Where Is Taylor Swift’s Red Lip?

It’s a crucial part of the “Reputation” aesthetic.

taylor swift

If Taylor Swift loves one thing in this world (aside from her fans, of course), it’s easter eggs. She’s a mastermind (pun intended) and has been known to drop (Taylor’s Version) hints with her manicures, her clothing choices, and her makeup aesthetics. So, when she showed up to the 2023 VMAs in a black dress and with an eyeliner wing sharp enough to be considered a weapon, Swifties instantly lost their minds.

Why? It’s a clear nod to her “Reputation” album, which is rumored to be the next re-release following 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in October. Could she be announcing the drop later tonight? It remains to be seen, but a quick scan of social media proves that fans certainly think so.

taylor swift

And, while I’m the last person that wants to put a damper on Swiftie excitement, I can’t help but call out that we’re missing a key “Reputation” era factor: The red lip. For those not familiar with Taylor’s beauty back-log, allow me to explain. The singer-songwriter loves a ruby lip. Her go-to is Pat McGrath’s LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick in Elson 4 . It’s been a staple on her Era’s tour and has been by her side for a large portion of her career. The red lip was especially relevant in her life during her "Reputation" era.

Despite the missing feature, fans were quick to point out other outfit easter eggs. She wore a handful of necklaces to the music’s biggest night (five to be exact), which appears to be eerily similar to the “Reputation” album cover art.

While rumors and hopes swirl among fans, it’s safe to say that the singer-songwriter has already had a successful night. She’s taken home the VMA for Song of the Year and Best Music Video of the Year, both for Anti-Hero. The song was featured on the Midnights album.

I tested Taylor Swift's 'kiss-proof' red lipstick to find out if it's actually worth the hype

How does the pat mcgrath liquilust liquid lipstick hold up while eating, drinking, working and kissing.

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

As a non-famous dog lover who isn't musically talented, there isn't much I have in common with Taylor Swift, except that we both share a love of red lipstick. I have about 19 in my makeup drawer right now! But no lipstick has captured both my — and the world's — attention as Taylor's current red lipstick .

Not only does it last through entire rain shows during the Eras Tour, it's also seemingly unimpaired after passionately kissing her boyfriend Travis Kelce on the field after the Super Bowl. Taylor's kiss-proof lipstick in question? The Pat McGrath Labs LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Lipstick in Elson 4 .

A cool-toned red, the Pat McGrath liquid lipstick has flown off shelves since the makeup artist herself revealed that Taylor first wore it in the 2022 for the "Bejeweled" music video . Inspired by the color and staying power, I had to try it out for myself.

After securing the liquid lipstick at my local Sephora , I wanted to test it out in four different situations: eating, drinking, a full work day and kissing.

Pat McGrath Labs LiquiLust Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick

Shop Taylor Swift's red lipstick in 15 different colors.

  • Stays vibrant all day
  • Doesn't dry out lips
  • Easy to apply
  • Little-to-no smudging
  • Some product transfer
  • Not kiss-proof

First Impressions:

For consistency's sake, I applied the lipstick the same way every time. The first thing I did was line my lips with my favorite Nars Powermatte High-Intensity Long-Lasting Lip Pencil in Cruella (another blue red lipstick). Then, I dove in with the Pat McGrath liquid lipstick , painting my bottom lip and then my upper lip and quickly blot my lips together.

Upon first swipe, I was surprised at just how light the lipstick felt on my lips compared to other matte liquid lipsticks I’ve worn. It honestly felt like I was swiping on a standard lipstick, just with a lot more precision. I already knew that I look great in cool-toned red lipsticks, but I was shocked at just how good this color looked on me.

So, is the Pat McGrath Liquilust liquid lipstick worth the hype?

After putting it through each test, Taylor's red lipstick became an instant favorite. While it isn't totally transfer-proof and smudged when faced with a cheeseburger and a good make-out session, it's still worth the $34 price tag. Not only did the gorgeous color stay vibrant throughout the tests, this is the only liquid lipstick that didn't dry my lips out. It was also super easy to take off at the end of the day with my normal makeup remover.

Scroll below for my complete review of the Pat McGrath Liquilust Legendary Wear Lipstick .

Test #1: Eating

I decided to do the food test at my birthday dinner. I mean, what better time is there to rock a red lip? Other than The Eras Tour and the Super Bowl, of course. And unlike when I normally wear lipstick, I was not going to be careful while eating. Still, I was a little nervous so I packed the lipstick, lip liner and micellar-soaked cotton pad in a baggie to the restaurant in case it needed a touch-up — or just completely wiped off. As soon as I walked into the restaurant, everybody at the table commented on just how good my lipstick looked. We were off to a great start.

Chips and guacamole

Fried calamari with marinara sauce

A cheeseburger and fries

Birthday cake

The Pat McGrath liquid lipstick passed the round of drinks and two appetizers with flying (red) colors. There was zero transfer, smudging and at one point I even forgot that I was wearing lipstick. My pout only started to falter with the cheeseburger. After a few greasy bites, I could feel the lipstick starting to smudge. There was also some noticeable transfer on the burger. By the end of the night, the lipstick had faded most noticeable in the center of my lips. But for an entire meal out, including eating a cheeseburger with purposeful abandon, with no touch-ups, it did better than I thought it would.

Test #2: Whole Work Day

Except for the occasional swipe of my beloved Glossier Boy Brow , I never wear makeup when working from home. But if Taylor can wear this lipstick while performing for almost four hours in front of tens of thousands of fans for nights on end, I can absolutely wear it during an eight-hour work day.

I ate breakfast, changed out of my pajamas into real clothes and then swiped on the Pat McGrath liquid lipstick , curious if it would stay intact all day long. It was just as vibrant and velvety as I remembered. After allowing the product to dry, I made my morning cup of tea and opened my computer. About 15 minutes into the work day, I had already forgotten that I was wearing the lipstick — only remembering when I would see my reflection in the bathroom mirror. It’s wild how lightweight it is.

The color barely faded throughout the day, lasting through lunch, mid-afternoon snacks and my limitless daily water intake. There was a little bit of color bleeding in the corners of my mouth and some clearer dry spots, but I was seriously impressed at just how vibrant it stayed. Even if it didn’t, though, the pop of bold red first thing in the morning was such a confidence boost that it wouldn’t matter.

Test #3: Drinking

There’s absolutely no way that Taylor isn’t drinking any water when she goes backstage between eras for her costume changes. Plus, we’ve seen her chug on the jumbotron at the Super Bowl. And still, her lipstick is intact and as bright as ever.

Like I mentioned above, I completely forgot that I was wearing the lipstick until I took a sip from my mug and noticed the ring of red it left on the lip. Considering it transferred to both the burger and the back of my hand, I wasn’t too surprised. I’m happy to report that the lipstick stayed intact while drinking from my mug and my Stanley Tumbler lookalike.

Test #4: Kissing

The final test, of course, had to be kissing. My fiancé and I have been together for almost ten years now. He’s been with me through every waxy drugstore lipstick, the Kylie Lip Kit era, tinted balms, lip stains, etc., etc. Basically, we’re pretty used to the whole kissing-with-lipstick song and dance, transfers and all. And while Taylor and Travis haven’t been totally immune to the red lipstick transfer, it’s still shocking how kiss-proof Taylor’s lipstick seems to be.

