Cinderella’s Royal Table & More Disney World Restaurants Returning

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

Walt Disney World has just announced the reopening of a few fan-favorite restaurants at both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in September and October 2020. In this post, we’ll offer dates and details, plus what else we can expect from WDW dining for the rest of 2020.

As you might recall, Walt Disney World released a List of Open & Closed In-Park Restaurants back in July, shortly before the theme parks reopened. Since then, not a whole lot has changed. EPCOT lost Tangierine Cafe but gained Teppan Edo, but that’s really about it. The bigger changes have occurred in the resorts and at Disney Springs, where more options have started coming back.

We love to eat at Walt Disney World, and the reduced restaurant lineup and scaled back menus are probably the biggest disappointment to us right now. It might sound silly, but it’s definitely noticeable while visiting. Finding fun snacks or a quick meal can be difficult, and we welcome the return of more dining options at Walt Disney World…

That’s why we were so excited when Walt Disney World announced Halloween Details & Dates at Magic Kingdom and beyond. Numerous fall snacks are coming to every single park at Walt Disney World–with over a dozen in Magic Kingdom alone, including our beloved Pumpkin Spiced Waffle Sundae and the Not So Poison Apple Cupcake.

Now, we have a few more favorites returning around the same time…

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there’s Halloween fun in store at Hollywood & Vine where Minnie’s Seasonal Dining is set to return on September 25, 2020. Then through the end of October, you can get in the spooky spirit during Minnie’s Halloween Dine.

This will be another modified character meal, with a “monster feast” served to your table family style rather than the normal buffet. And instead of normal character interactions (poses, autographs, etc.) it’ll be another moving ‘smile & wave’ cavalcade through the restaurant. Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, and their friends are still set to appear for a “boo-tastic time” filled with Halloween décor, music, scary good food, and more.

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

Regular readers probably already know that we’re huge fans of Minnie’s Seasonal Dines. We raved about Minnie’s Halloween Dine in our review of that , and did likewise with our Minnie’s Holiday Dine Review . Only a couple weeks before the closure, we did Minnie’s Springtime Dine for the first time and absolutely loved it . The following day, Sarah marked June 1 on the calendar and booked an ADR for Minnie’s Summertime Dine (obviously, that did not happen).

We’ll be sitting out Minnie’s Halloween Dine and Holiday Dine this year, but it’s still very good to see them returning. Hopefully by the time Minnie’s Silver Screen Dine returns in 2021, we’ll be ready to do indoor restaurants again!

Continuing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, ABC Commissary reopens for walk-in quick service lunch beginning October 8, 2020. This suggests that the shockingly good breakfast and fast casual dinner service won’t be available, which makes sense given the park’s operating hours. We forgot to review both meals–a seemingly wise move in hindsight, but simply an oversight in actuality.

Perhaps we’re reading too much into Walt Disney World’s announcement, but we’re hopeful that “reopens for walk-in quick service” means ABC Commissary won’t be Mobile Order-only. We strongly prefer using My Disney Experience to order, but not every Walt Disney World guest is as tech-savvy. Additionally, it feels a bit guest-unfriendly to have so many restaurants on lockdown.

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

Over at Magic Kingdom, two more restaurants are also returning. Beginning September 24, guests can enjoy dining in the enchanted, fairytale setting of Cinderella’s Royal Table in Fantasyland. The park’s flagship and most iconic dining experience returns offering a “regal banquet with unforgettable main courses” ranging from roasted chicken breast and tenderloin of beef to chef’s fish of the day.

However, this will not be a modified character meal. Per Walt Disney World, the “princesses will be taking a break from their royal duties greeting guests.” Nevertheless, there will be plenty of delicious fare and fun to be enjoyed in this beautiful, one-of-a-kind restaurant.

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

Back when the modified operation and health safety details were first announced, it was immediately clear that Cinderella’s Royal Table would not be able to run as it had before. At that time, we suggested a temporary return to King Stefan’s Banquet Hall, the same-location predecessor to Cinderella’s Royal Table.

We still think this would be a great idea. Tap into the endless well of Walt Disney World fan nostalgia, maybe release some King Stefan’s Banquet Hall branded merchandise, and (critically) draw a clear distinction to guests between the normal Cinderella’s Royal Table experience and this.

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

It’ll be interesting to see how this ends up working. Walt Disney World must be cognizant of that fact that they can’t charge normal Cinderella’s Royal Table prices for this experience ( right??? ). Then again, I’ve said the same about a lot of prices during the phased reopening and thus far have been proven wrong nearly every step of the way.

On the plus side, Walt Disney World did recognize this with pricing for breakfast at Chef Mickey’s, and reduced the price accordingly. We’d expect the same to be true with Cinderella’s Royal Table/King Stefan’s Banquet Hall; now is your rare chance to dine inside Cinderella Castle if you’re not into princess meals!

Reservations for both of the returning table service dining experiences will be available on DisneyWorld.com and in the My Disney Experience app beginning on September 11, 2020.

In the more immediate future, Gaston’s Tavern will return to Magic Kingdom on September 4, 2020–just in time for the busy Labor Day weekend at Walt Disney World . I think I speak for everyone when I say BRING BACK THE ROASTED PORK SHANK. Seriously, just give us that fatty, addictively good and gluttonous treat. It’s been a tough year. We deserve it.

Ultimately, even if Walt Disney World makes the mistake of not bringing back the Pork Shank, this is good news all around. As business continues to pick up at counter and table service restaurants around the parks and resorts, hopefully this trend continues. We’d personally like to see a greater emphasis on outdoor dining, but thus far there’s no guest demand. Perhaps that’ll change once Florida’s weather starts to cool down and there’s more widespread awareness about ventilation and the comparative safety of eating outside.

Tom – not sure where to pose this question, but is there a list or schedule of future restaurant openings? Specifically looking for the Mara, Boma, Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I find it odd that none are open while the Jambo House DVC’s are open. We have DVC trip planned in November at Polynesian (where most restaurants are open) but considering switching to Jambo House. thanks

' src=

There is no such schedule. At this point, they’re opening restaurants based upon demand and projected attendance.

I wouldn’t expect anything else at Animal Kingdom Lodge to reopen this year.

' src=

Really need for Crystal Palace to open. Out of all our trips we have never missed breakfast there. They could do it family style like they have some of the other buffets.

' src=

I agree, we’ve always done dinner w/ Tigger. They can do that stop n wave thing like at the other character interactions along w/ family style eating. We’d make a dinner reservation right now, & go in Sept.

