This is the second straight year for the Dutch Open to be held at Bernardus Golf. It is the 13th course to host the Dutch Open. Here’s a recent AP golf story:

The PGA Tour reported progress without details from a face-to-face meeting between its negotiating committee and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia as it tries to work toward a deal.

“We want to get this right, and we are approaching discussions with careful consideration for our players, our fans, our partners and the game’s future,” the tour said in a statement released Saturday morning.

The meeting in New York on Friday evening involved the “transaction committee” of PGA Tour Enterprises and Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the governor of the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund that pays for rival LIV Golf.

Rory McIlroy is on the committee and said he was encouraged by the progress. He referred to the three-hour meeting as “very productive, very constructive, very collaborative.”

“Definitely things are heading in the right direction,” McIlroy said after the third round of the Memorial. He participated on a video call. “A lot of progress was made. I can’t really say much more than that, but it was really positive.”

PGA Tour Enterprises is the commercial group that came out of the framework agreement announced a year ago among the PGA Tour, PIF and the European tour.

PGA Tour Enterprises brought on Strategic Sports Group, which invested an initial $1.5 billion earlier this year. Negotiations are ongoing to bring in PIF as a minority investor, and there has been more activity than previously believed.

McIlroy, who joined Tiger Woods and Adam Scott on the transaction committee, said it has been meeting with PIF representatives every Monday, Wednesday and Friday over the last couple of weeks. The tour referred to negotiations as “accelerated” in recent months.

Friday’s meeting was the first in-person discussion since players and board members met with Al-Rumayyan in the Bahamas the day after The Players Championship in March.

The tour said the committee and PIF have been meeting “multiple times weekly to work through potential deal terms and come to a shared vision on the future of professional golf.” It said only that “more progress was made” in New York.

“We remain committed to these negotiations, which require working through complex considerations to best position golf for global growth,” the tour said.

McIlroy said those multiple meetings are more about financials, such as the investment possibilities of PIF and SSG.

“But I think last night was more talking about the future of the game and the vision, and that was where I thought there was a lot of progress that was made,” he said.

Woods and Scott are on the full PGA Tour Enterprises board, along with player directors Jordan Spieth, Webb Simpson, Patrick Cantlay and Peter Malnati.

McIlroy resigned from the PGA Tour board last November, and there was an unsuccessful attempt by Simpson to have McIlroy replace him. McIlroy, the strongest voice who has gone from heavy criticism of LIV to being more willing to compromise, is part of the transaction committee and ultimately does not have a vote.

But he has relationships with both sides of the table. McIlroy had said he would be more in listen mode when the business leaders — Al-Rumayyan and his team at PIF, a PGA Tour Enterprises committee that includes four SSG investors — sorted through details.

“We’re there to maybe give a perspective from player’s point of view,” McIlroy had said Thursday. “But, I mean, this is a negotiation about an investment into PGA Tour Enterprises. This is ‘big boy’ stuff, and I’ll certainly be doing more listening than I will be talking.”

He said Saturday he did weigh in on occasion.

“The mute button was turned off a couple of times to chime in,” he said.

The 2023 PGA Championship gets underway this week at Oak Hill in Rochester, N.Y. If you’re hoping to watch the action on TV, we’ve got you covered. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the PGA on TV.

Where to watch the PGA on TV

This year’s PGA Championship will be aired by the same TV hosts as last year: ESPN and CBS . ESPN will control the coverage for Thursday’s opening round on May 18 and Friday’s second round on May 19, with six hours of coverage each day, as well as early coverage of the third and final rounds.

2023 PGA Championship expert picks to win, sleepers to watch at Oak Hill

ESPN will also produce a new alternate telecast featuring hosts Matt Barrie and Michael Collins on Thursday and Friday on ESPN and ESPN2.

CBS will broadcast the 2023 PGA Championship on the weekend starting with six-hour telecasts of the third round on Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21.

There will also be exhaustive streaming coverage online via ESPN+ , including exclusive early round coverage and featured group coverage every day.

2022 Phoenix Open: Live stream, how to watch online, TV schedule, radio coverage, golf tee times

The course, the event and the field are all compelling this week at tpc scottsdale.

This week's WM Phoenix Open, which got underway Thursday, has been a blast through 54 holes with the final 18 wrapping up Sunday night on CBS. TPC Scottsdale always brings it with the atmosphere, and this year's field was stunning with six of the top 10 in the world and 15 of the top 20.

