Difficulty [ ]

  • The endangered plants, especially Phat Beets , are close enough on the lawn to be easily eaten by the zombies if the player does not pay enough attention.
  • Due to mechanic that when the health total of zombies is from 40 to 60% left, the next wave will come, it can be hard to stall the zombies at the first wave.
  • If the player does not pay close enough attention to the Punk Zombies, they might kick the endangered plants off the lawn, resulting in the loss of the level.

Strategies [ ]

Strategy 1 [ ].

Leave room in the first column so it will allow the Punk Zombies to kick the endangered plants back there. Try not to kill those zombies until you feel your plants are safe enough. Try to kill zombies slowly before the music starts to give you time for sun build-up and defenses. Also, put a sacrifice plant in front of the endangered Phat Beet until it is ready to be kicked back, as it is weaker than the Wall-nuts. Picking Wall-nut for Wall-nut First Aid is a good option. Use Plant Food to build sun or you can also re-enforce the Wall-nuts with it if they get weak in case the Punk Zombies die before moving them. Chard Guard is another good pick also. Plan your offense around either row attacking plants, group killing, or a mix that works for you. Have at least one instant kill plant like Cherry Bomb or Lava Guava .

This level can be medium difficulty with the new Cactus premium plant's penetrating ability but rather hard without it if the Punk Zombies are not able to kick back the endangered plants.

Strategy 2 [ ]

Sun-shroom2

  • Plant a Wall-nut and an Infi-nut in the fifth and fourth column to stall the zombies. During the time, plant Sun-shrooms.
  • In the second wave, plant more defensive plants to protect Phat Beets. Plant one Peashooter as far as possible on the row having endangered Phat Beet.
  • When punk jam plays, plant one Phat Beet near the Punk Zombie to kill him. You can also let him mosh the endangered Wall-nuts, but do not let him mosh them more than two tiles.
  • Keep planting Phat Beets on the second and fourth row. Use Cherry Bomb or Stallia if needed to prevent your Phat Beets being eaten.
  • When the second wave comes and Punk Zombies appear in the second and fourth row, immediately shovel your defensive plants in front of them and all Peashooters to have free tiles for endangered plants. If you think you cannot be fast enough, use Stallia and try not to let Punk Zombies mosh the plants.

Strategy 3 [ ]

Sunflower2

  • This strategy is simple: Plant as many Sunflower and Sun-shroom as you can and use Magnifying Grass to defeat zombies quickly.
  • Plant 2 more Phat Beet on the 2nd row and the 4th row to make sure that you don't spent too much sun on low-health zombie.
  • Pay attention to the endangered Phat Beets. If things get rough, use Cherry Bomb as a last resort and Stunion to delay them.

Strategy 4 [ ]

Tall-nut2

This strategy can beat the level without Plant Food, premium content, gemium plants, or losing any lawn mowers. It also does not require plants obtained in levels after Day 5 (such as Thyme Warp and Garlic).

At the beginning, plant Sun-shrooms in all tiles of the first and second column except for the second and fourth lanes, and an extra one in the center lane, third column. As this is being done, plant a Tall-nut in front of the endangered Phat Beet that is being approached by the first few zombies, and a Wall-nut DIRECTLY BEHIND the endangered Wall-nut, not in front. Use Stallia on the zombies themselves to delay them. Protect the other endangered plants in the same manner, save for using a Stallia on the Conehead Zombie walking between the Phat Beets to ensure he is killed.

When the first Punk Zombies come and begin kicking the endangered Wall-nuts, the Wall-nuts behind them will allow the pair to "hopscotch" over each other to safety at the back at the lawn. When the endangered Wall-nut lands in the third column, plant a Magnet-shroom immediately in the tile above it to kill the Punk Zombies; if done correctly, this will secure the endangered Wall-nut behind another one several columns away from the action, secure the Sun-shrooms behind them, and leave attacking zombies vulnerable to Phat Beets. Do the same for the other Wall-nut pair, and secure the tile in between the Phat Beets with any -Nut handy.

With the Wall-nuts safe, as soon as possible, plant Snapdragons behind the Phat Beets, a third Snapdragon between them, and Magnet-shrooms behind them. Afterward, plant Spikerocks on all tiles ahead of the Phat Beets' defense. Constantly use Stallias on the zombies to slow down the horde. Use surplus sun to spam the front end of the lawn with more Magnet-shrooms and Spikerock. This will make it extremely difficult for Punk Zombies to kick even the Phat Beets' protection away. If they succeed, there will be spaces available for them, and with two different -Nut plants to use, replacing them is not an issue. If you need to heal the Tall-nuts, dig them up and then replant, rather than use Wall-nut First Aid .

Strategy 5 [ ]

Iceberg Lettuce2

At the beginning, plant Sunflowers on the first column. When the first zombies come, stall them with Iceberg Lettuce. DO NOT put Primal Wall-nuts down just yet, Punk Zombies can kick them back, rendering them almost useless to protect the endangered plants. However, once the first Punk Zombies start coming, kill them with Magnet-shroom.

