Even less coverage than I expected, but nice if you don't need any and want just a hint of moisture. Taking off a star no included brush as advertised

This tint looks fancy and pretty but unfortunately didn’t gilled up my expectations, I returned; its lightweight and smooth but doesn’t cover much and doesn’t leave a velvet/ hydrating finish, I didn’t like it.

My favorite Tint. Live the travel size. Highly recommend.

Great product not sticky,or greasy. Goes on smooth. Good for dry skin.

The way it dispenses is very watery so it spreads well and dries to a powder finish. I was hoping for a glowing finish. Said it came with an applicator brush but it did NOT. I think a brush is definitely needed for an even application.

If you don't need to hide any blemishes and want your skin to shine through, this is for you. I love that it's moisturizing and gives my skin a very healthy glow. It's definitely a "your skin, but better" product.

I’m fair to lt medium skin and the tint gives my skin just a little color as I had been in the sun. I use it over moisturizer. It doesn’t cover spots or blemishes but still looks very natural. Doesn’t settle into lines. I love the natural tint it gives my skin. I’m over 60 and I feel less is more in my case and no heavy makeup feel. Love the Chanel brand of foundation.

Chanel’s New Glow-Boosting Skin Tint Makes Me Look Like I Just Had the Best Facial of My Life

As a beauty writer, I’m dutifully discerning when I assess products. Over the years, I’ve loved countless complexion-enhancers — skin tints, BB creams , and foundations — though few have enchanted me like Chanel’s Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint : a skin-enhancing new release from the brand’s summer collection, Les Beiges.

When I initially tried the tint, I FaceTimed my twin sister — who, after witnessing my glowing, no makeup makeup look — was so impressed by the little skin-perfecting luxury, she now plans to snag a bottle for herself.

The Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint is a semi-sheer, buildable product that imparts a luminous, natural glow and long-lasting hydration. Truly traceless, it wears like skin — skin after a stellar facial, that is, or skin lit by fantastically flattering lighting. It comes in eight shades, which are sheer enough to accommodate a broader range of skin tones than suggested. (I’ve used “light deep” and “medium light,” for instance.) The key differentiator in the formula: It’s brimming with moisturizing microspheres  (patented MicroFluidic Technology, per the brand) that are packed tightly and visible through the clear glass bottle. Expelled via a pump-top bottle, the spheres burst on application, releasing moisture and sheer color. 

Composed of 70 percent water, the formula is also spiked with tamarind extract that hydrates for up to eight hours. In addition to its instant wash of quenching color, the formula does, in fact, maintain its glowy, hydrated appeal throughout the day. To test the claim, I studied my skin under fluorescent lighting in our office (which I once heard someone say makes skin look “crusty”). Despite the unflattering environment, my skin remained luminous, if I may say so myself, well beyond 5 pm. 

Buildable, breathable, and always radiant, the tint can be worn solo or sandwiched. For a no makeup makeup look that suggests stellar sleep hygiene and a fridge stocked with kale, just a single swipe suffices, sans anything over top. For a candlelit, filter-like glow that’s perfect for night, a pump or two beneath a fuller-coverage foundation does the trick — without caking or pilling.

An incidental pro: This formula is a breeze to apply. I’ve dabbed it slowly, intentionally, with a beauty sponge; I’ve also slapped it on, mirrorless, in an Uber — using my bare, slightly sweaty, coffee-jittered hands en route to work. Both approaches produced equally stunning results, leading me to conclude that the formula is virtually foolproof. 

As with all Chanel products I’ve tried, the Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint features a light fragrance. More of a backdrop to the application experience than a perfumey, on-the-nose feature, for me, at least, the scent conjures fresh-cut flowers from a Parisian street cart. Importantly, it’s non-irritating, too.

If radiant, hydrated skin — that resembles skin — is appealing, I implore you to shop Chanel’s Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint . I’m snagging the $45 travel-size version next in advance of summer vacation plans. After all, I’d like my skin to look its absolute best at all times.

I'm one of those people who has chronically dry skin . No matter how many glasses of water I guzzle or pumps of hyaluronic acid I use, combatting dry skin is something that I'm always thinking about. So along with my skin care, I expect my makeup to also help me work toward the goal of full-time dewiness — not just superficially. I'm all about hard-working, multitasking makeup that won't actually make my skin worse after I take it off.

Say hello to my latest makeup obsession: Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint . A hybrid between a tinted moisturizer and light-coverage foundation, the hydrating formula on this baby is truly revolutionary. The foundation itself is made with MicroFluidic technology, meaning it's composed of 75 percent water. You can literally see the droplets of water in the bottle and when you pump it onto your hand.

