How to Visit Camp Nou: Barcelona Stadium Visit Info 2024

a view of the pitch at camp nou barcelona

Wanna know how to visit Camp Nou? Camp Nou Stadium tours can take this already historic stadium to a new level.

Home to legendary FC Barcelona, aside from taking the field yourself (you actually can!) the Nou Camp tour is the best way to experience world class football.

In fact, this Barcelona stadium tour is the second biggest tourist attraction in Catalonia behind the epic Sagrada Familia.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to visit Nou Camp in one handy guide.

Can You Visit Camp Nou?

ATTENTION (01/29/24): On May 29th 2023 Camp Nou started an aggressive renovation project. During the renovation it won’t be possible to book traditional Camp Nou tours. There is only one, which I’ll get to below.

Yes, you can visit Camp Nou, the iconic home stadium of FC Barcelona.

There are several ways to visit Barcelona football stadium:

  • Camp Nou Immersive Tour : This is the only way to visit Camp Nou in 2024 . It includes access to the museum, an audio guide, some looks into the construction, and the Spotify Camp Nou Live immersive room.
  • Match Days : Attending a live football match at Camp Nou is an incredible experience, but in 2024 you won’t be able to! They’re currently playing at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys until November 2024.
  • Guided Tours : Opt for a guided tour if you want a more in-depth and informative visit. These will return in November 2024!
  • VIP Experience : For a premium visit, consider VIP packages that offer exclusive access, premium seating, and hospitality services.

How to Visit Camp Nou: Visiting Barcelona Football Stadium

Again, from June 7th 2023 the only tickets you can get to visit Camp Nou are for the Immersive Tour .

This includes the museum visit with an English audio guide + access to the audiovisual space Spotify Camp Nou Live.

You’ll find many online ticket resellers, but we recommend relying on our collaborator Tiqets, which help us to keep this blog (which we’ve dedicated 1000’s of hours to) free.

Here’s a link to book the only current Camp Nou tour left:

Every Camp Nou booking helps us get closer to doing this blog for a living, so thank you 🙏

Visit Nou Camp: The Museum

It’s here in this modern and interactive space that you appreciate just how good this club is.

You’ll start off listening to the team anthem with a translation in just about any language needed.

It’s in the museum where you can flip through touch screens with tons of info on the club’s greatest players. You’ll also get a great snapshot into the team’s history watching a video presentation of some of the club’s biggest moments on a massive screen.

⚠️  Warning ⚠️ : Barcelona’s top two attractions must now be booked in advance .

You can book fast track tickets to both individually or get them as part of a discount pass:

  • ⛪ Buy now:  Sagrada Familia Fast Track Admission (skip the lines)
  • 🏞️ Buy now:  Park Guell Fast Track Admission  (skip the lines)
  • 🎟️  Buy now: Best of Barcelona Bundle (Sagrada + Park Guell + 10% discount code for all else)

You will not be able to book these tickets on site – lock in your tickets ASAP or you could miss out.

You can visit Barcelona football stadium and take a selfie with the 22 League trophies and 4 Champions League trophies .

There’s just a ton of memorabilia and equipment spanning the club’s 100+ years of history.

Top it all off with a visit to the largest official FC Barcelona team shop.

Camp Nou Visit Prices

Adding the camp nou museum audio guide.

The audio guide to visit Nou Camp, available in English , is not included in the standard ticket and  must be added during the booking .

It costs €6.00 and I recommend it only to those who are truly interested in curiosities about Barça.

You can request earphones or bring your own headphones .

The duration of the audio guide is about 1 hour and is concentrated in the museum part, so if you are accompanied by someone who has little patience, perhaps it is not for you.

During this visit of Barcelona Football Stadium it’ll go into deep detail about:

  • Paulino Alcantara’s shoes (the first Messi of 1910)
  • The history of the first FC Barcelona stadium
  • What happened during the Franco dictatorship
  • Anecdotes about the goalscorer Kubala in the 1950s
  • The construction of Camp Nou
  • Tidbits about Johan Cruijff, Maradona, Ronaldinho, and Messi

guest scoring a goal against the robokeeper on the camp nou tour in barcelona spain

This is our favorite part of the Camp Nou visit! Here you can try to beat the world’s best keeper – which is actually a robot.

Three shots cost €6 . 00 and you can pay it straight to the guy at the start of the queue.

There’s really only one way to score here, and that’s burying it Beckham-style into the top corner 😉

In fact, there’s a video online of Messi and Neymar missing – so good luck!

