This show was alright not the best. My guest and I had a hard time enjoying the show with how aggressive the crowd got during the show. We were standing right in front of the floor gate and we kept being smooshed towards the gate and had to duck a lot of the time so that the security guards could grab the people whom had chose to surf on the crowd. Very frustrating on how frequent it was...I knew it was going to happen but not that bad. However show was alright

This was truly an incredible experience!

The opening acts were fantastic! And I Prevail was insane! They interacted with the crowd a bunch, which was sick.

I really don't think I have any negatives to say. I appreciate the band taking the time to meet every fan that bought VIP tickets and taking photos with us. my boyfriend is a HUGE fan so I know that it was truly an experience he won't soon forget.

All the bands at this show did an amazing job. Escape the fate, a word alive, we came as romans and I prevail. Escape the fate opened the show and had allot of good energy. Great opening band to get the crowd going and in the mood. Next up was a word alive. I personally have never heard them before but now I'm looking forward to buying their album. They had a great sound and energy as well. Then came we came as romans. This was the band I came to see. I loved it. They played a few of my favorites which really enhanced the experience for me. Their singer even crowd surfed from the stage to the center of the floor and had the crowd holding him upright above them as he sang the song. Freaking epic! Then I prevail came on. Great sound, very aggressive and energetic with a matching light show. The had a lil comedy routine in between songs about wrestling (wwf wrestling). Their music was amazing as was their sound. At this venue they were recording for live wire so I can wait to see that. Overall great show. Now if only we came as romans, bring me to the horizon, of mice and men and volumes would do a tour together.

Hollywood Undead and Fit for a King will support the summer outing

Halestorm and I Prevail are teaming up for a co-headlining Summer 2024 North American tour. The outing will feature support from Hollywood Undead and Fit for a King.

The tour sets off from Raleigh, North Carolina, on July 9th and runs through August 17th in Las Vegas. The itinerary includes a stop at the Inkcarceration festival on July 30th in Mansfield, Ohio.

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select dates begins Wednesday (March 6th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code KEY . Halestorm and I Prevail announce co-headline tour

I Prevail and Halestorm will hit the road for a monster co-headline tour across the United States this summer...

Halestorm and I Prevail are heading out on tour across North America this summer.

Kicking off on July 9 in Raleigh, North Carolina, the 20-plus date tour runs through amphitheaters and festivals alike, and climaxes on August 17 at Bakkt Theater in Las Vegas.

"Freaks, we are so proud to announce that we are joining forces with I Prevail," says Halestorm's Lzzy Hale. "This isn’t your typical summer tour. This is two worlds colliding under one haven for our collective armies. And bringing you a show unlike any we’ve done before! We have a lot of surprises in store, so get your tickets now for an experience none of us will forget!"

"We're thrilled to join forces with Halestorm this summer," states I Prevail's Eric Vanlerberghe. "Touring with Halestorm is long overdue, as we admire their talent, energy, and dedication to rock music, and are thrilled to finally see it happen. This is going to be one of the best tours of the summer and one of the best we've ever done."

Joining the co-headliners for the entire run will be Hollywood Undead and Fit For A King .

Tickets go on sale March 8 at 10am local time.

Halestorm + I Prevail Announce 2024 North American Summer Tour

Halestorm  and I Prevail  have announced a 2024 North American co-headlining summer tour with Hollywood Undead and Fit for a King as support.

Halestorm shared a teaser clip on their Instagram a few days ago that showed their logo spin over a black background, then switch to I Prevail's logo and then back to their own again. It was a subtle teaser, but anyone familiar with I Prevail's logo may have recognized the horizontal symbol that connects the V and the A in their band name.

The trek will kick off July 9 in Raleigh, N.C. and wrap up Aug. 17 in Las Vegas. The general ticket sale beings this Friday, March 8 at 10AM local time. You can  get tickets through Halestorm's website or I Prevail's page .

Hard rock heavyweights Halestorm and metalcore heroes I Prevail have collaborated for a brand new single!