' src=

So excited to see Cinderella’s Royal Table open without the princesses! Have eaten there for almost 50 years. I love character meals and princesses, but remember when King Stefan’s Banquet Hall was a relaxing, quiet dinner and not loud, noosy, or chaotic. I’m with you, go retro and open as KSBH for the short-term. Bring back those long dresess for the waitresses, cold logo-shaped butter in little urns on ice, pewter plates, and chocolate-mint or strawberry crepes for dessert!

' src=

Tom, With fewer restaurants open, are guests allowed to leave their park of the day to grab a bite at a resort then go back to the park? We’ve always used park hopper so we’re not used to staying all day at one park. I can’t seem to find the answer on Disney’s website. Thanks!

' src=

Good question? I’ve been wondering that myself because we always get the park hopper. We go to one park in the morning & leave around lunch so we can get off our feet & enjoy some swim time, then go back to a different park around dinner. It’s already bad enough that we can’t park hop (Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom Park are half days for us but will now have to be a full day or not at all), but I have to have some down time after walking Magic Kingdom or Epcot all morning.

We rescheduled this month’s trip to May 2021 & I’m hoping things get straightened out a little but watching Florida’s numbers, I’m not too optimistic. So it’d be nice to know what Disney expects from us.

' src=

Yes, you can leave and go back to same park. We’ve done it last couple days. Escaped a hellatious storm Friday that flooded Tomorrowland.

' src=

What is the quick service dining like after reopening? I know you use mobile order and then where do you eat at? I’m surprised they’re not utilizing outside tables to eat at. Or maybe they are? I just wondered where you eat your food at when she pick it up 🙂 does anyone know?

' src=

I haven’t tried to get an ADR at the earliest possible time in awhile… so I’m guessing that phone lines/web access will be pretty jammed up on September 11 with people trying to get an ADR for Cindy’s, no? When do they open up – is it still 7am ET? We are likely going to MK for one day in October and we would love to dine there… we’ve never been.

As Tom said, don’t know if Disney will be lowering the cost of a meal at CRT, but know that this is one of the most over-rated & over-charged meals at Walt Disney World, and breakfast is the worst. If prices stay the same, you’re looking at paying around $50 for a breakfast of eggs & bacon.

Thanks for the info, Peg. Yes, we will definitely consider reviews on the new offering, and the price they roll out before we make our final decision. We have heard mixed reviews of the food. Hopefully they change things up with the move away from a character experience. We are on a trip with all adults, only going to MK one day, and we thought it might be fun to do a table service in the park that day. We’ve done Skipper Canteen and Be our Guest, so we thought we’d try Cinderella’s or Liberty Tree Tavern.

' src=

Happy to see Gaston’s Tavern is opening back up. With Hollywood & Vine opening now I am hopeful for the holiday dine there with the characters in their Christmas attire. Happy to see that Cinderella’s Royal Table will open back up but knew it would be without characters…I just want to see inside but only if they modify the price enough to justify it…since this meal was originally on our list.

' src=

I know for a fact that in July Liberty Tree Tavern was using the Diamond Horseshoe as extra seating since that is where they sat me.

' src=

That happened to a friend of mine, too

Linda, Did you use mobile order? After you receive your food, do you get to eat it outside at tables?

' src=

Me too. My hubby and arrive the 12th!! We were bothdissappointedabout the cinnamon roll. I cannot wait yo tell him tonight! It better be on the menu. Its there signature snack so I’d think they wouldn’t dare not serve it. Halloween treats and gaston — despite the earlier closing the trip is lookin better each day!

' src=

Any idea if/when Spirit of Aloha will return?

I wouldn’t expect it before Summer 2021.

' src=

I am ELATED to see Gaston’s is returning! It really brings some of the magic back for my family as it’s a must do for us. We have a trip coming up shortly and it was a hit to think we’d miss it this time. I can’t wait to eat that hot and sticky concoction while sitting outside in the hot and sticky Florida air.

' src=

I would love to see Hollywood & Vine replace the spring seasonal dine with a Star Wars themed meal in celebration of May the 4th. I miss the old Star Wars weekends with Princess Minnie, Jedi Mickey, Darth Goofy and Stormtrooper Donald.

' src=

Highly unlikely to ever see it again. Lucasfilm division has made it very clear they don’t want the non-SW characters in Star Wars attire. Personally, we are all big SW fans in my family, and I don’t think it hurts the brand at all (or whatever the reason is). I think it’s stupid and a lost opportunity. Not full time but alternating limited runs like the other themed dines.

' src=

I’m also hoping they add more outdoor eating options. I’m planning to visit in November and will only be eating outdoors (or back in my hotel room).

I saw on Yelp that Cape May Cafe is set to reopen on November 1st (along with quite a few other restaurants). They don’t have Cinderella’s Royal Table with a Nov 1st open date, though, so I don’t know how accurate their information is, and I’m curious as to how they’ll do the seafood buffet since they can’t do buffets any longer.

Hollywood & Vine isn’t on the list of restaurants anymore on the Disney site. Do you have any idea what the “Monster Feast” will consist of? The food there is pretty bad, so if we can’t pick what we want, it’s not worth the high cost. We only paid the high cost for the characters & passes for Fantasmic.

I don’t think Yelp’s dates are grounded in reality. I don’t know their source, but I doubt there is one. Walt Disney World restaurant info is notorious for leaking out; if that date were credible, it’d be reported elsewhere.

No clue what the menu will look like. Hopefully a smaller selection of higher quality items (although I think the buffet spread wasn’t too shabby).

Thank you, Tom! I was wondering. I’m trying to plan a trip to Disney next year, but it’s really difficult with not knowing which restaurants will be open & what they might or might not be serving anymore. We go so often that we don’t spend all day in the parks anymore. We have a bucket list for resorts & one for food. I don’t want to go if the signature restaurants won’t be open. I like seafood the way you like MEAT

That’s good news and signs of more to come. During our trip last week it was a bit more difficult to find places to eat. Mobile ordering worked great and we used that quite a bit. Also had quite a few meals, mostly breakfasts, at the Contempo cafe at the Contemporary resort where we stayed and they did a nice job with social distancing by keeping tables separated and clean. We mostly felt the lack of variety of places to eat in the parks, but given the shorter hours (and that it was so hot) we generally headed to one of the resorts for dinners.

' src=

Is Minnie’s Seasonal Dining for lunch and dinner or all three meals of the day?

' src=

“Would you be more excited if the Pork Shank came back to Gaston’s Tavern?” Of course! Gston didn’t get by eating a fruit plate!