I had been wearing my lipstick for more than eight hours by the time my fiancé got home. Even though it was still transferring, the lipstick had already survived the whole day. But could it survive a kiss? And could it survive a kiss ? First, we tested it out with a classic peck. Like I expected, the lipstick looked as fresh as it did pre-kiss. There was just a little bit of transfer to my fiancé that I was able to easily wipe off with my thumb.

But that was just a quick kiss! Taylor, Travis and her perfect red lip are out here on the field passionately kissing . So this time I dove in for the full-on make-out session. And, um, no it absolutely did not stay on my lips. Yes, it did get all of my fiancé’s face.

Even though the lipstick didn’t survive the final kissing test, my fiancé did note that this lipstick felt a lot smoother than lesser reds I've worn. Obviously, he knew that he was kissing me while I was wearing lipstick, but it wasn’t an overwhelmingly chalky feeling like he felt with previous liquid lipsticks.

Final Verdict

I can see why Taylor is in love with the Pat McGrath Liquilust Legendary Wear Lipstick . Except for some smudging and transfer, it's everything you can want in a vibrant liquid lipstick. However, what sorcery is Taylor out here using when it comes to transfer?!?! Please let a girl know, thank you so much.

Even though it's not as kiss-proof as Taylor makes it seem, I'm still obsessed with how good this lipstick looks and feels.

Taylor Swift is known for many things — leaving Easter eggs in her lyrics, her record-setting Eras tour , and, of course, her iconic red lipstick.

Swift's signature red lips recently caught renewed attention when she was spotted sporting the look at numerous Chiefs games this fall and winter, but the singer has been rocking the look since 2009, when she tried on the style for an Allure cover shoot .

We've scoured through years of interviews with Swift and her makeup artists to bring you all the confirmed shades the singer has relied on to create her signature red lip. As with most products Swift wears, several of these shades are in such high demand that they're perpetually sold out. Where possible, we've provided in-stock alternatives alongside the exact Swift-approved products. You'll find a few more of Swift's favorite makeup items in our gifts for Swifties roundup.

If you're planning to try red lips out for yourself, we recommend taking a note from Taylor and keeping the rest of your makeup simple: "I always make a choice: is it going to be a heavy eye look or a heavy lip look? if I'm gonna do a red lip I'll do a simple cat eye liner," Swift said in a 2013 interview with Yahoo Shine .

Makeup artist Pat McGrath revealed in an Instagram post the exact products she used to create Taylor's red lip for the Bejeweled music video. While McGrath uses a mix of products, the base of the look is McGrath's own LiquiLUST Matte Lipstick in shade Elson 4. This vivid cool blue is also rumored to be in Swift's rotation during her Eras tour performances. This shade is almost always sold out, but makeup obsessives over at Temptalia have identified Rare Beauty's Lip Soufflé Matte Cream Lipstick in Transform as a 95% match for Elson 4.

What Is Taylor Swift's Go-To Red Lipstick in 2024?

Taylor Swift and red lipstick have almost become synonyms over the years. It's rare to see the star without her trademark red lip, but what is the exact shade she is wearing lately? Well, we set out to find out — but first, let's go back to basics.

Where did Taylor Swift 's obsession with red lipstick start? Well, as most Swifties would know, the star famously wore red lipstick for the very first time on the  cover of  Allure  back in 2009. According to the magazine, she loved the red shade makeup artist Gucci Westman used on her for the occasion so much that she left the shoot with a tube of her own. From then on, the look became her staple, going on to feature in lyrics for the likes of "Style," "Wildest Dreams," and "Blank Space."

Taylor Swift arrives at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

"I never really get too far from red lipstick, do I? I guess I just think my face looks worse without it," Swift  told  People  in 2014. "That's pretty much the only rationale behind it." During her many outings (and game nights) in late 2023 and 2024, Swift's lips have been redder than ever before — maybe it's because we finally got  Red (Taylor's version)  in November — and while Swift's longtime makeup artist Lorrie Turk is keeping the singer's current go-to combo on lock, many have speculated none other than Pat McGrath is behind Taylor Swift's red lipstick at the moment.

Many people believe Taylor Swift is rocking the  Pat McGrath LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick in Elson 4  as of late. While we don't know if this is the shade she is rocking while she smooches Travis Kelce on the field , we do know it is the shade she wears in her "Bejeweled" music video, and they look pretty close to us. (Many people also believe this is the  rainproof lipstick she wore onstage  during the  Eras  Tour.)

When the video for "Bejeweled" came out in October 2022, Pat McGrath actually shared some intel about the lipstick. "When I think of Taylor, I always think of a  perfect  red lip," the famed makeup artist told  E! News . "When we first did the Met Gala in 2010, we did a bold, confident, empowered look centered on red matte lipstick. For 'Bejeweled' and her VMAs appearance [in 2022], I couldn't imagine  not  doing something with red lipstick."

McGrath mixed four different shades to create an ombré effect for the "Bejeweled" music video. She layered the Elson 4 as the piece of resistance over three different shades of the  PermaGel Ultra Glide Lip Pencil  — namely  Deep Dive ,  Blood Lust , and  Deep Void . That said, the makeup artist is now also selling a  "Taylor-Made" lip kit for $60 , with a $68 value, which includes a MatteTrance™ Lipstick in Elson 2 and PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Structure. The description for the kit says this is the "on-set lip duo" Swift uses, so this might the more updated version.

The 'Taylor-Made' Lip Kit

While we won't know if this is truly the star's go-to now until she herself (or Turk) confirms it, we do know exactly which red lipsticks Swift has loved in the past. Back in 2015,  Swift publicly professed  her love for the iconic Ruby Woo by MAC . "I think everyone knows it is a staple. I was the last person to discover it," she said at the time, and she also told  MTV  a year before that while she had a lot of go-to's, she always gravitated towards two specifically. "One that really can't go wrong is Dragon Girl by NARS . And also, I heard on the radio that Hilary Duff wore Luxembourg by NARS, so I bought Luxembourg by NARS. And it's really good, too."

Red is timeless, so if they were food for Taylor Swift, then they are probably still a safe bet now.

Taylor Swift’s Vast Lipstick Collection Goes Far Beyond Her Beloved Reds

But there’s plenty of that too.

Taylor Swift NARS lipstick 2014 Met Gala

Listen to enough Taylor Swift songs and certain motifs start to appear. There’s a lot of wistful longing, storybook imagery, dresses, some self-loathing, boys in cars, and rain — usually dancing, kissing, crying, or fighting in it — but lipstick references are deserving of their own distinct category. Since she adopted it as one of her trademarks back in 2012, she’s been synonymous with a singular shade of blood-red — but Swift’s favorite lipstick colors range far beyond just a classic crimson. Piece together some of her best-ever looks and you might find that the “Ivy” singer can get surprisingly versatile in the makeup department, shifting between dark, dramatic tones and feather-light nudes with enviable ease.

Just as her musical genres shift with each of the star’s assorted “eras”, she often adopts a new corresponding look that matches sound with aesthetic — and that includes her go-to lipstick colors. The loud-and-proud pinks of the Lover album cycle , for instance, stands in sharp opposition to the dark, vampy near-blacks she favored during Reputation . Of course, that’s to say nothing of her off-duty looks, which are usually just as unexpected as her eclectic wardrobe choices.

Ahead, get inspired by Swift’s best and most beloved lipstick colors in recent memory, complete with exact shade matches when possible.

Hot Pink Lipstick

Taylor Swift hot pink lipstick 2019

Throughout 2019’s Lover Era, Swift was regularly seen in the punchiest shades of hot pink, both on the red carpet and in her technicolor music videos. Ultra-bright colors were the name of the game, often in creamy finishes that reflected the jewels, crystals, sequins, and sparkles that adorned her event outfits all year long.

