You may have seen our list of the best youtube travel vloggers written by the outstanding Christine of GrrlTraveler . She introduced us to some of the best travel vloggers who have endured through the years. That list of youtube channels features the heavy hitters and best travel vloggesr on YouTube, including Vagabrothers, Mark Weins, Kristen and Siya, Samuel and Audrey and Hey Nadine. So check that out here .

We didn’t want to mess with Christine’s list, but we did want to share more amazing youtube travel channels with you that we check out weekly. Christine had a strict criteria for her choices for the best travel channel like consistent updates, niche, and channels that bring a new spin on the word Travel Show – (She knows what she likes and she has a TV producing background after all).

Best Travel YouTube Channels

We chose our list of YouTube travel channels in a similar fashion. They are people we watch regularly, they update consistently, and have entertaining videos and personalities and do creative work. These travel YouTubers combined with Christine’s list are the best travel channels on youtube. They make us want to travel and I know they will do the same for you. 

Most Inspiring YouTube Travel Channels

These are not in a particular order. Everyone on this list is a great travel channel on YouTube. There is something to suit everyone’s taste.

1. MIKE COREY

Mike is one of the most innovative storytellers in travel on YouTube. With his unique editing, fantastic footage and wild sense of adventure you’ll love watching his videos from around the world. Because of his high production value, Mike is hired a lot for companies and brands to make professional travel videos on their channels. Mike is so charismatic, he is a host on the BBC Travel channel too!

2. Drew Binsky

When we first wrote this list (and Christine wrote hers) Drew Binskey wasn’t even on the radar yet. And now he has exploded to become the most successful youtube travel channel out there. He is on a mission to visit every single country on earth and Drew shares videos that take you off the beaten path. He is always showing you what it is really like to travel to a place and he features locals in interviews showcasing their culture and every day life.

3. ARIENNE PARZEI

Arienne has burst onto the scene in the past year, but we’ve known her for quite some time. Winning the Best in Travel at the Buffer Festival in Toronto (this is considered the Oscars of YouTube Travel) she has gone none stop producing quality videos. Her 8 part video series highlights her climb of Mount Kilimanjaro with World Vision Canada. Her videos are professional quality and she is highly sought after by brands and destinations to produce travel videos.

4. Going Awesome Places

Will of Going Awesome Places covers everything travel. From what travel gear he uses, to giving you inspiration to create your own trips. We love his editing style, use of drones and the feeling of taking you into the destination as you travel along. Will has some great adventures and is a serious adventure traveler but he also has a lot of fun showing travels that everyone can do too!

5. Tourist2Townie

Gareth travels slow and really delves into the destination that he visits. Tourist2Townie travelled extensively in Brazil and became a sensation in Brazil. While visiting a Rio favela, we even saw his logo plastered on the walls of the community. Now that’s fame! 

He’s now left South America and is bigger than ever traveling the world and sharing his video series from each country he visits on his exceptional travel channel.

6. Expert Vagabond

Matthew Karsten is the king of adventure travel doing everything from diving with sharks in South Africa (without a cage) to trekking solo across Greenland. If you want inspiration or need some motivation to get your lazy butt off the couch, check out his videos that he’s posted from his years of travelling around the world.

Update: We shared Matt’s video above in 2019 when updating this article and couldn’t believe this moment never went viral. Well guess what? It finally hit the big time and everyone is buzzing about that penguin now. Check it out.

7. Steve Hanisch

Steve is another travel videographer with high production value on his travel channel that is sought after by tourism board and travel brands. He speaks around the world about making travel videos and produces his videos in both English and German. He’s also got a great sense of humour and is an all-around nice guy.

8. Be My Travel Muse

Kristin is one of the top female travel bloggers and is making waves in the travel vlogging world now too! Travel along with your laid back vibe as she goes around the world to places like the Philippines and Mexico to everywhere in between. She does adventure travels and we love how she chats directly to the audience making you feel like a friend.