Its nice to see more things opening, and it they reduced the price of CRT it would make it an appealing meal. (That said, BoG dinner has no princesses and still has a pretty steep price.)

I’ve eaten at the castle a few times. Once at King Stefan’s was admittedly a long, long time ago. We also did the princess meal with our nieces and the food was subpar for the price. Desserts were excellent, but overall not worth it. Fantastic theming, but the food didn’t cut it.

Good news on Gaston’s. Missed the Shank, but like the rolls as long as you can get more icing. (No such thing as too much).

' src=

Wasn’t King Stephan Aurora’s father? Not related to Cinderella?

Correct, DebC. It was an odd choice for the restaurant’s name!

' src=

Thanks so much Tom! I’m glad I held on to our “rebooked” value resort from april. Even with our upgraded room at Kidani village there were some cons to continuing with the trip. But with some Halloween decor, another modified character meal, and low crowds mon-fri late September, I am beginning to believe this will be an amazing trip. I will be online 7am sept 11th to book CRT (hoping for lower price). Thanks for the advanced notice!

' src=

Was so hoping for Columbia Habour House would reopen. Disappointed it did not.

' src=

Columbia Harbor House is being used by Liberty Tree Tavern for extra socially distanced seating.

Unless they really changed things recently, I believe you’re thinking of Diamond Horseshoe.

Columbia Harbour House returning would be a big win in my view.

That’s interesting. We’ll be eating there this weekend!

That makes more sense Tom, now that I think about it. Mmm, LTT Pot Roast on Monday…hell yeah!

Now, about those cheeseburger egg rolls, have the carts been open lately?

Aaaaaand I really NEED the chocolate bacon!

I thought they had opened it to Cast Members for breaks throughout the day.

' src=

They are using Columbia Harbor House as a cast member break area as many attraction break rooms are too small for proper social distancing. I figure this will stay this way for the near future.

It’s worth eating here at least once, particularly if you have small children or are a Disney princess fanatic. They’re open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but the best move is to come for an early morning reservation before the park opens so you’ll already be inside during rope drop. Book the earliest possible time slot, and you’ll be finished with your meal in time to be first in line for Seven Dwarves Mine Train, get a front-row spot for the Magic Kingdom’s opening ceremonies, or simply run around a nearly-empty Fantasyland taking photos.

Cinderella’s Royal Table Review: Why It’s Still Worth It

Of all the restaurants and dining experiences at Walt Disney World, it’s tough to beat Cinderella’s Royal Table in terms of location.

Located inside of the Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle, guests at Cinderella’s Royal Table can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner in a medieval-style banquet hall with stained glass windows overlooking Fantasyland!

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

What You Need To Know

Now, Cinderella’s Royal Table is considered a signature dining experience meaning it’s one of the pricier options within the park and around Walt Disney World. It’s also one of the more difficult dining reservations to secure; however, thanks to Be Our Guest, it’s not as impossible as it once was in years prior and there is a walk-up list on the My Disney Experience app.

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

At the time of writing, the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but its opening and closing hours tend to vary. Be aware that you must have a Magic Kingdom theme park pass reservation to enjoy Cinderella’s Royal Table, and an Annual Pass discount of 10% is available.

Despite Cinderella’s Royal Table’s popularity, the food has long been considered fine – not bad, not amazing, just adequate. But has this changed now that Cinderella’s Royal Table is no longer a character meal? Is it still worth that coveted reservation and the price?

Our Experience

To answer that question, our park reporter Chrissy visited Cinderella’s Royal Table to check out its fixed-price dinner to see just how enjoyable this fairytale feast could be.

Dinner was priced at $62 per adult and consisted of an appetizer, entree, and dessert. For kids, the meal was priced at $37 per child (ages 3 – 9) and came with the option of two sides in addition to an appetizer, entree, and a dessert.

Upon entering the banquet hall with its rich tapestries and stone archways, Chrissy and her party were seated right by the stained glass windows!

According to Chrissy, the salty pork belly and sweet tomatoes paired with the vinegar makes this dish something special.

Pan-Seared Sea Scallops

Tenderloin of Beef

It also comes with a side of whipped potatoes, maple-glazed brussels sprouts, and seasonal veggies.

Chrissy noted that this was the second visit where she and hers couldn’t decide on a dessert and the second time a sweet server just brought out everything. All were gorgeously plated and scrumptious, and she’s happy to report that you can’t go wrong.

Being the hostess that she is, Cinderella has made sure her guests won’t leave empty-handed but with three souvenirs: a wishing star, an autograph card, and a wand or sword.

Final Thoughts

Whether it’s the setting and views, the food, or the small, thoughtful touches, we predict you’ll love dining here. It’s pricey, but it remains one of our favorites and a truly memorable, fairytale experience.

9 thoughts on “ Cinderella’s Royal Table Review: Why It’s Still Worth It ”

It seems WDW is gouging families and giving less n less. This will be our last time going I can tell you that. Offering characters to make kids happy cost Disney ZERO DOLLARS. WDW makes billions a month, and they are getting greedier by the year.

From all the reviews it seems to be a waste of money and time. I took my niece in 2019 and crt was so worth it. A one on one with Cinderella and all the other princesses came around to each table for hugs and photos. Wands and special waving for special wishes. Now, it’s 3 years later and I’m taking my granddaughter and was hoping for the same experience but it seems Disneyworld has taken the magic out of the park

We dined at Cinderellas Royal table last week. There were 0 princesses and the cost was still the same. There’s a beautiful entry for which at least one princess could greet guests, but it was empty. Without princesses, they added more tables. We were rather squished. The menu on paper was similar to Be our guest but food was different. There were no sea scallops offered as in your post. The clock strikes 12 chocolate dessert was good, but the cheesecake was awful. The view is the back side of the castle. The staff could have offered a bit more theatrics with 0 princesses. We were very rushed. It was loud with all of the tables and people. It was not the enjoyable experience that I had hoped it would be. I knew there wouldn’t be a princess the weekend of, but when we left I felt we had not had the experience that we deserved for the price.

We recently had breakfast at this venue (I think on the same day as Chrissy), and I believe that to be a better value. We got a good, hearty meal to start our day, the kids were happy with Mickey waffles, and the price is lower than a fancy-pants dinner. That said, we also did a breakfast a few years ago pre-pandemic when they had FOUR princesses greet each table for pictures and autographs AND you got to meet Cinderella for a formal photo session. THAT was definitely worth the money spent. Here’s hoping that time will come again. But like Chrissy said, in these times, what we recently received was still worth it.