True Red Lipstick

Taylor Swift red liquid lipstick Grammys 2023

Above all else, it’s critical that a bold red is immovable . Liquid lipsticks are the conventional choice, and Swift’s preferred pick comes straight from a fellow legend. Dame Pat McGrath has been doing the singer-songwriter’s makeup for a few years now using products from her best-selling line, including the LiquiLUST Matte Lipstick in shade Elson (sadly sold out at most retailers). It’s rumored that Swift even wears this shade on-stage at her Eras Tour concerts.

Oxblood Red Lipstick

When Swift took a hard left turn into a darker, more industrial sound with a vampy new persona to match in 2017, she traded in her bright reds for their deeper — dare I say cooler? — sisters. On-stage at the Reputation Stadium Tour, she of course favored a liquid lipstick again for its saying power, but this time in a rich shade of oxblood.

Swift’s multi-year love affair with Mac’s Retro Matte Liquid Lip Color in Back In Vogue was immortalized in her Miss Americana documentary, in which fans see the star applying it herself. All good things must come to an end, though, and the shade was eventually discontinued. However, the brand’s Lady-Be-Good comes from the same line and is virtually identical — same warm, peachy-nude, same soft matte finish.

Glittery Lipstick

The deep, glittery lipstick Swift wore in the “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” music video was fans’ first hint that she was headed in a darker aesthetic — but no less glamorous — direction altogether. Impossibly shimmery even in low mood lighting, McGrath confirmed on Instagram that Swift was wearing her Lust 004 Lip Kit throughout the sultry video. Though the famously glittery sets are since discontinued, fans beg McGrath to bring them back to this day.

Lo and behold, Swift was kind enough to let fans in on another exact lipstick match. Absolutely instrumental to her 1989 era was this appearance at the 2014 Met Gala, which she attended with then-bestie Karlie Kloss. In a since-deleted Instagram post shared to her Instagram, Swift uploaded a photo of herself applying the soft matte crayon-style lipstick.

Rusty Orange Lipstick

Call it a micro-tweak — trading in her usual scarlets for a punchy shade of bright orange instantly summer-fied Swift’s look when she hit the recording studio in June. Though more tropically-toned than her other lipsticks in rotation, note that this one is also a matte. She was spotted in the shade a few times throughout 2023, suggesting a newfound favorite.

Red-Black Lipstick

Seen here at the 2016 Met Gala, this is the darkest shade of lipstick Swift’s worn in public — it was also one of her most reached-for colors well into 2017. It appears as almost a true black at first glance, but you’ll quickly see the rich red just beneath, like a black cherry color.

Mod-Pink Lipstick

So many of Swift’s coolest makeup moments incorporate cool tones — makes perfect sense. To complement the shimmery platinum fishnet in her 2013 Grammys gown, Swift went for icy blue eye eyeshadow and a mod-pink lip lighter and brighter than most of the shades she wore that year. It’s a decidedly delicate switch-up that still resonates today.

It's likely that Taylor rotates through a number of red lipsticks , but her long-time makeup artist Lorrie Turk has always kept a tight lip on the singer's signature pout. In fact, Taylor last told People in 2015 that she "discovered Ruby Woo by MAC, which I think everyone knows is a staple. I was the last person to discover it."

The multi-hyphenate star also once professed her love for Nars, even wearing it on the 2014 Met Gala red carpet. "I have a lot of go-tos as far as red lipstick," Taylor told MTV in 2014 . "But one that really can't go wrong is Dragon Girl."

Her penchant for red lips traces back to 2012 when Redbook reported CoverGirl's lipstick as another favorite. The songstress told the outlet she perfected the look by placing a tissue between her lips and blotting. "If I really need the color to last, I hold the tissue against my mouth and brush translucent powder over it, which sets the color," she added.

And while Taylor's makeup artist hasn't dropped an official makeup routine, she shared a few of her personal favorites in a 2021 Shop My Shelf blog . That included red hues like Fenty Beauty's liquid lipstick in the fiery shade "Uncensored."

Knowing Taylor, it's only a matter of time before she creates her own red lipstick line. But in the meantime, she recently teamed with renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath for the "Bejeweled" music video.

The artist used the LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Lipstick in shade "Elson 4" — though, now sold out — and the PermaGel Ultra Glide Lip Pencils in Deep Dive, Blood Lust and Deep Void for an ombré effect.

What Is Taylor Swift's Signature Red Lip? An Investigation

We went deep.

Throughout Taylor Swift's nearly 20-year career, she's leaned on red lipstick as her staple beauty look. Whether she's performing for her millions of fans on tour or supporting boyfriend Travis Kelce at a Kansas City Chiefs game, the singer keeps her pout bold and red. It all started back in 2009 when Swift posed for the March 2009 Allure cover . Makeup artist Gucci Westman gave Swift her first-ever red lip, and the rest is history.

The Origin of Taylor Swift's Famous Red Lip

"She’d never worn a red lip,” Westman told Elle Australia in late 2023. “When the red lip happened, I had to get permission by her mum [Andrea Swift].” She revealed that Swift's management told her, "Taylor doesn’t do red, [and] I said, ‘Well, Taylor needs to try red.'”

Westman doesn't recall the exact red lip she used for the cover shoot, but she recommends mixing the shades Brick and Tomato from the Lip Suede: Les Rouges palette from her eponymous makeup line.

Why Taylor Swift Wears Red Lipstick

Since this fateful day, Swift has kept up her red lip. It "really helps you show emotion," Swift shared with E! News in 2010. According to Leatrice Eiseman , executive director at the Pantone Color Institute, red also has that inescapable allure. “Red is mother nature’s signal color — think of hummingbirds and their attraction to red,” Eiseman previously told InStyle . “It is a dynamic color that is impossible to ignore.”

Taylor Swift's Favorite Red Lipstick Products

In the years since the debut of her red lip, Swift has continued to switch it up with different red lipsticks. In 2015, the singer revealed to People  that she used the iconic MAC lipstick Ruby Woo. She's also reported to have worn the  NARS Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl .

In 2022, the makeup mother herself, Pat McGrath, revealed the exact products she used from her eponymous (and legendary) makeup line to doll Swift up for the Bejeweled music video. "'Taylor is the most divine collaborator and a superb director. She is meticulous, thorough, and detailed. My goal was to use make-up to communicate Taylor’s unique vision," McGrath told Elle UK . "We took her signature lip to the next level by using LiquiLUST: Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick ELSON 4 and then created what I call a “contour-Ombré” lip with three different shades of my PermaGel Ultra Glide Lip Pencils in Deep Dive and Blood Lust and Deep Void."

Taylor Swift's Favorite Shade of Red

Out of all of the reds she's worn, they all have one major thing in common. "Her shade is usually consistent with a true red," says makeup artist Neil Scibelli. "It’s not too orange, and it’s not too brick - it’s right in the middle as a true red." Keeping the look consistent in this way has allowed it to become such a signature look. "It has been a consistent feature that she has leaned into for most of her career," adds Scibelli.

Whether Swift is performing long shows, going out to dinner with friends, or kissing Kelce on the field, the lipstick does. not. budge. So it's clear that she reaches for reds with long-lasting staying power for a clean look. It's always "a demi-matte or creamy, velvety formula," says Scibelli. "Something that isn’t too matte and drying yet isn’t overly glossy." Because of this, it's crucial to have a smooth canvas prior to application.  “I love to exfoliate my lips prior to applying any lip to remove dry skin,” Mariela Bagnato , professional makeup artist and founder of MBeauty, previously told InStyle.