Oscar naturally buried his first shot, then decided to retire.

Final score: Barcelona Hacks 1 – FC Barcelona 0.

Camp Nou Visiting Hours

Camp Nou Stadium Tour History

By the late 1940’s rising football power FC Barcelona had outgrown the Camp de Les Corts and needed a new stadium to house all the new fans generated by star striker Ladislao Kubala .

Cue the aptly named Camp Nou (‘New Camp’).

The city broke ground on this UEFA five star stadium on March 28th, 1954.

When the last brick was laid Camp Nou had a capacity of 99,354 . The ground was set for some of the greatest teams in football history to frustrate opponents – like hated rivals Real Madrid.

Long before any tours of Camp Nou the stadium hosted the Olympics, World Cup (with 120,000 spectators including added standing tickets), the Champions League Final , and even the Pope.

A €600 million Camp Nou renovation project is currently underway – but the games go on!

So, make sure to make your Barcelona football stadium visit in 2024 count 🙂

  • January 29, 2020 at 9:02 pm Emma Pomells Firstly ... your site is incredible!!! My son is a huge Messi fan so will probably want the the whole FC barça card ticket. However as I am just tagging along, and definitely not joining in with a virtual training session, can I just buy a standard open ticket and be allowed to go wherever he goes?? Thanks Emma Reply
  • November 20, 2019 at 3:22 am spankwire The Camp Nou is the biggest football stadium in Europe, and it has been the setting for countless dramatic moments and wild celebrations. If you are a fan of FC Barcelona (or football in general) you will relish the opportunity to visit the stadium when it is empty. You will be able to enjoy getting up close to the trophy gallery and European cups while learning more about the master himself, Lionel Messi. Reply
  • September 12, 2019 at 1:27 pm Lucile Hola Brandi, I will advise you to go there on your arrival date in order to have the full experience, moreover if your sons are huge fans. If necessary, the stadium has a locker where you can leave your luggage and bags. Anyway, I'm sure your sons will still be more than happy with only the museum and the match ;) On a Champion's League match day you can access to the museum and panoramic view until 3 pm. Cheers, Lucile Reply

Guaranteed Entrance Ticket

Camp Nou is the most visited museum in Barcelona. The only attraction more visited than the Camp Nou (Stadium and Museum) is the  Sagrada Família  which attracts over 4.5 million visitors per year (2016). While the queues at the Sagrada Família are notorious, the queues at Camp Nou can last one or even two hours in the peak tourist season.

However, you can avoid the queues very easily by following these tips:

1- Get your guaranteed entry by buying your  Camp Nou  Tour ticket in advance.

  • This is the easiest way to facilitate your visit and guarantee your entry at the right time.
  • Each ticket sold on this site  requires you to choose a date and time slot for your visit,  guaranteeing you avoid the queue.
  • Tickets purchased at the stadium box office cost more because of the processing fee, another good reason to buy your ticket in advance.

2- Avoid queuing by booking a guided tour.

  • Booking a guided tour of Camp Nou also gives you priority access to the stadium.
  • You and your group will save time in the queues. You will get the most out of your visit.

3- Choose the right time slot

  • Camp Nou is open all week.
  • The best time to visit Camp Nou is in the morning when it opens at 10 am and from 3 pm.
  • Weekends are more visited than other days of the week.
  • Finally, avoid match days to make the most of your day.

Can you buy Camp Nou tour tickets on the day ?

Yes, you can buy Camp Nou tour tickets on the day either online on this page or at the ticket office. On the spot, it is a bit more expensive and on busy days you might not find any entrances.

Camp Nou FAQ

Answers to your most frequently asked questions about the Camp Nou visit.

Yes, it is necessary to book the visit to Camp Nou as soon as possible. The number of tickets is limited for sanitary reasons (Covid19) but also to guarantee the comfort of the visitors. Our advice is to buy your ticket on this page as soon as you know the dates of your stay in Barcelona. However, you can also buy tickets at the stadium's ticket office, but you will have to wait in a queue and you will not be sure to get your ticket in the end.

The entrance for the Camp Nou visit closes one hour and a half before the official closing time of the whole site. This is the ideal time to visit the stadium and the museum. For example, if the official closing time is 7:30pm, you must arrive at 6pm to do the tour.

The average length of the visit to the Camp Nou - stadium and museum - is between 1h30 and 2h. None of the tours are time-limited, so you can stay as long as you like!

