My mom and I enjoyed our trolley experience tremendously! It went off without a hitch! The guides were all very informative and added to the sightseeing experience. We were able to see and do so much more because of the trolley. We were also pleased to see that you have wheelchair-accessible options, as next time we will be traveling with a wheelchair user. Tasty Tours in St. Augustine

At the first mention of St. Augustine, most people instantly think about the town's lengthy history and the beautiful beaches. But have you heard about the award-winning, tasty food and drink tours available in town?

Along with the guided tours that stop at multiple restaurants and bars, many of the local producers in town who create renowned treats offer tours of their facilities. While touring their businesses you will get to see how local products are made and then give them a taste: wine, spirits , and chocolate!

Whetstone Chocolates

The Whetstone Chocolate  tour is $8.95 for adults, $6.50 for kids 5-17, and free for kids younger than five years old. On the tour you will try about five different types of chocolate. Bring a bottle of water with you; by the third or fourth chocolate, you may want to cleanse your palette.

Like most tours, this one starts out with a short video on the history of Whetstone Chocolates before you are whisked away into the magical land where chocolates are made. Be prepared— you too will get to wear a fancy hair net like the tour guide. The guide will walk you through production and show you the chocolate making process from the initial pounding of the cacao to the mechanical chocolate wrapper. Being handed the gold foil-wrapped shell at the end is a perfect close to the tour. You can either save it for later or rip it open and try it then.

At the bottom of your ticket is a coupon you will definitely want to use in their shop. Stock up on fudge, Whetstone's signature chocolate shells, caramel, or any of the other sinfully sweet candies available.

On the  San Sebastian Winery 's free tour, you will sample the wines starting with the driest and leading to the sweetest. If you go on the weekend, the winery tour is slightly abbreviated—visit during the week so you can hear more details from the guides. The tour ends in the gift shop where you can buy individual bottles or discounted cases of your favorite wines from the tasting. The Winery has a rooftop area called  The Cellar Upstairs  with a great view that pairs perfectly with a glass of their vintner's red wine. If you don't stop by after the tour, go back in the evening, there's usually live music playing.

The Distillery

While touring the St. Augustine Distillery you will try two of the cocktails served in the Ice Plant next door. The Ice Plant is the Distillery's urban, 1920s themed restaurant and bar with the same branding as their liquors. The free tour begins once you clock in with your ticket. First you watch a short video about the local sourcing of the ingredients. Then you get to see the copper pot stills where their liquor is distilled and learn about the process. After the tour you will step into the shop to buy their liquor and specialty cocktail mixers.

No visit to St. Augustine is complete without a tour of St. Augustine Distillery.

Boat tours will operate in rain but it is up to the boat captain to cancel the tour if conditions are not appropriate to be in the water.

There are metered parking spaces and private parking lots around the Plaza de la Constitucion.

CAN WE BRING OUR PUPPY?

Well behaved dogs are welcomed as long as they can seat on the owner's lap and remain on a leash.

Nights of Lights Tours

Between the weekend before Thanksgiving and the end of December, we offer tours of St. Augustine's world-famous Nights of Lights with Jack Frost and Mrs. Cratchitt. These tours are available nightly between 5:30 and 10 p.m. Call or email us directly to book now for Nights of Lights 2023!  

Beginning January 2, 2023, we  will offer our regular, 90-minute tours every night - all the city's history, and Christmas lights, too! To see the lights, please book at 6 p.m. or later.

Event Details

As if channeling another dimension where genres simply don’t exist, Rainbow Kitten Surprise finds harmony in unpredictability – weaving together lyrical poetry, hummable melodies, and a rush of instrumental eccentricities. Now boasting over 2 billion global streams across platforms, the band first began building their devoted fanbase with independent albums SEVEN + MARY(2013) and RKS (2015). The band’s breakout full-length debut for Elektra, HOW TO: FRIEND, LOVE, FREEFALL, arrived in April 2018. Produced by GRAMMY® Award-winner Jay Joyce (Cage The Elephant, Lainey Wilson), the album featured RIAA-certified Platinum single “It’s Called: Freefall,” earned widespread praise from Billboard, TIME, Vice, and NPR who described their sound as “…a mix of jam and indie and whatever else you can throw into the soup…very earnest, beautiful, political, loving rock n’ roll,” and saw the band make several national television appearances, including performances on “CBS Saturday Morning,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” and PBS’s “Austin City Limits.”

After gracing the bills of Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Osheaga, to name a few, RKS moved 80,000 tickets of their own on the sold-out 2018/2019 Friend, Love, Freefall Tour. That tour was earmarked by a sold-out debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and three consecutive gigs in Athens, GA (the latter of which were chronicled on their first official live album, LIVE FROM ATHENS GEORGIA, released in 2021).

The band released a two-track single Mary (B-Sides) in May 2019 – consisting of “Heart” and “No Vacancy.” The following year brought the release of standalone single “Our Song” – already a fan favorite in their live rotation prior to release – as well as a livestream concert in July, held for thousands of fans on what would’ve been the date of another sold-out Red Rocks performance (cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic). In March 2022, the band released the emotionally charged track “Work Out,” marking their first new music in nearly two years.

2022 also saw the band set out on their first full headline trek in nearly 3 years, a run that included their long-awaited, sold-out, two-night return to Red Rocks. And in 2022 alone, with the help of partners PLUS1 and Propeller, Rainbow Kitten Surprise raised over $170k for food banks in local tour markets, LGBTQ+ causes, and mental health initiatives.
