Fans will then get to go pitchside and snap a selfie in the manager’s seat, and be shown how the players prepare for matches in the first team warm-up area.

You’ll also get access to the home team's dressing room, with an immersive audio-visual show giving fans a glimpse into what happens in this space on matchdays.

Using the latest augmented reality technology, guests can interact with a virtual Pep Guardiola and a few first team faces, including Manuel Akanji, Nathan Ake and Erling Haaland in the press room – the site of post-match interviews.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the City story with this behind-the-scenes tour, learning about moments from the club’s history, from conception in 1894 all the way to the most recent successes and the journey to becoming the first side to win four consecutive Premier League championships.

Tours are available daily except on Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Easter Sunday. They also take place on match days - allowing guests to experience the unique buzz before kick-off.

Adult tickets start from £26 off-peak and £30 for peak times. Off-peak entry for students and over-65s is £18, with peak-price tickets costing £23.

For children aged 5-15, the off-peak price is £16; peak-price entry is £18.

Visitors can also combine a tour of the stadium with a trip around Manchester City’s cutting-edge football academy and the Joie Stadium, gaining unprecedented access to the world-class facilities where the Manchester City Women’s and youth teams play and train.

You can book tickets for the Manchester City Stadium Tour directly online at the club’s website . Simply choose the day you wish to visit and then select the time you’d like your tour to begin.

Tours start from 9.30am every day, with the last tours beginning at 4.45pm.

Does the Stadium Tour run on match days?

Manchester City offers two match day tour experiences, with guided Stadium Tours available up to four hours before kick-off.

Or, visitors with a valid match ticket can also book a 60-minute pitchside walk-in the build-up to kick-off.

These tours take place within four hours of kick-off and run until one hour before. Visitors will get a complimentary match day programme and be able to stop for a picture with the official match ball.

Adult tickets for a pitchside, match day tour cost £20. Tickets for over-65s and students cost £15; for under-16s, £13.50.

How can I get to the Etihad Stadium?

If you’re travelling by car, head to the stadium’s Yellow Car Park. The entrance is located at Gate 11 on Ashton New Road, M11 3FF. There is a limited amount of free parking, apart from match days, when charges will apply.

You can also travel to the stadium from Manchester’s city centre using the Metrolink tram service. The stadium’s nearest stop is Etihad Campus.

Local buses stop on the Ashton New Road and Alan Turing Way, both a two-minute walk from the stadium.