No, the price of the ticket at the stadium ticket office is higher than the ticket purchased online because it includes additional management fees. On the other hand, Camp Nou advises buying your ticket online in order to avoid queues depending on the availability of the different time slots.

Yes, you can show your Camp Nou tour ticket on your smartphone or tablet.

Unfortunately not. Once the "Camp Nou Experience" tickets have been issued, it will not be possible to postpone the visit, cancel it or get a refund.

The entrance to the Camp Nou Tour - stadium and museum - is in front of the FC Barcelona ice rink. The access is between the Barça Café and the Barça Store Camp Nou.

Yes and no, on match days, some of the Barça facilities are reserved for the match. The full tour or guided tours are not possible:

  • The museum will be open.
  • You will have access to the Gallery of Trophies, the history of the Club, and the Messi Area.
  • You will be able to enjoy a panoramic view of the field, until 3 hours before kickoff.

>> Note that there is a discount on the price of tickets for the Camp Nou on match days - this discount is shown when you select the number of tickets.

Please note: On Champions League days, this restriction extends from the day before as well as the price reduction applies.

Unfortunately you will not attend a training match of the Barcelona football club players during the visit of the Camp Nou. Since 2008 the training is no longer done at Camp Nou but at La Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper which is located in Sant Joan Despi, 8.5 kilometers from Camp Nou. These training sessions are not open to the public. The only way to meet the champions now is to go to the Mini Estadi around January 5 of each year, date on which the blaugranas train for the only time of the year in public. The entrance ticket is 10€. Ticket to be found on the spot that day. (Check the date of this match which may be moved due to Liga calendar).

The visit of the Camp Nou is not suitable for the people in wheelchair due to a very large number of stairs throughout the course. Nevertheless the museum with the trophy room, the historical frieze, the Messi space as well as the panoramic view of the stadium are wheelchair-friendly.

The club also offers a special service for the disabled - The Specialized Services Office (OAE) available on +34 902 1899 00

Camp Nou Renovation

Spotify Camp Nou, opened in 1957, is the home stadium of FC Barcelona , built as a replacement for the old Les Corts complex. Designed by Francesc Mitjans Miró and Josep Soteras Mauri, its construction cost 288 million Spanish pesetas. With a capacity of 99,354, it is the largest stadium in Europe, although its capacity has been adjusted over the years.

In 1999, it received the UEFA Five-Star status, which in 2010 changed to Category 4. Camp Nou was in need of renovation and no longer met current and future standards. After years of planning, the renovation of Camp Nou is now in full swing. Are you curious about how the renovation of Camp Nou will proceed and what the renewed Camp Nou will look like? In this post, I will tell you everything about the renovation of Camp Nou.

What will the renewed Camp Nou look like?

The overall transformation of Spotify Camp Nou will turn it into the largest stadium in Europe, with a capacity to accommodate 104,000 spectators. Instead of building a completely new stadium, the structure of two original stands will be retained as the basis for the renovation. Eventually, the stadium will contain three rings with a double hospitality space between them. The entire stand will also be covered with a roof.

The Camp Nou Renovation Plans

Ultimately, not only will Camp Nou stadium be renovated, but the entire Barça complex will be revamped. This complex includes, in addition to Camp Nou stadium, newly built offices and hotels, the Palau Blaugrana, an ice rink, and a bus station.

Modifications to Camp Nou Stadium The main changes after the renovation of Camp Nou Stadium will be:

  • Modernization of the stands and entrance for the first ring.
  • Better facilities for disabled people.
  • Expansion of the capacity to 104,000 spectators.
  • Covering of all stands.
  • 2 new floors with VIP spaces above the 2nd ring.
  • Improvement of energy and climate aspects of the stadium.
  • The latest technology in the stadium (including a 5G network).
  • Better accessibility for cyclists and facilities for electric vehicles.

The entire Espai Barça complex after the renovation The New Palau Blaugrana In addition to Camp Nou, the complex contains another stadium, namely Palau Blaugrana. After the renovation, it will have a capacity of up to 15,000 visitors. It is a multifunctional stadium that is the home for other sports of FC Barcelona, such as the basketball team, and can also be used for events and concerts.

Timeline of Camp Nou Renovation

The renovation of Camp Nou will be divided into four phases. In the summer of 2023, the first phase began: the dismantling of the stadium. The top ring of Camp Nou was removed, along with the field and the iconic seats from the stands.

Next, phase two of the project will start: the construction of the first two rings and the installation of facilities in the stadium. The plan is to complete this in November 2024, after which games can be played in Camp Nou again. After this phase, the stadium will be usable for 65,000 spectators, and the museum will also reopen.

