They offer to pick up and drop off at almost any hotel in San Francisco, making the door-to-door service very convenient. 

No food is included in the price of the tour, but guests are given breaks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Incredible Adventures

Incredible Adventures' day tour to Yosemite includes a professional guide, an in-coach narrated tour of Yosemite (1.5 hrs), 3 hours of free time in the Valley, and the Yosemite Park entrance fee.

Free pick-up from most San Francisco hotels is included. Refreshments are not included, but there is plenty of time for guests to purchase their own along the way.

Incredible Adventures also operates tours on behalf of Tower Tours. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour.

One must take into account that weather conditions and traffic can cause changes in the amount of time allotted for each part of the trip.

MULTI-DAY TOURS OF YOSEMITE

For those looking to spend ample time in Yosemite, a multi-day tour of the park is your best option. Tours typically range from 2-5 days and can include accommodation or not.

The cost of multi-day tours tends to be significantly higher than any day tours, regardless of whether or not the accommodation is part of the package.

However, the most significant benefit of opting for a multi-day tour is having adequate time to explore Yosemite, as that is the most common criticism of all-day tours across the board.

If you're interested in hiking or bike rentals, this type of tour will give you more time to really experience several different parts of the park in the heart of Yosemite Valley at your own pace.

In addition to their 1-day tour (see above), Extranomical Tours also usually run several multi-day tours to Yosemite National Park.

Tours typically range from 2-5 days, each of which can be paired with or without accommodation. Unfortunately, as of May 2024, they are only offering 2-day outings.

Those that don't include accommodation include San Francisco hotel pick-up, transportation to Yosemite National Park, a tour of Yosemite Valley, and a drop-off at Yosemite Lodge.

For those who select a tour that does include accommodation, there are several different types of accommodation with different price tags to choose from. Many consider the Ahwahnee Hotel to be one of the best in the area.

Day 1 San Francisco/Yosemite National Park

The adventure begins this morning with the drive to Yosemite National Park. Along the way stop for some fresh produce at a farmer’s market in the central valley. Once in the park hike to Tuolumne Grove to see massive Giant Sequoias. Finish the day with a stop to see El Capitan and Bridalveil Fall en route to your camp for the night.

Enjoy free time to navigate the majestic Yosemite Valley at your own pace. Walk the Lower Yosemite Fall Trail or Swinging Bridge Loop Trail. Relax under the towering granite monoliths of Half Dome or El Capitan. Up for more of a challenge? Test your endurance on a more challenging hike like Upper Yosemite Falls or Four Mile. On the way back to camp, search for climbers on the sheer rock face of El Capitan.

Day 3 Yosemite National Park

Today is all about getting active and exploring the landscapes of Yosemite. Head out on a hike to Vernal or Nevada Falls or opt to rent bikes and cruise around the valley.

This park is a hiker’s paradise filled with different options for every skill level. From miles of trekking to short walks featuring amazing views, you won’t have a hard time finding a trail to set out on and enjoy. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and make sure to take plenty of pictures. In the evening relax around the fire and swap stories with your group.

Day 4 Yosemite National Park/Hermosa Beach

Bid farewell to Yosemite this morning and get ready for some ocean waves and sand between your toes as the group heads south to Hermosa Beach. Travel through the rolling hills and vastness of the Central Valley and arrive at the Pacific coast just in time to walk the beach during golden hour and grab some delicious dinner by the sea.

Day 5 Hermosa Beach

Live the California dream as you wake up to the distant sound of waves crashing against the sand. Then, suit up and get ready for your surf lesson where you'll learn a thing or two about what it takes to make riding those waves look so easy.

Afterwards, enjoy free time on Hermosa Beach to lounge in the sun, walk out to the pier, or find a beachfront cafe with a table outside for some people watching. Or choose to rent bikes or surf boards and continue the adventure. Your only dilemma today should be deciding which burrito place you want to eat at.

