The Breeders, PinkPantheress, Chappell Roan, and Remi Wolf to Join on Select Dates

Registration for access to tickets is open now through sunday, september 17 at 10 pm on oliviarodrigo.com .

Today, multi-platinum, three-time Grammy award-winning artist Olivia Rodrigo announced her highly anticipated GUTS world tour in support of her second studio album, GUTS , which was released September 8 via Geffen Records to critical acclaim. Produced by Live Nation, the massive global 2024 tour kicks off its 57-date run on Friday, February 23 in Palm Springs, CA at Acrisure Arena, with stops across North America and Europe, including Miami, Toronto, New York, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and many more before wrapping up with back-to-back shows on Tuesday, August 13 and Wednesday, August 14 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The Breeders, PinkPantheress, Chappell Roan, and Remi Wolf will join on select dates across the tour.

Following the incredible success of her 2022 debut tour The SOUR Tour, the GUTS world tour will be Olivia’s first arena tour, taking her to iconic venues around the world including Madison Square Garden, Kia Forum, Sportpaleis, The O2 and more. During this run, she will be performing multiple nights in various cities, including two nights in New York, Los Angeles, and London.

One of the most highly awaited albums of the year, GUTS arrived as the follow-up to Rodrigo’s 4x Platinum 2021 full-length debut SOUR and features her No. 1 hit “vampire” and the new focus track “get him back!” Like “vampire,” GUTS ’ second single “bad idea, right?” was named a Best New Track by Pitchfork , who hailed the latter as “one of the best pop performances of the year.” Released last month alongside its B-movie-inspired video , “bad idea right?” also drew raves from the likes of Rolling Stone (who called it a “sugary headbanger”) and the New York Times (who praised the track as a “bright, kaleidoscopic head-rush of a pop song…” in its weekly column “The Playlist”).

Critical Acclaim for GUTS:

“Rodrigo is a songwriter of rather astonishing purity — even in her most stylized lyrics, she never wanders far from the unformed gut-kick of a feeling.” – The New York Times

“… Guts is another instant classic, with her most ambitious, intimate, and messy songs yet. Olivia’s pop-punk bangers are full of killer lines” – Rolling Stone

“Guts is a no-skip album”  – USA Today

“All over Guts, she’s so witty, so pissed off, so angsty at the same time, the way only a rock star can be. And this is the album of a truly brilliant rock star.” – Rolling Stone

“With Guts, Rodrigo has released the most complete pop album of the year.”–  Billboard

About Olivia Rodrigo

After shattering records with her chart-topping, 4x Platinum debut album SOUR – the fastest album in history to have all of its songs certified RIAA Platinum or higher – Olivia Rodrigo makes a monumental return with her new album GUTS , revealing newly heightened sophistication as a vocalist and lyricist. Produced by and co-written with Daniel Nigro (her main creative partner on SOUR ), each song intensifies the emotional honesty that’s always imbued her storytelling. Rodrigo expands her expressive palette, uncovering entirely new dimensions of her artistry, as exemplified by lead single “vampire.”

Hailed by Pitchfork as the “Best New Track” upon release, “vampire”debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, set the Spotify record for the biggest debut for a solo song in 2023, and ultimately shot to No. 1 at Top 40 Radio. Most recently, “vampire” reached the No. 1 spot on the UK Official Singles Chart — a turn of events that made Rodrigo the female artist with the most No. 1 singles in the UK this decade. “vampire” amassed over 100 million combined streams in its first week and charted at No. 1 in Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. The 20-year-old is the youngest artist in Hot 100 history to debut three hits at No. 1.

Named the #1 Album of 2021 by Rolling Stone and hailed as one of the Best Albums of 2021 by The New York Times , among others, SOUR is now 4x Platinum in the U.S. and has sold over 17.9 million global album adjusted units with over 42 billion streams worldwide. Each of the album’s 11 tracks landed in the top 30 of Billboard’s Hot 100, making Rodrigo the first female artist to simultaneously chart 11 or more songs in the top 30.

She received seven GRAMMY® Award nominations—including nods in each of the Big Four categories—and took home awards for Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 64th GRAMMY® Awards. Rodrigo was named New Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards, Woman of the Year at Billboard’s 2022 Women in Music Awards and Songwriter of the Year at both the ASCAP Pop Music Awards and Variety Hitmakers.

