I have never heard anything like Grouplove in my life. Their music represents a spirituality in the souls who created these melodies with words that fit like puzzles. My experiences fall in love with the experiences and pleasures I've had seeing this band live.. I mean, who else has butterflies when you think back on such a thrilling and invigorating memory of Christian singing at the top of his lungs and from his heart about Hannah, a rapturous woman that chants the same loving words right by his side? The enthusiasm from the physical playing of their music is more than just a joy to watch, because it's living through each and every one of their passions and pure-hearted feelings brought through their instruments. And not even all of their songs are love songs.. they have pieces that bring you back to a state of mind where you can fully enjoy life and not get caught up in the world, pieces that make you smile and think "What do these words even mean?" but you accept it anyway, and some that make you want to do nothing but climb up on stage and dance with them! Their music is running through a daisy field while you're soaking wet from the beach with your partners in crime.. it's experiencing something new for the first time every time you hear the distinction of Christian's voice belting out "I am a man, man man man, up up in the air.." the second time in their beautiful set Colours.. it's a game you play with yourself to see how long you can go without getting one of their songs stuck in your head until you can't help but burst into song singing, ".. Raspberry, on a ferry, I was feelin' kinda SEAsick on that boat! WHOOOA!.."

They put on a fantastic show! They open with "I'm With You" and I hate to say it, but that's the best part. They come out with rapid, crazy lights and TONS of energy so the crowd is at its peak, and it carries through the entire song--truly memorable. That same excitement doesn't hold up, though, so don't expect a high octane show. Again, I had an amazing time and I really, really enjoyed them. I wouldn't hesitate to see them again--I might when they come to Richmond in a few months--but I'm just saying that it's odd how it climaxes early and then mellows out from then on. Interesting stuff. I definitely would HIGHLY recommend them, though, they're bunches of fun and are excellent performers.

After watching Grouplove's live, I started to feel grateful about life again. I have been in a gloomy mood this week, but when I saw Grouplove, I suddenly felt connected to their energy and hippie spirits, which are so contagious. I absolutely love them. I am not so sure when the new album Big Mess came out because I love Never Trust A Happy Song more, while after seeing their live, I can say that going to their live is among my rightest choices. Christian's voice is amazing, besides Hannah another guitarist sang too and sounded great as well. I love their style, their stage presence and their spontaneous spirits in their heart.

BEST concert i've ever gone to in my whole life, and i've gone to my fair share of concerts. They played their show like it was their last & interacted with the crowd so much to get everyone hyped up. My friend and I waited outside in line for 8 hours in the freezing cold and everytime the band came out they made the effort to stop and appreciate us for waiting so long just to see them. They're super humble and such nice people and they really made the experience that much more memorable. 10/10 would recommend, you'd never regret seeing them in concert.

Grouplove was amazing!!! The concert was very fun, lit, and full of amazing vibes. Grouplove sure knows how to throw a show, this was their best show yet. Since the first time i listened to Close Your Eyes And Cont To Ten, i fell in love with them. And when you hear them live you get this amazing feeling inside of you and it comes out and you become free. I had so much fun being in the front row singing my heart out, making eye contact with all the band members, and enjoying their music live. Nothing beats live music, especially Grouplove's.

When Grouplove came out onto the stage, it was absolutely insane. They played A$AP Rocky's song 'Wild for the Night' and the smoke and lights and everything was great. They instantly started playing, and I was dancing the entire time. They played their songs from the 'Spreading Rumors' album. My favorites were 'Shark Attack', 'Ways to Go', and then they ended it with their hit 'Colours'. The energy of Hannah Hooper and Christian Zucconi was great. The lights and special effects made for a great show that I would recommend to anyone.

Everything about this concert was perfect! Before it started we were able to meet the band members which made me and my friends incredibly happy!

The fore act was quite good as well just a bit delayed but it didn't really matter.

Grouploves performance was really awesome! They looked happy and danced really wildly!!

Their songs were awesome even though I didn't know all of them :)

To conclusion I'd like to say that if you have the opportunity to go to one of their concerts you definitely should!!