I just returned home yesterday from taking my elementary school aged daughter to WDW for the first time. We spent four days at the theme parks, two of which were spent at Magic Kingdom. We had reservations for BOG for lunch on one day, and we had reservations for CRT for breakfast on the other day. We kept our BOG reservation and had a lovely meal there (and my daughter was greeted at her table by the beast, which was very cool). I struggled with whether or not to cancel or keep our CRT breakfast reservation. We ultimately opted to cancel it, on the basis that my daughter wanted to spend more time exploring the other attractions at MK, rather than to have a “fancy meal” with a “socially distanced” princess. Particularly since we had already enjoyed the BOG experience, we figured our time was better spent enjoying more of the MK attractions than doing another fine dining experience at MK. Perhaps if and when we go back to MK again someday hopefully the “socially distanced” covid protocols will be dropped and we will be able to enjoy CRT at that time.

My family of seven (six adults and a 6 yr old) had dinner at the Castle two weeks ago to celebrate my granddaughter’s 6th birthday. The best part of the dinner was being so close to where Cinderella came out to the dining room. The food was ok but none of us were overly impressed and would have liked some additional choices. If you have a seafood allergy, your choices are limited to just a couple items. Our little one liked the beef and the cupcake…. That was all she ate….. For $37!!! Our server was very sweet but we were not impressed with the dinner and probably would not book again. We also cancelled our lunch reservation at Be Our Guest due to the price and same type of food.

My partner and I had breakfast here several years ago. It was a fun experience, though the food isn’t memorable. Like Space 220, it’s something we checked off our list but won’t do again. Without tableside character visits I wouldn’t bother.

This review makes sense from the perspective of an adult who enjoys fine dining. It would probably make a lovely date night. However, consider the plight of my family of 6, which is 2 adults and 4 children age 10+ who Disney nevertheless considers to be “adults”. For 6 “adults”, the cost is $372 plus tax and tip, so well north of $400.

And yet, my 10-year old is going to want nothing to do with balsamic vinegar gelee, sea scallops, or sauce bordelaise. He’s going to want chicken fingers or pepperoni pizza, so the $62 (plus tax and tip) is largely wasted on him, and probably on the 12- and 13-year olds as well. That’s $400+ for a bunch of fancy-pants food the kids don’t want to eat and a distant view of Cinderella as she appears across the room. I don’t think this is even close to being worth the extreme cost.

And it’s not just Cinderella’s Royal Table. Disney has ruined many of their table service restaurants for families (including Be Our Guest) with the combination of prix fixe pricing and a bizarre definition of “adult” that prices most families out!

I’m willing to bet Disney servers would be happy to allow 12 and 13 year olds (and likely even older) to order mac ‘n’ cheese or chicken nuggets off the kids’ menu as long as they paid adult prices!

But you are right about pricing many families out. But Disney has the luxury of doing that at a venue that often was booked solid 180 days in advance prior to the pandemic.

For me and my family, this food is a bit too fancy, not to mention too expensive. I’m not even sure if I could tell you if it tasted good or not!

Dining Room

There are several experiences throughout the Walt Disney World Resort that offer Guests the chance to feel like royalty and rub elbows with the Disney Princesses, but none is as popular as a table service restaurant found in the heart of the Magic Kingdom. Cinderella’s Royal Table is an opulent Disney dining experience found inside of Cinderella Castle that serves up a royal feast in an unforgettable setting for breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day.

The royal experience begins before Guests even enter into Cinderella’s Royal Table, as they first have to pass through the stunning breezeway of Cinderella Castle, where intricate mosaic murals brings classic moments from Cinderella to life. After moving through the breezeway, Guests can spot a beautifully carved sign that welcomes them to the restaurant, complete with an image of the pumpkin that magically transformed into Cinderella’s enchanted carriage.

Dining Room

Guests then ascend a beautiful spiral staircase that leads up into Cinderella Castle and get their first glimpse of the opulent and royal setting within. Beautiful stone arches and soaring vaulted ceilings are adorned with intricate carvings and woodwork, bright pops of red and blue can be found on the patterned carpet and chairs, colorful medieval flags proudly hang above, and massive stained-glass windows let in stunning natural light.

Dining Room

These massive windows not only function as a source of light throughout the daylight hours, but also showcase some of the most unique and beautiful views of Fantasyland. Guests who peer out can spot nearby attractions like Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and at night the twinkling lights of the Disney Park add an air of romance to the experience.

Suit of Armor

The overall effect of Cinderella’s Royal Table is a regal and elegant atmosphere that is furthered by amazing details that Guests absolutely should pause to take note of. Shiny suits of armor lines the hallways, thick velvet accents can be found in the entry, ornate chandeliers dangle from above, and the Disney family crest can even be spotted above a fireplace.

In addition to the general theming, Guests can also spot a nod to some of the most beloved animal characters from any Disney animated film. Jaq and Gus from Cinderella can be found on a ledge above, looking down at Guests and welcoming them to their home!

Entrance

Cinderella’s Royal Table is a stunning location that typically operates as a character dining experience with the opportunity to meet Disney Princesses including Cinderella, Ariel, and Sleeping Beauty. Unfortunately, the table service restaurant is currently not offering character interactions, but Guests can still enjoy the delicious menu options and beautiful atmosphere.

Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, each meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table is a prix-fixe experience, offering Guests the opportunity to select one appetizer, entrée, and dessert, all of which feature regal names and delicious flavors.

Royal 50th Celebration Flight

Since Cinderella’s Royal Table is a table service restaurant, it is one of the only locations in the Magic Kingdom where Guests can order and enjoy alcoholic beverages, and there is a selection of beer, wine, and champagne to choose from. Guests who are looking to truly indulge can also enjoy special wine flights with whimsical names such as the Step Sisters Flight, Royal Breakfast Flight, Belle of the Ball Flight, and The Castle Flight.

Breakfast begins with a basket of assorted pastries for the table to share and classic egg entrée options include Baked Quiché and the Traditional Breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes. Seafood lovers can begin their mornings with the decadent Shrimp and Grits which tops a creamy bed of smoked Gouda cheese grits with tomato jam, a fried egg, buttered shrimp, and garlic baguette. Also very popular is the plant-based Royal Avocado Toast which tops multigrain toast with plant-based eggs and cheese, radish, and jalapeños for a little bit of heat.

Caramel Apple-stuffed French Toast

By far the most indulgent and sweet breakfast item on the menu at Cinderella’s Royal Table is the Caramel Apple-stuffed French Toast which stuffs a large portion of toast with cream cheese and spiced apples, and drizzles it with caramel sauce, and pairs it with a side of bacon.

