Too close to call.

DPC WEU 2023 Tour 1 Division I

Updated on February 1, 7:15 a.m. (GMT+8) : Updated results.

The Dota Pro Circuit is back in 2023 in Western Europe.

The DPC WEU 2023 Tour 1 Division 1 starts January 9, off the back of one of the region’s strongest-ever showings at The International. It was the third time in four years that a Western European team claimed the Aegis of Champions, after Tundra Esports swept compatriot Team Secret in the finals .

Three WEU teams — Tundra, Secret, and Team Liquid — were in the top three, and six teams were in the top 12. The same six teams are back in Tour 1 for yet another bloodbath of a DPC season, along with promotees Nigma Galaxy and Into the Breach.

What is the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 1 Division 1?

Tundra Esports wins TI11

This Regional League is the first of three Tours for the Dota Pro Circuit this year.

Besides prize money, teams fight for a variety of opportunities. The top four teams from the Western European region qualify for the first Major of the season. The top six teams stay in Division 1 for the next Tour, while the bottom two teams will be relegated to Division 2.

All eight teams in the Regional League will periodically play each other in a round-robin best-of-three.

Tiebreakers will only be played if it affects qualification — for Majors and relegation. A two-way tie will trigger a best-of-three tiebreaker. If there are more than two teams tied, the tiebreaker will be a best-of-one instead.

The top three teams qualify for the first Major of the season.

Two of the teams earned a promotion from Division II from the previous season.

As per the norm, Valve has allocated $205,000 USD in prize winnings and 1,150 Pro Circuit points. However, this year shall see The International 2022 (TI11) tournament organizer PGL taking over DreamHack’s duties as the tournament organizer for the 2023 DPC season in Western Europe.

Furthermore, in accordance with the DPC format from last year, the top four teams in the region by the end of the regional league will earn most of the DPC points while also securing a slot for the upcoming Dota 2 Major in Peru.

Finally, the bottom two teams by the end of the Winter Tour will be relegated to Division II for the Spring Tour with the top two teams from Division II replacing them. However, all matches during the season will remain as best of three.

WEU DPC DIV 1: Week 1

Weu dpc div 1: week 2, weu dpc div 1: week 3, where to watch and broadcast talent.

The matches will be shown live on PGL's Dota 2 Twitch channel, which can be found at https://www.twitch.tv/pgl_dota2 . As of now, there is no announcement from the tournament organizers regarding the broadcast talent however one of the confirmed talents so far is Dota 2 statistician Lea "Leamare" Silakov.

The Winter Tour will mostly serve as a testing ground for the newly established rosters with the exception of The International 2022 (TI11) champion, Tundra Esports. However, teams such as Team Secret, Team Liquid and OG will be looking to dethrone Tundra Esports as the best team in the region while also looking to earn qualification for the recently announced Lima Major in Peru.

Dota Pro Circuit 2023: DPC Winter Tour scores, standings, and points

New year, new faces, new dominant forces.

Avatar photo

The 2023 Dota Pro Circuit is officially underway, which means all of the newly formed, altered, or returning rosters are knee-deep in some of the most competitive Dota 2 matches of the year. With the start of the Winter Tour, all six major regions will see heated competition for a handful of coveted spots at the first South American Major in DPC history.

The Winter Tour will also be the first time Valve implements its updated DPC format, which splits up Division I and Division II brackets into separate schedules—giving teams in Division I more time to rest, bootcamp, and prepare for the Major if they qualify. But first, they have to prove they have what it takes to claim a spot at the Lima Major or at least claim some coveted DPC Points, while all of the teams in Division II work to move up for the Spring Tour.

With that in mind, here is everything you need to know about the 2023 DPC’s Winter Tour, including its prize pool, format, schedule, standings, and all of the DPC Points up for grabs.

Dota Pro Circuit 2023: Full DPC Winter Tour points, scores, and standings

dpc weu tour 1 winter 2023

Even though Valve struck gold with the 2022 Dota 2 battle pass, the 2023 DPC’s prize pool structure has remained unchanged from the previous year. The only thing that has been updated is the schedule, which splits up the Division I and Division II matches into two separate three-week blocks, and DPC points payout.

Division I matches are already underway and will fully conclude by Feb. 3 for all six regions. This will conclude the Winter Tour for all of the top teams, finalizing who will be heading to the Lima Major.

Division II matches will pick up on Feb. 1 and run through Feb. 21—ensuring there will be no lack of competitive Dota right before the Major begins.

  • Prize pool: $205,000 and 1,150 DPC Points
  • China: Jan. 5 to Feb. 3

  • NA: Jan. 9 to 29
  • WEU: Jan. 9 to 29

As always, the bottom two teams from Division I will drop into Division II, with the top two rosters from Division II moving up to replace them. Likewise, the bottom two teams from Division II will be relegated out of the regional league to let two new teams from an open qualifier compete. There are some instances where more spots open up in both divisions, but this is the base model every Tour follows.

With all of that in mind, here are the full regional results for all six regions across both Division I and II—updated as the matches are completed and with finalized results bolded to show they are locked in.
