Electric Light Orchestra is a symphonic rock band from Birmingham, UK who had huge success in the 1970s & 80s and have sold over 50 million record worldwide.

In the late 60's, the guitarist and vocalist of The Move Roy Wood had the idea to form a new band that would use violins, cellos, string basses, horns and woodwinds to give their music a classical sound. This may seem like a given nowadays with every contemporary rock band using a variety of instruments to create their sound, yet at the beginning of the 1970s, The Electric Light Orchestra were considered revolutionaries of the genre. They have more combined US & UK top 40 chart hits than any other band in the world.

They enjoyed moderate successes with their first few releases in the early 70's, yet it was their fourth album 'Eldorado' which managed to crack the top 20 of the US Billboard chart and incorporated a live string section and orchestra, it also included their first US top ten hit 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'. They continued to have mammoth successes stateside when releasing their album 'Face The Music', the band played 68 shows in 76 days yet they were still snubbed in their native UK until their next release, the platinum selling 'A New World Record' and featured the hit singles 'Do Ya' and 'Livin' Thing'.

The band's touring and recording momentum seemed to show no sign of slowing as their next release 'Out Of The Blue' went double platinum and featured another string of singles that charted on both sides of the Atlantic including their now cult classic 'Mr. Blue Sky'. They later collaborated with vocalist Olivia Newton-John on the soundtrack for musical film 'Xanadu' where the title track became a huge hit all over the world. The band eventually disbanded in 1988 after a string of disappointing single releases after they replaced actual strings with synthesisers, they reformed in 2000 but the following album 'Zoom' also failed commercially. Their 2014 reformation was a larger success when performing a benefit gig for Children In Need with Jeff Lynne hinting at a 2015 UK tour.

Live reviews

A must go see tour!! Jeff Lynne looked and sounded amazing!! The artists and musicians he has with him are killing these shows on this tour. They are phenomenal artists keeping a timing that was solid and on point turning left right diagonally and every with way else no turn signal needed on this time travel through space and time. Taking the audience throughan amazing plethora of twenty songs in what only seemed like all of them were played in just five minutes went by when the show was over. " where does the time go"g/d.crushed song after song pounding through each song belting physical and visual stimulations for everyone to absorb and digest to your delight. For Dawes,I can't say I just heard them through the tunnels at the Allstate arena. What sounds I heard wasn't bad and I'm sure they are a great band im sure this tour will open some doors of opportunity for them in the future. As for the arena my first time there and coming from the St Louis area with similar sized venues. Allstate arena was a nice venue to attend a show. Associates helpful and friendly. Security inside and out did a great job of hearding us all in and out safely definitely want to thank them as well. The sound there was killer. I believe it may have been the third song with the cellos had a bit of reverb on the super low parts but the sound crew corrected that quickly for a mind blowing sound. To go as a side dish to the sounds pelting off the stage. The production company working with Jeff Lynne brought a laser backdrop out of this world. It was a third eye cleansing production of lasers lights and backdrop that's left a contrail partner of ELOs voyage through space and time. Finally i want to mention the audience attending. Another good sign of an amazing artist is the way they can get as many different individuals from thoughts lives and ideologies together bringing their audienced to respect love and watch out for one another is a true art. Gives light that we can get along in a time where look down and disengage is the new in. So if youre not sure if youre wanting to go you. Take your closest loved one or go with your crew this tour can't be missed. You Want Be Lucky To See Him Do This Again Light Years Later. Get on this voyage now experience what Jeff Lynne has done for himself and fans from all over the world and beyond whole career. Long live Rock!!

Musically, it was a great gig and one I had waited decades to see. Jeff and the band were tight and on form and played everything you could possibly have asked for (2/3rds were top 20 hits). There was little interaction with the audience though.

HOWEVER, and it is a big however, the O2 stinks as a venue. I have long hated, but had no choice but to go if I wanted to see Jeff Lynne.

Other than for Roll Over Beethoven, the sound was mixed really quietly, so that you spent most of the time listening to the people around you talking. The lighting was atrocious - most of the stage was very dimly lit and yet the seats were almost floodlit, so you could see thousands of faces everywhere but none on the stage. The unjustifiable add-ons to the ticket prices were a total rip-off and the price of a drink exorbitant (£10.20 for 2 beers in one bar, which went up to £10.50 for the same drinks in the second round).