Day 6 Hermosa Beach/Joshua Tree National Park

Depart the coast for the desert today, travelling through Los Angeles on the journey eastward to explore Joshua Tree National Park. Climb through the park’s famous rock formations and make sure to get some photos of the park's namesake tree as the sun lights up this desolate landscape.

Day 7 Joshua Tree National Park/Grand Canyon National Park

Drive down the famed Route 66 today as we cruise further east to the Grand Canyon. Get ready to see breathtaking views with arguably the best sunset you have ever seen overlooking the Grand Canyon. Kick off those shoes, sit back, relax, and enjoy one of nature’s finest performances. Enjoy a cheesy slice of pizza or two overlooking the Grand Canyon during sunset.

Day 8 Grand Canyon

Get up close and personal with the Grand Canyon as you spend the day hiking from the South Rim. There are a variety of hikes to choose from that will take you deeper into the canyon where you can really appreciate the size and depth of this national park. Choose whichever trail you wish or do short bursts of multiple hikes, just make sure you bring plenty of water and take your time.

Day 9 Grand Canyon/Page/Bryce Canyon

Journey onwards from the Grand Canyon to Page, Arizona, the site of Lake Powell. There will be free time here. Opt to join a local Navajo guide and explore Antelope Canyon; a stunning natural sandstone slot canyon located on tribal lands.

Then, lace up those hiking boots for a visit to Horseshoe Bend, a geological masterpiece that has been sculpted by the Colorado River. Walk to the overlook where you can hike along the rim and stare down into the flowing river far below. Snap some photos with your friends and just enjoy the moment. Finish the day with a picturesque drive to your camp in Bryce Canyon.

Day 10 Bryce Canyon

After a camp breakfast head out for a short drive into Bryce Canyon National Park. Once in the park, take advantage of your free time to hike through the wild and weird rock formations known as hoodoos. Opt to visit Inspiration Point, hit the rim trail, horseback ride, or hike the Queen’s Garden and Navajo loop trails to see sites like Thor’s Hammer and Wall Street. At night stargaze in a park known for its night skies.

Day 11 Bryce Canyon/Zion National Park

We pack up early this morning and move on towards Zion and our Glamping tents! Located in a private canyon away from civilization, but close to Zion National Park this location is made for outdoor enthusiasts who also like to be pampered a little. On route to camp we will make a stop at the lesser-known Coral Pink Sand Dunes and enjoy a scenic overlook of Utah’s surrounding landscape on the Colorado Plateau. It’s a unique geological feature that you shouldn’t miss.

You’ll have free time in the afternoon and evening to become acquainted with your surroundings. Maybe hike the Water Canyon trail or enjoy camp and put on a cornhole tournament as a group. The only rule is to have a good time!

Day 12 Zion National Park

It’s all about Zion today as you get a chance to wander this beautiful national park in Southwest Utah. Take the shuttle into the park and spend the day exploring and hiking with your fellow travelers.

Admire the monumental sandstone cliffs of cream, pink, and red that tower into the sky and remember you can choose to turn around on these hikes at any point. In the evening enjoy leisure time back at our Glamping tents. Once it gets dark get ready to sit around the campfire and roast some marshmallows as a group.

Day 13 Zion National Park/Las Vegas

This morning opt to get in one last activity at our Glamping site if you ran out of time yesterday or simply relax in the wild surroundings. Then the group will drive from Zion to Las Vegas where the tour ends on arrival.

You can take cell phone tours, touch the historic 16-inch gun at Battery Townsley, take a wildflower walk, watch the sky for migratory birds of prey and even search for red-legged frogs in ponds at Mori Point!

Alcatraz Island offers a close-up look at the site of the first lighthouse, and the first U.S. built a fort on the West Coast!

This island is best known for its Federal Penitentiary which was said to be inescapable. Several men tried, a few even made it off the island, but they were all presumed dead from drowning.

Some of Alcatraz's most famous inmates included Al Capone, George "Machine Gun" Kelly, and Robert Stroud "The Birdman of Alcatraz."