When you pump the foundation onto the back of your hand, you'll see the water mixed with little droplets of color. Take the handy brush that comes with the product and blend the water and microdroplets — it mixes into smooth, lightweight pigment that glides onto your skin like butter.

It's definitely on the lighter side when it comes to coverage, but it leaves skin with the perfect blur and a nice pillowy glow. The Skin Tint That Made Me Ditch My Favorite Foundation

A review of Chanel’s Water-Fresh Tint.

Chalk it up to taking a break from makeup for over a year, but I’ve become foundation averse. While I still love a bold lip or dramatic eye look , my face seems to reject any full-coverage base and foundation just feels too heavy. Sure, I could go the tinted moisturizer or BB cream route. But skin tints, which I’ve lately noticed are growing in popularity, caught my eye.

A skin tint is basically a more sheer tinted moisturizer. It feels weightless on the skin and won’t clog pores (which is a must if you have oily skin like me). There’s just enough of a tint so that it gives you a natural-looking glow for that coveted no-makeup-makeup look. After trying a few, I found my favorite: The Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint. It was love at first sight and now I’m truly a devotee.

First Up The Basics

This skin tint comes in five shades and has a gel texture, which contains pigmented micro-droplets that blend into your complexion and match your exact skin tone . You get buildable, light-to-medium coverage that is enough to blur blemishes and hyperpigmentation without looking too done up. As for the finish? It’s nice and naturally dewy without making my skin look shiny or oily.

Chanel’s Les Beige Water-Fresh Tint is also made with 75 percent water. Within the formula, you’ll find hydrating ingredients like tamarind seed extract for an extra boost of moisture. Bonus for anyone with dry skin : It promises to keep your complexion hydrated for eight hours.

Application is simple and straight-forward. I find that I just need two pumps to adequately cover my entire face. It comes with a brush, but I like to smooth it on with my hands to really blend it in. The feel is really refreshing (like the name implies), like adding a second lightweight moisturizer.

Why I’m Obsessed

I love that it adds more hydration to my skin and the pigmented micro-droplets do a very good job of blending in seamlessly with my skin tone. But I am obsessed with the dewy finish. My skin just glows in all the right places, really heightening the hard work my skin care does to keep my skin healthy.

It also completely simplifies my everyday makeup routine. All I use is this, mascara, and eyeliner to my bottom waterline, and I’m out the door.

If you’re looking for the ultimate no-makeup makeup look or want to achieve that enviable dewy glow, this is how you do it. All you need is two pumps of this to elevate your skin into looking like its best. You couldn’t ask for more.

In the subsequent archaeological epochs, in the western Urals, the processes of differentiation of the ancient Finno-Ugric population took place. Later, about one thousand years ago, the Udmurt ethnos formed.

In the 10th century, significant impact on the ancient Udmurts was their inclusion in the Volga Bulgaria state. Since the 13th century, the southern Udmurts were under the influence of the Golden Horde, and then - the Kazan Khanate. The largest handicraft, cult and administrative center of the northern Udmurts, who remained independent during the Middle Ages, was Idnakar.

In the 12th-13th centuries, the first Russian settlements appeared on the Vyatka River. By the 15th century, the northern Udmurts were included in the Grand Duchy of Moscow. In 1552, after Moscow conquered the Kazan Khanate, the northern and southern Udmurts found themselves within the borders of one state.

In the 17th-18th centuries, the development of this territory began, the first enterprises were built, metallurgy and production of weapons were the most developed industries. Since 1731, the mass conversion of the Udmurts to Christianity began.

Until the middle of the 18th century, the population of Udmurtia was engaged mainly in agriculture and crafts. In the late 1750s and early 1760s, the largest industrial enterprises - Izhevsk and Votkinsk plants were built. In 1774-1775, the Udmurts took part in the peasant war led by Emelian Pugachev.

In the second half of the 19th century, there was a rapid development of industrial production, new factories, schools, gymnasiums were opened. In 1889, in the south of the territory of present Udmurtia, the first railways were built. The railways played an important role in the economic development of the region. In the 18th - early 20th centuries, the Udmurt lands were part of the Vyatka province.

On November 4, 1920, Votskaya Autonomous Oblast was formed. In 1921, Izhevsk became the capital city of the region. On January 1, 1932, it was renamed into Udmurt Autonomous Oblast. On December 28, 1934, it became the Udmurt Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. During the Second World War, dozens of industrial enterprises from Kiev, Kharkov, Baku, Odessa, Podolsk and other cities were evacuated to Udmurtia.

