Rapper will hit the road in November

Kanye West has announced details of a UK arena tour, set to kick off in London on November 12.

The rapper will play five dates during the tour, which will end at the Manchester MEN Arena on November 17.

We haven't heard anything more about that possible Throne sequel that Jay-Z alluded to in December, but he and Kanye West remain attached at the hip regardless. They've announced the first round of dates for a UK and European Watch the Throne tour , beginning in May. More dates will be announced.

Kanye West is a complete visionary who has shifted the course of pop culture time and time again, first as a producer and then as a rapper and fashion mogul.

Kanye was born in a middle class household in Chicago and was a creative from an early age, often writing poetry and becoming part of the city’s hip hop scene at a young age. He briefly attended college but dropped out when it became detrimental to the creation of his music.

He began producing beats for local artists, developing a signature style that utilized sped-up soul samples and before long he received his first big break when he became an in-house producer for Roc A Fella Records and was responsible for the now classic Jay Z Album ‘The Blueprint’.

Despite his production success, Kanye had maintained a desire to make it as a rapper but due to his unconventional style and background had struggled to secure a deal. Dame Dash reluctantly signed Kanye to Roc A Fella however Kanye was involved in a car accident which he was lucky to survive. With his jaw still wired shut, Kanye channeled his emotions into ‘through The Wire’, a single which would appear on his debut album ‘The College Dropout’ in 2004. The album is considered one of the most important Hip Hop debuts and had a lasting effect on the genre.

With each subsequent album Kanye changed up his sound and broken new ground. On 2008’s ‘808 and Hearrtbreaks’ for example, he embraced auto-tune singing and, although many were unsure at the time, it influenced the future sound of Hip Hop and Rnb (laying the framework for the likes of Drake to become huge stars). In 2013 he stunned fans again with the jarring ‘Yeezus’, which, with its industrial minimalism, shocked the genre to its core and won praise from critics in the process.

Live reviews

I gotta give it to Yeezus. He's still got the juice and for him to pack the 'Bowl' while performing a seven year old album is a testament to that fact. Show started an hour late and I had the feeling there would be some tech glitches, but you definitely couldn't hate on the effort. There was a small orchestra section stage right and on stage left what appeared to be a few DJ's and dudes on drum machines. The center of the stage featured 3 grand white staircases that were reconfigured between songs. There were fireworks at times which didn't quite fit the tone of the album, but who doesn't like fireworks. It was a party atmosphere and I felt a real connection with other fans simply based on the fact that WE LOVE THIS FUCKING ALBUM. We sang, we yelled, we danced, we laughed, and we reminisced about a Kanye that took us back to bring us forward.

Most memorable moments:

Staircases rotate to reveal 60 or so black men in rags and covered in dust. Very striking visual that reminded me of a slave ship. He used what I'll call "human props" throughout the show, but I felt like this moment resonated most.

Jeezy came out for Amazing, but the tech was ALL CHEWED UP. Sound was cutting in and out, poor lighting, pianist was even confused at one point.

At one point Kanye states that this performance is actually more of a dress rehearsal. I figured as much and even debated going to the Saturday show, but there was something about the rawness of an opening night that I wanted to be part of. I'm sure Saturday's show will be way more on point.

I have never been a person who could pinpoint a moment in which divine providence had played some role in my life. That is, until I saw Kanye.

Watching Kanye West perform is a wholly religious experience. Someone you don't know and can barely see is instructing you to complete strange actions which seem nonsensical, like throwing your hands in there or singing lyrics or pointing your middle finger to the sky. Yet, you follow along. You are surrounded by thousands of people who share similar beliefs and interests as you. Everything is ridiculous expensive and you must pay your way in.

Kanye comes out pretty much an hour late, just because he can. When he finally emerges, it is on a platform suspended in the air. The platform rocks to and fro during the concert, bouncing right above the general admissions mosh pit. It is those in the mosh pit who are the most blessed. They seem positively energized by Kanye, dancing and thrashing for two hours straight.