To land a red look that's identical to Swifts, go for a neutral red. For a more Swift-adjacent look, find that bold, long-lasting red in a shade that really suits your skin tone and undertones. "Everyone can find their red," says Scibelli. "If you’re not a true red, you may be a pink-red or an orangey red. But I think there’s a way to wear a statement red for everyone."

And no matter what red lip you choose, embrace your inner pop star and rock it with confidence.

10 Eras Tour Makeup Ideas Inspired By Every Taylor Swift Album

Best believe you'll be bejeweled.

@alexandraafrench /Instagram

Securing a ticket for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is like winning the lottery at this point—if you have an upcoming show on your calendar, consider yourself extremely lucky. Swift has released a whopping four albums and two "Taylor's version" re-releases since she last toured in 2018, and is coming back bigger then ever with a show that celebrates every single one of her albums—or, eras. From her country-tinged self titled album to the edgy Reputation, Swift is playing all the hits, with the outfit changes to match.

Going to a concert is sort of like Halloween in the sense that you have every right to go all out with your outfit for the occasion. Yet, no look is complete without stunning makeup (and a Swift-inpsired Eras mani ) to complete the look. Not sure where to start? Read on for the best Eras Tour makeup ideas, inspired by each of Swift's albums, and prepare to arrive in style (sorry).

Taylor Swift/Debut Album

@walker_ash /Instagram

Taylor hit the scene with a guitar and a dream, and seeing as she was a teen at the time, she generally stuck to makeup that was bright and age-appropriate. However, she went a little bolder for her music videos, and this makeup look riffs off her iconic green dress and rhinestone-studded eyes in the music video for “Teardrops on My Guitar," which was essentially Euphoria makeup before Euphoria.

For a similar look, first take a green eyeshadow like the Sephora Collection Sephora Colorful Eyeshadow in Emerald and blend two hazy circular patterns on the inner and outer corners of the eye. Then, accentuate the center of the lid with a shimmering silver like ColourPop's Super Shock Shadow in Ice Dream, and finish off the look with a mini wing and intense lashes. If you’re looking to add some dazzle, you can also apply rhinestone decals to the outer corner of the eye and extend them toward the top of your cheekbone.

@chloebailey /Instagram

Fearless is the album that features some of Swift’s most recognizable hits like “Love Story”—but to Swifties, it’s so much more than that. This album was the first that Taylor re-released after claiming the rights to her own music. The original album cover features Swift in a gold-toned dress, which is super easy to mimic with a dripping-in-gold makeup look. Add a pop of gold shimmer onto your eyelids with a shadow like the Danessa Myricks Beauty Colorfix Pigment in Goldmine, and then try adding the Makeup by Mario Master Crystal Reflector in Citrine to the high points of the face for a Midas-worthy highlight.

@charli_xcx /Instagram

There’s no rule that says wearing glitter is synonymous with a complicated makeup look—especially when off to a concert where you'll be dancing all night long. You can dip into this striking purple look—reminiscent of Swift's purple gown on the album's cover—with a wash of the shade Astral Amethyst Moon from the Pat Mcgrath Labs Mothership IX: Huetopian Dreams Palette. To take things up a notch, add a poppy blush like the Iconic London Sheer Cream Blush in Cheeky Coral to your cheeks for a coral flush. Finish off the look by brushing up your brows with the Patrick Ta Major Brow Lamination Gel, et, voila, a look that takes mere minutes to create.

@jennakristina /Instagram

A red lip is the quintessential Taylor Swift makeup look, but it's especially fitting if you want to pay homage to her Red album. Whereas Swift usually pairs her red lips with a subtle wing, you can take a less intense approach by layering a true red matte like the Nars Powermatte Lipstick in Dragon Girl under a red lip gloss like Glossier's Lip Gloss in Red and then faintly sculpt the eyes with neutral shadows.

@katiejanehughes /Instagram

1989 called on pop hits from the 80’s (the decade in which Swift was born), and is all about energetic beats, striking outfits, and makeup that pops. As a tribute to the blue eyeshadow looks that ruled the decade, you can take a softer approach and use a baby blue like the Gxve by Gwen Stefani Paint It Up Cream Eyeshadow in shade 1998 to create haze of shimmery blue shadow all around your inner and outer corners. Finish it off with a sharp wing using the Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Liner and add the Velour Vegan Luxe Lashes in Serendipity for a wispy look that’ll last you through the night.

@makeupbyvincent /Instagram

Taylor can do vampy too, and she made that very clear with her Reputation album. Throughout the tour, she was decked out in black bodysuits and thigh-high leather boots, and literally wore undead glam in the music video for “Look What You Made Me Do.” If you’re planning on wearing your best all-black ‘fit, you’ll want to pair the look with a dark red glossy lip, like the Hourglass Phanton Volumizing Glossy Balm in Haze and just a smidge of the Kosas Glow I.V. Skin Illuminating Enhancer to add a reflective finish to the skin. A few coats of the Ilia Limitless Lash Lengthening Mascara should be enough for a look that’s both glam and moody.

@alexandraafrench /Instagram

Following the dark vibes of Reputation , Swift released Lover , which had a girly aesthetic to match the romantic themes. There are pink, purple, and blue pastels all over the album cover and the accompanying music videos, so your best rendition of a Lover -inspired beat will include a girly overload.

Begin by swiping a pink eyeshadow all over your crease and brow bone, and extend the color toward your temples. Then, amplify your lashes by applying a deeper pink on the upper and lower lash lines before adding rhinestone decals from the Simi Haze Eye Play Dance Pack around your eyes. Finish off with the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fu$$y for a bold take on Taylor’s cutest album.

@maryphillips /Instagram

Swift went for a more pared-down aesthetic for this album and, admittedly, wears very little makeup throughout the album’s music videos—it was quarantine, after all. Still, the album cover’s black and white vibe immediately made us think of a soft smokey look that you can easily DIY. First, take the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette in The Rock Chick and smoke out the palette's darkest grey shadow along your crease and lower lash line. Then, apply the palette's glittery silver shade to the lid (because glitter is almost a necessity for a Taylor concert), and follow that by blending a black liner along the upper and lower lash lines. Finish off with a clear lip gloss for a pop of shine.

@makeupvincent /Instagram

If you’re looking for some softer makeup to wear on the big night, there’s no better album to reference than the ethereal Evermore . You can wear a monochromatic makeup look, and use a multi-stick like the Live Tinted Huestick in Perk for a wash of peach on the lids and lips, and then use the Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Blush in Light Pink along the cheekbones. Brush up your brows for a feathery effect, and you now have a no-makeup makeup look that pairs perfectly with some of Swift's most emotional songs.

Swift brought back the glitz with her Midnights album, and throughout this entire era, she wore glittery navy looks that mimicked a starry night sky. You’ll want to go bold with this look and start off by blending the Violette_Fr Yeux Paint in Blue de Minuit—which means "midnight" in French—all along the lid and crease. After that, use the Haus Labs Hy-Power Eye, Cheek, and Lip Pigment Paint in shade Black Onyx Matte to create a smokey wing that extends towards the temples, and intensify the eyes even further with a black liner along the waterline. Finally, finish the look off with the Tower 28 Beach Please Lip + Cheek Cream Blush in Happy Hour along your cheeks and lips, and you’re sure to look bejeweled.