Once you have enough sun, put a Red Stinger in each row, so every lane has a proper defense. If you are positive their no more Punk Zombies around, put Primal Wall-nut in front of the endangered plants, so you can block the plants from getting eating. If it is a total emergency, you can use Plant Food on Iceberg Lettuce to freeze all the zombies onscreen. If a zombie is about to eat one of the endangered plants, especially Phat Beets, quickly put Plant Food on it to give the Phat Beet immunity and kill all the weak zombies around it.

Strategy 6   (Contains gemium content) [ ]

Gold Bloom2

  • Punk Zombie 's ability to kick back plants is useful, especially for kicking back the endangered Wall-nuts.
  • Place Gold Bloom. This is extremely important as zombies come fast during the level.
  • Place Sweet Potato in between the Phat Beets.
  • Place three Fume-shrooms behind the Sweet Potato. This should kill Punk Zombies before they kick the Sweet Potato. If they managed to do that, replace the Sweet Potato immediately.
  • When the Punk jam starts, place Magnifying Grass behind the Wall-nuts in column 2.
  • When an endangered Wall-nut is kicked to column 3, kill the Punk Zombie kicking it with Magnifying Grass.
  • Start preparing the Magnet-shrooms behind the Phat Beets. They can kill Punk Zombies, but their main goal is to take the buckets from Neon Buckethead Zombies.

Strategy 7 [ ]

  • Sunflower (any level)
  • Sun-shroom (level 2 is recommended)
  • Magnifying Grass (level 2)
  • Plant Sunflowers and Sun-shrooms at the second and third columns.
  • When the first zombie is coming, plant a Magnifying Grass and kill the zombie.
  • Let the Punk Zombie kick the endangered plant to the first column, after their job done, kill them
  • Repeat step 2-3.
  • This strategy is good with Squash.
  • Plant the Magnifying Grass in the fourth column.

Strategy 8   (Contains gemium content) [ ]

Created by El777Verg

Required plants:

  • Infi-nut (or Wall-nut)
  • Citron (or Pea pod)
  • Primal peashooter (or Chard guard and Peashooter)
  • Hypno-shroom
  • Sun-shroom (or Sunflower)

Plant an Infi-nut in the second column from the right and give it Plant Food.

Plant the Sun-shrooms (or Sunflowers) in the first column from the left.

When a zombie (not Punk zombie) will come, plant a Citron (or Pea pod, or Peashooter).

When a Punk zombie will come, plant Primal peashooter (or Chard guard).

Strategy 9   (Contains premium content) [ ]

Created by EpicGamer11904

A.K.E.E.2

  • Start Planting a Column of Sun-shrooms, Immediately plant Gold Bloom for extra sun as well, you can Imitater Gold Bloom to get twice the amount of sun the normal Gold Bloom gives.
  • Plant Holly Barriers in front of the Phat Beets.
  • Plant a Column A.K.E.E. in front of the Sun-shrooms.
  • Plant Magnet-shrooms by the Wall-nuts, they will deal with the Punk Zombies as well as the Bucketheads. Another alternative is Cold Snapdragon or Phat Beets too.
  • When the Final Wave starts, use Power Lily and Plant Food A.K.E.E., use Cherry Bomb if necessary. Stallia would benefit too.

Plants vs Zombies 2 - Neon Mixtape Tour Day 5 (Beta)- Celery Stalker and bugs

The advertisement that appears if the player loses the level

  • This is the first Save Our Seeds level (aside from a Piñata Party ) to have more than one type of endangered plants.
  • Losing this level by any means (either if the endangered Phat Beet or Wall-nuts get eaten or kicked out of the lawn by Punk Zombie , or a zombie reaches the house) will cause an advertisement to pop up that is titled "Penny's Helpful Hints!". It then goes on to say, "Use defensive plants to protect your Phat Beets". The ad is accompanied by pictures of a Chard Guard and a Stallia as examples.
  • However, after the 6.2.1 update, the columnar positions of the endangered Wall-nuts and Phat Beets were changed again; all moved backwards, making the level slightly easier.

Neon Mixtape Tour

Neon Mixtape TourRFL

Neon Mixtape Tour is the 9th world in Plants vs. Zombies 2: Reflourished . It contains 42 levels, including 10 expansion levels, 8 plants to unlock, and 18 zombies to encounter.

Neon Mixtape Tour takes place sometime in the 1980s, a decade in music history easily characterized by the heavy usage of electronic synthesizers. Many genres in this time also either became popular, were reaching peak popularity, or were experiencing a resurgence, examples of which include but are not limited to: synth-pop, post-punk, heavy metal, hip-hop, and R&B.

The main gimmick of the world are Jams . Certain zombies and grid items from this world will only activate their abilities when their prefered jam is playing (i.e. Punk Zombie will kick plants during punk jam). The jam playing can change throughout the level, and can be interrupted by Boombox Zombie .

World Description [ ]

Stock up on hairspray and rewind to the 1980s! With synthesized music and voraciously radical zombies, this heinous party will, like, totally tax you to the MAX!

*Prizes that are not money bags are unlocked only first time.