Olivia Rodrigo Adds 18 New Dates to ‘Guts’ World Tour

Olivia Rodrigo at the 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Red Carpet held at the Microsoft Theatre on November 5, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.

After announcing the “ Guts ” world tour, the second trek of Olivia Rodrgo’s fast-rising career, the pop singer has now extended the lineup, adding 18 more concerts for a total of 75 shows.

The additions include a third and fourth show in New York, London and Los Angeles, as well as second shows in Chicago, Montreal, Dublin, Amsterdam, Paris, San Francisco and more. The tour launches in California in February and stretches across North America for six weeks before moving to Europe, then returns to North America in May before concluding in Rodrigo’s home of Los Angeles on the newly added date of August 17.

Popular on Variety

Rodrigo performed “Vampire” and “Get Him Back!” at MTV’s Video Music Awards on Tuesday night, following Lil Wayne as the second performer of the evening. It was her second-ever appearance at the show as Rodrigo made her VMAs debut in 2021 when she performed her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Good 4 U.”

“Guts” was released to high acclaim on Sept. 8 via Geffen Records and was preceded by two top 10 singles, “Vampire” and “Bad Idea Right?” “Vampire” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Rodrigo the youngest artist to debut three No. 1 hits on the chart behind “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U.”

“I think there’s a lot of fun songs,” she said. “I wrote the album with a tour in mind, so I think they’re all songs I wanted people to be able to scream in a crowd. Hopefully, that’s what’s achieved.” A similar teaser — in the form of a faux ticket advertising “ Olivia Rodrigo : Guts The World Tour” — appeared in a lyric video for “Making the Bed,” the sixth track off “Guts.”

Rodrigo last toured North America and Europe in support of her debut album “Sour” in 2022. It started on April 5 in Portland and ended on July 7 in London. Gracie Abrams, Holly Humberstone, Chappell Roan and Baby Queen served as opening acts.

Olivia Rodrigo Announces 2024 'Guts' World Tour Dates

The 57-date world tour will feature The Breeders, PinkPantheress, and more as opening acts

guts tour new dates

Larissa Hofmann

Good news for  Olivia Rodrigo fans — she's hitting the road.

On Wednesday, the pop singer revealed she'll be embarking on a Guts World Tour in 2024, in support of her critically acclaimed sophomore album Guts .

"soooo excited to announce the GUTS world tour!!!! register for ticket access at oliviarodrigo.com and stay tuned for more dates coming soon!!! ❤️💗💜💙," she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the tour poster, which features her screaming colorful stars.

Produced by Live Nation, The Guts World Tour will kick off its 57-date run on Friday, Feb. 23 in Palm Springs, CA at Acrisure Arena, with shows across North America and Europe, including New York, Miami, Toronto, London, Paris, and many more before wrapping up in Rodrigo's home of Los Angeles with back-to-back concerts on Tuesday, Aug. 13 and Wed. Aug. 14 at the Kia Forum.

The pop star has also enlisted The Breeders, PinkPantheress, Chappell Roan and Remi Wolf as opening acts throughout the tour.

Pre-sale tickets will be available on Ticketmaster Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. ET. Register  here  by Sept. 17 at 10 p.m. ET for the chance to access a code for tickets.

Last night, Rodrigo was the second musician to perform at the 2023 MTV VMAs , where she sang  Guts ' lead single "Vampire" before a faux pyrotechnics glitch — a nod to the music video for the track — cut to the singer transitioning to Rodrigo rocking out to her new song "Get Him Back!"

Last night's VMAs marked her second-ever appearance at the award show. In 2021, the "Drivers License" singer made her VMAs debut when she took the stage to play her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Good 4 U."

Rodrigo recently spoke to PEOPLE about how excited she was to see which tracks “people gravitate towards” on Guts .

“I owe so much to my fans,” she said. “When you're making the record, you always have your favorite song, and my producer has his favorite song and the label has their favorite song, but sometimes you don't really know which songs people are going to choose as their favorite until it comes out. So I'm really anxious to see what people like the most," she said.

When asked about her favorite songs, she said that "it changes with her mood."

"I really love ‘All-American Bitch.’ I really love ‘Teenage Dream.’ I really love ‘Love Is Embarrassing,’” she revealed. “It just depends on if I’m feeling in a dancey mood or a rage-y mood. But I’m very excited for this album to come out. It’s been a long time in the making, so it’s going to feel good," she added.