Maiku runs his own production company and has won several video awards. We always love checking out his videos. He has put together some great video series that keep you hooked on what is coming next. I really like his behind the scenes information and journalist quality videos like the video above showcasing the Toronto restaurant market.

10. David’s Been Here

David Hoffmann has been traveling the world since 2008. We met him in Istanbul and since that time his YouTube Channel that focuses on food and travel has skyrocketed! With videos uploaded nearly every day from 77 countries and over 1,000 destinations, you’ll never run out of things to watch!

11. Getting Stamped

Adam and Hanna are that dreamy couple that you see on commercials showcasing exotic destinations. They were made for starring in their own travel channel. We love going to island destinations with them as they showcase beautiful locales with their drone work and fanstastic cinematography.

12. Vacation Couple

Kristin and Shadi specialize in resort tours and when we book vacations, we check out their travel channel first. Shadi is a graphic artist by trade, so his work is second to none. When you watch their travel videos, you feel like you are watching a Club Med advertisement and will want to book a luxurious getaway right now!

13. Nomadasaurus

Alesha and Jarryd are an Australian adventure couple that have been on the go for since meeting in a hostel in 2008. They’ve recently returned home after a decade of traveling the world and are showcasing their life in a van through fun videos. We love their organic style and sense of adventure in their videos.

14. Christopher Rudder

Chris is a fellow Canuck who shares his love for travel through his cinematic style and very sexy voiceovers. (this is Deb talking here 🙂 I feel like I am watching a full on travel show when watching Chris as he covers everything from adventure to food, culture and city guides.

15. CAILIN O’NEIL

Cailin was one of the first travel bloggers/youtubers we ever discovered. Coming from a film and TV background she puts a lot of information and personality into her videos. Cailin is a fellow Canuck who has a great sense of humour and a talent for storytelling. Coming from a film and tv background, she makes her travel videos feel like a proper documentary-like one of our favourites the Tomatino Festival.

16. Cammy D

Cameron is the son of one of the world’s top travel writers, Heather Greenwood Davis and he is going to be a star. While still in school, he’s been producing travel vlogs about travels that he’s been on with his family. He’s been branching out recently from travel to tackle subjects like racism, the importance of youth voices, and even showing off his talents in video games.

17. Brendan Vanson

Brendan has a great mix of photography tuturials and day vlogging. Mixing his talents for photography and his great sense of humour, he has been able to carve out a unique niche that has attracted a large following. If you love to take pictures of your travels, you’ll love his getting the shots series “Where he explains how he takes his breathtaking images.

Way late to the game but I’d recommend Indigo Traveller. He puts out lots of great content, goes to a number of less poplar destinations (including NK), and seems like a genuinely awesome guy to boot.

Hey there! When/if you update your YouTube adventure travels to watch list, maybe consider QE Adventures (short for Quinn and Ethan Adventures).

These teenage brothers are skilled videographers and editors and personably narrate their family friendly high adventures in a style that makes audiences wish they’d come along. It’s one of the few channels with videos from the teenage travelers’ perspectives.

What is with the popularity contest? This is the same boring list that everyone publishes. I’m so tired of seeing the same people on these lists, two of whom should not be included!

The one thing that you have noticed is that those who make YouTube travel video has best of their components and top quality video camera devices which let them take best of shots make them look like a professional photographer.

Reddit weighs new video feature with ‘reactions’ for use in its online discussions

Reddit is exploring the idea of bringing more user-generated video content to its online discussion forums, the company has confirmed.

Not much has yet been determined about this potential new video feature — which hasn’t been launched into testing, we should note. But we understand it may involve the use of TikTok-like video editing tools including, most notably, the ability for people to “react” to videos posted by others by adding their own video to another’s.

The ability to combine videos from different people grew popular on TikTok through features known as Stitches and Duets , which have has since been adopted by TikTok rivals including Instagram’s Reels and Snapchat’s Spotlight , to varying degrees.