Charcuterie

The lunch and dinner menus at Cinderella’s Royal Table are identical and feature three courses for Guests to choose from, beginning with the Appetizers of the Court. Guests can enjoy a light Castle Salad or Soup of the Day as well as more indulgent options like the Charcuterie and Steamed Mussels which are paired with a white wine-coconut curry, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic toast.

Tenderloin of Beef

The Entrées Royale are the true highlight of the lunch and dinner menus at Cinderella’s Royal Table and meat lovers can dig into the Tenderloin of Beef which is grilled to juicy perfection and accompanied by whipped potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and bordelaise sauce.

Chicken

Guests who are more interested in white meat options can enjoy the Magic Carpet Ride, which pairs a duo of spice-crusted pork tenderloin and pork belly with curry couscous, glazed rainbow carrots, and a decorative peppercorn flying carpet. Also available is the When Will My Life Begin Chicken and Pasta which features braised chicken, forest and moss flowers, and a pine nut pesto served atop a bed of pasta in a frying pan to honor Rapunzel.

Chickpea Panisse

Seafood lovers can order the Sustainable Catch En Papillote, which is very allergy-friendly and is served with marbled potatoes, chimichurri, and seasonal vegetables. The final Entrées Royale option on the menu at Cinderella’s Royal Table is the plant-based Chickpea Panisse, which is served with tomato jam, roasted carrots, chermoula-spiced garbanzos, and chive powder.

Jaq & Gus

The final course offered for lunch and dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table is the Finales, which offers Guests three delicate and delicious desserts to choose from. The Jaq & Gus is a flavorful cheesecake that changes seasonally, The Clock Strikes Twelve is an opulent dark chocolate mousse with caramel, crunchy pralines, and hazelnut gelato, and the plant-based Coffee Pots de Crème features a coffee-infused coconut custard, passion fruit gelée, and chocolate-espresso beans.

Cinderella's Royal Table

Cinderella's Royal Table Review: is Dining in the Castle Magical and Worth the Signature Price?

When thinking of bucket list experiences at Walt Disney World one can top the list for most Fairytale loving fans: seeing iconic Cinderella Castle . Now imagine a chance to dine INSIDE the castle. Sounds like a dream right? Cinderella happens to be Julie’s favorite princess and we were lucky enough to dine at Cinderella’s Royal Table years ago for a special occasion. We decided to return once again to celebrate our anniversary last month. Read on for a review of the restaurant and see if this Signature Dining experience is as magical as it sounds…

About Cinderella’s Royal Table

This restaurant is tucked inside Cinderella’s castle on the second floor above the arched walkway. From the backside of the castle you can see the tall windows of the restaurant that offer some of the best views in the Magic Kingdom . Traditionally Cinderella’s Royal Table is a Character Dining experience, but that is currently on pause due to the pandemic. The meal is a set price and includes three courses. The current price to dine in the castle is $62 for adults and $37 for children. This cost does not include tax and gratuity. Some discounts are available such as Disney Vacation Club and Tables in Wonderland. Reservations can be extremely hard to obtain in normal times so we recommend trying to book as soon as possible.

The Ambiance

After climbing a spiral staircase to the second floor, guests enter a grand room with tall arched ceilings, stone walls, and stained glass windows. The restaurant feels regal with patterned fabrics and medieval decor. We like that Cinderella’s Royal Table is on the smaller side as it can feel more intimate than a typical large theme park eatery. While it is popular with princess loving kids it still attracts couples and can feel on the romantic side too. Dining in a castle truly can be considered date night goals.

Our Three-Course Meal in the Castle

Currently Cinderella’s Royal Table is offering Lunch and Dinner. The prix fixe menu is the same for both meals with options for a starter, main, and dessert. Non-alcoholic drinks are included as well. We were a little surprised however there was no bread service with the meal.

Beverages of the Court

Assorted Fountain Drinks

Freshly Brewed Joffrey's Coffee ™

Twinings of London ® Hot Tea

Iced Tea

Hot Cocoa

Minute Maid® Lemonade, Apple Juice and Orange Juice

1% Milk and Chocolate Milk

We stuck with soda and ice tea for our meal. And then enjoyed some hot tea with dessert. It’s good to note there is a drink menu available for beer, wine, and champagne as well. (Click image below to enlarge.)

Appetizers of the Court

Castle Salad  Hearty Mixed Greens, Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, Riesling-marinated Golden Raisins, Pink Lady Apples, and Maple-Balsamic Vinaigrette

Julie ordered this salad and it was right up her alley. She was happy to see beets and onions but could see where some people would not be happy they as they weren’t listed in the description. The tangy dressing and the pumpkin seeds finished off a great mix. It was delicious and a very good portion too.

Charcuterie  A Chef's selection of Cured Meats, Castle Pickles, and Accompaniments

Andrew went for the charcuterie platter. And well, we must say it was probably the saddest one we have ever seen. With 2 small hunks of meat, some pate/spread (honestly we have no idea what anything actually was since we received no description), and a couple pickles it wasn’t impressive at all. While Andrew liked the few bites of meat it was lacking and he found himself dreaming of a cheese platter.

Entrées Royale

Tenderloin of Beef Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Celery Root Mash, Seasonal Vegetables, and Sauce Bordelaise

Andrew’s meal was much better. The steak was cooked exactly as he preferred although it was fairly chewy. He wasn’t sure about the celery root mash but he was able to substitute for some roasted potatoes which were good. The asparagus wasn't very flavorful but the sauce was delicious and made the meal.

Braised Lamb Shank  Cannellini Bean Ragoût, Caramelized Pickled Shallots, and Herbed Panko Breadcrumbs

Julie’s meal was a hearty portion featuring a large lamb shank. The meat was tender and fell off the bone. She enjoyed the accompaniments below with the beans too. Very filling and delicious.

The Clock Strikes Twelve  Dark Chocolate Mousse with a Dark Chocolate Ganache served with a Raspberry Coulis

We had seen this pretty signature dessert online and were excited to order it in person. Unfortunately it looked nothing like pictures we had seen. It usually features a beautiful clock design on top, while this presentation was just ok. The dessert was good, and very rich, and the raspberry was a great touch.

Coffee Pots de Crème  Coffee-infused Coconut 'Custard', Passion Fruit Gelée, and Crumbled Chocolate-Espresso Beans (Plant-based)

The second dessert we tried was actually plant based and it was delicious. We expected it to be more coconut flavored but it wasn’t really. It was mostly coffee flavored mousse with a touch of passion fruit. The nibs were tasty and we enjoyed this more than we would have expected.