Olivia Rodrigo is keeping her promise. Days after announcing her Guts World Tour, the pop star revealed that more dates are coming in support of her sophomore album, just like she had teased.

Olivia Rodrigo Is Taking Her ‘Guts’ on a World Tour: Here Are the Dates

“My GUTS world tour just added 18 new dates!” the 20-year-old shared in social media posts on Friday (Sept. 15).

Registration for tickets is open until Sunday (Sept. 17) on her website and Ticketmaster.com . Fans who have already registered will be able to update their show preferences to one of the new dates if they wish.

Can Olivia Rodrigo Hook Up Fans With $20 Tickets Without Scalpers Getting In the Way?

Her initial concert announcement revealed that Rodrigo is offering some tickets at just $20 plus taxes and fees as part of the new Silver Star program. These limited tickets will be made available at a later date, and are required to be purchased in pairs, with a two-ticket maximum per purchase. Fans won’t know where these seats are until they pick up the tickets at the box office the day of the show.

Proceeds from each ticket for the Guts World Tour will also go to her new Fund 4 Good initiate, which will support community non-profits that work toward girls’ education, reproductive rights and prevent gender-based violence.

In a release shared with The Times on Friday morning, Live Nation said new dates were added “due to incredible fan demand.” Rodrigo also shared the news on Instagram .

Olivia Rodrigo's "Guts" Tour Adds 18 New Dates — What Else to Know

NEWARK, NEW JERSEY - SEPTEMBER 12: Olivia Rodrigo performs onstage the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards at Prudential Center on September 12, 2023 in Newark, New Jersey. (Photo by Theo Wargo/Getty Images for MTV)

Olivia Rodrigo is officially taking "Guts" on the road. The 20-year-old star released her sophomore album on Sept. 8 , and on Sept. 13, she announced a world tour in support of the project. "soooo excited to announce the GUTS world tour!!!! register for ticket access at http://oliviarodrigo.com and stay tuned for more dates coming soon!!!❤️💗💜💙," Rodrigo wrote in an announcement on Twitter . On Sept. 15, by popular demand, Rodrigo announced 18 additional dates for the tour, which will kick off in February 2024 and run until August.

Rodrigo's tour news comes the day after she performed "Guts" songs "Vampire" and "Get Him Back!" at the VMAs , during which she surprised some of the crowd with a fake technical glitch that imitated the former song's music video. Rodrigo was also nominated for five awards at the show , including video of the year, best cinematography, and best editing, and won the latter category. On the day of the VMAs, she also released an attitude-filled music video for "Get Him Back!"

" Guts " arrives two years after Rodrigo's acclaimed debut album, "Sour," which included the monster hit "Drivers License." Ahead, here's everything we know about her "Guts" world tour, including how to score tickets.

guts tour new dates

Update: 9.19.23

Registration for Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS world tour is now closed.

There has been massive fan demand for Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS world tour, and even after the tour added 20 additional dates to meet the demand, there are still more fans who registered than there are tickets available. Due to demand, a limited number of fans will get access to the sale based on ticket availability and the majority of fans will be placed on the waitlist.

Every effort is made to give fans who are invited an opportunity to shop. If any tickets remain after the initial group of fans are given the opportunity to shop, we will begin moving additional fans off of the waitlist and inviting them to shop the sale.

Key Dates To Know

  • Registration for American Express® Early Access and the Registration Onsale closed on Sunday, September 17 at 10 pm ET .
  • Invitations for American Express® Early Access will be sent by the evening of Tuesday, September 19 .
  • American Express® Early Access to see Olivia Rodrigo takes place on Wednesday, September 20.
  • Invitations for the Registration Onsale will be sent by the evening of Wednesday, September 20 .
  • The Registration Onsale takes place on Thursday, September 21 .

Registration does not, however, guarantee that every fan will get access to the sale. We expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available. A limited number of randomly selected fans will get access to the sale, and others will be put on the waitlist. Getting access to the sale doesn’t guarantee tickets. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

How do I register for Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS world tour?

Registration is now closed.

Please remember: This sale can only be accessed by the randomly selected individuals who registered and received a unique access code.