In Reddit’s case, however, the goal is not necessarily to build out its own TikTok competitor aimed at creators as other large social giants have done, but rather create a video tool that would continue Reddit’s mission of enabling its users to engage in discussions on topics they care about. Today, many of these discussions on Reddit’s site are written in text, but video reactions could add a new layer to these online conversations. (To be clear, video is already supported on Reddit’s platform, but video reactions — similar to “Stitches” — are not.)

The company will be reaching out to various communities, known as subreddits, to determine whether they would be interested in exploring video in such a way. Specifically, it will be looking to particular communities where it thinks the video feature could be a good product fit. But those community tests have yet to begin.

“In line with our work to help people engage in the topics that matter to them through social audio, video, text, memes, and more, we’re in the process of reaching out to a few Reddit communities to see if a new video feature we’re working on is something they find useful and fun,” a Reddit spokesperson confirmed to TechCrunch. “After getting feedback from Redditors, we’ll explore an initial test for this new capability,” they noted.

The potential “reactions” feature in the new video project was first uncovered by iOS developer Steve Moser. Other video editing tools could also be a part of the tests, including those for adding effects, filters, and stickers to videos backed by music, among other things. Some of this functionality was added to the Reddit camera app last November as part of Reddit’s ongoing video efforts.

In December 2020, Reddit signaled its interest in expanding further into video after it acquired TikTok competitor Dubsmash . The company shut down the app this year after first working to integrate the startup’s video creation tools into Reddit. As part of that integration, Reddit announced it would introduce new camera features, including the ability to set a timer and change recording speeds, use effects, add voiceovers, trim and adjust multiple clips, and more. Reddit users today can access these video features by way of the “new post” tool, then selecting the video option and choosing “camera” to record a video.

In addition, Reddit last summer tested a TikTok-like video feed on its iOS app which, when tapped, would show a stream of short videos in a vertical feed. Users could upvote, downvote, comment, gift an award, or share the video from this feed, then swipe up to see more.

Neither of those projects is directly related to the forthcoming video test, which is focused on exploring a new use case for video on the platform. But the underlying video technology acquired from Dubsmash would be involved.

As this product is still in extremely early stages — not even alpha testing yet — a lot could still change. There’s also the possibility that Reddit’s communities show no interest in testing such a video product and the idea is scrapped.

The video feature appears to be inspired by TikTok, which already allows creators to engage in discussions using video comments. And this functionality has been subsequently cloned by other social apps including Pinterest , Twitter , and Instagram . But perhaps video discussions on Reddit more closely align with an idea proposed by an early 2000s startup called Seesmic (clearly ahead of its time), which once theorized that people would respond to posts, blogs, and other text-based content by leaving video comments. What’s old is new again, it seems.

New footage of Scottie Scheffler’s arrest last Friday surfaced on Thursday morning after the Louisville Metro Police Department held a press conference.

The Louisville Mayor stated that the video would speak for itself. However, it appears to have done the complete opposite. PGA Tour fans saw the footage and immediately noticed differences in the LMPD’s evidence.

Scheffler called it a misunderstanding , but it looks as if he will still have to appear in court.

After LMPD released the two videos , the footage matched what Scheffler’s defense attorney, Steve Romines, had said all along: his client did nothing wrong.

Many questioned the video and if it matched the police report. Most of the reactions to these videos, though, were comical. They did not hesitate to troll the police department.

After watching the video, fans joked about the kind of sentence Scheffer should get. X user Angie Smith clearly has a great sense of humor.

After all, the LMPD charged Scheffler with second-degree assault, which is a felony.

If one looks at the police report, Officer Bryan Gillis says he was dragged, but the pole cam video shows otherwise.

Shooter McGavin also weighed in with an Officer Gillis joke. Many chose to troll him since the evidence does not seem to add up.