Phase three will ultimately consist of building the third ring, the skyboxes, the roof, and the exterior of Camp Nou. According to the schedule, this is to be completed in August 2025, after which the third ring and the VIP areas will be open at 90% capacity. The new FC Barcelona shop will also open at this time.

In August 2026, the fourth and final phase of the Camp Nou stadium renovation will be completed. Ultimately, the stadium will then have its full capacity of 104,000 spectators. The renovation of Camp Nou will take about 1,000 days. At least, that’s the plan.

Simultaneously with the renovation of Camp Nou stadium, work will also be carried out on the renovation and construction of Palau Blaugrana, the buildings on the campus, and the completion of the streets and surroundings of Camp Nou. The final completion date for the entire project is set for the first quarter of 2028.

Temporary Barça Home

Since Barça cannot play in its own Camp Nou for a year, the team has temporarily moved to the Olympic Stadium of Barcelona . Having previously hosted the Olympic Games and RCD Espanyol, it is now temporarily the home of the club. If you want to attend a FC Barcelona match , you will now need to head up Montjuïc for a visit.

1 thought on “camp nou renovation”.

The renovation of Camp Nou was indeed necessary. Sometimes I watched in amazement at how the stands were deteriorating. The plans look fantastic, although some of the nostalgia will be lost.

Inside Barcelona’s ambitious plan to reinvent the Camp Nou

Future Camp Nou

FC Barcelona has entrenched ties with the city’s locals and the Camp Nou stadium ranks among Barcelona’s top tourist attractions; considering the abundance of cultural riches in Catalonia, it shows just how intertwined football has become with the region’s capital.

But, like many other clubs’ stadiums, there comes a time when renovation is necessary. For FC Barcelona this has meant a €360m (£318m) investment in Camp Nou, part of a larger €600m (£530m) project dubbed Espai Barça to ensure that the club equals, and even improves on, the world’s best football arenas. The Espai Barça project’s completion is scheduled for the 2022-23 season.

Although consideration was made to move into other premises, the fact that the club has 85,000 season ticket holders meant that this would not be welcomed by its loyal members. Therefore, the club was tasked with a challenging concept of renovating a 60-year-old stadium, which has only received three additions in its history: the addition of a third tier in time for the 1982 World Cup, a new first tier in 1994, and a club museum.

The swathe of changes include an upgrade of Wi-Fi technology to support the surge in data usage, improvements in VIP hospitality services and an increase in capacity by 6,000 seats.

The changes are also focused on improving the quality of the stadium rather than the quantity of seats. This will be facilitated by constructing an underground parking area to improve access for fans, making the first tier of the stadium more vertical to improve visibility and adding Catalan experiences to the stadium before and after the match.

“This means that coming to Camp Nou would mean more than just a 90-minute game, which is what it is now,” says Jordi Moix, the commissioner of Espai Barça.

A roof will be installed onto the stadium to ensure the home atmosphere is captured to spur on Barça, but more importantly, to ensure that the fans watching inside are protected from rain or even sunlight on the hottest days.

Everything Apple Announced Today

And, in keeping with the fact that the Camp Nou is a sightseeing attraction in a country with a warm climate, visitors will have an open view of the stadium from the outside.

“Most stadiums are covered with a façade, which makes sense for cold climate countries, but Barcelona has a good conditions so we wanted to provide a good city view for the many tourists that come here” explains Takeyuki Katsuya of Nikken Sekkei, the lead designer of Future Camp Nou.

ARENA : Multi-purpose arena with a main hall capacity of 12,500, seating an additional 2,000 in an adjoining hall

ICE RINK : At 30m x 60m, Future Palau Blaugrana boasts an olympic sized rink

PITCHES : Two new replacement football pitches for FCBEscola, the flagship FC Barcelona football school aimed at girls and boys between 6 and 18 years of age

BUS STATION : Buses will now be able to park on the Barcelona campus on match days, without obstructing pedestrian walkways

ESTADI JOHAN CRUYFF : A new 6,000-seat capacity stadium at Barcelona's training facilities at Les Corts campus, 8.5km from Future Camp Nou. The stadium will be served by a surface parking facility with space for 700 vehicles

The trick is in the tech

Yoshiyuki Uchiyama, an architect who worked on the Future Camp Nou project, says that back when it was first constructed in the mid-50s, the designing process was completed using paper and pens. Since then, there has been huge developments in architectural design with building information modelling (BIM) and 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Without any digital information about Camp Nou infrastructure, the design team had to rely on 3D camera scans of the building as a starting point.

