Father could lose patience with Lance Stroll – report

Jun.7 (GMM) Lance Stroll has found himself under scrutiny ahead of his home Canadian GP, as observers wonder if 2024 could be his final season on the Formula 1 grid. While teammate Fernando Alonso has been re-signed for 2025 and 2026, there has been no word about 24-year-old Stroll’s deal – even though team boss…

Jun.8 (GMM) Charles Leclerc may be emerging as a new favourite for the 2024 world championship. Clarity about Lance Stroll’s F1 future due ‘soon’

Jun.8 (GMM) A question-mark is continuing to hang over the future in Formula 1 of Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll. Jun.8 (GMM) Canadian GP promoter Francois Dumontier says Montreal will not be hosting a Formula 1 ‘sprint’ race weekend anytime soon. Bottas ‘can’t wait forever’ for Audi’s driver decision

Jun.8 (GMM) Valtteri Bottas has given the strongest suggestion yet that he will definitely be leaving Audi-owned Sauber at the end of the season. 2024 F1 Monaco Grand Prix

24 - 26 May 2024 - Circuit de Monaco, Monte Carlo, Monaco

For many F1 fans Monaco is a magical place, providing some of the best grand prix racing around in a rather glamorous location. It is hard to comprehend that a Grand Prix race can take place through the narrow streets of a city but that is exactly what happens when F1 lands here. Stare in awe as drivers reach unbelievable speeds negotiating tight corners and passing famous landmarks such as Monte Carlo Casino and the Harbour.

2024 F1 Pirelli British Grand Prix

4-7 July 2024 - Silverstone, Northamptonshire, UK

Nothing beats the glitz, glamour and adrenalin-fuelled drama of the  British Grand Prix . The atmosphere alone is incredible but it's even better when there are home-grown Brits on the Grid. The layout of the circuit has been altered several times in the last 12 years to improve driver's safety and overtaking opportunities. Once the race has finished, officials open up the barriers and allow spectators to walk around the track and get closer to the pit lane. Understandably, this is always a sell-out event in the F1 calendar.

Previous Winners:   2023- Max Verstappen 2022 - Carlos Sainz Jr  2021 - Lewis Hamilton

2024 F1 Rolex Belgian Grand Prix

26 - 28 July 2024 - Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium F1 racing first began here in 1924 and the circuit is deemed to be one of the most challenging in the world. Spectators to the Belgian Grand Prix will be in for a thrilling few days of racing as they watch drivers reach speeds of up to 300km/h whilst negotiating the fast, hilly and twisty nature of the circuit. Spa-Francorchamps is also well-known for the unpredictable weather, one part of the circuit could be dry whilst another part could be slippery with rain! As the majority of F1 fans know, there is never a dull day of racing here.

Previous Winners: 2023 - Max Verstappen 2022 - Max Verstappen 2021 -Max Verstappen

2024 F1 Heineken Italian Grand Prix 30 August - 1 September 2024 - Autodromo Nazionale Motodromo, Monza, Italy Being home to Ferrari, there is always a special atmosphere at the Italian Grand Prix especially if you are located along 'La Pista Magica' their passionate supporters, the Tifosi, gather to cheer for their team. Spectators not only fall in love with the atmosphere but they also love the circuit too. It's long, containing a high number of straights with very few turns allowing drivers to reach eye-watering speeds of 280km/h.

Previous Winners: 2023 - Max Vertappen 2022- Max Verstappen 2020- Pierre Gasly

F1 Circuit Guide

Grand prix grandstand & circuit guides.

Formula One can, at times, be confusing. Unlike most sporting events, the enjoyment of your weekend of live sport is not simply determined by how close you are to the touchline, service-line, or goal. Each Grand Prix Circuit has a variety of different locations, each with their own unique characteristics and, crucially, their own grandstand. The team at Grand Prix Grand Tours are always on hand to offer advice as to the best locations, and what to expect. But if you’d like to do a bit more research ‘off-line’ then you can click on any of the links below for a full breakdown of what to expect at each location. Each circuit guide includes information on the grandstand at each corner at each circuit, but also key information on the circuit and the host nation/city.

