Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Equinox To Homeport In Port Canaveral

Celebrity Cruises has announced Port Canaveral as the homeport for  Celebrity Equinox from December 2024 through April 2025! The cruise line is the seventh to choose Port Canaveral as its homeport.

Celebrity Cruises' ship Equinox homeported in Port Canaveral Florida (winter 2024-2025)

Celebrity Cruises has revealed that Port Canaveral (Florida USA) will serve as homeport for Celebrity Equinox ship during winter season 2024-2025 (December thru April). This decision solidifies the company as the 7th major cruise line to select Port Canaveral as homeport.

Captain John Murray (Port's CEO) expressed excitement about this partnership, stating they were delighted to welcome Celebrity Cruises as their new collaborator and privileged to play a role in their Caribbean expansion strategy. He also emphasized the growing demand for Celebrity Cruise sailings from the port, highlighting the opportunities this collaboration brings to a larger number of travelers seeking the high-quality cruise experience provided by Celebrity Equinox.

Celebrity Equinox will introduce a total of 20 itineraries sailing from Port Canaveral. The ship boasts 15 decks , 1426 passenger staterooms , and a capacity of 2850 guests.

Having undergone a multi-million-dollar refresh in 2019, Celebrity Equinox elevated its onboard suite experience with The Retreat - an exclusive indoor lounge, sundeck, and fine-dining restaurant accessible only to suite guests. These enhancements were aimed at enhancing comfort and luxury for this segment of passengers.

The ship offers a range of ten dining and cocktail options, including a new addition called Craft Social, which features craft beer and comfort food.

The selection of itineraries includes seven-night voyages to various destinations such as The Bahamas, Belize, Grand Cayman , Mexico, San Juan , and St. Maarten . Furthermore, Celebrity Cruises is offering two sailings to their private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay , scheduled for March 1st and March 15th, 2025.

It will be the seventh major cruise line to choose the port as its home. The ship will offer 20 new itineraries spanning seven nights to the Bahamas, Belize, Grand Cayman, Mexico, San Juan, and St. Maarten.

Port Canaveral is currently the home to Carnival Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and MSC Cruises. 

Celebrity Apex Set to Homeport in Southampton

Celebrity Cruises ’ Apex kicks off its season from Southampton on Wednesday, May 15.

The Apex begins its European season with an eight-night Norwegian Fjords cruise with calls in Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium; Flam, Norway; Geiranger, Norway; Alesund, Norway; and Kristiansand, Norway.

“We’re bringing one of our most innovative ships, Celebrity Apex, to Southampton, providing guests the opportunity to sail in style directly from the UK,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. “It’s an exciting time as we elevate cruising from the region, enabling our guests to explore and restore with premium facilities, elevated food and drink experiences, and exciting activities and entertainment.”

The Celebrity Apex will sail from Southampton through October 2024, with itineraries ranging from four to 13 nights, exploring Northern Europe, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Celebrity Cruises has chosen Port Canaveral to homeport their award-winning Celebrity Equinox to expand the brand’s sailings to the Caribbean starting December 3, 2024, through April 19, 2025. 

Celebrity Cruises is the seventh major cruise line to choose Port Canaveral as its homeport, underscoring the Port’s status as the world’s busiest cruise Port.

The Celebrity Equinox will offer 20 new itineraries sailing from Port Canaveral spanning 7 nights to sought-after destinations like The Bahamas, Belize, Grand Cayman, Mexico, San Juan, and St. Maarten. Just in time for the Spring Break season, two sailings on March 1st and March 15th, 2025, will include stops at their private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Celebrity Equinox is 1,041 feet long, has 122,000 gross tons and features 13 decks, 1,426 staterooms, and accommodates 2,850 passengers.

An award-winning Solstice class ship Celebrity Equinox underwent a multi-million-dollar refresh in 2019, introducing elevated design concepts, and an all-new The Retreat experience including a redesigned private indoor lounge, sundeck, and fine-dining restaurant – all of which are exclusive to suite guests.

Throughout the ship, vacationers enjoy ten exceptional dining and cocktail options, including craft beer and comfort food in the new Craft Social, experience pure bliss at the Spa, or feel the grass beneath their feet while enjoying an outdoor movie, reading a book, or sunbathing at the relaxing Lawn Club.

Celebrity Cruises Announces New Homeport in Florida

Celebrity Constellation, a newly “revolutionized” cruise ship, will offer guests more island time than ever before, with three unique alternating 10- and 11-night roundtrip sailings for the winter 2020 season.

Recent construction and development in Tampa Bay aims to create a truly dynamic, urban lifestyle for workers, residents and visitors alike. The city’s downtown waterfront is currently being transformed through the $3 billion Water Street project. The 50-acre district will feature retail, offices, homes, hotels, culture and education.

Transformation of Tampa’s urban core was enhanced by the completion of the Tampa Riverwalk, an area now seeing hundreds of millions of dollars in private investments. In addition, historic Ybor’s City’s revitalization further adds to Tampa’s uniqueness as a robust and desirable world-class destination.

Following a leisurely 14-night Transatlantic crossing out of Barcelona, Celebrity Constellation will begin offering guests three unique itineraries, including a 10-night Eastern Caribbean escape, calling San Juan, Puerto Rico; Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; and Samana, Dominican Republic; an 11-night Southern Caribbean trek with visits to Key West, Florida; Kralendijk, Bonaire; Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curacao; and George Town, Grand Cayman; as well as a brand new 11-night “Touch Canal” itinerary, sailing to Cozumel, Mexico; Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; the Panama Canal; Colon, Panama; Cartagena, Colombia; and George Town, Grand Cayman.

Celebrity Constellation is currently scheduled to undergo its “revolutionary” modernization in May 2020 as part of THE CELEBRITY REVOLUTION, Celebrity’s $500 million investment in ship-wide upgrades and breathtaking reimagined spaces, taking the brand’s fleet to the Edge.