“This was an excellent start, but it didn’t help us to know what element was a wall or a column and so a human still had to add those attributes onto our system,” says Uchiyama.

Once this information is added, the architects and engineers know the measurements, materials, safety requirements and a number of other details which can help them with the construction process.

Future Camp Nou

There are other technologies being used too; for the installation of lifts and escalators that will help the fans easily get to and from the second and third tiers, the design team used crowd-simulation technology. This helped them to understand how fast a visitor can get from their seat to the outside plaza, ensuring that the new stairs, lifts and escalators were located properly for safety and general ease of use.

The sustainability of the stadium has also been considered with new technologies including a rainwater harvesting system to water the pitch, and photovoltaic panels to help power floodlights. Meanwhile, the roof will use innovative fabrics with varying transparencies to ensure that there isn’t a strong shadow on the pitch – a nuisance for TV viewers when matches are played during the day.

With an eye to the future, Moix mentions the idea of automated vehicles in the years to come that can further improve the mobility to and from the stadium. This is what many designers believe football stadia will be like in ten or 20 years’ time – more than just about the sport, but about part of the city’s larger ecosystem.

Espai Barça has taken this on board with its idea to have experiences outside of the Future Nou Camp, along with shops, restaurants, a team store, museum and environmentally friendly parks.

Stadiums of the future will have advanced VR and AR enabling spectators to experience the match from multiple angles or different seats, while AI will manage the logistics of every aspect of a fans’ day out – from transport, to hospitality to additional fan experiences, FC Barcelona is taking the first steps in getting there.

LED BOARDS : Four state-of-the-art HD LED boards will be positioned around the roof edge, displaying video content, sponsorships and the match score

MEDIA WALLS : Displaying full-motion graphics and text messages, the new media walls will be used to engage crowds, enhancing the atmosphere of the match

Wi-Fi ACCESS POINTS : Already one of the most connected stadiums in the world, an increased number of access points combined with the open architectural style of Future Camp Nou will raise standards of connectivity within stadiums worldwide

DISTRIBUTED SOUND SYSTEMS : Speakers equipped with onboard electronics work together to distribute sound evenly and coherently through the stadium

LED PITCH LIGHTING AND THEATRICAL LIGHTING : Enhanced LED pitch lighting will improve broadcast images of the games, whilst theatrical light shows will be used to create an atmospheric experience for fans, before and after the game

Works In Spotify Camp Nou Stadium Of Fc Barcelona

Barcelona have been busy showing off some updated images of how the Camp Nou will look once renovations on the famous old stadium are complete.

Work is continuing to modernise the ground, with Barcelona hopeful of moving back in before the end of the year.

Barca are expected to reopen the Camp Nou with a reduced capacity of around 60,000 at first as work continues into 2025.

And here’s what to expect:

We will play here. Just think about it. pic.twitter.com/MxtkY9hQiz — FC Barcelona (@FCBarcelona) August 19, 2024

Barca also showed an image of the planned state-of-the-art aerial walkway which will offer incredible views of the ground and the whole city. It’s probably not one for the faint-hearted though!

Barcelona will continue at Montjuic for now but it hopefully won’t be too long before they are back at home and playing in a fantastic stadium once again.

VIDEO | Camp Nou's Stunning Transformation

Fc barcelona shared new images showcasing the progress of the new stadium with a before-and-after montage. spectacular..

Barcelona surprised their fans by releasing new images showcasing the progress of the new Camp Nou.

They did so with a comparison between how the stadium looked before the renovations began and its current state. The difference is immense.

The renovations of Camp Nou started on June 1, 2023, forcing the team to play at the Olímpico Lluis Companys stadium throughout the past season. The extensive renovation project, which is part of the larger Espai Barça project, aims to modernize the stadium and improve its facilities, making it one of the most advanced sports venues in the world.

Barcelona is counting down the days until they can return home, which won't be until November this year, when the stadium will reopen with two-thirds of its capacity.

The initial reopening will include upgraded seating, improved accessibility, and enhanced fan experience features, such as new VIP areas and state-of-the-art technology.

El Nuevo Santiago Bernabéu

So far, everything is progressing as planned, with some areas advancing even faster than expected. The club has implemented sustainable building practices and innovative construction techniques to ensure the project stays on track.