Extra Magic

Simply being inside the castle is a pretty magical experience. But there are other little “extras” that typically add to the experience. We noticed some of these may currently be missing compared to our last visit and wanted to note them.

Before: The last time we dined in the castle it was a full character meal with four princesses visiting each table for pictures, autographs, and chit chat. There was also an appearance by the Fairy Godmother. Another cool thing that was included was upon arrival, before going up stairs guests would meet Cinderella in the main hall for a photo opportunity. On our last visit we left with an 8x10 of that moment as well as a picture of the castle too.

Now: Unfortunately with the pandemic much of this has been stripped away. There is no photo opp and there is no table visiting. In fact there is only one quick appearance by Cinderella from afar. She makes her way around the perimeter of the room waving and smiling to tables.

Cinderella welcoming guests to the castle.

Cinderella moved about the perimeter of the room twirling and smiling.

She moved about the perimeter of the room twirling and smiling.

Before: During our previous visit guests were given small plastic “wishing stars.” Kids were also given magic wands or swords. Even though we are adults we got these items too. It was fun and they were nice little memory items to take home. It’s also good to note the photos were provided together in a nice little folder as well.

Now: There were none of these items on our latest visit. Every table did receive a small card with Cinderella’s autograph to take home. We did also receive a celebratory cupcake in addition to our other desserts.

A celebratory cupcake and autograph card from Cinderella.

A celebratory cupcake and autograph card from Cinderella.

We honestly don’t remember much about our service years ago, but unfortunately on this recent visit the service stood out as not being a magical experience. Checking-in for our meal was lackluster being told to scan the code and “go to the elevator.” Our server was kind of nice but very mediocre. When paying a higher price for a meal you would expect that highly skilled Cast Members would be assigned to this post to provide memories that stand out for guests. Our server did her job by asking our order and bringing our food but really nothing else, the entire meal could be summed up as “just ok.” Our meal even ended with her saying “your ticket said you were celebrating something, here is a cupcake.” She couldn’t even be bothered to ask what we were actually celebrating and we have never had a special occasion at Disney feel more hum drum. On the way out of the restaurant we were trying to take a quick picture of the banquet room and were somewhat rudely asked to get out of the way and practically shooed down the stairs. It was pretty disappointing. You would think the staff would know that this is a special experience for most dining here, but instead it felt a little more like a factory moving guests in and out. We would hope that such an iconic dining experience with a Signature price tag would have some of the best service on property and sadly that just doesn’t seem to be the case.

During our visit to the Magic Kingdom Cinderella’s pumpkin coach happened to be on display for a limited time too!

During our visit to the Magic Kingdom Cinderella’s pumpkin coach happened to be on display for a limited time too!

Final Thoughts

Unfortunately for us this visit to Cinderella’s Royal Table paled in comparison to our previous experience. We aren’t sure if most of that is due to post pandemic operating procedures, but it did feel like a let down. It’s good to note that prior to the pandemic a meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table was $75 for adults, so the price has been slashed by $13. But to be honest we would have happily paid an extra $13 if it meant we had top notch service and a little more magic. Even with a discount it was hard to swallow the cost knowing that so much was missing compared to before. Extras like photos and souvenirs are small but do factor in to the price. The service could have been a great opportunity to make guests still feel special with the lack of Princess interaction. The food was a mix of some being good and some being ok. Even something like the dessert not featuring the beautiful clock seemed like a missed opportunity.

Now while we can’t help but compare our past visit to the recent one, we truly feel that even if this was our first time we still would have questioned the price. There are plenty of options on Disney property that have high-end dining and stellar service that would be a great option for a special occasion. We do think that there is something to be said for dining in the castle, and we still feel like it is worth doing at least once to get that special look inside. But with the high price tag it may be worth waiting until things get back to a little more normal to ensure a more memorable time. Dining in the castle can be a bucket list item for so many people and we hope that Cinderella’s Royal Table gets the magic back soon for those once in a lifetime guests to experience.

For those of you considering princess dining at Disney World, we wanted to share our review and experiences of Cinderella’s Royal Table and our thoughts on whether it is worth it.

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Hosted and greeted on arrival by Cinderella, guests are served breakfast, lunch or dinner while enjoying table visits from Princesses Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine and Snow White.

Cinderella’s Royal Table Walt Disney World

The princess dining is served in the beautiful banquet room overlooking Fantasyland in Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kindom. The grand banquet hall is a magnificent backdrop with stone archways, medieval flags and stained glass windows.

There are wonderful views of Fantasyland from the dining room.

How to Reserve Cinderella’s Royal Table?

Cinderella’s Royal Table is extremely popular and reservations are usually snapped up as soon as the advance dining window opens. Guests with a Disney Resort Hotel reservation can make reservations 60 days + length of stay (up to a maximum of 10 nights) in advance. All other guests can make reservations up to 60 days in advance, with reservations opening at 6am EST 60 days out.

Cinderella’s Royal Table Walt Disney World

In our experience, Cinderella’s Royal Table is one of the hardest reservations to get at Walt Disney World . We find it the hardest dining reservation to secure after the initial drop and, in our experience, it’s surpassed only by appointments at the nearby Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. However, with the right planning and tools you can nearly always get your desired dining time – we’ve been lucky with reserving appointments on the day they are released, with getting a cancellation in the lead-up to our stay and have even grabbed an 8am slot a couple of days before a Magic Kingdom day!

Cindrella’s Royal Table tip:  on our most recent trip our reservations included Cinderella’s Royal Table, Ohana, Topolino Terrace, Space 220, Oga’s Catina, Roundup Rodeo BBQ, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Storybook Dining at Artist’s Point and the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party. Early morning at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was by far the hardest reservation to secure closely followed by anything pre 9pm at Cinderella’s Royal Table across all those extremely pouplar restaurants!

Tips for getting a reservation at Cinderella’s Royal Table

  • Make a list of preferred dates and dining times and a backup list of other acceptable but not ideal dining times
  • Set a reminder for just before 6am EST opening 60 days out from your desired reservation (or 60 days + the duration of your stay, max 10 days, for Disney Resort hotel guests)
  • Reserve the moment your reservation window opens
  • Sign up for  Mouse Dining  and set text alerts for your preferred days and times if you don’t get your favored appointment times.

Try Mouse Dining now!