The music though, was excellent and I am sure the light show was good, but the main auditorium lights and the giant speakers suspended from the ceiling obscured most of it. The video screens were also ludicrously small for a 20,000 seater venue.

Add to that the 30 minutes it takes to get from your seat to a tube train and I remembered why I hate the O2 so much.

Electric Light Orchestra was an innovator of rock music with their unique style. The band had the visionary ability to combine rock and pop with classical music. This made them pioneers for any fusion bands that were to come after.

10538 overture showcases the instrumental talent of the band and their genius with this very distinct type of avant-garde sound. Attending a concert by Electric Light Orchestra is a privilege and unique sensation of consciousness. Watching as the band manipulates the instruments to their will and creates such a fascinating sound is a real treat to the concert goer.

Electric Light Orchestra does not rely on contrivance to deliver the goods, they are just that good. Listening to one of their songs is a trip into another dimension of what is possible with imagination and passion. Their fervor for this unique style of sound is apparent immediately when you hear the music.

You can sit back in the audience and simply take in the pure and wonderful sounds and be mentally stimulated in a way unlike any other. For any fan of instrumental music, Electric Light Orchestra is a must have for a collection. A live performance is a rarity now, but should be taken in if the opportunity presents itself.

The show was great. Lynne has not lost a step. The crowd was into it. It was awesome seeing George Harrison’s son sing his dads lyrics on Handle with care. Also Lynne Has surrounded himself with some very talented musicians.

Well I've been a fan of the Electric Light Orchestra for over 40 years I was 15 years old and 11 months when they last toured in 1981 therefore I could not go. When I heard of the North American tour I bought tickets as soon as I could for the nearest city which is Detroit because I live in Indianapolis. My expectations for the show were through the roof and they we're much much better than I could have possibly imagined. They started out the show with a classic from the concerto for a rainy day called standing in the rain. The video effects combined with those fantastic strings was a marvelous opening to it was going to be a fantastic night to quote Jeff Lynne several times. There were no low points at all tonight. I am very biased in writing this review but trust me even if you're not a fan of Elo but you love good music you have a few more chances to see this band in North America and I could not recommend them any higher. God bless Jeff Lynne for all this wonderful music and I hope you come through this way again. This was a bucket list concert for me and as they went off stage arm in arm I really felt emotional but I hope it's not the last time I see him and this wonderful band

Innovators of their time, the Electric Light Orchestra found their unique brand of pop/rock merged with classical instrumentals turn them to international stars. It is worth noting that the Brummy band always found a much greater appreciation for their sound in the States than in their own homeland. Yet now with their iconic status and energetic live show attracts audiences from around the globe.

Recently reunited, the band performed a packed out set at Hyde Park to thousands of revellers who had waited patiently to hear classics such as '10538 Overture' and 'All Over The World'. Despite the band not having performed live since 2001 they sound polished and slick and the time away has clearly not affected their enthusiasm. Jeff Lyne is a fantastic frontman and conducts his audience is mass singalong to the likes of 'Telephone Line'.

One track that was left off the setlist was their film score collaboration with Olivia Newton John 'Xanadu' yet fingers crossed it will appear on the upcoming world tour. Luckily their most famous track 'Mr. Blue Sky' brought the main set to a euphoric end as the crowds danced and sang under the balmy British summer sun.

Jeff Lynne gave a tremendously entertaining show after a 35-year hiatus. Complete with a laser show and complex stage effects, his new band did a great job of presenting the classic ELO experience for a new generation. The harmonies and instrumentation were spot-on to the original recordings. My father came with me tonight and enjoyed every minute of it. He only knew 2 or 3 hits by the band, but nevertheless it was enjoyable for the man. One of the highlights of the evening for me was the performance of "Handle With Care" by the 1980s supergroup The Traveling Wilburys. Lynne brought down the house as one of new backup singers impeccably imitated the late rock icon Roy Orbison. People all around me rose from their seats and cheered when images of Tom Petty, George Harrison, and Orbison flashed across the screen and elicited a nostalgic memory trip among their thousands of fans gathered in the historic Forum this warm summer night. As Lynne ended the marathon setlist with the required Mr. Blue Sky, I believe that he did his music right. Now here comes Mr. Night.