Most fun I've ever had

AMAZING SHOW!

full of excitement, not one dull moment. The bass was loud, the set list was perfect, lighting really set the mood for a crazy performance. There was moshing and crowd surfing which was really cool to experience in that environment. People all around you, you create a bond with all of them knowing you're all there for the same reason. Grouplove did an amazing performance. I will definitely remember that night and the emotions rushing through me. Really the best one yet that I've been to.

it was the epitome of musical performance. amazing use of the lighting, pumped up lively energy constantly making the crowd go wild; an epic show by an unbelievably talented band. best concert I've ever seen,a and that's saying something. these guys (and gal) are passionate in what they do and it's infectious. anyone would say the same. if you're thinking about seeing them, you'd miss out if you didn't. 10/10, grouplove for life.

If you get tickets to see Grouplove, consider yourself lucky. These guys are amazing! The atmosphere was electric, the band had incredible energy, and the overall experience was just insane. That's the loudest crowd I've ever heard at a concert, and I've been to quite a few. Totally worth the money, I'd definitely see them again. Floor tickets are definitely recommended. ps: Hannah Hooper's jumpsuits are perfection

Grouplove Announces ‘Rock And Roll You Won’t Save Me’ 2024 Tour

Indie pop rockers Grouplove have announced a run of headlining shows in 2024 dubbed the Rock and Roll You Won’t Save Me   Tour .

“It’s tour time!” the band wrote in an announcement posted to social media. “We are hitting the road in Feb/March on our first headlining tour in 110 years and we are taking Bully with us!!! Are you in need of a cathartic release in a space full of love and amazing people? Then this tour is for you and for us! Thank you for your patience – it’s worth the wait.”

The tour includes stops at theaters and clubs around the West Coast, Southwest, Rocky Mountains, Midwest, and East Coast and will feature music from the band’s extensive discography, including hits like “Tongue Tied” and songs from the group’s latest album, I Want It All Right Now . Released earlier this year to widespread acclaim, the album draws inspiration from the transformative experience Hannah Hooper and Christian Zucconi , the married couple at the helm of Grouplove, have had raising a daughter with sensory needs.

“From the get-go, our band has been about bringing joy and a sense of safety and inclusion to people’s lives,” said Hooper, “and now we feel even more of a need to help everyone feel this very powerful love that we believe exists and that links all of us together.”

Tickets to see Grouplove on the Rock and Roll You Won’t Save Me Tour will be available via a presale starting Wednesday, October 11th at 10 a.m. local time. They will go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 13th, with VIP packages available for all shows. Click below for a list of tour dates.

Grouplove Tour Dates 2024

SoCal-based ensemble Grouplove will be hitting the road in early 2024 promoting their new album 'I Want It All Right Now' . Their Rock And Roll You Won’t Save Me Tour kicks off February 28th in Seattle and stretches through March visiting major markets like San Diego, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Washington DC, New York and their hometown of Los Angeles. Joining the tour in support will be special guest Bully . Prior to the tour, the band will be joining Pink during her Trustfall Tour along with KidCutUp .

Grouplove released their sixth studio album 'I Want It All Right Now' on July 7th, 2023 via Glassnote Records. The new album follows up 2021's 'This Is This' and 2020's 'Healer' which tied a career-best #5 on Billboard's Alternative chart. Back in 2016, the band launched their Big Mess World Tour which stretched into 2017 and visited Australia, Europe and North America. The following year, they joined portions of Imagine Dragons during their Evolve Tour along with K.Flay . Current members include Hannah Hooper, Chris Zucconi, Andrew Wessen, Daniel Gleason and Benjamin Homola.

You know that feeling you get when you hear a song that you connect with right away, and you feel like it’s either a big hit already or going to be one? Then, you discover the group, and realize they got plenty more of those. It happened to me with Grouplove, and specifically their song, ‘Tongue Tied.’

It’s a great feeling. We wish it was every day we could have a feeling of knowing awesome new music perfectly suited to our tastes. It seems, though, the feeling only comes around so often, but maybe that’s how it’s meant to be with great music. We can’t be bombarded with tremendous new acoustics day after day after day, or we would end up taking the music for granted, and not giving it the attention it deserves.