Taylor Swift Shared Secrets About Her 'Reputation' Tour & The Details Are Unreal

Taylor Swift's Reputation Stadium Tour officially kicks off tonight, May 8, in Arizona. For the 13 days leading up to the start of the tour, Swift has been posting behind-the-scenes looks and clues about the tour so fans can properly prepare their excitement for the experience. And these secrets from Taylor Swift's Reputation Tour will have Swifties everywhere freaking out and impatiently waiting for the tour to come to their hometown.

Swift has an obsession with the number 13 (she was born on Dec. 13, 1989, and used to draw the number on her hand for good luck during performances), so for the 13 days leading up to the Reputation Tour, she's been dropping huge hints about what fans can expect to see during the show. She started things off on April 25 by posting a photo of her at a dance rehearsal for the show saying, "13 days til Reputation Stadium Tour 💋." Before her 13-day countdown even started, she posted a photo of her and her tour dancers posing on a huge set of stairs that appears to be in their rehearsal space. She captioned the post, "Say hi to the reputation Stadium Tour dancers!! Been spending my days rehearsing with these overwhelmingly talented people. 28 DAYS TIL GLENDALE AZ." Now let's break down all of the clues in the Reputation Tour advent calendar.

The opening number is the favorite.

According to BuzzFeed, one of Swift's tour dancers revealed that the opening number for the show is their collective favorite to perform. "You're not going to be prepared for how you're going to feel," they said. "It's a must see."

Swift also revealed on her Instagram story on day 13 of the countdown that she'll be performing 10 songs from her old albums, although she didn't drop any hints about what those songs will be right then. "There will be 10 songs from previous albums," she said. "I'm really excited about playing stuff from Reputation , and really excited about playing songs from previous albums too." If you're a diehard "All Too Well," "Blank Space," or "Love Story" fan, you might be in luck.

There are three stages.

In one of her stories, Swift said there will be three stages in the show. One main stage which is apparently the biggest she's ever had, and two other stages that are set in the crowds and are about as big as her 1989 tour main stage.

Swift said on her Instagram story, "It's the biggest stage we've ever had. It's 110 feet tall and most of the B-stages that are out in the audience are pretty much just as big as the main stage was on the 1989 tour."

The main stage is 110 feet tall.

The days/last weeks leading up to any show are always spent running through the entire production day after day (assuming you've finished all the rehearsing you need to get done before you can run the show in its entirety), so Swift's rehearsals now just seem to be them drilling the entire show every day.

"Blank Space" may be a number.

Swift captioned an Instagram post , "Darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a.... girl rehearsing for her tour that starts in 9 DAYS." This could be a hint that she plans on singing "Blank Space" on the tour as one of the 10 songs from previous albums she'll be performing.

Swift has a "rocket sled."

reputation tour lipstick

Swift has been posting a lot of photos from both on top of and under the stage she's rehearsing on. She talked about what goes on under the tour's three massive stages on her Instagram story, revealing that she has a "rocket sled" that glides her from one stage to another.

She said on her Instagram story, "The rocket sled goes underneath the stage and takes me from one place really quickly to another. The stage is so big that we need that." But the video of her riding the rocket sled shows that it... does not move very fast. She could probably run from stage to stage faster than this sled moves, but hey, I'll give her tour points for the creative problem solving...?

The main stage is a big screen.

Swift also revealed on her Instagram story that the main stage is basically one giant screen that she and the dancers had to get used to performing on. She said,

It's got a video screen wall that's pretty seamless and continues down onto the floor. So everything that we walk on on the stage is a screen. It looks so cool from the upper sections of the stadium, but it's a little bit like walking on an optical illusion. We'll get used to it, I promise.

"New Year's Day" will be performed during the tour.

Swift posted a photo of her sitting at the tour's piano on May 4 with the caption, "I want your midnights... 4 days til Reputation Stadium Tour 💕." "I want your midnights" is a line from the song "New Year's Day," so fans can assume they'll be hearing that song performed during the concert.

She also gave the piano its own shout out on her Instagram story, saying "She's so PRETTY."

reputation tour lipstick

The caption on the second photo of the piano on her story said, "I'm playing this piano on 2 songs in the set - 1 new and 1 old." Based on the "I want your midnights" hint, I think it's more than likely that the one new song she'll be playing on this piano is "New Year's Day." She has a huge repertoire of songs to choose from that could easily be played on the piano, so TBD on what the "1 old" song will be.

Taylor's meet-and-greet area is called The Rep Room.

One of the most elaborate parts of the tour isn't even part of the show. Swift revealed the Rep Room on her Instagram story, which will serve as a meet and greet room after the show for a handful of lucky fans who will be selected to go back stage during the concert.

The Rep Room is decked out in Taylor Swift memorabilia from floor to ceiling and features a giant snake sculpture in the center.

reputation tour lipstick

The Rep Room also has a throne in it because of course. Swift said of the room,

There's always a room that we have backstage because during the show we pick people to come backstage afterwards to say hi. On the Red tour it was called Club Red, and for the 1989 tour we had Loft '89. This time it's the Rep Room. We'll be looking in all kinds of different ways to find people so I can meet them which I'm really excited about.

Try and get yourself noticed at the shows, Swifties! It just might mean you get to meet Swift once the show is over.

The rest of Swift's Instagram stories leading up to the tour have showed some sneak peaks into her costumes (most of theme involving sparkles, naturally), her various microphones she'll be using throughout the tour (there are seven and they're all shiny and elaborate), and she also has newspaper-themed confetti that says her name all over them that will apparently fly all over the audience.

Swift isn't messing around with these mics.

reputation tour lipstick

And last but not least, according to BuzzFeed, there will be a Reputation Tour rehearsals blooper reel playing on the screens in the stadiums as fans trickle out at the end of the show. Because if there's one thing Swift wants to make clear with this album, it's that she's down to make fun of herself.

One day before the tour starts: Swift posts a photo of her in Arizona where the first show on the tour is taking place.

View on Instagram

She posed next to a giant cactus and said, "Fact: I’ve never been more excited about a tour than I am about this one. And it starts TOMORROW. Also, not even remotely tour related, but today I met a cactus. 🌵"

Get ready, Swifties. The Reputation Stadium Tour begins tonight!

Taylor Swift's Best Reputation-Era Outfits

Taylor Swift on stage

Taylor Swift's outfits have garnered plenty of attention thanks to the success of her ongoing "Eras Tour" and record-breaking album release, "The Tortured Poets Department." Both on and off the stage, the Pennsylvania native looks fab in just about anything she wears, from jerseys and denim to glittering gowns. Following the release of 2024's "The Tortured Poets Department," the star began sporting a steely assortment of gray, black, and white looks to pay tribute to the launch. However, it's her "Reputation"-era fits that have truly made their mark amongst Swifties and fashionistas across the globe. Taylor Swift's "Reputation" era featured a moody mix of sumptuous jewel tones, leathers, and lace — not to mention, some seriously sparkly snakes.

The singer's "Reputation" era began in the late summer of '17 with a series of cryptic posts shortly before the album of the same name debuted on November 10 of that year. Of course, Taylor Swift's outfits quickly aligned with the theme of her daring new release, and the artist shed her bouncy "1989" aesthetic in favor of edgier 'fits. Whereas "1989" gave us Tay Tay's signature bob haircut, "Reputation" saw Swift return to her natural hair color and introduce darker attire in a stunning transformation . As any Swiftie worth their salt can tell you, Taylor Swift's Christmas snake sweater walked (er, slithered?) so that her serpent "Eras Tour" bodysuit could run. Ahead, we've gathered several of Swift's best "Reputation"-era outfits for you to browse, whether you're seeking "Eras" style inspo or just plotting a very fashionable comeback against your detractors.