When Kanye finishes his act, he performs "Ultralight Beam". Towards the end of the show, his platform lowers and he steps down onto the ground, showing us that the man we had seemingly worshiped with our screams and our expressions of adulation walks on the same ground we do. And maybe it was the weed smoke, or maybe the sheer excitement, but as I was swaying to the music, I felt a connection to a higher power, something greater than myself. It was a moment of absolute perfection where I didn't feel alone and hopeless in the world.

Whether his messianic stature is bona fide or self-professed, one thing’s still for certain: an evening with Kanye West will blow your freaking mind.

Love him or loathe him, there are number of things we say about ‘Ye for certain. The guy boasts a repertoire of hits hotter than Seth Rogen’s motorcycle seat. This is a guy with the talent to dethrone his mentor, with the vision to produce the totally unexpected, and with the ego to say and do exactly what he wants. All in all, those ingredients synthesise to produce the greatest live music experience on offer in the modern age. Hands down.

However it’s what we can’t say for certain about West that polarises crowds the world over. The rants, the fights, the Jesus lookalikes; to some extent, it’s no great surprise that the rapper has found himself at loggerheads with audiences on multiple occasions.

But if that’s the price we have to pay to accept this visionary into our lives, then show me where to sign. When Kanye delivers, he arrives first class. “One of the greatest hip-hop sets of all time”, so said the Hollywood Reporter of Coachella 2011. “I am so credible and so influential and so relevant that I will change things”, so said Kanye of himself. Hear, hear, Mr. West.

The sounds of hydraulic machinery filled Oracle Arena, as the stench of dirt weed mingled with the faux fog that had been pumping into the air over the past two hours. The opening samples of “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” were slowed down and turned elastic, thus leaving alien chemtrails of sound in the wake of the shadowy figure tethered to the hovering spacecraft. With heads upturned in anticipation of first contact, the crowd was lost in darkness. Chants of “Kan-ye! Kan-ye!” filled every empty space, until the object of their affection shone his light down on the chosen few.

The party-sized hoverboard had traversed the entire length of the arena (from a height of about 10 feet above the tallest head), before blasting spotlights on those below; instantly creating the largest circle pit a hip-hop tour has ever seen.

“Just wanna feel liberated, I, I, I…”

Kanye West had arrived in Oakland, and while many outside the venue failed to understand the appeal, those who had been waiting patiently (well past start time) were losing their collective mind.

Kanye was a lot more humble than I expected. I've always loved a lot of the lyrics of his songs as they speak about real stuff that's going on, like the media covering up on what's actually important and people higher up trying to make everyone conform. His concert was better than I thought it would be. He was entertaining, interactive with the crowd, tried to get the people on the floor to start a mosh pit (haha) and he talked about some shit in the media against him that wasn't true. The massive screen thing he had happening put an interesting twist to seeing Kanye as it was done in like negative colouring and you could only half see him a lot of the time, which was a bit frustrating but also added to the drama of him. I LOVED the freaky masks he wore half the time, very Kanye- all that bling. He played a good mix of his music from a bunch of new stuff right back to the older stuff. Almost the whole seated crowd were standing the whole time (something I've NEVER seen at a concert) I have a newfound respect for Kanye West and am really happy I finally got to see him. I'd definitely go back

i, as well as everyone else who came to see your show in sacramento, were so hyped. it was literally going to be the highlight of my thanksgiving break. i bought your tickets for $70 as well as a shirt for $20, only for you to show up AN HOUR AND A HALF LATE, perform three songs that you didn't even finish, and to listen to your inaccurate rant about politics. honestly man, i respected you so much as an artist; you were and still are a musical genius and i will forever support your music career, but i lost all respect for you as a person yesterday. you disrespected your fans last night, who have been nothing but loyal to you throughout your career. that was a real shitty move, and to be honest with you man, i feel sorry for you. the money so up in your mind that you don't know who you are anymore.

The Saint Pablo Tour was by far the dopest energy in one place that I have felt at a venue the size of Verizon Center. The stage was suspended in air and the attendees with floor seats were actually a mosh pit! They stood the entire time fueling the energy as he floated above their heads and out stretched arms. Everyone in the building stood the entire concert. Everyone. Though the lights were dim and the big screen had an hallucination type effect, the lyrics and his movement came thru with Kanye precision. I had the time of my life at this concert. The cherry on the top was that I was invited as a surprise from my love. The hands down best surprise I've ever received!! I love the old Kanye. I love the new Kanye. I love Kanye. Period.