My favorite band since I was a teenager in the 70s. Too much great music to count! Saw their tour last year in Philadelphia -- it was amazing! Jeff doesn't miss a beat, and the entire group is on point with lyrics and music. The light show is always incredible. If you haven't seen them, put it on your list and do so! In addition to my own personal nostalgia and love for the group being projected, the entire audience adds their enormous energy and enthusiasm as some are traveling down youthful memories while others are experiencing ELO magic for the first or more recent time(s). It's fabulous no matter if you're an ELO veteran or a newbie or somewhere in between. My husband and I will be enjoying Jeff Lynne's ELO in Pittsburgh tonight! I am beyond excited and look forward to another phenomenal performance this evening. I would love to one day meet Jeff Lynne and thank him personally for what his music has added to my life -- and continues to do so! In the meantime, I will give him and his crew my praise in reviews such as this.

This show was pretty close to perfect. Super tight band, stunning visuals, and a front man who seems to have hardly aged, an effect which obviously benefits from Lynne's low key style, make this show as exciting as I could possibly imagine. I'm sure there may be a few fans butt hurt over the absence of Bev Bevan etc., but I can't even imagine anyone playing with a better sound than the current lineup. Granted, I might have preferred a few deep cuts in exchange for the few later era hits (although "When I Was a Boy" was lovely and very apropos) and the greatest hits approach made "Can't Get It Out of My Head" a puzzling omission. Still, I was jumping up and down for most of the 20 songs, and opening act Dhani Harrison's participation in a Traveling Wilbury moment was special indeed. This was easily one of the best concerts I have seen in the 21st century.

ELO has been my favorite group since I was 10 (the "Out Of The Blue" album), so getting to finally see Jeff Lynne singing all those great songs was a lifelong dream finally come true. Jeff and his new band sounded fantastic. The light show would put any EDM DJ's show to shame (green lasers creating 'rain' falling on the audience, the stage becoming a giant turntable). The songlist wasn't as extensive as the concert at Wembley (no "Xanadu", "Ma Ma Belle" or "Twilight") but "All Over The World" was mind-blowing to hear and The Travelling Wilburys' "Handle With Care" had opening singer Dhani Harrison (George's son) nailing his dad's verses. Basically, the best concert I've ever seen in my life for so many reasons.

ELO — originally named the Electric Light Orchestra — was formed in 1972 by singers/multi-instrumentalists Lynne and Roy Wood and drummer Bev Bevan from the ashes of legendary rockers the Move, with the intention of fusing rock music with classical instruments. Wood left after one album and Lynne assumed leadership of the group — taking on lead singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist roles — which went on to score such massive hits through the ‘70s as “Evil Woman,” “Strange Magic,” “Living Thing,” “Can’t Get It Out of My Head,” “Mr. Blue Sky,” “Telephone Line,” “Don’t Bring Me Down” and more.

Lynne revived the ELO brand in 2001, with himself and longtime keyboardist Richard Tandy as the only remaining early members, for the album “Zoom” (featuring Harrison and Starr) and tour. He did so again in 2014 and has toured extensively and released two albums with the group, 2015’s “Alone in the Universe” and 2019’s “From Out of Nowhere.”

Event Details

Jeff Lynne’s ELO   is set to embark on the band’s final tour dubbed “The Over and Out Tour.”  The 27-date trek, produced by Live Nation,  will land at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, OH, on September 14, 2024.

Artist Presale will begin on Wednesday, March 20 at 10 a.m. and the general on-sale will start on Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. Exclusive VIP experiences will be available on March 20 at 10 a.m. Please visit  jefflynneselo.com  for all details.