  • Cinderella’s Royal Table has a 24 hour cancelation window so there is still hope! If you arrive at Walt Disney World and still need an appointment then check availability every evening – we find most cancellations are made the evening before or even in the 48 hours before.
  • You have to prepay Cinderella’s Royal Table at the time of your reservation but there is a 24 cancelation window so make sure you read the terms. We’ve cancelled within the listed cancellation window and received a full refund without any issues.
Cinderella’s Royal table tip: dining alerts are a Walt Disney World essential and we recommend signing up to   Mouse Dining . You sign up, set alerts to your desired reservations (e.g. 8am Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table) and, as soon as a cancellation is made, the dining alert service will alert you via email and/or text so you can reserve it immediately. We rely heavily on dining alerts in the run up to all our Walt Disney World and Disneyland California trips and we’ve always been able to secure a reservation. We’ve tried a few services and always return to   Mouse Dining . as their alerts are super speedy and reliable – there is a free service (email only, 6 alerts) but we use the monthly subscription ($9, email and text alerts, includes international texts) in the months leading up to our Walt Disney World visit. If you want one of the highly sought-after reservations like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or Cinderella’s Royal Table then we’d recommend the paid monthly subscription as you can set up alerts for all your planned Magic Kingdom Days and we always notice the text alerts instantly. Make sure to practice with an easy-to-secure reservation so you know the exact process – this is essential as Bibbidi Bobbidi and Cinderella’s Royal Table reservations are snapped up almost instantly! –  check out Mouse Dining here!

Cinderella’s Royal Table and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

If one of your younger guests is planning to have a Royal Transformation in Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique we recommend making an appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi and then, after a minimum two hour window, reserving Cinderella’s Royal Table. It’s wonderful to meet the Princesses at Cinderella’s Royal Table after they’ve had their very own royal makeover!

Guide to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Magic Kingdom

If you are a Disney Resort Hotel guest and want to align your Cinderella’s Royal Table with a Bibbidi Bobbidi Royal Makeover appointment then remember you can reserve Enchanting Extras including Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at 12am 60 days + the duration of your stay (up to a maximum of 10 days). This means you can reserve Bibbidi Bobbidi a few hours in advance of the dining reservations reservations opening up at 6am EST and make sure to align the two.

The Princesses at Cinderella’s Royal Table

Cinderella greets guests upon entering her Castle and, typically, Aurora, Jasmine, Snow White, and Ariel are in attendance during the meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table. In recent months, we’ve seen Merida attending in place of Snow White on several occasions.

Cinderella’s Royal Table Walt Disney World

Cinderella’s Royal Table tip: Rapunzel was at Cinderella’s Royal Table during one of our meals and took the place of Jasmine. Otherwise, Aurora, Jamine, Snow White and Ariel seem to be the typical line up. If you want to meet Rapunzel, she hosts a meet and greet with Tiana in the nearby Princess Fairytale Hall.

Cinderella’s Royal Table Walt Disney World

Upon entering Cinderella’s Castle, guests wait downstairs until their table is ready in the banquet hall upstairs. The decor is wonderful from the moment you enter and it’s almost like another world from the Fantasyland crowds just outside!

Cinderella’s Royal Table Walt Disney World

There is a short line to meet Cinderella, who stands in front of a regal backdrop, and a PhotoPass photographer is on hand to capture the moment.

Cinderella does not visit guests during the meal itself, the only opportunity to meet her is upon entering the Castle.

Cinderella’s Royal Table Walt Disney World

Cinderella’s Royal Table tip: like all character dining, we recommend being prepared. Make sure everyone is ready, you know what photos you want and have your autographs books out – the meet and greets are so exciting and happen so fast it can be easy to forget that you wanted an authograph or a specific photo. We have 3 young kids and often handle meet and greets like pros but occassionally they are such a blur of chaos that we can only laugh about them afterwards!

Cinderella’s Royal Table Walt Disney World

The other Princesses in attendance (typically Aurora, Jasmine, Ariel and Snow White) walk through the restaurant stopping by each table to greet guests.

Cinderella’s Royal Table Walt Disney World

We have a lovely time with each of the princesses and they always make a huge fuss of the children. We are able to take lots of photos of our party with the princesses.

Cinderella’s Royal Table Walt Disney World

The princesses are announced to Royal fanfare and, after stopping by all the tables in the banquet hall, take a break before their next visit. It is easy to meet all the Princesses as they make sure to stop by each table.

There are 3 sittings at Cinderella’s Royal Table – breakfast is served from 8am to 10:15am, lunch is served from 11am to 2:55pm and dinner from 3pm to 5:55pm – and the menu depends on which meal you are attending.

All means are sit-down and served to the table. Lunch and dinner share the same menu while breakfast is focused towards a brunch-style menu. It is slightly less expensive ($69 adults/$39 kids plus tax and gratuity) than lunch and dinner ($84 adults/$47 kids plus tax and gratuity).

Lunch and Dinner Menu

  • Appetisers: soup, Ceasar Salad, braised beef and jumbo shrimp.
  • Entrees are typically pork tenderloin, tenderloin of beef, fish of the day, slow-braised chicken and gnocchi
  • The dessert finale includes Jaq & Gus (cheesecake), The Clock Strikes 12 (chocolate mousse) and a Coffee Pot de Crème (vegan coffee pot de Crème)

Kids can choose between sliced apples, garden salad, cheese and grapes as an appetiser. This is followed by one of fish, chicken nuggets, beef tenderloin and macaroni cheese accompanied by two options from seasonal vegetables, rice, corn on the cob and mashed potatoes. For dessert, younger guests can enjoy yoghurt parfait, a build your own cupcake and a seasonal sorbet.

Sodas, tea, coffee, milk and hot chocolate are included. Alcoholic drinks are available at an additional cost.

Kids can choose between egg white frittata, oatmeal, Mickey Mouse Waffles and assorted cold cereals. This is accompanied by two options from yoghurt, fruit, home fries, turkey or pork sausage and bacon.

What is the best time to dine at Cinderella’s Royal Table?

Our favorite dining times include:

  • Breakfast:  we love having somewhere to sit down for breakfast in Magic Kingdom. It means we don’t have to worry too much about breakfast prior to early entry/rope dropping and it gives our kids a chance to recharge for the afternoon. They also tend to eat more from the breakfast menu and it is always a little less expensive than lunch or dinner.
  • After a Royal Transformation at Bibiddi Bobbidi Boutique in Magic Kingdom: i f you are lucky enough to secure a dining spot at Cinderella’s Royal Table we recommend trying to get your kids a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation earlier on the same day so they are all set to meet your Princesses in style!
  • 8am reservation: Magic Kingdom usually opens at 9am (or 8.30am for guests with Early Entry) so an 8am reservation means you can enter Fantasyland prior to the park opening and start the day early. You will only have access to the area in front of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the entrance to Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Do kids dress up as Princesses/Princes?