Registering does not guarantee you’ll get a code, and receiving a code does not guarantee you will get a ticket.

If you were waitlisted you may still be invited to future opportunities if tickets remain.

Common Questions

What happens if i’m on the waiting list.

There are often far more fans registered than there are tickets available, and in that case the majority of  fans are placed on the waitlist.

Sometimes, if tickets remain, additional fans may be randomly selected from the waitlist for future ticketing opportunities .

How will I know if I move off the waitlist?

Should additional tickets be available, fans may be randomly selected to move off the waitlist .

I got an email saying I’m on the waitlist, what does that mean?

When demand exceeds availability, random selection will determine which registered fans receive a unique access code and which are put on the waitlist.

If you’re currently on the waitlist, stay tuned — you may still have a chance to shop for tickets .

What’s the difference between American Express® Early Access and the Registration Onsale?

Registration for American Express Early Access is limited to American Express Card Members only. An American Express Card is required to proceed with the registration. Card Members will be prompted to sign in with their Ticketmaster account to continue and confirm their Card Member status. If you don’t have your American Express Card on file, you will be able to add it during the registration process. Anyone who is not an American Express Card Member can register for the registration onsale.

I received a confirmation email, what does that mean?

This email is to confirm your details and that we successfully received your registration. Please note that your confirmation email is not an invitation to shop. Once we get closer to the sales, you’ll receive an email with additional information about your invitation status.

Does registering mean I will get an invitation to purchase tickets?

No, registering does not guarantee that you will be selected for the chance to purchase tickets during the sales. Due to the limited quantity of tickets available, if demand for tickets exceeds supply, registered fans may be selected at random to participate in the sales.

Does receiving an invitation mean I will get tickets?

Receiving an invitation means that you’ll have the opportunity to shop for tickets. However, the ability to purchase tickets is determined by supply and demand, and is not guaranteed. Tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

If I am selected to shop for tickets, will I be able to buy for more than one show?

If you are selected to participate in one of the sales, you will receive a unique text message for each show you have been invited to shop for. Please follow the instructions included in each text message to shop for your respective show(s).

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, September 21 . Only those who were sent a link and unique code will be able to access the waiting room and queue. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

How do I access the ticket sale once I get a unique access code?

If you’ve received a sale link and unique access code, follow these steps:

  • Using the link provided to you via text, you can join the Waiting Room up to 30 minutes prior to your sale opening.
  • Sign in to your Ticketmaster account with the same email and password used for your registration — this is used to confirm you have access to the sale. Only those who were sent a link and unique code will be able to access the waiting room and queue.
  • When the sale opens, you will be placed in a virtual line.
  • Once it’s your turn, enter your access code exactly as it appears, and join the sale.

Remember: Access to the ticket sale does not guarantee you will be able to purchase tickets.

Why do I see tickets for sale before the Amex Early Access sale has even happened?

Many unofficial sellers will list tickets before they even go on sale. This practice is called speculative listing and fans should not trust resellers claiming to have tickets. Those speculative listings are not real tickets in hand. Beware of these sellers. Learn more about spec tickets here.

When should I expect my access code?

If you are selected to receive an access code, you will receive a code via SMS the evening before the ticket sales begins. This message will include information on when the sale starts, a salelink, and your unique, non-transferrable access code.

Can I share my access code with my friends or family?

No. Your access code is unique to your account, and for this reason, you cannot share your code with friends or family. Do not trust anyone selling an access code , as codes cannot be purchased or transferred .

Tickets have gone on sale, I registered and never received my access code?

Registering does not guarantee you will receive a n access code nor that you will have the ability to purchase tickets. Please note, we expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Why didn’t my access code work?

Please make sure you entered the correct code and have not exceeded the ticket limit. Due to demand, all events have a ticket limit to allow more fans like you to get tickets.

There are often far more fans registered than there are tickets available, and in that case more fans placed on the waitlist than randomly selected for access.

Sometimes, if there are tickets available, additional fans will be randomly selected from the waitlist for access and receive an email with a unique access code and purchase link. Keep in mind, your notification may come at any time after tickets originally went on sale.

Should additional tickets become available, a select number of registered fans may be randomly selected to move off the waitlist. If this happens, you will be notified via text message.

If I was selected for American Express® Early Access, do I need to use an American Express Card to purchase tickets?