Is Kanye West Going On A World Tour In 2024?

With Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign hosting a listing for their upcoming joint album Vultures , fans have begun speculating about whether or not the album will be accompanied by a tour. Ever since Kanye’s antisemitism scandal , he hasn’t exactly had potential sponsors leaping at the chance to work with him (especially with the contemporary political climate). But that hasn’t stopped a variety of profiles on Twitter (which still says “Twitter” in the URL so shoo with all that “X” talk) from posting screenshots of a purported “merch site” listing concert tickets for a Vultures World Tour .

The site has supposedly been deactivated, but at this point, premature announcements and half-baked ideas are par for the course for Kanye, who gave a quarter-hearted attempt at running for president in 2020, slapped together the last few rus of his YZY Supply fashion line, was apparently a terrible business partner at Adidas, rarely showing up for meetings and playing porn for other attendees if he ever did show up, and announcing a “ worldwide listening event ” for Vultures , only to scale it down to a “ rave ” in Miami when he finally realized that no venues at the scale he envisioned want to work with him anymore. Because, again, he’s said some truly wild stuff — like “praising Hitler” wild — in his efforts to be an “edgy” artiste. Welcome to the edge, I guess.

If you’re one of those people who is only too happy to get scammed by Ye — again — in the interest of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy nostalgia, keep an eye out. I’m sure there are still some backyards or skinhead rallies or something he can book.

Against all odds, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have extended their 2024 tour.

The controversial pair booked additional ‘Vultures 1 Listening Experience’ arena concerts all over the U.S. from April 7-14 in support of their recently released album.

Stops on the brief run include Nashville (April 7), Pittsburgh (April 9), Washington, D.C. (April 11), Charlotte (April 12) and Tampa (April 14.)

According to a press release, fans can expect to be treated to the duo’s controversial, chart-topping “Vultures” album “in a high-fidelity audio and visual showcase, crafted by Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign.”

Fans should be aware that West has delivered offensive lyrics at recent shows.

While wearing a Jason Voorhees mask onstage, West rapped “And I’m still crazy, bipolar, anti-Semite. And I’m still the king,” which led to the event’s livestream being cut off.

For fans that want to catch the listening party live, tickets are available for all five gigs as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Tuesday, April 2, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Kanye West controversy

Over the past few years years, the 46-year-old Chicago native has generated quite a bit of ire.

His most notable recent dustup took place in late 2022 when he made a number of anti-Semitic statements which led to many companies he partnered with — including Gap, Adidas, and Balenciega — dropping him from their labels.

Kanye West drops ‘Vultures’ and announces world tour with possible dates in Spain

Kanye West is gearing up for a new record and a world tour. “Vultures” will be dropping any time soon, and is the first record between West and Ty Dolla Sign, who’ve formed a duo known as ¥$. While the album has faced multiple delays (it was supposed to be released today), a new music video was released for the song “Talking/Once Again,” featuring Kanye West and Kim Kardashian ’s daughter North West in her musical debut . While discussing the project, West announced some possible tour dates, which include stops in Spain.

West teased his upcoming world tour on his Instagram stories, revealing some of the possible tour dates and locations. He shared a screenshot containing some text messages and an Excel sheet that outlined some tour dates and locations, including dates in arenas locateed in New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Chicago. It also featured dates in Egypt, London, Dubai, and Madrid. The stops in Madrid were scheduled for August 17th and 18th, at the Madrid Arena.

In another story, West said that he and Dolla Sign were toying with the idea of performing in emblematic international locations, like the Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro, where the statue of Christ the Redeemer is located, the pyramids of Giza, and the Great Wall of China.

North West’s debut in “Vultures” marks her first time performing. She’s featured in “Talking/Once Again,” where she sings some verses and appears in the music video with her hair getting braided. At one point she’s recorded sitting on her dad’s shoulders and saying something in his ear.

Taylor Swift quietly supports pal Cara Delevingne at London theater in between Eras Tour stops

Taylor Swift reportedly snuck in to see Cara Delevingne take the stage for “Cabaret” in London’s West End Friday while on a brief break from her Eras Tour.