Swift's silver ensemble from the 2018 American Music Awards

Always ahead of the disco ball, Taylor Swift channeled her inner dancing queen with a sparkling silver look at the 2018 American Music Awards, held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California. With her honey-blond tresses piled high in a sleek updo with blunt bangs, Swift donned geometric hoop earrings and some soft-glam makeup to let her dress' mirrored design take center stage.

The "I Did Something Bad" singer complemented the ultra-modern, long-sleeved look with  flashy, thigh-high matching boots , perfect for strutting one's stuff down an awards show red carpet. Ultimately, silver proved to be a lucky color for Ms. Swift. After performing a few of her hits at the event, the singer later overthrew Whitney Houston's record for the most AMA wins by a female artist, walking away from the 2018 AMAs with four trophies in hand to add to her collection.

Fans can't forget Swift's sultry one-piece from her Reputation tour

Taylor Swift's "Reputation" tour showcased several unforgettable outfits during its run, but the star's off-black, hooded one-piece instantly won the hearts of Swifties everywhere with sculptural details along its chest and sparkling, geometric accents throughout. The gun-metal garment looked smashing against the red backdrop of Swift's "Reputation" stage, and its instantly recognizable silhouette earned the design a rightful place in the singer's fashion hall of fame.

Swift layered the look with a pair of sheer gray tights under her form-fitting bodysuit, providing a subtle wash of color to pull everything together. To add a little extra drama to the affair, the star wore vampy matte lipstick and let her wavy blond locks trail out from beneath her hood. The cherry on top of T-Swift's "Reputation"-era bodysuit was a pair of matching black lace-up boots, tied tightly just above her knees.

Taylor's Reputation street style was similarly purr-fect

Though Taylor Swift was certainly hard at work on "Reputation" in 2017, the A-list singer still found time to relax in one of her favorite cities of all time: New York. You don't need to be a serious Swiftie to know that she's wild about her three cats — Olivia, Meredith, and Benjamin, in case you forgot — and we like to think these three inspired her ferocious street style.

After all, the centerpiece of this "Reputation"-era look is a denim leopard-print miniskirt, slightly distressed and worn high-waisted beneath a loose lace tee. Swift elevated the edgy 'fit with a minimalist gold necklace, a wispy side braid, and a pair of oversized sunglasses. To beat the New York heat, she accented things with a pair of strappy black sandals to match her onyx top. Last but not least, the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer painted her pout with a layer of her signature red lipstick, completing what has become one of her sexiest outfits.

Swift rocked this gorgeous frock while touring Reputation

During Taylor Swift's "Reputation" era, the star leaned heavily into minidresses, shorts, and above-the-knee bodysuits. That said, Swift also made room for some floor-sweeping styles, too, including a stunning black-and-gold gown embroidered with glittery chainlink details. The unique split hemline of this particular frock allowed the singer to move effortlessly around stadium stages. It also gave Swift's fans a closer look at her "Reputation"-coded black leather ankle boots  — a staple of her wardrobe at the time.

Swift's high-low gown is a definite head-turner, though it's not quite as moody as some of her other "Reputation" tour looks. She rocked an inky plum lip with this split-hem dress, similar to the style of makeup worn with her glittering hooded bodysuit. But even with a daring shade of lipstick, the singer's relaxed blond waves and flushed cheeks softened the dramatic qualities of the black-and-gold ensemble.

Swift's snake Christmas sweater slithered into our hearts

It goes without saying that Taylor Swift's "Reputation" snake bodysuit is one of the most legendary pieces from her "Eras Tour" wardrobe. Boasting several extraordinary details, from its asymmetrical shape to its trailing crimson serpents sewed against a sea of black sequins, the design is a true gem — one that's often imitated by style-savvy Swifties. But before Taylor Swift's snake outfit made fashion headlines during the tour, there was the original "Reputation" reptile-inspired design: Taylor Swift's snake sweater.

The "Bejeweled" crooner caught everyone's attention with this serpentine Christmas sweater back in 2017 while performing at the Z100 Jingle Ball in New York City — and yes, her snaky pal even wore his best Santa hat for the occasion. Sprinkling on a bit more holiday cheer, Swift gave a cheeky nod to her sequined mate with a set of metallic green snake nails to match his scales.

Taylor's edgy summer style paid tribute to Reputation

If there's one thing we've learned about Taylor Swift, it's to expect the unexpected — whether you're busy decoding the lyrics of "The Tortured Poets Department" or her outfit choices over the years. Fortunately, Taylor Swift's fashions are far easier to interpret than the muse behind her cryptic 2024 track, "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived." Swift's "Reputation" era certainly showed us the darker side of her wardrobe, but she also made sure to serve up some cheery looks from time to time.

In lieu of her typical style of the era, Swift stepped out in New York at this time wearing dressed-down denim shorts and a loose white boyfriend shirt. Still, the star made sure to include some "Reputation" Easter eggs, as well. To lend her casual summer 'fit some rebellious flair, Swift accessorized with black leather boots and a bold, bright-red lip.

The Reputation Stadium Tour, Taylor Swift’s first all-stadium venture, represents a significant chapter in her illustrious career, showcasing her evolution from a small-town girl to an international icon.

This ambitious project not only highlighted Swift’s musical genius but also redefined the contours of live music entertainment . Commencing on May 8, 2018, in Glendale, Arizona, the tour embarked on an unforgettable journey that left an indelible mark on the hearts of millions.

The Genesis of a Superstar: Early Years in Reading, Pennsylvania

Taylor Swift’s journey to stardom began in Reading, Pennsylvania, where she was born and raised. From an early age, Swift displayed an uncanny knack for storytelling and melody, crafting songs that resonated with her personal experiences and aspirations. This foundation in Reading laid the groundwork for her meteoric rise, imbuing her music with authenticity and emotional depth that would become her signature.

Embarking on the Stadium Saga

The Reputation Stadium Tour marked a monumental shift in Swift’s live performance strategy. Transitioning from arenas to stadiums, Swift undertook a bold step that few artists could dream of, let alone achieve. This move was not just about the scale of the venues but also about creating a more immersive and impactful experience for fans. It was a testament to Swift’s draw as a global superstar and her ability to connect with audiences on a massive scale.

The Inaugural Show in Glendale: A Night to Remember

On May 8, 2018, the city of Glendale, Arizona, witnessed the inception of the Reputation Stadium Tour, a concert that set the tone for what was to become an epic journey across stadiums. This first show was a spectacle of lights, energy, and music, blending Swift’s new songs with her classics, and setting the stage for a tour that would be remembered for its grandeur and artistic integrity.

Paying Homage to Pennsylvania Roots: Lincoln Financial Field Performance

As Taylor Swift took her Reputation Stadium Tour across the nation, she not only showcased her musical prowess but also paid homage to her Pennsylvania roots, performing in iconic stadiums that are landmarks in the sports world.

For instance, her concert at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field was not just a musical event but a gathering place for local fans who share a love for both Swift’s artistry and the spirited competition found in sports.

This blending of music and sports culture offers a nod to the common ground shared by concert-goers and sports betting and casino enthusiasts in Pennsylvania, who revel in the excitement of a well-played game and a well-performed concert alike.