Yes, all tickets options available during American Express Early Access will require an active American Express Card to successfully complete your purchase.

Can I change or update my American Express Card to a different one after I register?

Yes, you may change or update your American Express Card between registering and purchasing tickets. An active American Express Card is required for both though, so please always ensure your Payment Options are up-to-date in your Ticketmaster account.

How much will tickets cost?

Standard tickets will range from $49.50 – $199.50 plus taxes and applicable fees in the U.S. Additional ticket options including a limited number of Charity Platinum and VIP packages will be available for purchase as well, with a portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales going to Olivia Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good.

If my parent uses their credit card to buy tickets for me, do they need to attend the show and bring their card?

No. The tickets will be in the Ticketmaster account holder’s account. (Remember, receiving a code does not guarantee tickets.)

What To Expect From Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS Tour

The 2024 trek will mark her first arena tour — but it may not be easier to get tickets.

Olivia Rodrigo's 2024 Guts Tour: Dates, Tickets, & Everything To Know

Olivia Rodrigo is spilling her GUTS in a town near you. On Sept. 13, fresh off her performance at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards , the Grammy winner announced the GUTS World Tour to promote her new sophomore album of the same name. The worldwide 2024 trek marks her first arena tour and will see her play in iconic venues like New York’s Madison Square Garden for the first time.

The GUTS World Tour will kick off on Feb. 23 in Palm Springs, Calif., with Rodrigo set to play shows across North America, the UK, and Europe, before circling back to California and ending the trek in Los Angeles. But on Sept. 15, Rodrigo added 18 new dates due to high demand, bringing her total to 75 shows across the two continents, with the singer promising “more dates in many countries yet to come!!!” PinkPantheress, Remi Wolf, The Breeders, and Chappell Roan will all serve as opening acts for different portions of the tour.

Rodrigo’s first headlining trek, the 2022 Sour Tour , played theaters around the U.S. and Europe and sold out in mere seconds, on the heels of her breakout singles “drivers license” and “good 4 u.” Now that she’s made the upgrade to arenas, it’ll be much easier to see her this time around — but snagging tickets will still be a complicated ordeal (hopefully not as bad as the Eras Tour ). Read on for the full list of tour dates and how to get tickets.

Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour Tickets

For GUTS Tour dates in the U.S. and Canada, fans must register to buy tickets for their preferred show using their Ticketmaster account. Buyers may register for the general sale and the American Express cardholders’ presale, with registration for both closing on Sept. 17 at 10 p.m. ET. Ticket sales for international dates will vary by country, with more information available on Rodrigo’s website .

Fans who are granted access to the American Express sale will be notified on Sept. 19, with the sale taking place the next day at 3 p.m. local time. Fans who are selected for the general sale, which takes place on Sept. 21, will receive a code the night before. However, not all people who register for the ticket sales will be given codes, and getting one doesn’t guarantee that you’ll secure tickets.

According to Ticketmaster, GUTS Tour tickets will range in price from $50 to $200, not including fees and taxes. A limited number of VIP packages and Charity Platinum tickets will also be available, with proceeds going to Rodrigo’s new Fund 4 Good initiative. Additionally, Rodrigo is setting aside an unknown limited amount of Silver Star Tickets that will only cost $20 each, “to make it as easy and affordable as possible for her fans to make it out to her shows.” These tickets must be bought in pairs and will be available at a later date.

This post will be updated as more details are announced.

Why Didn’t Taylor Swift, Blake Lively, Rihanna, and More Attend Met Gala 2024?

guts tour new dates

By Kaitlyn McNab

Taylor Swift

Did you notice a few of your faves were missing from the Met Gala 2024 red carpet? Namely, superstars like Taylor Swift , Rihanna , Blake Lively, Billie Eilish, and well, many more.

This year's gala was skipped by quite a few A-listers and Met favorites, and their reasons for not attending the ball are super diverse: there's a golfing injury, the flu, working late 'cause they are singers , and, of course, travel and tour schedules.

With these celebs in such high demand, it makes sense that there are some years they have to miss one of the most exclusive parties in the world. I mean, hell, even 2024 co-chair Zendaya took five years off from the event. But we can't help but express our sadness that they weren't present to turn a show-stopping look .