Arthur Jones, the head of marketing at Playhouse Theater’s Kit Kat Club, where the show is held, wrote via X Friday “can confirm” when a social media user asked if the pop superstar attended the show.

He added, “A special night” since it was also Delevingne’s final performance as Sally Bowles.

Page Six reached out to reps for Swift and Delevingne to confirm the Grammy winner’s attendance but did not immediately hear back. Jones also did not reply to our request for comment.

Swift, 34, reportedly jetted to London after wrapping up two Eras Tour shows in Spain.

“I LOVE YOU FOREVER MADRID!!! No ability to convey my thoughts other than to just YELL that,” she gushed on Instagram Friday.

“We just got to spend 2 magical nights dancing and singing with the most electrifying, passionate crowds and I’ll never forget a second of it.”

After London, the “Fortnight” is expected to fly to Lyon, France, for two concerts beginning Sunday at Groupama Stadium. She then heads to Scotland and back to England.

Delevingne and Swift have been friends for more than a decade. The model, 31, attended the Eras Tour in New Jersey and Arizona in 2023.

However, it’s unclear if Delevingne will attend upcoming shows in Europe now that she’s done with her gig at the Kit Kat Club.

She began her run in the show in March, around the same time when her $7 million Los Angeles mansion burned down .

“ My heart is broken today … I cannot believe it. Life can change in the blink of an eye,” the “Paper Towns” star wrote via Instagram following the news. “So cherish what you have.”

Kim and Kanye Were Proud Parents as ‘Confident’ North West Took the Stage for ‘Lion King’ Concert  (Exclusive)

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West looked on proudly as their eldest daughter, North West, took over Pride Rock — and Hollywood.

North, 10, starred as Young Simba at the live Lion King concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday, May 24. North sang “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” in a lion-inspired costume after an introduction by Jason Weaver, who voiced the cub’s singing voice in the 1994 animated film.

“She smiled and seemed nervous yet confident. She definitely seemed to be having fun and trying her best,” an eyewitness exclusively tells Us Weekly , noting that North “never forgot the words,” and “danced all around the stage.” The insider adds, “[She] looked really happy [and was] always smiling.”

North, who performed one song on Friday, was supported by her famous family, including both of her parents. Kardashian, 43, shared behind-the-scenes snaps before North hit the stage via her Instagram Story while West, 46, never put down his phone during the show.

“Kanye whipped out his phone to film as soon as she began,” the source says of the rapper, who was sitting near Kardashian and their younger kids. (West and the reality star also share Saint, 7, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5.)

According to the insider, Kanye wore black sunglasses and a white hood covering over his face.

“Kanye filmed the whole time and gave North a standing ovation,” the source adds, noting the performance proved the preteen’s singing talent. “She was absolutely adorable and you can tell she will be a good singer. She has a good voice. She danced and moved across the stage and had good rhythm.”

At the end of the Friday concert, North reunited with the rest of the cast — including Jennifer Hudson and Billy Eichner — for the curtain call. Kourtney Kardashian , Travis Barker and Kris Jenner were in the audience to cheer on their family member.

“North waved and clapped along with the others,” the source says. “She was so cute, waving and smiling to those in the crowd as she exited the stage. She looked like she didn’t want the night to end!”

North previously announced that she is working on her debut album , titled Elementary School Dropout, which is presumably a reference to West’s 2004 College Dropout LP.

“It’s gonna be great,” North teased to Jazzy’s World TV in March, noting there is no confirmed release date just yet.

Variety spoke to Eichner on Wednesday just after the first rehearsal for the Hollywood Bowl event . “All of the producers have flown over from London,” he said. “We’re all finally in person together with the orchestra and the conductor and choreographer Jamal Sims and so many dancers — so many dancers! I feel like I’m on Madonna’s Blond Ambition tour.”

It’s hard to believe that today marks the 10-year wedding anniversary of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West , and the day they said their vows in front their friends, family and a selection of famous faces.

A lot has changed since the Gold Digger rapper, 46 and Skims businesswoman, 43 were serenaded by Andrea Bocelli in the middle of Florence on May 24, 2014, having flown guests from the US to Paris for the pre-wedding celebrations at Versailles.