Brooks Koepka is defending his crown, while Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas were going for their first win of the year. Yet through three rounds of action, the defending champion Koepka is firmly in the hunt to go back-to-back as he sits tied for second a shot of the lead. The others? Not so much.

At the top of the leaderboard through 54 holes, however, was Sahith Theegala, who entered the tournament on a sponsor exemption. He was up by just one stroke entering the final day of action.

Junior Golf Tour

The Isaly’s Junior Golf Tour schedule includes 20 events, followed by the Player of the Year Championship. The field for each of the 20 pre-qualifying tournaments will be limited to the first 100 applicants. The Tri-State PGA Point System will be used to determine finishers in each event, and points will be cumulative. The top 10 finishers in each age category will qualify for the Player of the Year Championship and are included in the top 10 finishers. The Isaly’s Junior Player of the Year will be determined in each age division by the total number of points accumulated by participants during the 20 pre-qualifying rounds and the final championship. The Isaly’s Player of the Year Championship event will award double points (POY Championship details below).

Once a player is accepted into any of the tournaments, NO REFUNDS will be issued! 4. Cell phones will be allowed on the golf course for MOBILE SCORING, RULES QUESTIONS, and EMERGENCIES. 5. Spectator carts will be allowed IF PERMITTED BY THE HOST FACILITY (Fees may apply)! 6. JUNIORS MUST WALK AND CARRY THEIR OWN BAGS OR MAY USE A PULL CART IF PERMITTED BY THE HOST FACILITY! 7. Computation of scores/finishes is the responsibility of each contestant. The TSPGA does not provide this information on an individual basis. 8. Tee times will be available on the website at least one week prior to each event or you may call the section office or the tournament site for your tee time. 9. The Junior Tour is open to boys and girls ages 11 - 18. Your division will be determined by your age on the date of the player's championship (August 1, 2024). All tournaments will be governed under United States Golf Association rules. 10. Distance measuring devices are permitted in any junior level event conducted by the Tri-State Section PGA. (SLOPE MODE is not permitted)

2024 Isaly’s Player of the Year Championship

**Double Points will be awarded at the Player of the Year Championship (i.e. 1st Place = 100 Points)

Juniors will be invited to compete in the Player of the Year Championship if they possess one of the following:

• Take 1st place in any tournament
• Rank within the Top 10 in cumulative point total in their respective age division at the conclusion of the season.

CANCELLATION / SUSPENSION OF PLAY POLICY

Due to inclement weather or unsafe playing conditions, the TSPGA Jr. Tournament Director has the authority to declare suspended or incomplete rounds (with 9 Hole minimum completed) as an official and complete tournament. No refunds will be made!

Tentative pga tour fall schedule for 2023 shows seven events.

As the PGA Tour transitions to a calendar-year schedule and the circuit sorts out a dramatically reimagined lineup that includes “designated” events and a focus on the game’s stars, the fate of the fall events remains uncertain.

A tentative fall schedule for 2023 obtained by GolfChannel.com suggests a streamlined lineup with seven events, down from nine events last fall. Gone from the tentative schedule are the CJ Cup, which has been played in the U.S. the last three years, and the Houston Open, a Tour staple since 1946. It remains to be seen if those events will shift to the FedExCup portion of the schedule or if they will be removed from the Tour lineup entirely.

The Fortinet Championship would kick off the fall (Sept. 14-17), two weeks after the Tour Championship, followed by another two-week break that includes the Ryder Cup in Rome.

The Sanderson Farms Championship would be played Oct. 5-8, followed by the Shriners Children’s Open (Oct. 12-15) and the Zozo Championship (Oct. 19-22) in Japan.

The World Wide Technology Championship is scheduled for Nov. 2-5, although it’s unclear where the event would be played with El Camaleon Golf Club hosting the year’s first LIV Golf event in February. It’s unlikely the Tour would want to share a venue with the rival league and, according to multiple sources, the circuit is seeking a new venue in Mexico. The fall portion would conclude with the Bermuda Championship (Nov. 9-12) and The RSM Classic (Nov. 16-19).

The tentative schedule also includes an interesting makeover during the “challenge” season with the former QBE Shootout becoming a mixed-team event that features Tour players alongside LPGA players.