However, the project won't be 100% complete until the summer of 2026. Once finished, Camp Nou will have an increased capacity of around 105,000 seats, making it the largest stadium in Europe.

Barcelona's camp nou renovation hits milestone with new steel pillars for third stand.

Exciting updates on the new Camp Nou renovation project!

Mundo Deportivo

The construction of the new Camp Nou is making progress, and this past weekend marked an important milestone in the renovation of Barça's stadium. Starting on Friday, large steel pillars were put in place to encircle the cement structure, which is the framework of the old stadium. These pillars will support the creation of the third stand, which will be built on a ring formed by these pillars. This is the main highlight of Barcelona's ambitious project. This information was shared by @Obras_Camp_nou, a Twitter account that provides updates on the daily progress of the renovation of the culé fortress, with just seven months left until the stadium reopens.

It's worth noting that in the original project by Nikken Sikkei, the third tier was not demolished but rather adjusted to be symmetrical and of equal size on both sides and in the grandstand area. However, with the revised plan, the entire third stand was torn down to make way for a new structure and accommodate VIP boxes between it and the second tier.

Barcelona’s Camp Nou renovation plans going as planned; could host first match by end of 2024

In a recent interaction, Barça president Joan Laporta reiterated the club’s ambition to return to the Spotify Camp Nou before the end of 2024.

While he avoided setting a specific date, he assured fans that the renovation work is progressing well and that a return to the iconic stadium remains a top priority.

“We do not want to set dates because things may change, but we are optimistic about returning by the end of the year. It keeps us very excited,” Laporta stated.

Camp Nou renovations going as planned

According to Diario SPORT , work on the stadium has been steadily advancing, with around 1,800 workers and 350 office technicians actively contributing to the project.

The third-tier structure is currently under construction, including foundational elements, while repair and division work in the first and second tiers is also underway.

Exterior urbanization around the stadium has already been completed, and the installation of seats and waterproofing of the stands have begun.

Barcelona’s renovation plans are supported by a €1.45 billion loan from investors, primarily led by Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. The club have assured that the budget remains intact, with external monitoring in place.

When will Barcelona return to Camp Nou?

Although Laporta has refused to set a date on a potential date on the return to Camp Nou, the club do have certain plans in place.

Barcelona’s idea is to return to the Camp Nou with an initial capacity of 64,000 fans. The club have confirmed that the renovation plans for their iconic stadium are progressing as scheduled, with both deadlines and budgets being met as planned.

The main objective is to play a match before the end of the year. Whether or not Barcelona can achieve this target remains to be seen.

Will they keep their word?

Night work will only be allowed indoors and without causing noise. In some areas where there are no nearby homes, such as the old Masía or the Les Corts cemetery, outdoor work will be permitted until midnight . However, no work will take place on the construction site during weekends. The three involved parties reached this agreement during a meeting held late in the afternoon on September 10. As with all decisions, this one will be closely monitored over the next month. If the terms are not followed, the agreement will be voided.

WORKS AT CAMP NOU ARE ACCELERATING

FC Barcelona will be able to work at Spotify Camp Nou 24 hours a day

Published: 11/09/2024 - 21:47h

Updated: 13/09/2024 - 07:39h

Good news for FC Barcelona. The Blaugrana team has reached an agreement with the City Council and the residents of Les Corts to be able to work on the remodelling of the Spotify Camp Nou 24 hours a day

The works at the Spotify Camp Nou continue to progress at a steady pace and this latest agreement with the City Council and the residents of Les Corts will allow them to work on the remodelling works 24 hours a day. This new regulation will begin this Thursday, September 11, under certain conditions and limitations for the workers.

At night, only indoor work will be permitted and without making noise. In areas where there are no flats nearby, such as the Les Corts cemetery or the old Masia, outdoor work will be until midnight and, as before, work will not be allowed in the Blaugrana facilities on weekends . This agreement was reached at a meeting held on September 11 in the afternoon, as reported by 'Beteve'. This agreement will be evaluated after a month and, if the regulations are not met, it may be cancelled.

Barça want to play at Camp Nou again this year

These new regulations will allow the workers to speed up the work with the aim of being able to return to the Spotify Camp Nou at the end of the year , with certain conditions. It is expected that the capacity will be limited in the coming months, because the works will continue even though matches can be played. In his press conference last week, Laporta said the following: "We do not want to set dates because then it may happen later or, even, it may happen before. This is already a reality, you just have to visit the stadium. Despite the obstacles, I believe that by the end of the year we will be able to return. It keeps us very excited."