Hard rock national treasures Halestorm have teamed up with modern metalcore heroes I Prevail for a brand new single. The two bands, who hit the road together for a North American tour this summer alongside Hollywood Undead and Fit For A King, wrote the track, titled Can U See Me In The Dark?, in honour of their imminent trek.

"In celebration of our upcoming tour together, we joined forces with the boys of I Prevail and wrote an original song together," says Halestorm frontwoman  Lzzy Hale . " can u see me in the dark?  is written for our collective fan bases, our community, our family. Halestorm & i prevail preview joint tour with “can u see me in the dark” collaboration.

Before they hit the road together, Halestorm and I Prevail have joined forces in the studio.

The two bands have released a collaborative track called “can u see me in the dark?”

“It was a fun challenge to blend the Halestorm and I Prevail sounds together,” says I Prevail’s  Eric Vanlerberghe . “We really focused on creating a music bed that felt very much I Prevail and letting Lzzy [ Hale ] just shine and do what she does best. I feel we found a very sick way to blend the two identities of our bands into one massive song. I’m really looking forward to this tour and possibly playing this song live together for everyone.”

Diamondbacks Prevail Over Padres in Electric Atmosphere in San Diego

In a playoff-like atmosphere at Petco Park, the Padres had the tying run on second base with two outs in the 9th. The 2-2 pitch from Paul Sewald to Jake Cronenworth appeared to be off the plate, but home plate umpire Charlie Ramos called it a strike to end the game.

With that the D-backs had pulled off a tense 4-3 victory in the first of four games at Petco Park against the Padres

The bullpen was terrific, throwing 4.2 scoreless innings. Joe Mantiply, Kevin Ginkel, and Ryan Thompson passed the relay baton before ultimately handing it off to Sewald for the 9th inning save.

Ginkel ended up getting the win by recording four outs. His record in relief is now 5-1 and after a rough start to his season he's lowered his ERA to 3.65. Sewald is now a perfect seven for seven in save chances and has a 0.87 ERA.

Thompson had an adventurous eighth inning, that culminated in a pivotal moment. He gave up a leadoff hit and a two out walk. Torey Lovullo anticipated the injured Manny Machado might pinch hit, and sure enough, he came out of the dugout to face Thompson. The submariner got the third baseman to tap back to the mound to get out of it.

Corbin Carroll had three hits, all of them smoked. He scored the go ahead and winning run in the 7th inning after ripping a double off the foul pole in right. Ketel Marte's second hit of the night drove him home. Carroll did something tonight he hasn't been able to do all year, and he was straightforward about it after the game.

"I hit some balls up and in, so that was fun. I've been working real hard there... I need to do it a lot more, so lets keep rolling." With the three hits, Carroll raised his average to .201 and OPS to .575.

The D-backs got out to an early lead in the first. Carroll singled, stole second, and advanced to third on a throwing error by the catcher on the play. Two outs later Christian Walker doubled him home. Eugenio Suarez and Gabriel Moreno hit back to back homers off Padres starter Randy Vasquez in the second to stretch the lead to 3-0

Staked to that lead, Slade Cecconi played with fire through the first four innings. He had two on in the first, a runner on third in the second, a runner on second in the third, and two runners on in the fourth. Each time he wriggled off the hook.

He entered the 5th inning with 72 pitches and as we've seen so many times, his early inning 97 MPH fastball became 92-93. He gave up a leadoff homer to Kyle Higashioka on a 92 MPH fastball up and int that the Padres catcher yanked down the line just inside the foul pole.

Singles by Luis Aaraez and Fernando Tatis Jr. followed, and after a sacrifice bunt by Jurickson profar moved them up. D-backs killer Jake Cronenworth stepped up to the plate and Joe Mantiply came on in relief. It was a bloop double that scored two runs and tied the ballgame.

