Geoff now has a string of top-level credits to his name including Have I Got News for You (BBC1), A League of Their Own (Sky One), The Last Leg (C4), Would I lie To You? (BBC1), Mock the Week (BBC2), Live at The Apollo (BBC2), Offended by Irvine Welsh (Sky Arts), The Mash Report (BBC2), 8 Out of 10 Cats (C4), The Duchess (Netflix) and Backstage with Katherine Ryan (Amazon). He also fronted his own documentary, How The Middle Classes Ruined Britain (BBC2) and has released three Radio 4 specials to date, one of which won 'Best Comedy' at BBC Radio & Music Awards. Geoff continues to be a feature in the world of political and social commentary, with regular appearances on TV with the likes of Question Time, Politics Live, All Out Politics. He has hosted a radio show for the first time in 2020, frequently deputising for Giles Coren on Times Radio as well as becoming a regular on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and The Now Show. TV writing credits include additional material for hit sitcom King Gary (BBC1), Have I Got News For You (BBC1), It’s Clarkson on TV (ITV), The Ranganation (BBC2) and many more. 2021 also saw Geoff releasing his first book, the memoir ‘Where Did I Go Right’, which has already garnered praise from comics including Romesh Ranganathan, Katherine Ryan & David Baddiel.

Whether it's the dire blandness of the two main parties or the shamelessly shoe-horned right-on messages in adverts and films, Geoff will continue to tread in areas much of comedy leaves well alone. But this time around he also has a mission. As well as casting his everyman eye over what's happening in wider society, Geoff is trying to unpick what's happening with your average bloke. Geoff Norcott is to tour the UK between 6th September 2023 and 27th April 2024 with the stand-up show Basic Bloke .

His promoters say: "For his sixth UK tour, Geoff Norcott will be trying to make sense of the current cultural and political scene with his playfully provocative brand of humour. Whether it's the dire blandness of the two main parties or the shamelessly shoe-horned right-on messages in adverts and films, Geoff will continue to delve into areas much of comedy leaves well alone. But this time around he also has a mission. As well as casting his everyman eye over what's happening in wider society, Geoff is trying to unpick what's happening with your average bloke. Remember them?

THE PERFORMANCE

Duration is approximately 2. hours, with a short intermission.

Photography/ Videography Phone cameras are allowed; however we ask that NO FLASH will be allowed as it distracts our performers. If you are a professional photographer and want to video/ shoot please send us an email prior to gain approval – [email protected]

CHILDRENS TICKETS

Under 3 are admitted free of charge, however they must remain seated on the adult’s lap. We charge for 3 - 14 years olds.

Prams & Capsules are not permitted into the seating. Our friendly Ushers will store them and they can be collected after the performance

We have Limited Accessible friendly spots available in our Tent, the location is dictated by safety requirements.

We REQUIRE 48 HOURS ADVANCE NOTICE for this seating to be available.

If extra seating is required the extra seating will be charged at the Pink, Yellow, or Blue seating depending on what is available at the time of booking. We will try to accommodate everyone as best as possible.

Tickets are sold or issued by TicketSearch which acts as an agent of Loritz Circus T/A The Great Moscow Circus Extreme.

Ticketing Returns & Refund Policy:

1. There is a Fee per transaction when purchasing online via TicketSearch and over the phone, this fee is Non-refundable .

2. All transactions are final at time of payment .  We can change times & dates of tickets with advance notice with a fee (As below), but No Refunds are given.

3. We are able to exchange tickets for another performance prior to ticketed date with a  $10.00 handling fee for 6 tickets as of 5th June 2023 , subject to availability, we are not able to pick seats. Any additional tickets will be charged $1 per ticket .

4. Prices are subject to changes at anytime without notice.

5. All ticketing sales that require accessible access area will have to purchase from the Ticket Office onsite minimum 48 hrs prior. This is to secure the limited accessible seating.

6. Children prices are from 3 yrs to 14 yrs inclusive. Children over 14 yrs are required to produce a student card at the entry to the tent for the concession price or will be charged the full adult price.

7. There will be limited tickets available at the ticket office one hour prior to each performances. Section GREEN (limited seating) they are located at the top of the seating on the side – Restricted view.

8. By clicking the " Finalise Order" button, you are agreeing to the above terms and conditions of sale, including the refunds and exchange sections. All orders are subject to the credit card approval and billing address verification.