According to the media 'SPORT', there are about 1,800 people currently working on the construction site, in addition to 350 office technicians. At the moment, work is being done on the structure of the third tier, including everything that involves foundations. Inside the building, repairs and installations are being carried out in the first and second tier. If all goes well, the first match of this year is scheduled to take place on December 22, 2024 against Atlético de Madrid , but renovations could continue until 2026.

Football’s constant demand for ever-larger stadiums has resulted in iconic infrastructures, unusual features and new concepts becoming an unforeseen trend. You may be wondering why, at this point in the season, we should make a list of the most productive. stadiums in the world as things stand.

Well, the answer is simple. The Santiago Bernabeu, home of Europe’s most successful football club, Real Madrid, has recently been renovated and, thanks to a multi-billion pound investment, is now as spotless as ever. It got us thinking: what are the maximum productive football stadiums in today’s world?

Renamed “freedom” after the Iranian revolution, the noise that the Azadi Stadium can generate on a day of good form is out of the ordinary.

It doesn’t hold the record for the largest crowd ever seen in a World Cup qualifier (the remarkable figure of 130,000), but it also houses other facilities besides a swimming pool.

Regardless of the club’s inability to knock Celtic off its pedestal, Rangers enthusiasts continue to flock to the stadium at every opportunity to cheer on their team – win, lose or draw.

The club has survived tough times over the years, encouraging help and the beautiful Scottish stadium have kept the network feel alive in Glasgow.

Portugal is a football-obsessed country, so when it built a new stadium ahead of Euro 2004, something special had to be done, and none in the country compares to Benfica’s 65,647-seat Estadio da Luz.

Home to the country’s most illustrious team, it has become an inspiration for Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium; its tense atmosphere and exuberant worshippers surpass those of North London.

Known for its steep stands and the ambient noise of the 50,000 fans that encapsulate the ground, it turns out that Mestalla’s days are numbered. The Nou Mestalla, whose structure began 16 years ago, was intended to be Valencia’s new playground in 2007. , delays forced its old stadium to stand a little longer.

One thing is for sure: it will be a very sad day when the club packs its bags and leaves. It is one of the most emblematic terrains of Spain.

Originally built in the 1930s, the Stade Vélodrome – home of Marseille – remains the largest interclub floor in France.

The elegant shape of the roof canopy adds a touch of difference to the intelligent design of the stadium and highlights one facet of the pitch: the exhilarating sound of the spectators.

What’s special about Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano is that you feel very devastated and you’re part of a network thanks to the protruding roof. In addition, it does not attract as many tourists as Barça or Real, which means that the environment is one of the most productive. The League has to offer.

That said, Atleti’s famous former ground, the mythical Vicente Calderón, is still missing. This stadium, home of Atlético between 1966 and 2017, demolished several years ago.

First created as a multi-sports venue in 1892, Celtic Park is a cauldron for Scottish football, especially when Old Firm rivals clash.

Being the largest and oldest stadium in Scotland can make a difference in itself and its dividing green colour makes it a must-have for any football fan.

Currently under renovation, Barcelona seeks to reflect the progress of its main rivals by giving your home a much-needed coat of paint. The Catalan team’s well-documented motto “Mes Que Un Club” is synonymous with global football and is inscribed on the stadium seats.

The capacity of the Camp Nou already exceeded the staggering figure of 120,000 for the 1982 World Cup final, but was forced to reduce it due to adjustments in legislation. But this number of enthusiasts is at the same time a testament to its history and its continued appeal.

First opened in 1989 in Johannesburg, Soccer City received a coat of paint for the 2010 World Cup and remains large and proud to be one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world today.

With a huge capacity, the largest recorded influx has reached just under 95,000 people five years after its introduction for its new tenants, the Kaizer Chiefs. The sound of vuvuzelas and Siphiwe Tshabalala’s first goal in the 2010 World Cup final will be remembered. .

Even if they are precisely of impressive size, the reputed and reputed Liverpool enthusiasts who sit within the walls of Anfield are known to sow concern in any opposition, regardless of their size.

Whether it’s the “This is Anfield” sign in the tunnel or the famous chant “You’ll never walk alone”, it’s the little things that make Liverpool Liverpool.

The well-supported Argentine club Boca Juniors is known for many things, including its well-run stadium, La Bombonera. However, what distinguishes this game from the rest is the seismic environment that arises when a game is started.