Yes, for sure! Many of the young guests wear prince and princess costumes for their Royal dining – we picked up some lovely (and relatively inexpensive) outfits prior to travelling. Our 5-year-old was adorable in his Prince Charming costume as was our 3-year-old in her Princess dress. You can also purchase dresses in the park or at Bibbidi Boddidi Boutique.

Adults were dressed casually and we wore our regular theme park clothes.

Which is Better – Be Our Guest or Cinderella’s Royal Table? (A Complete Review)

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

Sharing is caring!

Two of the best Disney World restaurants are in the Magic Kingdom. Find out how to choose between Be Our Guest and Cinderella’s Royal Table here!

A major part of the Walt Disney World experience is food. Visiting the parks is an all-day experience so it is inevitable that you’ll eat theme park food eventually.

Disney World offers different types of dining, ranging from fast snacks to formal sit-down. After my first time at Disney World , I discovered that I like to have one sit-down reservation per day and graze the rest of the day. The sit-down restaurants may be more expensive, but the portions are huge and the food is unmatched.

There are 4 main theme parks at Disney World but the most famous park is Magic Kingdom. This is the quintessential Disney theme park with Cinderella’s castle glistening in the center. If you’re visiting Walt Disney World, it’s inevitable that you’ll visit the Magic Kingdom. You’ll have the opportunity to choose between two of the best sit-down restaurant experiences in all of Disney World when you visit the Magic Kingdom.

If you’re wondering whether you should dine at Be Our Guest or CInderella’s Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom, read on to find the pros and cons of each – as well as which was my favorite between the two!

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Located in Cinderella’s castle in the center of Magic Kingdom, Cinderella’s Royal Table presents the only opportunity for Disney World guests to view the inside of the castle. When it’s your reservation time, you’ll enter the Grand Hall until your name is called. After ascending a gorgeous spiral staircase, you’ll land in the main dining area with stained glass views of the rest of the Magic Kingdom.

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Because this is fine dining, dinner will run you $62 – so this certainly isn’t a cheap experience. Meals may vary from when you visit, but I enjoyed an heirloom salad, a beautiful steak with mashed potatoes and roasted brussels, and a cute Cinderella-themed chocolate hazlenut desert that was to die for. The food was comparable to a nice sit-down restaurant in Houston (which is a foodie city!) so I was more than happy.

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

Even better, the Champagne prices at Cinderella’s Royal Table were quite reasonable! Flights start at around $14. Because I visited during the 50th Anniversary celebration, I enjoyed the Royal 50th Anniversary Celebration Champagne Flight. It was 3 full glasses of champage for just over $20 – all with different presentations. It was delish and gave me a nice little buzz.

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

(It’s worth it to note that the ONLY two places to get alcohol in the Magic Kingdom are at Cinderella’s Royal Table or Be Our Guest – another reason to visit!)

I visited during COVID so Cinderella only made an appearance. I’m not sure if she normally walks around and greets diners, but seeing her was still a magic touch to a great dining experience.

My only complaint was that the dining area was a bit small so it sometimes felt cramped and loud. However, I would dine at Cinderella’s Royal Table again if given the opportunity!

Be Our Guest

Be Our Guest is located in Fantasyland behind Cinderella’s Castle. As you walk up, you’ll see Beast’s Castle sitting ominously up a hill. The entire entrance is thematic and so cute – from gargoyles to castmembers dressed in traditional era-appropriate French attire.

Be Our Guest is huge, especially compared to Cinderella’s Royal Table, and has 3 distinct dining areas: the Grand Ballroom, the West Wing, and the Castle Library. If you have any say in where you sit, request the Grand Ballroom first and the West Wing second. The Grand Ballroom is decorated just like the ballroom where Beast & Belle have their first dance in the movies and it is so romantic and beautiful. In the West Wing, you’ll find Beast’s enchanted rose. The Castle Library is cute enough but it is not as reminiscent of the movies and just has a statue of Beast & Belle dancing.

I was lucky enough to be seated in the Grand Ballroom which provided the perfect view of Beast when he made his appearances. It was so magical!

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

Be Our Guest is a fine-dining exerience just like Cinderella’s Royal Table. This means it’ll run you $60+ for lunch or dinner service. However, breakfast is not available here, unlike Cinderella’s Royal Table. I enjoyed the French onion soup, steak with haricots verts & mashed potatoes, and the desert trio:

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

Everything was delicious but I especially enjoyed the dessert trio. In the center you’ll see the chocolate tart with grey stuff and a white chocolate “Chip” – how cute is that?

I mentioned above that Be Our Guest and Cinderella’s Royal Table are the only two places to drink alcohol in the Magic Kingdom, so you know that I got a glass of bubbly! Is there anything better than enjoying a glass of wine in a grand ballroom?

disney tourist blog cinderella's royal table

Be Our Guest was where I felt the most “Disney Magic” during my 5 days at the parks. I was giddy throughout the entire meal service and felt like a kid again. It was the feeling I was looking for when I booked my trip to Disney World and I would absolutely go back again.

How to Get Reservations at Cinderella’s Royal Table or Be Our Guest

As I’m sure you can guess, it’s really hard to get reservations at Be Our Guest or Cinderella’s Royal Table. Both restaurants book up literally months in advance, but don’t despair! I was able to snag reservations at both restaurants and I only booked my Disney trip a few weeks before going.

The secret is Mousedining . Sign up for Mousedining (they do have free options!) and put in alerts for both Cinderella’s Royal Table and Be Our Guest. Select lunch and dinner service for each to give yourself the best chance of snagging a seat. I marked Mousedining emails as “VIP” in my inbox so that I got push notifications whenever an email alert was sent. Eventually, voila! Seats at two of the most popular WDW restaurants became available for me.

Don’t forget to check out other Walt Disney World tips for first-timers ! And, of course, this packing list is a must-read before visiting Disney !

Which is better, Be Our Guest or Cinderella’s Royal Table?

Honestly, both restaurants are spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at both so you cannot go wrong with either. If you’re lucky enough to have your pick of the two, however, I would recommend Be Our Guest. Be Our Guest felt the most magical to me – from the decor to the food to the service, everything was spotless. I felt like a kid again at Be Our Guest and would pick it over Cinderella’s Royal Table if time was limited.

What are your thoughts? Have you been to both restaurants Add your thoughts to the comments below!