To find out why so many stars chose not to sow their seeds in The Garden of Time , check out a list of the usual, ol' reliable Met suspects who did not attend this year's gala below:

Taylor Swift (and Travis Kelce)

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has not attended the Met Gala since 2016, when the theme was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology. Fans speculated whether Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who together have become a kind of celebrity supercell in their own right, would attend this year's ball together. In March, TMZ reported that Kelce declined his invite (it would be his first time in attendance) and noted that the couple wouldn't “make their big debut at the Met Gala because they're passing on soaking up the spotlight at fashion's biggest night.” Fans still held out hope that Swift would pull another Super Bowl-esque jet trip , but, per People , it seems as though she was too busy preparing for the European leg of the Eras Tour, which begins on May 9 in Paris.

Blake Lively

Blake Lively

Blake Lively famously co-chaired the Met Gala in 2022, when the theme was In America: An Anthology of Fashion. Anticipation for Lively's take on the 2024 theme was high after the actress stunned at a party celebrating Pharrell Williams's new collection at Tiffany & Co.'s flagship store in New York the week prior. But according to Elle , this year, Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds skipped the ball to stay at home with their kids. The couple also opted out of last year's festivities ; Lively joked that she would be watching from home, wearing her Statue of Liberty-inspired gown on her couch.

Rihanna (and A$AP Rocky)

Rihanna

Rihanna is known to close out the Met Gala every year by being the last guest to arrive and walk the carpet, wearing the most extravagant and on-theme look of the night. The crown jewel of the best dressed list was forced to skip the gala this year, however, after contracting the flu . The singer and beauty mogul was spotted parading through Miami with pink hair this past weekend while attending the F1 Grand Prix, where her partner A$AP Rocky launched his Puma collection with a pop-up shop. Just last week while talking to Extra , Rih teased that her 2024 Met Gala look was going to be “real simple" and confirmed that she was going to arrive on time to attend the dinner. Get well soon, RiRi.

Beyonc

Like T-Swift, Beyoncé has stayed away from the Met Gala since 2016 . Many believed 2024 could be the year of the Met Gala return for Bey, as the star has been notably active on social media and making more press appearances than usual after the launch of her haircare line Cécred and the release of her eighth studio album Cowboy Carter . But it looks like the Sleeping Beauties theme wasn't enough to reawaken Beyoncé's presence at the annual event. Maybe 2025?

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish has made her mark on the Met Gala, and her attendance at the 2024 ball would have been her fourth time walking the carpet. But Eilish was notably absent this year — instead of getting dressed up with her brother Finneas, the singer posted on her Instagram Stories that she spent Met Monday autographing vinyl copies of her upcoming album Hit Me Hard and Soft , which arrives on May 17. Last Monday, Eilish announced the dates for her next world tour of the album.

Tom Holland

Tom Holland

Fans tried their hardest to manifest Mr. Zendaya joining his co-chair girlfriend at the 2024 Met Gala… sadly to no avail. The Romeo + Juliet and Spider-Man star did not attend due to an unfortunate golf injury with the bruise to prove it, but still made sure to show his support for Zendaya on Instagram after the red carpet closed. ( Read more about Tom Holland's absence from this year's Met Gala here . )

Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton

Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan

Bridgerton stars Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton were also absent from this year's red carpet. Coughlan's last time attending the Met Gala was in 2022; it's unclear whether Newton was invited, but this would have been his debut year. However, the April Teen Vogue cover star and her season 3 costar are headed to Italy on May 8 to promote Bridgerton ahead of its May 16 release date.

BLACKPINK's Rosé

Rose of Blackpink

Rosé had BLINKs excited after the star spent the days leading up to the 2024 Met Gala in New York City with Jennie, but turns out she was only in town for brand events. Rosé took to Instagram Stories the day before the Met to share that she was leaving NYC. In 2021, Rosé made history as the first female K-pop idol to attend the Met Gala.

Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Rodrigo

Since her debut in 2021, Olivia Rodrigo has shaken up the Met Gala for three consecutive years . But good things clearly only come in threes, as the “Obsessed” singer was not in attendance at the Met on May 6. She had a very good reason, though: the singer is scheduled to play two back-to-back dates on her Guts World Tour in Glasgow, Scotland on May 7 and 8. We missed you, Livvie!