Two-time PGA Tour winner Grayson Murray died Saturday morning at age 30, one day after he withdrew from the Charles Schwab Cup Challenge at Colonial.

There were no immediate details on the circumstances of his death, only shock and grief from the PGA Tour and his management team.

“I am at a loss for words,” PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said. “The PGA Tour is a family, and when you lose a member of your family, you are never the same. We mourn Grayson and pray for comfort for his loved ones.”

His management company, GSE Worldwide, confirmed the death and said it was heartbroken.

“We will hold off on commenting until we learn further details, but our heart aches for his family, his friends and all who loved him during this very difficult time,” GSE said in a statement.

Monahan said he spoke with Murray’s parents to offer condolences, and they asked that the tournament in Fort Worth, Texas, continue.

He said grief counselors would be on site at the PGA Tour and Korn Ferry Tour event in Knoxville, Tennessee. Monahan headed to Texas and later appeared on CBS as the third round was ending.

“To see the devastation on the faces of every player coming in is really difficult to see and really just profound,” Monahan said. “Grayson was a remarkable player, but he was a very courageous man. I’ve always loved that about him.”

Murray, who had dealt with alcohol and mental health issues in the past, made a massive turnaround this year and won the Sony Open , hitting wedge to 3 feet for birdie on the final hole to get into a playoff and winning it with a 40-foot putt.

He also won the Barbasol Championship in 2017.

“It was a huge shock. My heart sank,” said Webb Simpson, who learned of Murray’s death shortly before teeing off at Colonial. He said Murray was the first winner of his junior tournament and they shared the same swing coach as juniors.

“I just hate it so much,” Simpson said. “I’m going to miss him. I’m thankful he was in the place with his faith before this morning happened.”

Murray was No. 58 in the world rankings coming off a tie for 43rd in the PGA Championship last week at Valhalla. He also made the cut in his Masters debut, finishing 51st, and was in the field for the U.S. Open next month at Pinehurst No. 2.

Murray, who grew up in North Carolina, was among the most talented juniors in the country. He won the prestigious Junior World Championship in San Diego three straight years and earned the Arnold Palmer Scholarship at Wake Forest.

He wound up going to three colleges, lastly at Arizona State, and won as a 22-year-old PGA Tour rookie at the Barbasol Championship.

Murray said in January that he had been sober for eight months, was engaged to be married, had become a Christian and felt his best golf was ahead of him. He was appointed to the 16-member Player Advisory Council.

“My story is not finished. I think it’s just beginning,” Murray said in Hawaii. “I hope I can inspire a lot of people going forward that have their own issues.”

Murray said he used to drink during tournament weeks as a rookie because he knew he had talent and felt he was invincible. He also brought attention to himself through social media, openly criticizing other players and getting into one social media spat with Kevin Na over Na’s reputation as a slow player.

But he felt like he turned the corner when he sought help — letting others fight for him, is how he explained it this year.

“It took me a long time to get to this point,” Murray said in January. “That was seven years ago, over seven years ago. I’m a different man now. I would not be in this position right now today if I didn’t put that drink down eight months ago.”

Peter Malnati played with Murray at Colonial. He offered to go on the CBS telecast Saturday afternoon and immediately broke down trying to talk about him.

“It’s a huge loss for all of us on the PGA Tour,” Malnati said. “As much as we want to beat each other, we’re one big family, and we lost one today. It’s terrible.”

Wynonna Judd is opening up about why performing with Emmy Russell on “ American Idol ” was a meaningful moment for her.

The “Tell Me Why” singer shared a sweet post on Monday from her “American Idol” performance with Russell, who is the granddaughter of country music legend Loretta Lynn .

“Last night’s @americanidol performance was such a full circle moment for me,” Judd said. “Loretta Lynn was the first woman to hug me in country music.”