9. No babies or children under the age of 3 are allowed to sit in the 1 st Row (RED SEATING) – If you have purchased tickets, we will need to relocate an adult and the child/ baby to a different location (based on what is available at the time)

10. If tickets are purchased online for companion card, we cannot refund the ticket price. All companion cards must be booked at onsite ticket office or via phone. 

10. Children MUST be accompanied by a paying adult or concession ticket ( Adult or concession to be over 15+) No Exceptions.

1. GIFT VOUCHERS cannot be redeemed for cash OR REFUNDED.

2. Any remaining amount left on Gift Voucher will be given in cash, this needs to be finalised on performance date customer has selected, otherwise remaining amount will be voided.

General Terms & Conditions

1. All tickets are not able to be resold in anyway without the prior written approval from our company. We reserve the right to not validate the ticket or tickets and we will deny admission to the circus and without any refund, given.

2. The LCTGMCE is not responsible for any of it's patrons actions or behaviour while at the circus.

3. Admittance to customers bearing tickets purchased online at a discounted price (such as student, pensioner, concession) will only be upon producing at the tent entry or to ticket office staff all relevant ID on the night of the performance. Failure to produce appropriate ID may result in the patrons being charged the full price for their tickets.

4. Latecomers will not be admitted until there is convenient break in the program and admission is at the discretion of the box office personnel on the night of the performance.

5. The right of admission is reserved by LCTGMCE staff at the venue. We don't allow cameras, video recorders, Ipads or tape recorders inside the tent, but you are able to take photos with a phone or take photos outside the circus tent.

6. LCTGMCE assumes no responsibility for any errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects in transmissions or line failures and reserves the right to add, withdraw or substitute artists and to vary the program should the need arise.

7. We reserve the right to change advertised artists, seating arrangements and capacity of seating. In the case of cancelling or rescheduling performances, all tickets will be transferred to the new times or dates.

8. ** Strobe lighting, loud motor noises and fumes, also effects, are used in the LCTGMCE performances ** .

9. Conditions of Entry are subject to Government and other regulatory legislation, health orders, directions and mandates that require compliance by law.

10. We are a family friendly environment and therefore we have a NO ALCOHOL policy - if you are found to have or consuming alcohol you may be asked to leave the premises.

The Bolshoi Theater in Moscow

The Moscow Bolshoi Theater is world-famous. Ballet fans around the world are familiar with its magnificent performances of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake or Nutcracker. The theater building is located not far from the Kremlin in the heart of the Russian capital. In addition to ballet performances, there are also regular concerts and operas in the Bolshoi.

On the way to the theater you can already see the beautiful classical facade from afar. In the building itself, the chandeliers glitter above you when you walk upstairs. The walls are covered in gold and the seats are upholstered in soft red velvet. Whoever enters the main hall of the famous Bolshoi Theater for the first time will be amazed.

The current building has been standing in its traditional spot in Moscow for a good 200 years, and since 2011, the Bolshoi has been renovated it in its old glory since 2011. More than 200 dancers are on the stage at one of the famous ballet performances.

The history of the Bolshoi

As early as the beginning of the 19th century, the Russian tsars admired the performances in the Bolshoi, the hustle and bustle, the music and dancers. But even when the tsarist rule in Russia ended a hundred years ago, the theater retained its place in the center of the cultural life of the Russian metropolis. The tradition of ballet performances was maintained even in Soviet times.

At first glance, the visitor doesn’t even realize how big this theater actually is. There are a number of different buildings that make up the complex. The main house has seven floors, and there are also five floors underground. More than 3,000 employees work in the Bolshoi Theater, but only about 200 of them are ballerinas and dancers.

Where is the Bolshoi Theater located?

Just a five-minute walk from the Kremlin, right next to the Russian State Duma Parliament, the Bolshoi is located in the middle of the capital of the Russian Federation. The Moscow Metro has its own “Teatralnaya” station (Theater station) right in front of the main entrance. Arriving by underground is also recommended – there are only a few parking spaces available to guests for performances.

Is there a special dress code?

If you want to visit the theater, there is no need to pay attention to any specific evening wear. However, a well-groomed appearance is very important. You can also go to the theater with a pair of jeans and a sweater, but you should feel “underdressed” compared to the rest of the audience.

Men with shorts are not allowed to go to the Theater. In general, make sure that your clothes are elegant and clean. Because if you go to a performance or a concert in the Bolshoi Theater, you should know that most viewers dress up for it, because the visit is a special event for most of the guests.