Cecconi's final line was 4.1 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 HR, 1 HBP. He threw 81 pitches, 54 for strikes. He gave up nine baserunners while recording nine outs. Of the 38 swings against him, he had just three WHIFFS. His max velocity was 97 and his minimum was 91.1

The season ERA by inning table for the young right-hander tells most of the story. If the D-backs ever get fully healthy in the rotation Cecconi could easily excel as a dominant short reliever. Whether he will ever be able to maintain his velocity and stuff beyond the third inning is a legitimate thing to question.

After the game Lovullo said of Cecconi's outing "He was really good early, and then he hits that little stage of the game where it starts to move a little quick for him, in my opinion. We're trying to help him slow it down... he makes pitches early and needs to be consistent throughout the entire outing."

Arizona Republicans want voter-backed border crackdown. Law enforcement say it's complicated

SAN LUIS — The day before a planned vote on a controversial immigration proposal, a group of Arizona Republican lawmakers chatted briefly with detained Latin American migrants.

The 11 Republican House members, three women and eight men, were accompanied on a trip to the border by several legislative staff members and an Arizona Republic reporter.

They spoke with detained migrants, watched as immigration officers processed them, and pitched local officials on their ballot measure. The Republicans continued their tour with a visit to Amberly's Place , a nonprofit chain that helps child and adult victims of sexual crimes and domestic violence. They also attended a briefing at the Yuma Regional Medical Center, whose executives told them the hospital spent $6 million last year on un-reimbursed migrant care. They ended the outing with a press conference.

"We think this bill is going to help everyone in the state of Arizona," said Rep. Teresa Martinez of Casa Grande.

The measure in question, House Concurrent Resolution 2060, passed the Senate on party lines last month and awaits approval Tuesday by the House.

It would ask voters in November to allow state and local police to act as border agents, locking up migrants who cross the international border any place except an official port of entry and give violators the option to self-deport to their home countries — but only if the courts uphold a similar Texas law that's currently suspended. The Arizona resolution also would beef up penalties for fentanyl sales involving death and fraudulent attempts by undocumented immigrants to obtain public benefits.

Democrats and Latino activists have steadfastly opposed the proposed ballot measure, painting it as racist and ripe for civil rights abuses. But some of the most compelling criticism of the measure comes from the people who would be tasked with enforcing the law: Arizona's border police and sheriffs.

The problem, from their point of view, would be the lack of resources enabling their forces to arrest, investigate, prosecute, and incarcerate thousands of migrants. Some estimates put the measure's potential annual cost in the hundreds of millions of dollars. It would come during a period in which lawmakers and Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs are trying to make massive cuts in the state budget amid tax revenue shortfalls.

Without a large infusion of cash, the measure would "bankrupt the county," said Yuma County Sheriff Leon Wilmot, a Republican who indicated he supports the resolution.

"It's going to hurt every community throughout the state," he said.

Republicans promote resolution after border tour

The group was led by House Speaker and Congressional candidate Ben Toma of Glendale and Yuma County Supervisor Jonathan Lines, a former state GOP chair. Also included were House Majority Leader Leo Biasiucci of Lake Havasu City, Rep. Gail Griffin of Hereford, Yuma-area Reps. Michele Peña and Tim Dunn, among others. Toma said all House members were invited and he was "disappointed" no Democrats accepted his invitation.

The lawmakers came upon a group of migrants being processed by Border Patrol agents at about 3:30 a.m. on a canal road near a vast lettuce farm and the Colorado River. The group of roughly 40 migrants was illuminated by the headlights of two Border Patrol trucks. They said they had been dropped off by vehicles on the Mexican side of the river.

The agents interviewed each migrant individually after separating single men from women and families. One man held a crying toddler. A man from Peru said he'd been traveling for about two weeks before arriving. A few migrants from Colombia and Paraguay told the lawmakers they came to the United States because they were members of the LGBTQ+ community and faced violence and discrimination in their country.

In the United States, "we can both be free," Jose Miller Fuentes of Bogota told The Republic of he and his partner.

State Rep. Michele Peña, a Spanish-speaking Republican who lives in the nearby city of Yuma, said she found that suspicious and added it sounded like the migrants had been "coached" on what to say to make an initial asylum claim.