WATCH: Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone clocks World lead to win 400m flat at USATF NYC Grand Prix 2024

S ydney McLaughlin-Levrone again proved her legacy ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics by clinching a stunning victory at the 2024 USATF NYC Grand Prix, which serves as a substantial stop of the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold. She secured the top place in the women's 400m flat race at the Icahn Stadium in New York City on Sunday, June 8, 2024.

McLaughlin-Levrone has secured a gold medal in the 400m event at the 2019 Diamond League. She competed in her Olympic season's first 400m in New York City. McLaughlin-Levrone, who holds the world record in the 400m hurdles clocked a world lead in the 400m flat at the 2024 USATF NYC Grand Prix. Notably, she set the world record at the 2022 World Athletics Championships held on home soil in Eugene, clocking 50.68 seconds.

The 24-year-old clocked an impressive time of 48.75 seconds to earn the victory with a remarkable lead over Talitha Diggs and Stacey Ann Williams, who clocked 50.91 and 50.94 seconds, respectively. McLaughlin-Levrone effortlessly cruised to the finish line after leaving the other elite athletes, including Quanera Hayes, Kendall Ellis, and Junelle Bromfield, far behind.

Let's take a look at the Tokyo Olympic gold medalist leading the 400m lineup at the 2024 USATF NYC Grand Prix here.

"There's so much time to do that" - Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone after falling short of registering an American record with a narrow gap

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone recorded the third-fastest American time in the 400m with her victory at the 2024 USATF NYC Grand Prix. The American record in the women's 400m was set by Sanya Richards-Ross.

Richards-Ross clocked a striking 48.70 seconds at the Olympic Stadium in Athina, Greece, on September 16, 2006. The second-fastest American time is also held by McLaughlin-Levrone with 48.74 seconds, set at the 2022 USATF Championships in Eugene.

During an interview with Citius Mag after her recent exploit, McLaughlin-Levrone conveyed her delight with her third-fastest American time, stating she still has enough time to achieve the feat of American record.

"47 yeah, I mean first 400 of the Year felt good. It wasn't exactly what we were hoping for but sometimes you just got to feel the race. So I'll take that," McLaughlin-Levrone said at 0:04.
"So close but you know what it's all good. There's so much time to do that and it's always just about refining it and learning," she added.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will be seen competing at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials scheduled to be held at Hayward Feild from June 21 to 30.

Attending the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco is a dream for most people — but mine became a reality last weekend when Page Six digital managing editor Ally D’Aluisio and I traveled from NYC to Monte Carlo for the big event.

The VIP treatment started as soon as we touched down in Nice, France, and were met by a Blade helicopter representative who escorted us from a commercial flight to a private vehicle that drove us straight to the airport’s helipad.

Before I knew it, the copter had lifted off, and we were met with breathtaking views of the French Riviera.

In addition to the spectacular scenery, the helicopter flight gave us another beautiful gift — time.

Instead of making a drive that could take up to an hour, or being at the mercy of public transportation, we flew right over the water and arrived in Monaco in just seven minutes.

Before we knew it, we landed in the billionaires’ playground and made our way to the Fairmont Monte Carlo — and that’s where the fun officially began.

Monaco is known for its affluent residents and luxurious activities, but the sheer opulence of the country became apparent from the second I opened my eyes and saw numerous yachts right outside my balcony.

That number only grew as we got closer to Sunday’s Grand Prix, and soon enough you could hardly see the water due to the sheer amount of luxury vessels parked there.

The Circuit de Monaco is one of the most prestigious and challenging F1 tracks in the world, forcing drivers to complete 78 laps around the principality’s streets, which contain sharp turns, tunnels and more.

The track is known for its iconic hairpin curve, one of the most recognizable corners of the Monaco Grand Prix.

It is the slowest turn on the track, ensuring the best vantage point of the race cars — and we scored an exclusive invitation to Baccarat and Lilly’s coveted suite inside the Fairmont which overlooks it.

The vibe in the suite was pure elegance, with Baccarat crystals adorning the space and an award-winning bartender creating creating sophisticated, high-end cocktails.

And the luxe life didn’t stop there.