On November 4, 1990, the Supreme Soviet of the Udmurt ASSR proclaimed the sovereignty of the republic, the region received a new name - the Udmurt Republic or simply Udmurtia. The collapse of the USSR caused a deep crisis in the economy of Udmurtia, which especially struck the engineering industry focused on military production.

Today, the status of the national republic and the defense orientation of the region’s industry largely determine the socio-economic and cultural identity of the Republic of Udmurtia.

Udmurtia - Features

Udmurtia is located in the east of the East European Plain, on the territory adjacent to the western slope of the Urals. The length of the territory from north to south is about 297 km, from west to east - 200 km.

The climate is moderately continental with cold snowy winters and warm summers. The average temperature in July is about plus 18 degrees Celsius, in January - minus 14 degrees Celsius.

The Udmurts are the indigenous population of the region. It is one of the ancient East-Finnish peoples of the northwestern forest area of the Urals. The total number of the Udmurts in the world is about 750 thousand people. About 65% of them live in the Udmurt Republic. The state languages of the republic are Russian and Udmurt.

The national composition of Udmurtia according to the 2010 census: Russians (62.2%), Udmurts (28%), Tatars (6.7%). The largest cities and towns of Udmurtia are Izhevsk (645,200), Votkinsk (96,100), Sarapul (93,400), Glazov (91,200), Mozhga (48,200).

The main mineral resource of Udmurtia is oil. The explored industrial oil reserves are about 300 million tons, with an annual production of 10 million tons. Today, all major deposits have been developed for decades and are in the stage of falling production. The republic also produces coal and peat.

Udmurtia also has industrial reserves of limestone, dolomite, building sand, crushed stone, clay for production of bricks, building stone, sand-gravel mixture. About 46% of the territory is covered with forests, half of which are coniferous.

The largest rivers of Udmurtia - the Kama and the Vyatka - have origins in the north of the republic. From the south-east and south, Udmurtia is washed by the Votkinsk and Nizhnekamsk reservoirs, formed on the Kama River as a result of the construction of dams of hydroelectric power stations.

Udmurtia - Economy

The Udmurt Republic is a region with developed industry and diversified agricultural production. It has the highest concentration of defense enterprises in Russia. The main industries are machine building, metalworking, ferrous metallurgy, and woodworking.

Cars and vans, paper machines, motorcycles, equipment for oil fields, hunting and sporting guns, chemical equipment are produced in the region. Izhmash (formerly Izhevsk Arms Factory) is Russia’s largest producer of small arms, created by the decree of Emperor Alexander I in 1807. Logging is conducted in the northern and western parts of the republic.

Agricultural lands occupy about 50% of the territory of the republic. Rye, wheat, buckwheat, barley, oats, millet, peas, corn, sunflower, flax, rape, potatoes, vegetables, forage crops are grown.

The only airport of the republic is located in Izhevsk. Several federal highways pass through the territory of Udmurtia: M7 (access to Izhevsk and Perm), P320, P321, P322. The leading role in interregional relations of the Udmurt Republic is played by rail transport carrying out the bulk of interregional transport of goods and passengers.

Tourism in Udmurtia

Tourist complex of Udmurtia includes about 2.5 thousand objects. Many of them are related to the life and work of such world-famous people as Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Mikhail Timofeevich Kalashnikov, Galina Alekseevna Kulakova, Nadezhda Andreevna Durova.

There are more than 150 accommodation places for tourists, 32 museums, over 2 thousand historical and cultural monuments, natural parks, reserves and monuments, sports complexes. Rural tourism is also developing. The reception of tourists in rural areas is organized by about 150 private households.

The main souvenirs of Udmurtia are handicrafts: woven bags, tapestries, felt products, folk toys, carved wooden souvenirs, boxes, birch bark, trinkets made from Ural gems.

• Museum-Exhibition Complex named after Kalashnikov in the central square of Izhevsk,
• Architectural and Ethnographic Museum-Reserve “Ludorvai” located not far from Izhevsk, examples of old Russian and Udmurt buildings,

• Sarapul - a town where you can feel the atmosphere of pre-revolutionary Russia; the pearl of Sarapul is the villa of the merchant Bashenin;
• Source of the Kama River in the village of Kuliga in Debessky district,
• Old Believers villages in the north of the Udmurt Republic and the Siberian tract museum (Igrinsky district), a place where you can feel like a convict of the Russian Empire times,
• Cedar Grove in Zayakino - a nature monument of regional importance,
• Zuevy Springs - the southernmost point of Udmurtia where the Kama spreads almost to the horizon, pilgrims from all over Russia come here to visit the Holy and Gremyachiy springs with healing water,
• Mount Baigurez - a hill on the bank of the Cheptsa River, one of the most beautiful places in Udmurtia with a magnificent view of the surroundings,
• Baba Yaga Residence in the village of Kotlovka in Grahovsky district, on the bank of the Yaga River. Baba Yaga is a character (a forest witch) of Russian folk tales,
• Holy Assumption Convent in the village of Perevoznoye in Votkinskiy district.