Katy Perry

Many were fooled on Monday evening by the viral AI-generated images of Katy Perry (and Dua Lipa, and Rihanna…) on the 2024 Met Gala carpet — including the singer's own mom — but the American Idol judge took the time to publicly confirm that she would not be in attendance . “Couldn’t make it to the MET, had to work,” Perry captioned a post to Instagram that included multiple fake photos, a screenshot of her mom's stunned text message, and a fan waiting outside of the museum. The last video in the carousel, however, revealed what Perry was up to instead: she was in the recording booth cooking up new music.

Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya TaylorJoy

The last time Dune 2 star Anya Taylor-Joy attended the Met Gala was in 2018 when the theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination. The actress skipped this year's ball due to other commitments — she's currently on her worldwide press tour for her upcoming film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga . And somehow, she still managed to be perfectly on theme with this year's Met Gala dress code. (See more here .)

Taylor Swift is about to go back on tour: Here's what to expect on the Eras Tour in Paris

guts tour new dates

After a two-month break, Taylor Swift is revitalizing her titanic Eras Tour in Paris, and fans believe there are changes coming to the show.

If you are wondering where she's playing, if there will be changes and how to score tickets, here's everything we know.

And if you're new to the Eras Tour party, you can get caught up on the first 83 shows here .

When does the Eras Tour start again?

Swift kicks off the European leg of her tour on Thursday, May 9, in Paris. She will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, as well, in the City of Light.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

What are Taylor Swift's tour dates in Europe?

There are 69 shows left in the Eras Tour: 51 in Europe, nine in America and nine in Canada.

The European leg stretches from May all the way through a five-night stand at Wembley Stadium in London in mid-August.

See a complete list of international dates here .

After she wraps up in Europe, Swift will stop in Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis before wrapping up in Canada.

See the remaining U.S. dates here .

What is the Eras Tour set list?

The Eras Tour has featured a massive 45-song set list you can check out here . But speculation is swirling it won't look the same when Swift takes the stage in Paris.

Will Taylor Swift add 'The Tortured Poets Department' to her set list?

The tortured poet has been on hiatus keeping her stamina up by releasing a double album of 31 tracks. The 2-hours-and-2-minutes project broke a number of Billboard records as the superstar did zero press to promote it. Fans flocked to stores and streaming services to listen to all the songs from "Fortnight" to "The Manuscript."

Although the singer has not confirmed whether her 11th era album will be added to her Eras Tour set list, she did post a YouTube shorts video with two scenes that sent Easter egg decoders into a frenzy. In one of the shots, the singer is next to a railing where a "TTPD" logo appears to be (at 0:11). In the succeeding shot, her back-up dancers perform holding canes and wearing top hats, something they have not worn previously.

Swift's dancers and bandmates posted to their Instagram stories as they left for France last week. The singer did not appear at two media events with her boyfriend Travis Kelce: the Kentucky Derby and a Formula 1 race in Miami , Florida. Patrick Mahomes, Kelce's friend and Kansas City's quarterback, attended the car racing spectacular with his wife, Brittany.

Can I still get Eras Tour tickets?

Swift's show is completely sold out in Europe and North America. There are resale sites with tickets, but be wary of scams. The best way to avoid getting swindled is continuously checking links on Swift's website . There are some for resale on the sites verified by her camp.

Singapore was a hotbed for fans who traveled thousands of miles only to get turned away at the venue. In Tokyo and Australia, last-minute ticket drops happened a few days — without announcement — ahead of the shows.

Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis — the three U.S. cities Swift is visiting in the fall — have some of the heftiest price tags with Canada closely behind. In may be cheaper to travel to Warsaw, Poland, or Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Here's a list of cities with the cheapest resale tickets, according to travel website  Islands.com .

10. Vienna, Austria — total average cost: $1,089, safety score: 69.72

9. Cardiff, U.K. — total average cost: $1,061, safety score: 61.83

8. Lyon, France — total average cost: $1,047, safety score: 44.3

7. Lisbon, Portugal — total average cost: $1,028, safety score: 70.15

6. Munich, Germany — total average cost: $1,000, safety score: 78.88

5. Paris, France — total average cost: $971, safety score: 41.83

4. Stockholm, Sweden — total average cost: $935, safety score: 53.86

3. Hamburg, Germany — total average cost: $903, safety score: 57.51

2. Gelsenkirchen, Germany — total average cost: $749, safety score: 51.33

1. Warsaw, Poland — total average cost: $712, safety score: 72.98

Who are the opening acts?