Lynne’s North American tour in 2019 delighted massive crowds and drew widespread critical acclaim:

“A brilliant catalog returns to U.S. stages and gives the strings-starved people what they want. The ELO catalog speaks for itself… and it was a glorious thing to behold… in a 19-song set that reprised the closest thing to truly Beatle-level pop the 1970s had to offer.” Variety
“Jeff Lynne’s ELO prove that spacy pop rock is still a livin’ thing… one of the most flawless and visually stunning arena shows I've seen in a long time. Complete with monstrous lights, lasers and the mandatory ELO spaceship hovering behind the band on video screens, the show was as grand and engrossing as a blockbuster movie — a ’70s blockbuster movie, that is.” LA Weekly
“Jeff Lynne and the Electric Light Orchestra put on a dazzling display chronicling a war chest of classic rock hits for a sold out crowd.” Martinez Tribune
“Jeff Lynne’s ELO is practically a religious experience for rock ‘n’ roll disciples” Houston Press
“For all the gifted musicians that helped achieve Lynne's perfectionist vision, ELO was always his creation, a neon-hued Frankenstein's monster built from bits of early rock-and-roll, symphonic themes, Beatles harmonies, and disco beats. All of those pieces came together flawlessly… played to perfection.” The Philadelphia Inquirer

Known as one of the most iconic forces in music history, in recent years Jeff Lynne’s ELO has delivered a critically acclaimed and chart-topping album along with a sold out run of UK and European shows.  Jeff Lynne was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame last year and the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. The band has always been known for their epic live shows and with a distinct style that seamlessly and innovatively blends rock, pop and classical, ELO has had more than 20 Top 40 Hits across the U.S. and the U.K., making Lynne's sweeping productions some of the most recognizable music of the last forty years and helping sell over 50 million records worldwide.

Widely agreed upon as one of the greatest record producers in music history, Lynne was a co-founder and member of The Travelling Wilburys together with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty, as well as a producer and collaborator with some of the biggest names in music including The Beatles, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh and Bryan Adams.

Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra have played the first show of their final US tour

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission.

Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra have played the first show of their final tour of the US. The Over And Out Tour kicked off on Saturday with a 21-song set at the 11,000-capacity Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms in Riverside County, California.

The date was the first in a mammoth, 31-date trek across the US which will take in a pair of shows at New York's Madison Square Garden in mid-September and climax with two performances at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles at the end of October. Support comes from LA rockers Rooney. Full dates below.

The setlist, as you might expect, comes stuffed with ELO hits, from the opening track of the band's 1971, self-titled debut, 10538 Overture, to Calling America, from 1986's Balance of Power. Perhaps surprisingly, there was no room for material from either of the recent Jeff Lynne's ELO albums. Full setlist below.

The tour continues tomorrow night (August 27) at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA.

India's Agrim snags $17.3M to help farmers get inputs like seeds and pesticides more easily

Agriculture in India provides livelihood support to over 42% of its population, contributing 18% to the country's GDP, according to government data. Additionally, India's agri-inputs landscape is different from that of the U.S. and Europe due to its fragmented market structure, diversified demand, and seasonal nature of crops. Agrim aims to address all these discrepancies by building a just-in-time supply chain to help agri-input retailers buy inputs from a specific manufacturer.

Jeff Lynne Launches Farewell ELO Tour: Set List, Videos

Jeff Lynne ‘s ELO kicked off the Over and Out Tour on Saturday in Palm Desert, California. See videos and a complete set list below.

The relaunched Electric Light Orchestra hasn’t toured since 2019 , following the arrival of their latest album, From Out of Nowhere . ELO is now set to play more than two dozen North American cities.

Last night’s show included the touring debuts of “Fire on High” from 1975’s Face the Music , “Calling America” from 1986’s Balance of Power and “One More Time” off From Out of Nowhere . They hadn’t played “Strange Magic” since 2016.

Lynne is the only remaining original member of the group. Long-time keyboardist Richard Tandy had been an occasional presence, appearing on 2001’s Zoom and From Out of Nowhere , before dying earlier this year . He joined Lynne, Bev Bevan and Roy Wood as the Electric Light Orchestra was belatedly inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

ELO then made a heralded return to world tours, making their first North American dates in more than 30 years. Lynne said the comeback was sparked by a new lineup with more than a dozen players who expertly recreate records that dominated the charts from the mid-’70s through the early-’80s.