We were later escorted to Lilly’s nightclub for an exclusive tour, during which the entrance was lined with more than $50 million worth of cars.

Before even walking inside the club we saw a Bugatti, Pagani, McLaren and even a silver Porsche 550 Spyder — the type of car in which James Dean died.

Monaco is known to be the home of some of the most prestigious clubs on the French Riviera, and nights can get pretty wild when the Grand Prix rolls around.

Lilly’s had an incredible three-night lineup of deejays the Martinez Brothers, Rampa and Peggy Gou, followed by a closing evening performance by Travis Scott.

Celebrities including Odell Beckham Jr., Winnie Harlow, Kyle Kuzma, Will.i.am and Jason Oppenheim flocked to the club to catch the performances .

Joe Jonas monaco grand prix 2024

There were bottles poppin’ and caviar bumps flowing — and just like the stars , I had to take part in the festivities.

On Sunday, I felt like a champion watching the Grand Prix from the Nikki Beach rooftop, where celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and the Hadid sisters have partied in the past.

But the real winner of the weekend was 26-year-old Charles Leclerc, who became the first Monégasque to win the Monaco Grand Prix in 93 years — a dream he’s had since he was a child.

Charles Leclerc monaco grand prix

He celebrated his first victory in his hometown with the Ferrari Formula 1 team by diving headfirst into Port Hercules wearing an almost $300,000 Richard Mille watch that, fortunately, is water-resistant up to 30 meters.

After spending a week taking in the sights, sounds, food and shopping excursions, as well as attending the most sought-out motorsport in the world, attending the Monaco Grand Prix finally has been checked off my bucket list.

Mclaughlin-levrone and lyles secure statement sprint wins in new york.

Dominant sprint wins by Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Noah Lyles and another seven metre-plus long jump victory by Tara Davis-Woodhall were among the highlights as World Athletics Continental Tour Gold action continued at the USATF New York City Grand Prix on Sunday (9).

McLaughlin-Levrone has tested herself in a range of disciplines already this year but the Olympic 400m hurdles champion and world record-holder made a big statement in her first 400m flat race of 2024.

The 24-year-old decided to focus on the flat event in 2023 before injury forced her to end her season early. Returning to the 400m for the first time since last July, she lit up the track with a 48.75 world lead that was just 0.01 off the PB she set last year – a mark that places her 10th on the world all-time list.

With Sanya Richards-Ross the only US women’s 400m sprinter to have ever gone faster with 48.70 in 2006, McLaughlin-Levrone’s immediate post-race reaction was “so close”.

Racing on a blustery afternoon, she won by more than two seconds, Talitha Diggs taking the runner-up spot in 50.91.

Two days after an exclusive pre-screening of the new Netflix Sport series ‘Sprint’ in New York , Lyles – one of the starring athletes – demonstrated his ‘main character energy’ to win the 200m on his season debut at the distance.

Running into a headwind, the six-time world gold medallist blazed to a clear win in 19.77 (-1.6 m/s) and was never threatened, even with a strong finish by Joseph Fahnbulleh who came through for second place in 20.15. Josephus Lyles, the younger brother of Noah, was third in 20.51.

Another athlete bringing big energy to New York’s Icahn Stadium was world indoor long jump champion Davis-Woodhall, who secured her sixth win of the season and fourth consecutive seven metre-plus triumph.

This time she soared a best of 7.14m, just four centimetres off the world-leading PB she set in Albuquerque in February. Jasmine Moore was second with a 6.88m leap.

In the women’s 200m, the biggest challenger to Gabby Thomas seemed to be the wind. Just over an hour after she finished fourth in the 100m, the world 200m silver medallist lined up for the longer sprint and ran 22.42 into a strong headwind (-3.1m/s). Tamara Clark chased her home in 22.79.

It was Nigeria’s Favour Ofili who got the 100m win as she held off Morolake Akinosun and her US compatriots Aleia Hobbs and Thomas with an 11.18 run into another significant headwind (-2.1m/s).

Akinosun was 0.02 back, with Hobbs third in 11.21 and Thomas fourth in 11.34. Jamaica’s five-time Olympic gold medallist Elaine Thompson-Herah finished ninth for the second time in as many races and looked in pain at the finish as she immediately removed her right spike before being helped off the track.

