2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational final results: Prize money payout, leaderboard and how much each golfer won

The 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational final leaderboard is headed by winner Scottie Scheffler , who earned his second PGA Tour win at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Fla.

In a final round featuring extremely difficult scoring conditions on an already firm setup, Scheffler managed to shoot even-par 72, which was good enough for a one-shot win over Viktor Hovland , Billy Horschel and Tyrrell Hatton . Scheffler won on 5-under 273.

Gary Woodland and Chris Kirk finished tied for fifth place on 3-under total.

Scheffler won the $2,160,000 winner's share of the $12,000,000 purse.

Arnold Palmer Invitational recap notes

Scheffler earned 64 Official World Golf Ranking points with the win in the 72-hole stroke-play championship, which will boost his world ranking.

Scheffler also earned 550 FedEx Cup points with the win, which comes with earning Scheffler a two-year exemption onto the PGA Tour.

A total of 77 (of 120) players finished the tournament in the 18th event of the 2021-2022 PGA Tour season after a 36-hole cut was made.

2024 U.S. Open picks, odds, field: Surprising predictions from proven PGA golf model that's hit 12 majors

T he third major championship of the calendar year is on the horizon, with the 2024 U.S. Open beginning on Thursday, June 13 at Pinehurst Course No. 2 in North Carolina. This will be the fourth time Course No. 2 at Pinehurst has hosted the U.S. Open. Scottie Scheffler headlines the 2024 U.S. Open field, as the world No. 1 will try to win his second major championship of 2024 and the first U.S. Open title of his career. Scheffler is the betting favorite at 4-1 in the 2024 U.S. Open odds. Other top 2024 U.S. Open contenders include Rory McIlroy (9-1), Xander Schauffele (10-1), Brooks Koepka (12-1), and Jon Rahm (12-1). Defending champion Wyndham Clark is a 22-1 longshot.

Top 2024 U.S. Open predictions 

One major surprise the model is calling for at the 2024 U.S. Open: Brooks Koepka (12-1), a two-time U.S. Open champion and one of the top favorites, stumbles and barely cracks the top 10. Koepka has five major championships overall but he hasn't been much of a factor in major tournaments since that last victory at the 2023 PGA Championship. In his four majors since then, his best finish is tying for 17th at last year's U.S. Open. Koepka has finished outside the top 25 in each of his last three major starts, which is one shy of tying a career-long drought.

He's finished outside the top 15 in four straight appearances at majors and has struggled overall this season. Over his last eight tournament starts, he has twice as many finishes outside the top 25 (four) as he has inside the top 10 (two). Add in that he shot over par in his lone previous start at Pinehurst No. 2, and there are much better values to utilize U.S. Open 2024 bets on.  See who else to fade here .

Another surprise: Bryson DeChambeau, a 20-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win than his long odds imply, so he's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. DeChambeau has proven to be at the top of his game at the Masters and PGA Championship this year. The 30-year-old finished in sixth place at Augusta National, which was by far the best performance of his career at the Masters, and he finished in second place at the PGA Championship, one stroke behind Xander Schauffele.

DeChambeau won the 2020 U.S. Open and has gained notoriety for his training methods and jaw-dropping length off the tee. His playing style and length may give him a leg up on the field in what is traditionally one of the longest and most difficult events of the year.  See who else to back here .

2024 Memorial Tournament odds, field: Surprising PGA picks, predictions by model that's nailed 12 majors

Sportsline's proven model simulated the memorial tournament 2024 10,000 times and revealed its surprising golf picks.

There have been eight first-time winners on the PGA Tour this season, but one shouldn't necessarily expect there to be a ninth at the 2024 Memorial Tournament. That's because none of those previous eight have come at the six signature events that have already taken place. Familiar names like Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama have been signature tournament winners this year, as those boast the strongest of fields. Nine of the top 10 ranked players in the world will tee off at the Memorial Tournament 2024 when play begins on Thursday at Muirfield Village Golf Club.

Scheffler has four wins this season and is the +360 favorite according to the 2024 Memorial Tournament odds. With two wins over his last four starts, McIlroy is at +800, with PGA champion Xander Schauffele rounding out the top three choices at +900. Tommy Fleetwood has the shortest odds (+3500) amongst anyone who has yet to win on the PGA Tour, but the Englishman does have 10 victories worldwide. Top 2024 Memorial Tournament predictions 

One major surprise the model is calling for at the Memorial Tournament 2024: Collin Morikawa, who was two strokes off the lead heading into the final round before withdrawing last year, stumbles this week and barely cracks the top five. Morikawa has gone winless in his first 13 tournaments in 2024 after picking up just one win in 25 events last year. He continues to make the cut and contend in most of his appearances, but he has been unable to get across the finish line. 

In fact, he has not finished better than T-3 (Masters) this season, and he missed the cut in the Memorial Tournament two years ago. He ranks outside the top 115 on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: putting and driving distance, while also ranking 105th in greens in regulation percentage. The model does not like his chance of breaking his winless drought this week, even though he is among the 2024 Memorial Tournament favorites at +1400.  See who else to fade here .

Another surprise: Justin Thomas, a +2500 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday.

In order to score well at Muirfield Village, players will need to be extremely accurate with their irons. Thomas enters this week's event ranked seventh in strokes gained: approach to green (0.697). He's also been effective off the tee, ranking 22nd in driving distance (308.1) and 38th in total driving (132).