“We can actually cover any song that I’ve ever done with this amount of people, with three keyboards, two cellos, violin, four guitars, bass, drums, percussion, backing vocals,” Lynne said, with newfound enthusiasm . “Everything’s covered.”

Why Jeff Lynne Loves Touring Now

Two songs found on From Out of Nowhere underscore how much he’s enjoyed this late-career return to touring, “Time of Our Life” and “One More Time.” “Oh, I’m having the time of me life,” Lynne confirmed. “It’s trying to recreate the sound that I imagined ELO would have been, forever – really, from day one. It never has been until now.”

As interest in the new Over and Out Tour surged, Lynne extended the tour with second nights added to previously announced stops. Key upcoming shows include Seattle, Cleveland, New York and Denver.

If you’d like to hear live music this Labor Day weekend, you can join the National Symphony Orchestra for a free concert in D.C.

WTOP talked to guest conductor Enrico Lopez-Yañez about the orchestra’s annual Labor Day weekend concert, which is held on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol.

“Bring out blankets (and) hang out with the whole family. There’s music for everyone,” he said. “The finest classical music all the way to fun disco tunes on this show. It’s a little bit of everything that highlights the flexibility that these musicians have.”

The special guest at this year’s concert is Grammy-nominated beatboxer/rapper Christylez Bacon, who is from D.C. and has a special concerto written just for him.

“It’s called ‘Migrations and Rhythm,'” Lopez-Yañez said. “He sort of traces the history of music and rhythm as it has come and migrated to the United States. And we’re going to focus on a section that’s very D.C. oriented, because it’s all about the origins of go-go music, which is one of Christylez’ specialties and areas of expertise.”

The concert starts at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1. You won’t need a ticket, but seating is first come, first served.

“This is the perfect show if you’re looking for a nice evening out with the family,” Lopez-Yañez said. “It’s at one of the most beautiful locations, not only in D.C., but in the country.”

If there’s inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, and you can check the National Symphony Orchestra website for updates.

Jeff Lynne's ELO to bring their final tour to Phoenix in 2024. Here's how to get tickets

Portrait of Ed Masley

Jeff Lynne’s ELO will bring the Over and Out Tour, their final tour, to Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix on Monday, Oct. 21.

Lynne disbanded Electric Light Orchestra, an iconic British band whose most beloved US hits include "Can't Get It Out of My Head," "Evil Woman," "Strange Magic," "Livin' Thing," "Do Ya" and "Telephone Line," in 1986.

He reunited with keyboardist Richard Tandy in 2014 for a concert at London's Hyde Park that sold 50,000 tickets in 15 minutes as Jeff Lynne’s ELO.

In 2016, Jeff Lynne’s ELO won Band of the Year at the Classic Rock Roll of Honour Award.

In 2017, Electric Light Orchestra was inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Jeff Lynne's ELO have released two studio albums, 2015's "Alone in the Universe" and 2019's "From Out of Nowhere."

Jeff Lynne's ELO earned raves for 2019 tour

Lynne’s North American tour in 2019 delighted massive crowds and drew widespread critical acclaim.

Variety wrote, "The ELO catalog speaks for itself… and it was a glorious thing to behold… in a 19-song set that reprised the closest thing to truly Beatle-level pop the 1970s had to offer.”

LA Weekly wrote, “Jeff Lynne’s ELO prove that spacy pop rock is still a livin’ thing… one of the most flawless and visually stunning arena shows I've seen in a long time. Complete with monstrous lights, lasers and the mandatory ELO spaceship hovering behind the band on video screens, the show was as grand and engrossing as a blockbuster movie — a ’70s blockbuster movie, that is.”

And the Houston Press wrote, “Jeff Lynne’s ELO is practically a religious experience for rock ‘n’ roll disciples.”

Lynne was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2023.

Electric Light Orchestra last played a Phoenix concert in 1977

In addition to his work with ELO, Lynne was a co-founding member of the Travelling Wilburys together with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty, as well as a producer and collaborator with some of the biggest names in music, including the Beatles, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh and Bryan Adams.