USA’s 2022 world champion Fred Kerley originally lined up for the 100m but after jumping out of the blocks and stumbling before the race was recalled, he decided not to restart. Nigeria’s Udodi Onwuzurike went on to claim the win, clocking 10.24 (-0.7m/s) to finish just 0.01 ahead of Kendal Williams, with Pjai Austin another 0.01 back in third.

World indoor 60m hurdles champion and world record-holder Devynne Charlton got off to a trademark fast start in the women’s 100m hurdles and she managed to hold on for the win, dipping to victory in 12.56 (-1.9m/s) ahead of Alaysha Johnson, finishing just 0.02 back. World record-holder Tobi Amusan was third in 12.66.

World silver medallist Trey Cunningham looked on his way to a dominant victory in the 110m hurdles and while he did eventually win the race, Rasheed Broadbell made sure it was a more competitive affair. Cunningham dipped over the finish line in 13.21 (-0.8m/s), 0.07 ahead of the Commonwealth Games champion.

Four athletes looked in contention as the men’s 400m reached the home straight, with Kirani James, Wayde van Niekerk, Jereem Richards and Matthew Boling all running in a line off the final bend.

As they battled for the finish, 2012 Olympic champion James proved strongest, powering to a win in a season’s best of 44.55. Just behind that leading quartet off the curve was Chris Bailey and he unleashed a late surge to secure second place in 44.73, 0.01 ahead of world record-holder Van Niekerk.

Another global gold medallist in action was Jake Wightman and he raced to a narrow win in the 1500m, running a final lap of 52.5 to pass and hold off Eric Holt. Wightman, the 2022 world champion, overtook leader Holt down the back straight and began to charge to the finish line, with world road mile champion Hobbs Kessler giving chase.

Wightman managed to hold on, just – clocking a season’s best of 3:34.01 and inspiring Holt to a PB of 3:34.05. Kessler secured third in 3:34.41.

Sage Hurta-Klecker used a well-timed kick to win the women’s 800m, surging down the home straight to break the tape in 2:00.33 and triumph ahead of her US compatriots Olivia Baker (2:00.73) and Sammy Watson (2:00.91).

The men’s 800m was won by Mexico’s Jesus Tonatiu Lopez as he powered away from his rivals and held on to take top spot in 1:44.96. Wes Ferguson was some way back off the bend but ran a storming finish to take second place in a PB of 1:45.06.

Competing the evening before the main programme, Cuba’s Yaime Perez – who threw 73.09m in April for the longest mark in the world since 1989 – achieved a dominant discus win, throwing 68.31m. Alex Rose is another athlete who has been in fine form recently, having improved the Oceanian record to 71.48m in May, and he won the men’s event in New York with a best of 66.18m.

Canada’s world indoor champion Sarah Mitton was the sole athlete to surpass 20 metres in the women’s shot put and she did so twice, throwing 20.15m and 20.07m to eventually win by more than a metre. Olympic silver medallist Raven Saunders was second with 19.11m.

US javelin record-holder Kara Winger announced her retirement in 2022, the year she became a world silver medallist. Since then she has worked in the media and as an official, but she returned to the field of play in New York and did so in winning style.

Throwing 63.22m and surpassing 60 metres with three of her attempts, she won by more than three metres, with her US compatriot Maggie Malone-Hardin finishing second with 59.93m.

Vashti Cunningham had the high jump won with her second-time clearance of 1.90m but the 2016 world indoor champion had the bar raised to 1.95m and managed that on her first try before three unsuccessful attempts at a season’s best of 1.98m.

Her US compatriot Dontavious Hill entered the competition at a PB height of 2.26m and that decision paid off as he cleared the bar on his second attempt to win and add two centimetres to his previous best. He went on to have three tries at 2.33m.

The men’s triple jump came down to a battle between the Scotts as USA’s Donald Scott beat Jamaica’s Jordan Scott by just two centimetres, 16.94m to 16.92m, while Marquis Dendy won the long jump with a leap of 8.07m.