Brain Busters [ ]

Special delivery [ ].

Special Delivery is a Brain Buster featuring a conveyor belt, with said conveyor belt being the only way to recieve plants. No sun is needed in this Brain Buster, as plants given by the conveyor belt are free of charge. Certain levels may have a hard limit for a specific plant, and the frequency of each plant appearing can vary depending on the level.

It is played on Days 3 , 6 , 10 , 19 , 22 , 27 , 35 and 39 .

Locked and Loaded [ ]

Locked and Loaded is a Brain Buster here the player is forced to use the plants given in the level. They are only required to use the plants given to them in order to win the level. Even if certain plants given in the level have yet to be unlocked, the player still has the ability to use that plant within the level itself. This can serve as a demo for that plant if that ever manages to happen.

It is played on Days 9 , 14 , 31 , 34 and 38 .

Last Stand [ ]

Last Stand is a Brain Buster where the player is given an extreme amount of sun and a limited amount of Plant Food to use for the entire level. The player must set up a strong defense beforehand before advancing. Most free plants and all sun-producing plants are banned in these levels, and any more Plant Food is not handed out throughout the level, though certain levels may have at least one carrier of it in it.

It is played on Days 13 and 24 .

Save Our Seeds [ ]

Save Our Seeds is a Brain Buster where the player is tasked to protect a number of endangered plants throughout the entire level. Getting one of the endangered plants destroyed in any way (i.e. eaten, crushed, etc.), or activated in the case of plants such as Potato Mine or Lava Guava , will result in a loss for the player.

It is played on Days 6 , 15 , 26 , 37 and 15 .

Greatest Hits [ ]

Greatest Hits is Neon Mixtape Tour's Endless Zone. It is unlocked after beating Neon Mixtape Tour - Day 20 . The player can practice and hone their skills in surviving level after level of endless zombies. As the player progresses deeper into the Endless Zone, the metal jam may start to play for as early as the second wave, spawning Hair Metal Gargantuars alongside it.

Zombot Multi-stage Masher [ ]

The player must fight Dr. Zomboss in the Neon Mixtape Tour jamming on the Zombot Multi-stage Masher, and later on, its upgraded version. It can summon almost every zombie found in this world. Plants in these levels are only given to the player by a conveyor belt. The Zombot Multi-stage Masher itself can attack the player's plants in two ways. One is by dropping speakers onto the lawn, usually targeting plants. The other is by sending out sonic blasts from the speakers, tossing every plant and zombie away from the lawn.

It is fought at Days 32 and 42 .

Neon Mixtape Tour - Day 28

Neon Mixtape Tour - Day 28 is the twenty-eighth level of Neon Mixtape Tour in Plants vs. Zombies 2 . Intensive Carrot is pre-selected for this level. After completing this level, the player receives a money bag .

  • 1 Difficulty
  • 3 Strategies
  • 5 Walkthrough

Boombox Zombies are highly annoying here as they tend to appear in large numbers, especially very early on, so they can reach the sixth column easily. To prevent this, it is recommended that the player use Magnifying Grass , groups of Electric Blueberry , Endurian , area effect plants like Phat Beet or ground plants like Spikerock to quickly defeat them. The player should also be aware of Punk Zombies , MC Zom-Bs and Breakdancer Zombies as the former can push back or quickly destroy plants, giving them an easier advantage for reaching the column and the latter can kick them right onto the column, allowing them to use their abilities right at that instant.

Arcade Zombies are very dangerous as they appear early and quickly crush underground plants with their arcade machines , along with an early spawning of 8-Bit Zombies . The player should try using instants as soon as possible to destroy the arcade machines before they can cause problems.

This strategy can complete the level without Plant Food , premium content or losing any lawn mowers .

  • Magnifying Grass
  • Twin Sunflower
  • Celery Stalker
  • Magnet-shroom
  • Cherry Bomb

The Boombox Zombies cannot affect Magnifying Grass, so ignore them at the beginning and fill up the first column with Magnifying Grass and the second and third columns with Twin Sunflowers, prioritizing the sunflowers first. Shoot the Boombox Zombies with Magnifying Grass only when they are getting too close, or if too many of them are somehow blocking the Twin Sunflowers from producing sun.

When the three Arcade Zombies appear, use a Cherry Bomb to destroy ONLY their arcade machines, without harming them. Leaving them alive will continue to drag out the beginning out the level, letting you stockpile even more sun. You will eventually have enough sun to destroy everything else in the level, but plant Magnet-shrooms in the fourth column and Celery Stalkers in the sixth column to greatly reduce the amount of sun you need to remain safe.

Shoot down or Cherry Bomb any arcade machines as soon as they appear, blasting through zombies in the way if need be, as well as MC Zom-Bs if they are getting near the frontlines and especially if they have Breakdancer Zombies there to push them. You can use Thyme Warp to round up heavy crowds of enemies together for a big Cherry Bomb attack, saving a great deal of sun, especially during the final wave.

The only downside is that it's available in Neon Mixtape Tour, but for what it does, it's just soooo good.