Electric Light Orchestra's most recent Phoenix concert appears to have been in 1977, when the A New World Record Tour played Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra to play two Oklahoma holiday shows: What you need to know

Portrait of Brandy McDonnell

Although the weather outside is still frightfully steamy, a beloved holiday rock band is getting fans into the Christmas spirit with a big tour announcement.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra announced Monday plans for its 2023 winter tour, titled "The Ghosts of Christmas Eve – the Best of TSO & More . This year's tour includes two Oklahoma arena shows.

The tour launches on Nov. 15 with performances in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Council Bluffs, Iowa. The winter trek will take TSO to 62 cities for 104 matinee and evening performances before concluding Dec. 30 in Columbus, Ohio, and St. Paul, Minnesota.

The multiplatinum-selling progressive rock group will make two Sooner State stops this holiday season: 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at BOK Center in Tulsa.

What can people expect from Trans-Siberian Orchestra's 2023 winter tour?

The band's distinctive melding of arena rock, rock opera, pyrotechnics, laser light shows and holiday cheer — what TSO's late founder Paul O'Neill dubbed “Rock Theater” — has propelled TSO into a national powerhouse.

Since making its touring debut in 1999, Trans-Siberian Orchestra has played more than 2,000 winter tour shows to in excess of 18 million fans.

This year's winter tour promises a new and larger presentation of TSO's 1999 "The Ghosts of Christmas Eve" album and television film . The story follows a runaway who breaks into an abandoned vaudeville theater on Christmas Eve to take shelter from the cold. The teenager is discovered by the theater’s caretaker, who uses the ghosts and spirits from the building’s past to help her turn her life around.

Following the performance of the rock opera, the winter tour shows will include a laser-lit second set featuring more of TSO’s greatest hits and fan favorites, according to a news release.

Fans at home can look for a digitally restored “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” on their local PBS stations this season.

Plus, TSO will release music in several formats this fall, including a 25th anniversary edition of "The Christmas Attic" on vinyl, in deluxe and standard packaging, on Sept. 29; a clear vinyl pressing of "Christmas Eve and Other Stories" on Nov. 3; and a digital release of "The Ghosts of Christmas Eve" in Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio and hi-fidelity stereo mixes, including both the songs and narration, titled "The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve – The Complete Narrated Version," on Nov. 10.

When and where can fans buy TSO winter tour tickets?

Tickets for TSO's 2023 holiday tour go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. local time on Sept. 15.

Beginning with the public on-sale, special $39 tickets will be available for one week or while supplies last, according to a news release.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra announces dates for their yearly winter tour with 104 shows

Trans-Siberian Orchestra will embark on their traditional holiday outing with this year's show “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve – The Best of TSO and More.”

LOS ANGELES —  Trans-Siberian Orchestra  — the heavy metal, classical music, theater production, pyrotechnics and laser lightshow hybrid — will return this winter.

“The Ghosts of Christmas Eve — the Best of TSO & More,” will hit 62 cities and deliver 104 performances in both matinee and evening sets. It kicks off on Nov. 15 at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and runs through Dec. 30, concluding at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Al Pitrelli, TSO’s guitarist and music director, says that since the band started 28 years ago, their winter tours have become a tradition for loyal fans and their families.

“I call them repeat offenders,” he jokes.

Pitrelli estimates that nearly half the attendees have been “coming to us since the jump.”

Fans can expect a memorable performance that references the band’s 1999 “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” television film and album. The story follows a young girl who runs away from home on Christmas Eve; she’s alone, visions come to her, and eventually she makes her way back to her family at midnight, just in time for the Christmas holiday. Singers represent different characters, woven into a narrative by the late founder Paul O’Neill.

Pitrelli believes the reason TSO performances continue to draw people in is found in the story.

Madonna 'on the road to recovery' after ICU hospitalization, gives tour update

“Everybody misses somebody, especially on Christmas,” he says. The show provides an arena for people to feel less alone, “wrapped up in the world’s biggest rock and roll production,” he adds.

The numbers don’t lie: As of July 2022, Pollstar put Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s box office gross at $769 million.

Tickets for the 2023 holiday tour will go on sale on Friday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m. local time. Limited $39 tickets will be available for purchase within the first week, or while supplies last. A dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to charity.