The Artistry of Live Performances: A Blend of Music and Spectacle

The Reputation Stadium Tour was not merely about the music; it was a masterclass in live performance artistry. Swift meticulously crafted each show to be a visual feast, complete with elaborate stage designs, costumes, and choreography that complemented her musical narratives. This attention to detail ensured that each concert was not just a listening session but a full-on sensory experience that captivated audiences.

The Setlist: A Musical Journey

The tour’s setlist was a carefully curated mix of tracks from the “Reputation” album alongside fan favorites and hits from her previous albums. This selection ensured that the concerts appealed to long-time Swifties as well as newcomers to her music. By balancing her newer, edgier tracks with the classic hits, Swift offered a comprehensive overview of her musical evolution.

Audience Engagement: Connecting With Fans

A hallmark of Swift’s concerts is her ability to forge a personal connection with her audience, and the Reputation Stadium Tour was no exception. Swift went beyond mere performance, sharing anecdotes and experiences that resonated with her fans, creating an atmosphere of intimacy amidst the vastness of the stadiums. This personal touch made each concert feel unique and left fans with the sense that they were part of something truly special.

The Impact on Live Music: Redefining Concert Experiences

The Reputation Stadium Tour set new benchmarks in the realm of live music entertainment. Swift’s all-stadium endeavor showcased the potential for artists to create expansive and elaborate live shows that go beyond traditional concert formats. It pushed the boundaries of what live music events could be, influencing both contemporaries and upcoming artists to think bigger and bolder in their concert presentations.

Legacy of the Tour: A Milestone in Swift’s Career

The Reputation Stadium Tour is remembered not just for its commercial success but as a pivotal moment in Taylor Swift’s career. It solidified her status as one of the most influential artists of her generation, capable of pulling off an unprecedented stadium tour. The tour’s legacy lies in its demonstration of Swift’s versatility as an artist and her unwavering connection with her fans.

Conclusion: A Testament to Talent and Tenacity

Taylor Swift’s Reputation Stadium Tour was more than just a series of concerts; it was a bold statement of artistic ambition and a celebration of the bond between an artist and her fans. From its kickoff in Glendale to the finale, the tour encapsulated the essence of Swift’s journey from Reading, Pennsylvania, to global superstardom.

Through sheer talent, determination, and a deep connection with her audience, Taylor Swift redefined the landscape of live music entertainment, leaving an indelible mark on the industry and on the hearts of millions of fans worldwide.

Taylor Swift is Back with Her Reputation Tour

What says ‘reputation tour’ better than all-black looks.

Just in case you missed it, or actually care, Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour just kicked off. The singer, who has much to prove after yet another year of he said/she said drama, addressed it all and looked damn good while doing it! Perhaps the most notable thing about her Reputation Tour thus far is her address to her never-ending feud with Kanye West and his wife, Kim Kardashian. Of the feud, she said:

“A couple of years ago, someone called me a snake on social media and it caught on. And then a lot of people called me a lot of names on social media. And I went through some really low times for a while because of it.”

She then thanked her loyal fans for having her back throughout the drama, and put on one heck of a show for them! Taylor performed 24 songs and made 8 outfit changes – yes, eight! If you can’t wait for her to come to your city to see every outfit and makeup look she rocked, check out these pictures from the first night of the Reputation Tour.

Taylor wore a hooded sequined bodysuit, cropped jacket, and black fishnets. While we can’t see much of her makeup, we got a glimpse of her signature wavy , blonde shag. Taylor’s hair is always summer ready and so are we!

It turns out that the hoodie is detachable! Taylor removed her hoodie and cropped jacket to reveal what turned out to be  a one-shouldered bodysuit. They say “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it”; this saying can’t be more true for Taylor’s blonde, wavy shag, full bangs, and some shade of red lipstick. Nothing quite says, “I don’t care what you think about me” like sticking to what you are known for or what works for you.

For her third look of the Reputation Tour, Taylor switched into a black mini dress with large, iridescent sequins that glistened purple and blue under the light. As usual, she kept her hair and makeup classically Taylor.

Let’s just say the Reputation Tour was all about sequins, too! Playing up the “snake” theme that surrounded her reputation over the past couple years, the singer slipped into a sequined, snakeskin bodysuit, with a sheer, belated robe. Taylor truly embodied the country princess, turned pop diva image that we have all come to live with this look.

Taylor Swift plays up "snake" theme by wearing black snakeskin bodysuit during Reputation Tour

It’s not often you see someone rocking a glitzy look and strumming away at an acoustic guitar. However, for fifth outfit, Taylor wore a custom emerald green, sequined Reputation Tour utility jacket. Just in case you missed it, she wore navy blue, metallic nail polish on her short nails for full commitment to her grunge vibe.

Juxtaposed against a gold snake background, Taylor slipped into a black and gold sequined bodysuit with thigh high, leather matching boots. Once again, she channeled her inner pop diva by switching to a gold mic that matched her stage decor. Is it just us or does her outfit remind you a bit of the costume Beyoncé wore when she performed alongside during Bruno Mars and Coldplay for Superbowl 50?

In 6th outfit change, Taylor Switch wears black and gold sequined bodysuit with matching boots for Reputation Tour

They say seven is the number of completion. Perhaps that’s why Taylor straightened her shag for her 7th outfit change. The full bangs and straight, shoulder-length bob is the perfect look for girls looking to add some edge for the summer months ahead. This hairdo coupled with her sheer, fringe mini dress was very Tina Turner-esque (but not really).

Ending her show on a brighter note, Taylor switched into a rainbow colored, sparkly playsuit. Of course, she brought back her wavy hair for the right amount of fun.

For the final outfit change on her Reputation Tour, Taylor Swift wears a sparkly rainbow playsuit.

She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29 , where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.

Taylor swift reputation tour makeup recreation.

Happy #BEAUTYMONDAY! For those of you who are new around here – Taylor Swift is my favorite singer/celebrity/girl crush – you name it. I’ve been obsessed with her music for SO long (literally from her freshman album, “Taylor Swift”, when I was in junior high) and just really love who she is as a person. I have always been so impressed with her songwriting abilities and the fact that I feel like I grew up with her and have grown myself with her music. It’s just really neat to have such a deep connection with an artist’s lyrics and life situations. I was able to see her for the very first time in concert this past June at her Philly concert and it was just an amazing experience. It was a total fluke that I was even able to get tickets for that concert – and I’ve had tickets for her St. Louis concert since last December! I’m taking my mama because for YEARS she’s tried to get me tickets to see her and it just never worked out so I feel like we are on this journey together 😉 ANYWAYS – for the majority of my teenage years, I’ve been told I look like the queen herself (and it helped that my name is Taylor A. Smith) so earlier this year I did my first Taylor Swift recreation and it gained a TON of hype which was SO much fun. I decided that in honor of going to see her again this year, I’d recreate the makeup look she’s been rocking on the Reputation Tour. Let’s dive into this.

What to wear to the Taylor Swift UK and Ireland Eras tour

E xcitement is building ahead of Taylor Swift’s imminent arrival in the UK and Ireland as ‘Swifties’ consider what imaginative outfits they will be wearing to her energetic three-hour shows.

The Tortured Poets Department singer will kick start the next leg of The Eras Tour at Edinburgh’s esteemed Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on Friday, June 7, followed by Liverpool, Cardiff, London and Dublin.

This tour’s set list consists of more than 40 songs grouped into 11 distinct acts that portray all of pop star’s iconic studio albums conceptually.

The captivating sets encompass everything from her self-titled country album Taylor Swift, which was released in 2006 when she was just 16-years-old, up until her eleventh studio pop album The Tortured Poets Department, released in May this year.