Grouplove is special, and all their fans know it. Their blend of harmonies with an edgy male lead vocal, a well-tuned female backup vocal, keyboards, drums and guitars are melodic, explosive and uniquely symbiotic. The band formed at an artist’s enclave on the island of Crete in 2011. It’s a five-member band that has changed out a couple of its members over the life of the band, so far.

The two voices of the band are life-partners, Hannah Hooper (keyboards) and Christian Zucconi (guitars). They have been firmly entrenched with the band throughout, so the sound has stayed consistent through five studio albums.

# 10 – Let Me In

Their song, ‘Let Me In’, made it in to the soundtrack of the movie The Fault In Our Stars. Hooper sings soulfully for a good minute, as the pace of the song creeps up. Then, Zucconi adds his falsetto solo, and the two begin to sing off each other. The lyrics are set to match the mood of the movie which pairs two teenagers who met in a cancer support group. This was a highly rated movie, and the song matches both the seriousness and funny aspects of the movie.

# 9 – Colours

The first single from their first album, Never Trust A Happy Song, is ‘Colours.’ Right away, we can tell Grouplove is not going to be held back. They know their screams are in tune, which is kind of a rarity. They know they have something not a lot of other bands have, as the male and female vocals balance each other out. They make a mark with this song, as they sing “We call it…life.”

# 8 – Welcome To Your Life

Hooper sings the lyric “We’re Back in Business.” This song is the first single from their third album, Big Mess. As the dynamic continues between the soulful voices of Hooper and Zucconi, we are reminded of how great the music is with the solid drumming, guitar harmonies and keyboard support. Then, as it all slows down, Grouplove gets the groove going busy again. This is one of their signature moves.

# 7 – Shark Attack

With this song, the band blends lyrics and harmonies similar to They Might Be Giants . But, it is the forcefulness of their chorus that differentiates them and makes them so distinctive. It’s Hooper’s turn to be slow and soulful on this tune. She sings beautifully, and the band backs her as the song jams consistently.

# 6 – I’m With You

This song just kind of sneaks up on you. This is a hard rocking band. And, they are willing to let the music speak for itself, which is what they do best on this song. The band comes together for moments vocally to be heard “Ah ah ah, oh oh oh, with you.” It’s a genius lyric for its prescience, as it brings catchiness to the song.

# 5 – Deadline

From their newest album, This Is This, made in 2021, Deadline is a song that sees the band branching out in its depths as a band. The song with a consistent drumbeat is the same Grouplove, but with efforts to be a tiny bit on the hip-hop side of things. It’s the band with the same high jinks for music making.

# 4 – Borderlines and Aliens

It’s the guitar intro, Dude. This song shows us the sublime talents of the band, including the incredible voices of Zucconi and Hooper. The bass guitar gets its time to show off, as well. The balance that the band pulls off of staying together on the vocals as the crash of guitars and drums comes about is true dedication on their part.

# 3 – Ways To Go

This is the group’s second biggest all-time hit from their second album, Spreading Rumours. It’s interesting how the two singers are able to sing off each other, when one goes deep, the other goes falsetto. It doesn’t matter who, because they are both capable of changing their voices from the highest octaves to the deeper end. And, the music sounds great.

# 2 – Itchin On A Photograph

If you have a chance to view Grouplove live, go for it. This band rocks even better live in my opinion. This song is an example of the band drifting to their highest limits. I keep mentioning the voices of Zucconi and Hooper, and it’s because they aren’t afraid of taking chances. As great as the music is, it’s the voices that can’t be ignored. The guitar hook here is fantastic.

# 1 – Tongue Tied

The number one song leads us to their biggest smash hit, “Tongue Tied.” With a collective yell, the song begins. And, the lyric “Take me to your best friend’s house…” is stuck in your head forever. Then, in the middle of the song, Hooper’s hip hop leanings become obvious as she croons her solo. The band comes alive again and again to deliver the goods of a great song.