If you are planning to visit Muir Woods, we highly suggest going early in the morning.

There is just something special about walking along the Redwood Creek Trail. I found all the worries of the world washed away and found a complete Zen moment walking amongst the Redwoods. It is one of my truly special moments exploring America's National Parks!

There is a visitor center and a self-guided nature walk within the park. The park is open from 8 am to sunset year-round. There are six miles of trails within Muir Woods park. The main, canyon floor trails are paved and mostly level.

Entrance Fee - $15 Adults, Kids 15 and under are free. National Park Passes are accepted. 

Parking/Shuttle Bus Reservations - Reservations are required for all personal vehicles and shuttle riders visiting the park. Make a reservation online

Lodging - There is no lodging within the park.

• Point Reyes National Seashore

Top Attractions - Point Reyes Lighthouse, hiking trails, Pacific Coast views, Tule Elk Reserve

Point Reyes National Seashore is located just north of San Francisco. Bear Valley visitor center is very informative with great exhibits and the Earthquake trail (6/10 mile loop trail) that talks about the San Andreas Fault.

A forty-five-minute drive away is the Historic Lighthouse and visitor center. Fog and wind are common here, and you can take the stairs, all 308 steps to the lighthouse when the stairs are open.

Keep your eyes out for hawks on the fence posts; they can be found all over the fields around Point Reyes.

Rosie the Riveter/ WWII Home Front National Historical Park

The Rosie the Riveter National Historical Park is a fantastic place to take the entire family. The exhibits are great for adults and kids.

There is a short film talking about Rose the Riveter along with a lot of great informative displays.

The park offers visitors the opportunity to meet a real Home Front Worker from WWII on Fridays. 

The visitor center and museum are filled with some of the best interpretive displays we have seen in any of the 275+ parks we have visited.

John Muir National Historic Site

John Muir National Historic Site is the location of John Muir's home. Muir was a famous Naturalist, often referred to as "John of the Mountains" and petitioned the U.S. Congress for the National Park Bill that was passed in 1890 establishing Yosemite National Park!

Muir's writings also helped convince the U.S. Government to also protect Sequoia , Grand Canyon , and Mount Rainier National Parks! The park and grounds are open daily from 10 am- 5 pm.

Make sure and give yourself enough time to visit both the house and the grounds.

Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail

Visitors can learn more about the Juan Bautista de Anza NHT at the Martinez Adobe within John Muir National Historic Site. 

In 1775-1776, Juan Bautista De Anza led some 240 men, women, and children on a 1200 mile epic journey to establish the first non-native settlement at San Francisco Bay.

• Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site

Top Attractions - historic home, guided tours. 

Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site is home to America's only Nobel Prize-winning playwright. O'Neill chose to live in California at the height of his writing career while he wrote The Iceman Cometh, Long Day's Journey Into Night and A Moon for the Misbegotten.

Just remember the park is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Please check out their website before visiting as the Tao House is available on selected tours only and reservations are required. There are also shuttles to the property.

• Pinnacles National Park

Top Attractions - Hiking Trails, California Condors

Pinnacles National Park is less than two hours from San Francisco! It is also a birders paradise! We came to Pinnacles in search of the California Condor.

Just be prepared as both Old Pinnacles Trailhead and Bear Gulch Trailheads are rather small and fill up quickly. We arrived around 10 am and found ourselves parked down below exploring the Bench Trail.

We were still excited as we saw numerous bird species including Acorn Woodpeckers, Turkey Vultures, and Western Scrub-Jays. Even the drive into the park was stunning!

Entrance Fee - $30 vehicles, $25 motorcycle, $15 walk-in/bicycle

Lodging - There are new tent cabins available in the campground. 

Camping - Pinnacles Campground has 134 sites both RV with electrical hookup and tent sites.

• Lassen Volcanic National Park

Lassen Volcanic National Park is just barely over four hours from San Francisco, and all I can say is WOW! This is an amazing park!

