Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Will Friedle host  Pod Meets World , an iHeart Media podcast where they rewatch, and earnestly react, to the ‘90s sitcom they starred in,  Boy Meets World , now 30 years later. Accumulating over 13 million downloads in just 6 months, the show’s humor and emotional revelations have turned an innocent attempt for friends to watch their teenage selves on TV, into a worldwide phenomenon. In addition to watching the episodes in sequential order, they’ve also interviewed actors who appeared on the show, like Adam Scott, Ethan Suplee and Kathy Ireland, and reconnected with the writers and producers who not only created  Boy Meets World , but shaped their lives. ‘Boy Meets World’ Stars To Bring Live Show To Minnesota + Wisconsin

Three stars from the hit 90s show 'Boy Meets World' are hitting the road for a live show tour of their podcast and will be making stops in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Picture it, 1995 you sit down in your living room to see what Cory Matthews is up to and when his brother will do the famous "Feeny call". The show actually started in 1993 and took the world by storm.

The show was a Disney hit written for you young boys from the ages of 12-14. It followed Cory and his friends and family as Cory navigates this crazy thing we call life. The show ended with its 7th season in 2000. It definitely hit home for me as a young boy growing up around that time. My all-time favorite episode that I still go back and watch was the Halloween episode titled 'And Then There Was Shawn':

In 2014 a spin-off/sequel show 'Girl Meets World' premiered that followed the life of Cory and Topanga's daughter and how she navigates through life. The show ran for 3 seasons and ended in 2017 due to the show not being renewed.

Danielle Fischer, who played "Topanga" (Cory's girlfriend), Rider Strong, who played "Shawn" (Cory's best friend), and Will Friedle who played Eric (Cory's brother) started a podcast in 2022 called " Pod Meets World ".

The podcast has the three re-watch every episode of the iconic series and provides their commentary. They even bring on special guests from the show from time to time.

Like other popular podcasts, they are taking their show on the road for the 'Pod Meets World: The Kids Wanna Jump! Tour'. They will make several stops in the Midwest including one in Minnesota and one in Wisconsin.

The Minnesota stop will be at the historic Pantages Theatre in Minneapolis (710 Hennepin Avenue) on Thursday, July 20th at 7:30 pm. Ticket prices range from $54 - $155, which include a meet and greet package.

The Wisconsin stop will be at the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee (144 East Wells Street) on Friday, July 21st at 7:30 pm.

Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday (May 5th), and you can get them here.

Laughter & Nostalgia Abound at ‘Pod Meets World’ Live

Boy Meets World premiered on ABC 30 years ago this September. But the decades that have passed haven’t lessened the popularity of the show.

In June 2022, three of the main actors from the popular sitcom — Danielle Fishel (who played Topanga), Will Friedle (Eric) and Rider Strong (Shawn) — launched the rewatch podcast Pod Meets World , which features the three stars watching episodes, many for the very first time, as well as interviewing numerous people involved in the making of the show, including supporting cast, guest stars, writers, directors, casting agents and more.

At the end of July, they brought the show on the road with The Kids Wanna Jump! Tour . Stops that first weekend included Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Royal Oaks, Michigan.

At the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, Fishel, Friedle and Strong — who have remained close friends — welcomed fan-favorite Jason Marsden (who played Eric’s best friend, Jason Marsden) as a special guest to a show filled with nostalgic throwbacks and lots of laughs.

The group talked about their travel plans for the tour — Fishel and Friedle will fly, while Strong plans to drive in an RV with his family — answered questions during a Q&A and asked for help judging a costume contest that featured the likes of a red couch cushion, a John Adams High garbage can, Kenny (if you know, you know) and a Mr. Feeny lookalike, who appropriately won the contest with deafening cheers from the crowd.

The show, which had a properly ’90s feel with no cellphones or cameras allowed, also featured three secret segments that are guaranteed to make all Boy Meets World -loving hearts soar. Curious as to what they might be? Check out The Kids Wanna Jump! Tour, which continues this weekend and has several remaining dates throughout the rest of the year:

Aug. 4 — Nashville, Tennessee; James K. Polk Theater Aug. 5 — St Louis; The Pageant Aug. 6 — Kansas City, Missouri; The Midland (with special guest Anthony Tyler Quinn, aka Mr. Turner) Sept. 1-3 — GalaxyCon Austin ; Austin Convention Center Sept. 17 — Orlando, Florida; Hard Rock Live Orlando

That same weekend in Florida, from Sept. 15-17 at the Tampa Convention Center, the Boy Meets World cast will make an appearance at 90s Con , “the raddest celebration this side of the millennium.” Attendees include Fishel, Friedle, Strong, Trina McGee (Angela), Matthew Lawrence (Jack), William Daniels (Mr. Feeny), Bonnie Bartlett (Dean Lila Bolander, also Daniels’ real-life wife of over 70 years), Betsy Randle (Amy Matthews), William Russ (Alan Matthews) and Lee Norris (Minkus).

On Wednesday, the three podcast hosts announced that they would be making a memorable tour stop with special guests in Philadelphia , the City of Brotherly Love, and also the setting of Boy Meets World . The show will be Sept. 30 at The Met.

To close out the year, the tour will make stops at the New York Comedy Festival on Nov. 9, and at GalaxyCon Columbus from Dec. 1-3.

Listen, I’m a huge nerd and massive fan of nostalgia, so this podcast is IT for me! I have followed along every single week since they began this marvelous journey a couple years ago! It’s something i have to look forward to week after week, and although we’re strangers, i feel such a connection to will, Danielle and rider, and i sincerely appreciate their (and jenson’s) time and effort for giving all of us fans such a special gift. i listen to this all the time. changed my life

as a 16 year old who watched boy meets world as a freshman, this podcast gave me a vast interest in the film industry. i really appreciate all their commentary on not only the good things that the show does but also their criticisms on it. Boy meets world portrayed relevant issues with a laugh out loud script but this podcast showed me that there are things it could have done better and i love that i can see that now. also rider strong’s wife was in The Fosters!! Alex is such a good actress and rider strong just seems like the most cutesy, mindful, and demure guy ever. Plus they have the cutest son ever so how could u not love him and his whole family? the bad reviews i see of this podcast are people who strictly care about behind the scenes of episodes and people extremely annoyed by the ads. but i love hearing them simply debrief episodes while discussing performances and scripts. the ads are also just goofy. its not a deal breaker you can just skip them. i memorized some of them though cuz they’re so silly. the hosts are always so giddy and they just make u want to be in the room with them. i know there’s lots of controversy with what they’ve done in the past but i believe they are beautiful people at the heart and others need to be more understanding about situations that people are put through.

First, there was “Boy Meets World.”

Then, the spin-off series “Girl Meets World” ran from 2014-17.

Now, the latest iteration of the popular TGIF series is in podcast form .

‘Pod Meets World,’ hosted by Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong — who you might know as Topanga, Eric and Shawn, respectively — finds the trio recapping episodes of the young adult sitcom.

And, if you want to see the stars “relive (their) first crush, first kiss, favorite moments and all the life lessons” with fellow cast members from the classic ’90s show live, you can.

From July 20 through Nov. 9, the three ’90s icons will tour all over North America .

That includes a live podcast at NYC’s Town Hall on Thursday, Nov. 9 as part of the 2023 New York Comedy Festival.
