I always order. Well when I got home my Grand kids told me the pizza didnt have The pepperoni in the crust only cheese. when I return to the store the girl at the counter tells me they dont make stuff crust with pepperoni And cheese inside the crust I told her so why do they have a pic of one online and why did they charge me more than the regular plain cheese stuff crust pizza. she was being very rude trying to make me feel like i didnt know waht i was talking about so I asked to see a manager…when he came out he was a little easier to talk to then told me the pizza was gonna take 20 mins to bake…..im like omg i have kids waiting for pizza at home….the pizza came out in 10 mins when i got home the pizza wasnt baked properly kinda raw, what a waste of my time and money, inconvenience and horrible experience.

My wife was trying to call for 30-plus minutes and no answer for this big order. So myself and a couple of people we had for our party went to the store location on Hwy 160 in Pahrump NV in the Albertsons shopping center. When I went to order I asked if the phones were having problems and he stated they were not taking phone orders. Told me and the others that it would be a 1 hour-plus wait. And they don’t do custom orders. I stated that the orders were not custom and I have had them made here quite often. I said was trying to call the order ahead of time so that way the wait wouldn’t be that long so other things could be done in the meantime. I asked for 3 extramostbests pizzas with no sauce due to allergies. Then 2 pineapple and ham pizzas with no sauce because of the same allergies. And a clean cutter for the total of 5 pizzas. Then proceed to order 3 extramostbests pizzas with sauce and 2 pineapple and ham with sauce. Also was ordering chicken wings and crazy bread combos. He then gave an attitude saying he can’t do the clean-cutter pizzas. I stated that they have always done this before with no problem. And this was my first encounter with this person. He said he would not do this. So I asked him do you want my money and he said no. This happened 12/2/2023 at approximately 2:00pm. So is this how corporations allows good paying customers to be treated? So there was a couple of witnesses that saw what your employee attitude and demeanor was towards me a long-time good paying customer was treated and lost a big order today and possibly for along time if this is how corporate allows employees to treat customers.