The Lassen Volcanic National Park Highway is breathtaking and is one of the most scenic drives in the National Park system. It passes two incredible alpine lakes; Emerald Lake and Lake Helen that will surely blow your mind!

For those wanting to go for a hike hit the Bumpass Hell Trail! Just check to see if it's open before arriving at the park as it can be closed due to snow and ice.

Entrance Fee - $30 Vehicle, $25 motorcycle, $15 individual valid for 7 consecutive days.

Yosemite National Park is a true American Icon! Names like El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridal Veil Falls are instantly recognizable to anyone ever hearing of this park. Yosemite Valley just feels like a place where the likes of Norman Rockwell sat for hours gaining inspiration for their work.

 It's easy to see why photographers fall in love with this place like Ansel Adams and why John Muir was so passionate about Yosemite that he petitioned the U.S. Congress which led to it becoming a National Park.

Reservations - Reservations are required from May 20 - September 30, 2022, for anyone entering the park between 6 am and 4 pm.

Day 1 - San Francisco to Yosemite National Park

After departing San Francisco, you’ll head through California’s famous Gold Rush Country, high into the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. Once we reach the drop-off location, you’ll have 4 hours of free time to explore this natural playground. Experience the majestic views from Yosemite Valley with some of America’s tallest waterfalls and towering granite cliffs rising 4,000 feet from the valley floor. You’ll have options to meander or bike down paved paths, hike the trails, engage further with the park’s history at the visitor center, or visit the Ansel Adams Gallery. Just a few hours in the park will show you why the iconic landscapes have been the inspiration for countless artists and photographers dating back to John Muir’s first expeditions in the late 1800s.

After a full day of traipsing around the park, we’ll head to the rustic mountain resort to kick back, have some drinks and share the stories of your day.

Day 2 - Yosemite National Park to Mammoth Lakes via Tioga Pass

Did you catch the scent of a trail you didn’t have time for? This morning you’ll have plenty of time to follow your inspiration. Next, we’ll set off for Yosemite High Country with views like no other.

Prepare to dine among giants as we arrive at a grove of Sequoia trees. You’ll take in the meditative views as next to trees that measure up to 300 feet tall, 30 feet wide, and older than one thousand years.

In the afternoon, you’ll ascend to almost 10,000 Feet (3000+ meters), traversing Yosemite’s Tioga Pass viewing iconic sites like the reflective Tenaya Lake and weaving your way through Tuolumne Meadows before descending the fiercely steep eastern slope of the Sierra Nevadas.

You’ll have some time to explore beautiful Mammoth Lakes, California before hitting the hay. With a hint at its prehistoric past, the name is quite fitting… the size of the mountains, the number of lakes, and the expanse of the valleys. Try your hand at mountain biking or take a scenic Gondola ride up to 11,053 ft (3368 meters) and check out one of the most stunning 360 degree views in California. Explore the geologic, natural, and human history of Mammoth and find out why this is one of the most studied regions in the world.

Day 3 - Mammoth Lakes to Lake Tahoe via Ansel Adams Wilderness Area and Bodie, CA

We’ll continue into the mountains as we connect with the rich history of California’s gold country, passing through some of the first settlements built during the Gold Rush. Take in the earthy forest smell as we make our way to the heart of the park. Your guide will pepper in stories and historical facts about the different sights. Be sure to listen for the logistics as we get ready for the day tour!

Day 4 - Lake Tahoe to San Francisco

As you take in the crisp morning air, your guide will facilitate a personalized adventure schedule! Get up close and personal with Lake Tahoe, the highest alpine lake in the USA either by kayak, stand-up paddleboard. Rent a bike to trundle the paths along the lake’s gorgeous sandy shores. If you would prefer more of a bird’s eye view with panoramic vistas of Lake Tahoe, Carson Valley and the Desolation Wilderness, take the 2.4 mile gondola ride up to Heavenly Mountain resort where you can hike, go tubing, or explore the zipline or ropes course. Having trouble deciding? You always have the option to keep it simple and go on a short hike with the expert direction of your guide.