In the Bolshoi Theater, as in many other public places in Russia, a lot of emphasis is placed on security. When you visit the Theater, you have to go through a security check with metal detectors. Make sure that you do not carry any sharp objects with you. If this is the case, the access will be denied. In addition, all auditoriums have a video surveillance system. Umbrellas, larger bags etc. must be left in the cloakroom.

Don’t miss the third gong!

When the break is over, all viewers are made aware of this with a gong. It is important that you are back to your seat after the third gong. If you are late, you will have to spend the next act in the upper tier. It doesn’t matter whether you have a reservation for better seats.

Is it allowed to take photos or videos in the Bolshoi Theater?

The answer to that is clearly no! It is strictly forbidden to take videos or photos in the Bolshoi Theater. You are also not allowed to enter the room with a photo or video camera.

Are children also allowed to visit the Bolshoi Theater?

Children from 5 years of age can easily attend the day performances in the theater. However, if you want to attend an evening performance with your child, then the child must be at least 10 years old. By the way, you also have to buy an entrance ticket for children.

Where can I get tickets for the world-famous theater?

The Bolshoi Theater has a total of two stages, namely the new stage and the historic main stage. The sale of tickets for both stages begins three months before the concert. If you would like to visit the Beethoven Hall, you can purchase a ticket for a performance two months in advance. Tickets for a performance in the theater cost between 17,000 and 110,000 rubles, which is the equivalent of between 230 and 1,500 $.

You can only buy tickets for the theater with a valid identity card. You also have to show this ID when visiting the theater. It is also important to know that tickets that have already been purchased cannot be returned unless there is a change in the program.

Your roadmap to the ticket

With these steps you can easily and quickly purchase a ticket for a performance at the Bolshoi Theater:

• The first thing to do is to register on the official website:  http://tickets.bolshoi.ru
• Fill out the form and then submit it. Immediately afterwards you will receive an email with the username and password to access your user account.
• Then the page:  http://www.bolshoi.ru/en/timetable/  shows you the entire program. On this page you can find out whether electronic tickets are available. You will also be shown whether all tickets have already been sold out (Sold Out). Some tickets are not yet released for sale (coming soon).
• To buy an e-ticket, simply click on the desired performance and on “Buy e-Ticket”. You will then be redirected to a page that shows you where there are still tickets available. These places are marked with green.
• Your name will be required so that you can receive the cards. You can pay either by Mastercard or VISA.
• Then all you have to do is print out the ticket!

However, you should know that the tickets on these websites are more expensive than those on the official website.

There are also guided tours in the historic building. You can learn more about the architecture and history of the theater.

Guided tours can be done on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays. There is a tour in Russian and a tour in English. The tour of the Bolshoi Theater takes about an hour. Children can take a guided tour from the age of 14.

The tours start at 11:00 am and 11:30 am. The price of a guided tour in Russian is 1500 rubles (about $ 20) and the price in English is 2,000 rubles (about $ 27).

You can buy a ticket directly at the ticket office in the building on the day of the tour.

Nicki Minaj concert in England postponed after Dutch police detain her over pot found in bag

MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Nicki Minaj’s concert in Manchester scheduled for Saturday night was postponed after police in the Netherlands discovered marijuana in her bags as she was preparing to leave the country.

Promoter Live Nation said the performance will be rescheduled and tickets will be honored.

“Despite Nicki’s best efforts to explore every possible avenue to make tonight’s show happen, the events of today have made it impossible,” the promoter said in a statement. “We are deeply disappointed by the inconvenience this has caused.”

Minaj tweeted earlier Saturday that she was stopped at the Amsterdam airport as she was about to board a plane for the concert in Manchester. Police told her they found marijuana in her bags, and it would have to be weighed, she tweeted. Cannabis is illegal in the Netherlands, but it is tolerated for recreational use.

Robert Van Kapel, a spokesperson for the Netherlands military police, said a 41-year-old American woman had been arrested for exporting “soft drugs.” He did not identify the woman or elaborate on the type of drugs in question. Police later tweeted that they fined the woman and released her.

Minaj, who is 41 years old, tweeted that she believes police just wanted to make her late for her concert in Manchester.

“Told you, it’s to try to make me late so that they can write negative stories. Jealousy is a disease. You know the rest,” Minaj tweeted.

Her representatives didn’t immediately respond to messages Saturday.

The Trinidadian-born rapper is best known for her hits “Super Freaky Girl,” “Anaconda” and “Starships.” She has been nominated for 12 Grammy awards over the course of her career. The Manchester concert is part of her “Pink Friday 2” tour, which includes stops in Paris, Poland, Germany, Romania and Switzerland.