Their big day sparked countless headlines over Rob Kardashian skipping the whole thing,the drama around Beyonce and Jay Z also deciding not to attend, Lana del Ray performing at one of their many events and Kylie Jenner rocking a full head of blue hair at the nuptials.

Kimye, who were joined by eldest daughter North at the ceremony, went on to add to their brood with children Saint, Chicago and Psalm – but it wasn’t to last, and they called time on their marriage six years later, with the Kardashians star filing for divorce in 2021 .

They were declared legally single the following year – the Grammy-winner later married Bianca Censori in secret , while Kim famously dated Pete Davidson for around nine months, and has since been linked to a number of stars.

Looking back over the pictures from their stunning getaway, it’s startling to see how life has moved on all involved, with body language expert Judi James stunned by Ye’s transformation a decade later.

Unpacking the images in a chat with Metro.co.uk , she told us: ‘These poses look so many re-brands ago that it’s hard to recognize the current Kanye in this grinning, beaming, over-awed man dressed in formal suit and bow tie, gazing at a very demure-looking Kim who is encased in her vast veil like some precious gift.

‘Kanye’s body language makes him look so keen to please here and he does more smiling in a couple of poses than he’s since done in a decade or so. The couple look sweet together here and relatively uncomplicated.

‘They clearly had pretentions as a celebrity power couple but the way they walk away from the camera with Kanye gazing at Kim’s face with an excited-looking laugh while his left hand sticks out from his side in a gesture of anxiety to get everything right, suggested he might go to great lengths in terms of flexing to get the marriage to work, too.’

In the decade since, we’ve had a front row seat into all things Kimye, and witnessed their relationship go from strength to strength before imploding under the glare of the spotlight .

Following their separation, Ye briefly moved on with Julia Fox before making things official with Bianca, who he married in 2022 – they have rarely been out of the headlines ever since, thanks largely to her never-ending wardrobe of increasingly eye-catching outfits…

Comparing the images of their celebration to his most recent outings, with Bianca on his arm, Judi continued: ‘This just doesn’t look like the man we see now hauling his near-naked new wife round while he walks shoeless and wrapped from top to toe in baggy black clothing or scowling while she poses expressionless beside him.

‘In these photos Kanye looks like the perfect fit with Kim’s clear desire to create wedding perfection. The Kardashian women are very determined when it comes to creating ‘ideal’ husbands and partners from more challenging men (Kim even tried to tame Pete Davidson a brief while ago).

‘This was a wedding that was supposed to look A-list plus and it was vital Kanye appeared as the perfect, smitten dream groom.’

‘There were small hints that Kanye might have been over-flexing his natural personality to fit in with Kim’s search for perfection though,’ Judi suggested.

‘He looks a little awkward holding her hips as she cups his face to proffer a kiss for the cameras and when they pose in close-up together he seems unable to perform eye contact on his bride.

‘He looks happier face-watching her as he tries to make her laugh with him but Kim seems keen to maintain the look of demure bridal elegance instead.

‘Was Kanye swept up in the Kardashian brand here? If so he morphed again quite quickly to the “sulky rapper with the dominant behavior” look after the wedding.

‘The couple were clearly in love but that could have made them oblivious to some of the intrinsic differences in terms of individual brand and lifestyle.

‘We’ve now seen how Kanye looks and acts when he has no filter, with a compliant partner who came with no established brand or fame of her own in the shape of Bianca and it’s far from this well-behaved, smart, compliant look we see with Kim at their wedding.’

Amid swirling split rumors, Kim officially filed for divorce in February, 2021 – nine years after she first started dating the Yeezy designer.

However, she has maintained their close relationship for the sake of their children , and vowed that her ex-husband will always be seen as family.

‘You have to just be there for them,’ she said of their brood during an interview on ABC in 2022. ‘No matter what, even in this crazy life that we live, you just have to have a really open dialogue with your children. 

‘Kanye and I have had conversations. We have to talk daily for the kids so you know, I hate that it had to play out like that. But when it comes to family, I mean, Kanye and I will always be family.

‘At the end of the day, I just want my kids to be happy and healthy, and think the world of their dad. And they do.’