We’ll wave goodbye to this natural playground as leave Lake Tahoe behind. On our way back to the city by the bay, we’ll pass through the state’s capital city, Sacramento, following the historic Pony Express Trail through El Dorado National Forest. We’ll deliver you back to San Francisco in time for dinner.

Very reliable, professional. I have booked at the last moment and gotten picked up. Clean, peaceful , comfortable ride to the airport. Highly recommend their service.

Truly incredible experience. Would hire them again. Did several airport transfers, in city shuttles, all of that and they did it perfectly. We needed 2 more SUVs in less than an hour and Alena made it happen like pulled drivers and cars out of thin air. Was amazing. Thanks, Limo SF VIP.

This is probably the best limo luxury VIP transportation and event car company in the SF Bay Area. You will get an incredible experience. The drivers and staff who set up the service are very professional courteous and respectful and will give you the VIP Experience of your dreams. The pricing is good and not outrageous expensive and the cars are beautiful and new looking new models on the outside and inside. There are many good options of cars and you will be book instantly. Definitely recommended and there are good nice touches as well like complimentary water bottles in the passenger area. I recommend you browse through the photos to get an idea of what they offer.

Contacted the company for rental and got a quick response and options like requested. But once received we noticed a difference from another quote we got from from themselves. Trying to correct any mistakes I may have made I tried contacting Alena and sent her an email if there was a different option that I was unaware of. Alena mentioned a 6 hour minimum but the website and vehicle we chose states a 3 hour minimum was needed. The second quote stated 6 hours minimum and would be charged even if we only we really needed for 4 hours so it felt like we weren't receiving the honest price for the same vehicle. Unfortunately we never heard back. We we had to go with a different vendor because it was short notice and the date came sooner and sooner. We were recommended to them so maybe our next event can be better.

Purr-fect Experience!!! What a beautiful ride we experienced for my girl's b'day! Limo SF VIP came to the rescue as I was planning on the same day and I got lucky. Everything went very smooth and got a good deal. Chauffeur was very well mannered, suited up and to the mark! Pleasant ride, nice music, continuously changing water bottles at every stop. I told the Chauffeur to take us to the best spot for pictures, and I didn't have to guide him again for places! He took care for the rest of it! All in all, amazing experience with extravagant ambience and quality service! I will definitely recommend this service!

My husband and I were treated to an unforgettable tour of San Francisco. Along with the detailed knowledge of the city roads and shortcuts, the driver knew scenic routes and beautiful hidden spots. Really professional drivers and office representative . Booked instantly . The driver came on time and we had an excellent trip on brand new SUV to the airport and back ( picked up my business partner ) . He knows where to go with less traffic so I didn't even had to ask anything . This is the best limousine service in San Francisco and Bay Area . I use to deal with a lot of other limo company's but this is number one service Next time I'll go for a vine tour to Napa Thanks Denis for easy and comfortable ride

We were really tight on time to make last minute advanced reservation for transportation to Bodega Bay last weekend. Limo SF VIP happened to be among other companies on the page. We booked our trip through their company and didn't regret. We had an excellent experience with Limo SF VIP. The car was beautiful, the driver was waiting early, and EVERYTHING was extremely neat and pleasant.  Great service Thank you very much Highly recommended

Had an amazing experience with this limo service! I had plans to go to napa with some friends for the day and decided to be responsible for once and not drive. I just yelped "limo service" and and got a dozen results. I called a few places and decided to go with limo sf vip since they had the best price and a good rating. The limo driver was super nice and made me feel safe. Every time we go to Napa we typically go to the same place. Our driver was extremely knowledgeable and took us to some great new wineries. He knew exactly where to go and even which routes would minimize traffic. Ultimately, I received a great service all around and would highly recommend this limo service. Thanks a lot guys and keep up the great work.