“To sing Loretta’s life story with her granddaughter @emmyroserussell, and send her off as an artist in her own right, was so life giving,” she continued. “Emmy, I know your Memaw is so proud. I am too!!!!”

During their performance, Russell and Judd sang a moving rendition of Lynn’s hit song, “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” As they performed, several photos of Russell and Lynn were projected on the stage behind them.

The duo also sang Judd’s song, “No One Else on Earth.”

Russell, who made it to the top five on the show, honored Lynn in several ways throughout season 22.

In April, she sang a stripped-down piano version of “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” Russell said that the song, which was chosen that week by judge Katy Perry, is one she knows “like the back of my hand.”

“I love singing from the heart, and I think this is a perfect song for that,” she said. “I mean, it’s my grandma’s song -- can’t get much closer to the heart than your own blood.”

Lynn died in October 2022 at the age of 90.

'Ready to make that USA Team': Sha'Carri Richardson cruises to 100m win at Pre Classic

EUGENE, Oregon — Sha'Carri Richardson continued her revenge tour Saturday at the Prefontaine Classic at Hayward Field, winning the women’s 100-meter dash in 10.83 seconds. And according to the sprinting dynamo, she’s just getting started. 

It was clear about 30 meters in that Richardson was going to cruise to a victory, topping Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred (second at 10.93 seconds) and Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith (third at 10.98). Jamaican star Elaine Thompson-Herah, the defending gold medalist in both the 100 and 200, finished last at 11.30.

“I’m excited, I’m eager going into the rest of this season, I’m growing, developing and just getting ready to make that USA Team,” Richardson exclusively told USA TODAY Sports afterward, joy radiating off her petite frame. 

The Pre is unique in that there are no preliminary heats, only finals. It’s considered a fan-friendly and made-for-TV event. Saturday was the first time this outdoor season that Richardson has run the 100. (She did not run in the LA Grand Prix on May 18, and finished in second and third in two 200 April races.) She admitted afterward she was nervous getting into the blocks — “I’m human,” she said — but said her coach encouraged her to use those nerves to power her down the track. Clearly, the advice worked. 

Every time Richardson crouches down to get into blocks, she blows a kiss to the sky, an acknowledgement of her faith in God and how He’s blessed her. It’s a necessary reminder, she said, of “the belief that I have to have in myself first and the blessing I know I’ve been given to give back in the world, to be that vessel, to shine, to allow his glory and His love to reign through me.” 

It’s been a journey to get back to this point, she acknowledged. 

Just three years ago, Richardson went through a spectacular rise and fall prior to the 2021 Olympics. After winning the 100 meters at the trials , she never made it to Tokyo after testing positive for marijuana , a banned substance. She later said she used marijuana as a way to cope with the shocking news of her biological mother’s passing (Richardson was raised by her grandmother). 

She was ridiculed by fans and media alike after the snafu, with much of the criticism racially tinged. Briefly, she disappeared from public view. When she came back, she bombed at the 2022 USATF championships, failing to make the finals in both the 100 and 200. One year later, when she blazed to a 10.82-second win at the U.S. Track and Field Championships — also held in Eugene — she told NBC as she came off the track, “I’m ready mentally, physically and emotionally. And I’m here to stay. I’m not back, I’m better .” She followed that performance up by winning the 100 at the World Championships in Budapest, also taking home gold in the women’s 4x100 relay and bronze in the 200.

Months later, when finished fourth in the 100 at 2023 Pre, she gushed afterward about how she had “ fallen back in love with my sport .” She was bubbly and chatty, and obviously in a better place mentally.  

But she’s eyeing more. 

“We’ve been preparing for the (Olympic) trials since November,” she said Saturday, laughing. “(We’re) continuing to keep that focus, keep that love and keep that positive mindset, knowing that my growth is going (to continue) into the trials and even more going into the Games.”

The last year in particular, Richardson said, has been one of “exploring myself, learning myself, falling deeper in love with myself (and) everything I put myself into.” The key, she’s learned, is to give herself love first so she can keep “falling in love with the process” throughout her career. 