To celebrate the evolution of the 34-year-old songwriter, since the tour commenced in Glendale, Arizona, in March, her loyal fan base have been dressing up as their favourite eras, with creative, sparkly and edgy attire.

Here, we unravel some of these trends to provide concertgoers with some inspiration for their own era outfits.

Red was released in 2012 and was arguably Swift’s breakthrough album as its lead single ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ earned the singer-songwriter her very first number-one hit on the Billboard Pop Singles Chart.

It marked a shift away from country music which was reflected in her vintage looks and pop tunes.

During this iconic era, Swift began experimenting more with her sound and style and was often snapped in vibrant red and stripy clothing.

Fans looking to mirror this classic aesthetic will be drawn to bright red garments, black fedora hats, and of course the global pop star’s signature red lipstick.

Many might also choose to don a graphic tee with bold red and black writing to replicate what the singer wore in her 22 music video.

The Red era is arguably the easiest era to emulate, as a dive into the depths of a former 2010s wardrobe is likely to uncover a plethora of bold tees and statement classic accessories.

But if your hunt is unsuccessful, a quick search for ‘red shorts’ or ‘black and white striped T-shirts’ on Vinted or ASOS is likely to be fruitful.

Reputation era

If snake print and sparkly bodysuits are your thing, Swift’s dramatic U-turn reputation era is for you.

Reputation’s release in 2017 coincided with the singer’s return to public life, after her notable absence from red carpets and interviews, which marked an reinvention of her music as well as her style.

During this era, Swift ditched her previous sweet and innocent aesthetic and reemerged with a bold and unapologetic exterior.

If you are looking to channel a confident Reputation persona, black clothing, chains, leather and striking jewellery will be your new best friend.

In addition, the album cover looks like a newspaper which some Swifties have been incorporating into their bold looks.

Dune London Snake-effect Brooch-Detail Clutch Bag, £56 (down from £80)

New Look Black Leather-Look Mini Skirt, £13 (down from £19.99)

New Look   Black Mesh Rhinestone Bodysuit, £19.99

Lover was the seventh studio album by the American singer-songwriter and was released in 2019 by Republic Records.

It was her first album after her departure from Big Machine Records and many of her songs reflect this newfound liberation.

The album cover is a stark contrast to her former edgy Reputation phase and encompasses bubblegum visuals and pastel colours.

Those looking to embrace this soft ‘lovecore’ aesthetic should reach for lavender, baby blue and pastel pink garments and accessories – think Barbie and butterflies.

This candyfloss vibe will definitely help prepare you to belt out Cruel Summer at the top of your lungs.

PrettyLittleThing  Light Pink Rib Butterfly Diamante Racer Top, £11 (down from £14)

River Island Beige Embellished Denim Shorts , £40

Oliver Bonas Pink and Faux Tortoiseshell Clubmaster Sunglasses , £24

Folklore era

This wistful 2020 album is full of escapism and many fans have been replicating this vibe by putting together some cottage-core inspired outfits.

Cottage-core is a fashion trend which idealises rural life, and many concertgoers have worn flower crowns, bohemian dresses and of course cardigans – the named of the album’s lead single – to align with this aesthetic.

If crafts are your thing you can get the glue gun out and make your very own flower crown.

Alternatively, you can buy one for a reasonable price at Claire’s or on online retailer Etsy.

To achieve this elevated hippy look pair a maxi dress with some chunky knitwear and brown boots.

Cotton Traders Embroidered Button Cardigan , £27 (down from £39)

Scamp & Dude Grey with White Stripe Maxi Sundress, £99

Midnights era

Midnights is the tenth studio album by the American songstress and she first revealed the project during her acceptance speech for Video of the Year at the 2022 VMAs.

During this period Swift’s enchanting outfits exuded dark/midnight blue and purple hues, sparkles, stars and sequins.

Fashion wise it was one of her most glamorous eras as she was often seen strutting red carpets in incredible sparkly heels and elegant outfits.

Many fans have taken inspiration from the songs Lavender Haze and Midnight Rain and have taken a literal stance to this trend by wearing lavender and midnight colours.

Fur coats and sparkly dresses paired with red lippy and cat eyeliner are some great ways to turn this era into a showstopping outfit.

Real-life ‘baby reindeer’ sues netflix for defamation in $170m lawsuit.

The woman who is allegedly the inspiration behind Martha in Netflix’s “Baby Reindeer” has sued the streaming giant for at least $170 million.

Fiona Harvey filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California Thursday, alleging defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and violations of her right of publicity.

In the complaint obtained by Page Six, she accuses Netflix of basing the relentless stalker character on her life and persona.

In the show, Martha (played by Jessica Gunning) obsesses over a struggling comedian (played by series creator and real-life alleged victim Richard Gadd).

Fiona Harvey

“The lies that Defendants told about Harvey to over 50 million people worldwide include that Harvey is a twice-convicted stalker who was sentenced to five years in prison, and that Harvey sexually assaulted [creator and star Richard] Gadd,” the complaint reads.

“Defendants told these lies, and never stopped, because it was a better story than the truth, and better stories made money.”

The suit also argues that the “This is a true story” disclaimer at the beginning of the series leads viewers to believe every detail is factual.

Harvey further claims that Netflix’s “gross negligence” allowed internet sleuths to use context clues to find her contact information after “Baby Reindeer” debuted in April.

She argues that Netflix and Gadd had “actual subjective awareness of the risk involved, but nevertheless proceeded in conscious indifference to the rights, safety, and/or welfare of [her].”

Therefore, she claims her alleged portrayal in “Baby Reindeer” has led her to become “tormented” and suffer from “severe and extreme emotional distress.”

“Harvey is physically weak,” the complaint alleges. “She has and continues to experience anxiety, nightmares, panic attacks, shame, depression, nervousness, stomach pains, loss of appetite and fear, extreme stress and sickness all directly caused by the lies told about her in ‘Baby Reindeer.'”

She is seeking a minimum of $170 million in actual, compensatory and punitive damages, plus profits earned from the series, since she claims “Netflix and Gadd destroyed her reputation, her character and her life.”

In response to the lawsuit, a rep for Netflix told Page Six, “We intend to defend this matter vigorously and to stand by Richard Gadd’s right to tell his story.”

Harvey, who works as a lawyer, denied stalking and sexually assaulted Gadd during her May 6 interview on Piers Morgan’s show, “Uncensored.”

However, another lawyer named Laura Wray claimed to Piers Morgan this week that she had been Harvey’s “major obsession” for years — predating her alleged involvement with Gadd.

She also assumed the Martha character was based on Harvey as soon as she started watching the limited series.

“From the very beginning, it was obvious it was the same woman. It was Fiona Harvey,” Wray alleged to Morgan.

“The actress does a very good job. Sounds like her, looks like her, mimicked her to a T … I have a file full of papers which are letters from her — emails, faxes and so forth, and it’s all identical.”

Laura Wray and Piers Morgan

Gadd previously told the Hollywood Reporter that he protected the real identities of anyone used as inspiration in his project.

“I mean, there’s certain protections, you can’t just copy somebody else’s life and name and put it onto television,” he said.

“And obviously, we were very aware that some characters in it are vulnerable people, so you don’t want to make their lives more difficult.”

Jessica Gunning and Richard Gadd

The Scottish writer originally created “Baby Reindeer” as a play for the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

He is not named as a defendant in the lawsuit, but he is referenced several times.

Reps for Gadd did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