There are several sanatoriums and curing resorts in Udmurtia, the largest of them are “Varzi-Yatchi”, “Metallurg” (located in Izhevsk) and “Uva”. In 2000s, new recreation centers came into being - the mountain skiing centers of “Chekeril” and “Nechkino”.

5 fascinating reasons to visit the Urals republic of Udmurtia

The Republic of Udmurtia, 750 miles northeast of Moscow, offers the authentic ethnic color of the Middle Urals, villages, folk music and - strange as it may seem - a concentration of defense industry plants. Here is Russia Beyond’s guide to the top attractions in in the capital of the republic, Izhevsk, and its environs if you find yourself here.

1. Fire an AK-47

Izhevsk is the city where Mikhail Kalashnikov, the designer of the most popular assault rifle in the world, the AK-47, lived and worked. The museum carrying his name is situated in the very center of Izhevsk near Krasnaya [Red] Square. The museum's collection has more than a hundred types and models of the AK-47  (the AK stands for Avtomat Kalashnikova - Kalashnikov's Automatic) but at the very least it is worth a visit for its shooting gallery. Here anyone can fire a rifle, automatic weapon or pistol provided they have two IDs (for instance, passport and driving license) on them and about $17.

2. Play Pyotr Tchaikovsky's grand piano

Pyotr Tchaikovsky's family estate is situated 30 miles northeast of Izhevsk, in the small Urals town of Votkinsk. Here the future composer of "Swan Lake" and "The Nutcracker" spent the first eight years of his life and composed his earliest works.

Today it combines a modern multimedia museum and a historical reconstruction of life in the 19th century. The best time to visit is in the summer. But you can listen to a symphony orchestra, go on a night quest around the estate and taste pancakes with herbal tea and "tsar's jam" made from Urals grapes at any time.

The most precious exhibit here is the German-made Wirth grand piano on which little Pyotr used to play. Every year in March admirers of the composer and musicians from all over the world come to a Tchaikovsky festival in Votkinsk. The keenest guests are allowed to play on the grand piano, so you can try your luck.

3. Taste Udmurt cuisine

Udmurt national cuisine abounds with baked dishes, exotic names and homemade infusions. Perepecha (a sort of Udmurt version of pizza), tabani (thin flat dough cakes), kystyby (another Udmurt flat cake) with caviar and eggs, and dumplings with sauerkraut - you should try all of them without delay! But be careful with alcoholic infusions: They are treacherous and not to everyone's taste. But you have no chance of getting away without trying peshchatem (a hot drink based on home-distilled alcohol, herbal tea and honey) with which guests are usually greeted.

You can try all these recipes at the Bobrovaya Dolina ethnic center at 4, Sverdlov Street. There you will also find examples of Udmurt design and Udmurt steam baths. Or you can go to the Khokhloma restaurant , which offers a menu of Russian and Udmurt dishes.

4. Visit the village where the Buranovo Grannies live

After the hitherto little known grandmothers from the village of Buranovo (20 miles south of Izhevsk) took part in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012 and won the hearts of millions of people with their explosive song "Party for Everybody", hordes of tourists rushed to their native village. Now it is one of Udmurtia's main attractions. The most interesting thing in Buranovo is of course the grannies themselves - the members of a folklore group are always happy to see anyone who wants to talk to them. Ask anyone how to find the grannies and they will help you since the village has only 640 inhabitants. Or come on their day, May 26.

In addition, Buranovo is a good place for ecotourism, where you can immerse yourself in rural life or go horse riding.

5. Go to an ethnic festival

Fortunately, there are so many of them in Udmurtia that, whenever you come here, there will be a festival of something somewhere nearby. In November, the republic's government unveiled a Calendar of Event Tourism listing all the events of the year. Would you like a gastronomic tour of Finno-Ugric cuisine? Then the Byg-Byg festival (Staryye Bygi village, 5 July) is for you. To see Udmurt culture, beautiful countryside and items of folklore, go to the Gerber festival (Pekshur village, 16 June). And, to take another example, the Rus Druzhinnaya festival (Kudrino village, in July) is about how in old Russia they not only fought in wars but also put on battle professionally for entertainment. Enjoy two days in a tent camp with a field kitchen, re-enactments and, of course, doing battle "Slav style".