That process has three steps between now and June 21, when she’s scheduled to run in her first trials prelim: Grinding, focusing and growing. 

Keep an eye on those three, and redemption is surely waiting for Richardson.

If you want to share an online video in a Reddit post and have the video appear in the post's body, you'll need to create a link post. Unlike a traditional text post, a link post places a video player into the body of the post rather than just the video's address. If the video you want to share is on your computer, phone, or tablet, you can embed it in a Reddit post by creating a video post. This wikiHow teaches you how to post a video to Reddit so that the video appears in the actual post.

Quick Steps

• Copy the URL to a video you want to post.
• Open the Reddit app or Reddit website.
• Go to the subreddit you want to post to and create a new post.
• Click or tap the chain-link icon and paste the video URL.
• Click or tap Post .

• Alternatively, using the YouTube app, you can tap Share below a video and then tap the Reddit icon. Write something about the video and tap Next in the upper-right corner. Then select a subreddit.

PGA TOUR winner Grayson Murray passes away at 30

Grayson Murray, who won his second PGA TOUR title at this year’s Sony Open in Hawaii, passed away Saturday.

"We were devastated to learn – and are heartbroken to share – that PGA TOUR player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words,” PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan said. “The PGA TOUR is a family, and when you lose a member of your family, you are never the same. We mourn Grayson and pray for comfort for his loved ones.

“I reached out to Grayson’s parents to offer our deepest condolences, and during that conversation, they asked that we continue with tournament play,” Commissioner Monahan continued. “They were adamant that Grayson would want us to do so. As difficult as it will be, we want to respect their wishes.”

Grief counselors were made available at the venues for this week’s PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour events. Commissioner Monahan, who traveled from TOUR headquarters in Florida to the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas, said he was "devastated" by the loss.

Grayson's parents, Eric and Terry Murray, said in a statement Sunday that the cause of death was suicide .

"Was Grayson loved? The answer is yes," his parents wrote. "By us, his brother Cameron, his sister Erica, all of his extended family, by his friends, by his fellow players and – it seems – by many of you who are reading this. He was loved and he will be missed."

Murray, 30, was a standout golfer from his youth. He won three consecutive Callaway Junior World Championships (2006-08) and was the top-ranked golfer in his age group. He made his first cut on the Korn Ferry Tour at age 16, becoming the second-youngest player ever to do so. After stints at Wake Forest University, East Carolina University and Arizona State University, he got the break he needed in 2016 when he was given a sponsor exemption into the Korn Ferry Tour event near his hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina. He finished inside the top 10 at that event, the Rex Hospital Open, which qualified him for another start. When he posted another top 10 at the BMW Charity Pro-Am, his professional career took off. He concluded his season with a victory at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship to finish second on the Korn Ferry Tour money list and earn full status on the PGA TOUR for the 2016-17 season. The win came a week before his 23rd birthday.

Murray wasted little time establishing himself on golf’s biggest stage as a rookie. He won the 2017 Barbasol Championship while still just 23 years old. His final-round 68 not only secured a one-shot victory, but also solidified a two-year exemption through the 2019 PGA TOUR season. He finished 66th in the FedExCup and earned nearly $1.5 million.

Grayson struggled for the next few seasons on the PGA TOUR. In 2023, he found his game again on the Korn Ferry Tour; he notched two victories – the Advent Health Championship in Kansas City and the Simmons Bank Open outside of Nashville – to finish fourth on that tour’s points list and earn a spot back onto the PGA TOUR for the following season.

Murray opened the 2024 season with a playoff victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii. He made a clutch up and down on the 72nd hole for a birdie to force a playoff. Then he sank a 40-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole to defeat Byeong Hun An and Keegan Bradley. He reached a career-high 46th in the Official World Golf Ranking after that victory.