"This is all bulls---," Rep. John Gillette of Kingman, a member of the conservative Arizona Freedom Caucus, said of the Border Patrol's method of documenting migrants before releasing them into the country. He wondered aloud why Biden administration officials don't simply shut down the border until they get it under control.

After border officials attempt to identify self-surrendered migrants, most are given court dates before the state and nonprofit agencies pay for their transportation out of state. Lines said while migrant traffic into Yuma has slowed in recent months, border officials in San Diego and elsewhere have been transporting hundreds of migrants to Yuma for processing.

Grabbing a few hours of sleep after the tour ended, Toma, Dunn and Rep. Quang Nguyen of Prescott Valley touted and defended the resolution before the Yuma County Board of Supervisors.

"It's not a racial profiling bill," Dunn told the five-member panel.

Police in border areas already detain migrants when necessary

Republicans in Arizona have expressed strong concern about the potential danger of allowing too many unvetted migrants into the country, and the inhumane treatment of migrants during their grueling passages by cartel operatives and other criminals.

Wilmot, the Yuma County sheriff, remains wary of the price tag he could be stuck with.

He presented a spreadsheet to lawmakers Monday showing the federal government has reimbursed Arizona's county sheriff offices for only a fraction of the cost to jail apprehended undocumented immigrants from 2009 to 2019. In the last reported year, the state's 15 counties requested a total of $19 million in reimbursement, but the chart showed the federal government sent only $1.3 million.

Enforcing House Concurrent Resolution 2060 could incur similar unreimbursed expenses, he said.

"I get their frustration," Wilmot said of Republican lawmakers' desire to step up immigration enforcement by the state in the absence of robust federal border control. "But what happens when the prison is full?"

Wilmot's office and other border authorities around the state already detain migrants they suspect of having illegally crossed the border, but must swiftly turn them over to federal authorities. They also help the Border Patrol through Operation Stonegarden, which pays overtime to local law enforcement officers who assist the federal agency, often by driving Border Patrol vehicles.

Wilmot said he appreciates that the resolution would remove liability from his deputies for enforcing the law, should voters approve it. Otherwise, he said, "they could sue you civilly for kidnapping."

Yuma Police Chief Thomas Garrity, who met the Republicans at Amberly's Place, told The Republic he might have to "double the police force" to try to enforce the resolution and said he was wary about its "unfunded mandate."

"If we don't have the funds to do it, what good is it?" he said. He said he's taking no official position on the resolution, but mentioned how previous attempts to have police act as immigration officials have led to mistrust between officers and the immigrant community.

Republican leaders have insisted the proposed law, if enforced, would lead to massive savings as the state spent less money on migrant crime and welfare services. Yet the state's budget shortfall and resistance by the governor would make it tough for Republicans to put money into the program if voters approve it.

"Price doesn't matter," Biasiucci said, adding that lawmakers could dip into the emergency pool of money known as the rainy day fund or cut other programs.

Nigel Reynoso, chief of the San Luis Department, made a similar point after he joined Democratic opponents of the resolution in a news conference condemning it last month.

Only three officers typically patrol the small border town on any given day, he said, and they will stop and detain anyone they see hopping over the fence until Border Patrol relieves them of the responsibility. They also arrest border crossers who are smuggling drugs or are suspected of committing other state crimes.

"We absorb the impact and that burden," he said of the migrant arrests. If the resolution becomes law, his officers would need to complete all the steps, booking the migrants into jail and doing all the paperwork while county prosecutors and courts stepped in for their parts.

"We're still going to have immigration and drugs," Reynoso told The Republic. "We're not fixing the problem."

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, a Democrat, also criticized the lack of funding that enforcing the resolution would need. But even if the Republican-controlled Legislature granted him abundant funding to enforce the resolution, he said: "In my heart, I would say that's wrong."

"It's not the sheriff's responsibility," Nanos said. "The border belongs to the federal government."