Paramore launched the Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona, in March 2023, so it's fitting the American rock band is opening the tour's second year. The act will open for Swift for 51 shows across Europe . The band was dubbed the 2024 Record Store Day global ambassador and surprised fans in Nashville the weekend following the release of "The Tortured Poets Department."

When the tour comes back to North America in October , Swift's opening act will be Gracie Abrams.

Where can I watch if I don't have tickets?

The Eras Tour is one of the first tours that has been followed, globally, by thousands of fans on digital platforms. Fans dedicate part of their concert experience to livestreaming as Swift performs. A few Swifties have learned how to host their own shows over social media including Tess Bohne , known as the livestream queen. Bohne goes live for (almost) every show pulling streams from Instagram and TikTok. When a livestream goes down, she fills the time with banter.

On YouTube, user @TaylorSwiftHockeyBro also livestreams the three-hour show, and on Twitch, @folkleric , is a host fans follow.

There is also an app, Swift Alert , that notifies fans who only want to watch certain eras like the acoustic, surprise set. The app sends out push alerts if there are any major announcements.

What secret songs are left?

For the past 83 shows, Swift has played an acoustic set she customizes at each stop with a guitar and piano performance. In 2024, the Eras Tour star added mashups of her songs for each stop. Here are the songs she has yet to perform:

  • "Taylor Swift" (debut album): "Mary's Song" and "A Perfectly Good Heart"
  • "Fearless": "The Way I Loved You," "Change," "Superstar," "We Were Happy," "That's When," "Don't You" and "Bye Bye Baby"
  • "Red": "Girl At Home," "Ronan," "Forever Winter" and "Run"
  • "1989": "Sweeter Than Fiction"
  • "Reputation": "I Did Something Bad"
  • "Lover": "London Boy," "Soon You'll Get Better" and "It's Nice to Have a Friend"
  • "Folklore": "Hoax"
  • "Evermore": "Happiness" and "Closure"
  • "Midnights": "Paris" and "Glitch"
  • "The Tortured Poets Department": all 31 tracks

Will Taylor Swift perform in 2025?

There have been many rumors that Swift will continue her show in 2025, but they are only rumors. Nothing has been announced for next year, and as of now, the tour will end in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Dec. 8.

Titled the ‘Utopia: Circus Maximus tour’, the new run of tour dates see the rapper head across the pond to celebrate the release of his record-breaking album ‘Utopia’ , and arrives on the heels of his sold-out run of shows across North America.

Set to take place across this summer, the dates kick off with an opening night at the GelreDome venue in Arnhem on June 28, before continuing throughout July with stops in Krakow (2), Zurich (4), Nice (6) and Antwerk (9).

From there, two UK shows are lined-up – one of which is set at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and will mark his largest UK headline show to date. The London show is scheduled for July 11, and will be followed by a stop at the new Co-Op Live arena in Manchester two nights later (July 23).

The shows wrap up with five more shows across Europe, including stops in Prague, Cologne, Milan and Hamburg. The last show of the tour will take place at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt on July 27.

Tickets will go on sale Friday (May 10) at 10am local time. Visit here to buy tickets and check out a full list of dates below.

Travis Scott performs at the Mercedes-Benz all new G-Class Los Angeles star-studded world premiere held at Franklin Canyon Park on April 23, 2024 in Beverly Hills, California.

‘Utopia’ arrived last year and soon became the biggest-selling hip-hop release of 2022 – spending four weeks at the top of the Billboard Top 200 and gathering over 50 billion streams globally. It was also named as the most streamed album in its first week in 2023 by Spotify, and Apple Music confirmed the biggest first-day streams of an album in 2023.

It was given a three-star review by NME , who described it as having a “lofty concept”, but “shaky execution”.

“By going back to the sound of his early work, Scott steps back into the gargantuan shadow of his mentor, Kanye West,” it read. “Whereas ‘Astroworld’ was the perfect theme for Scott’s music – we’re going to a theme park! – in trying to navigate a lofty concept like finding utopia, his ambitions have led him back to someone who was far more formidable at it.”

In more recent news, at the start of the year the rapper joined forces with Playboi Carti at the 2024 Grammys, coming together to deliver a destructive performance of ‘Fein’ .