It’s like a living construction, if that makes sense. The excellent acoustics surrounding the pitch can make even the most boring matches interesting. Fun fact: the stadium is called La Bombonera, which means “Chocolate Box” in English. For what? Because like a box of chocolate, the stadium goes straight up.

No fan or true grasshopper can honestly say that he masters this art by visiting the famous stadium of the Italian capital: the San Siro, or the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, to give it its full name.

Home to two of football’s giants, AC Milan and Internazionale, it is undoubtedly one of the most respected stadiums in the world of football. What readers probably won’t realize is that it’s designed in such a way as to ensure that each and every player in the setting gets the maximum productive visibility imaginable, no matter where they’re sitting.

Home of the Brazilian national team, the Maracanã has noticed a scandalous tread on the stadium’s green over the decades.

Amazingly, 199,854 people participated in the close organization of the World Cup between Brazil and Uruguay in 1950 and he has remained one of the most iconic players in the history of the sport ever since.

Manchester United’s famous stadium, Old Trafford, rubs shoulders with football’s most evocative names, with Stretford End being the pride and glory of the club. And while its tenants are divided on whether leaky roofs and lack of care are a problem, there’s no question. that “The Theater of Dreams” is really impressive.

Will it be in the next few years? Well, the club’s questionable owners, the Glazer family, have paid little attention to the stadium since 2005. The new owners could make Old Trafford the most productive stadium in the world.

You have to mention the third largest football stadium, right? One hundred and four thousand fans can buy tickets for the box in Mexico and many attended Diego Maradona’s famous double against England in the 1986 World Cup.

Scene of one of the most publicized matches in history, Maradona scored his goal of the “Hand of God” and the “Goal of the Century” in four unforgettable minutes.

Thanks to its superbly crafted design, Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena, whether for its curved shape or its bright character, is on the wish list of the most sensible fans.

Beautifully lit at night, the 75,024-seat lobby is unlike any other. It feels like home, it’s a very special message that Bayern need to convey.

Combine its wonderful football history with the surroundings (the 81,365 participants get excited when a goal is scored) and you have a heavenly match.

There are few bigger fortresses in the world that eclipse Borussia Dortmund’s ground, especially with the Yellow Wall in full force. He is a pillar of his club’s history and one of the reasons why German clubs are so feared in European and national competitions.

Nicknamed “the home of football”, it is inevitable that the English field will fight for the top spot on this list. Wembley reopened in 2007 and is built on the site of the original stadium. It is majestic.

While some may not appreciate the fact that Wembley is also used for non-sporting activities, such as pop concerts, it is fair to say that Wembley still lives up to its reputation as a centre of English football.

With strong competition, focusing on the most productive stadium in the world is no easy task and Tottenham’s pitch has just cleared the last hurdle.

After spending a billion pounds sterling on its new stadium after leaving White Hart Lane, it has been popular with attendees, whether for a football or sporting event. Oh, and it can produce 10,000 pints of beer per minute, so there you have it!

Note: This is not topical bias. The new Bernabeu is above all, that’s what Real Madrid expected with such a surprising figure.

The endurance track will be the roof, which is not only a dinner for the eyes, but its practical and retractable use is the focal point, while its welcome terrace is also enough to make your center beat faster.

Barcelona fan-favourite midfielder will receive his medical discharge in 15 days

' src=

After ten months out of action, Barcelona midfield sensation Gavi finally made his return to group training earlier today.

The 20-year-old received a hearty welcome from his teammates as he took part in his first group session since being sidelined with an ACL injury all the way back in November 2023.

Medical discharge in 15 days

Building on that, journalist Javi Miguel now reports that if there are no setbacks, Gavi will receive his medical discharge in 15 days.

If so, it will be a major boost for Barcelona, who have been hit hard by injuries in midfield.

Indeed, apart from Gavi, new manager Hansi Flick has had to make do without Frenkie de Jong, whose return date is still unclear, while Fermin Lopez and Marc Bernal have also fallen prey to injuries.

It has left Flick to contend with only Pedri, Marc Casado, Dani Olmo, and Pablo Torre in the midfield and No. 10 positions.

But, Gavi’s imminent return will alleviate some of those worries, although it is important that neither the player nor the club rush into things.

After all, the 20-year-old sensation, viewed as a future club captain , has been out of action for ten months, that too with a serious and complicated injury.

As such, one can expect his reintroduction into the scheme of things to be gradual and it will further likely take him a few weeks to get into 100% match fitness and rhythm.

But, as things stand, if nothing else goes wrong, Gavi will receive the green light from the Barcelona medical department in 15 days.
