Outspoken creator and star of the British “The Office” Ricky Gervais is crossing the pond and heading to the U.S. and Canada for four huge shows in June, July and August as part of his massive, international ‘Armageddon Tour.’

That includes back to back gigs at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1.

Well, thankfully, you can still pick up last-minute tickets for the five-time Golden Globe host’s pair of Big Apple gigs.

Ricky Gervais announces further 2023 ‘Armageddon’ World Tour dates

Ricky Gervais has announced a slew of new arena tour dates for his massive ‘Armaggedon’ World Tour.

Produced by Live Nation, the show will see Gervais continue to take his brand-new stand-up show to audiences around the globe, throughout this year and into 2024.

The acclaimed British comedian has already visited some of the biggest venues in the UK across the Armageddon tour, and today announces further UK dates in Cambridge, Leeds, Manchester, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Birmingham and Bristol. In the autumn, he will return to London for four dates at the prestigious London Palladium (13th – 16th September) and a massive show at London’s OVO Wembley Arena (6th October).

With some of the biggest European venues already under his belt in Amsterdam, Prague & Helsinki, Gervais now announces further arena gigs across Europe for 2023, in Vienna, Dublin, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Oslo, Lisbon, Stockholm, Berlin and Munich.

Stateside, Gervais was already lined up to play two sell-out shows at NY’s Radio City Music Hall (30th June & 1st July), and a night at LA’s Hollywood Bowl (6th May), which is set to be one of his biggest stand-up gigs yet.

Today, further US & Canada dates have been announced in New York (Beacon Theatre, 1st May), Toronto (Scotiabank Arena, 10th August) and Montreal (Place Bell, 12th August).

“Ricky Gervais is Britain’s biggest comedian. He sells out arenas around the world,” said Ian Coburn, Live Nation.

“When I was invited to play the iconic Hollywood Bowl, I said “What if it rains?” This pretty much sums up how British people think,” said Gervais.

Tickets will be available starting with a Live Nation presale beginning Wednesday 29th March at 10am local time. The general on sale will begin Friday 31st March at 10am local time onlivenation.com. Tickets for previously announced dates are available now on livenation.com .

As Gervais has done with his previous tours, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charity.

Award-winning comedian, actor, writer, and director Ricky Gervais has today announced further massive arena dates on his Armageddon World Tour. Produced by Live Nation, tickets for all new dates on Ricky Gervais: Armageddon will go on general sale this Friday 31 st  March, 10am local time, as Gervais continues to take his brand-new stand-up show to audiences around the globe, throughout this year and into 2024. Gervais’s 2021 tour SuperNature was a huge success and subsequently became one of the most watched comedy specials of the year on Netflix, when it aired in May 2022. Netflix have already bought the rights to  Armageddon , which will stream as Ricky’s next Netflix special in early 2024.

Ricky Gervais has been one of the most prolific and highly-influential personalities and comedians over the past several years. Ricky Gervais has added more UK dates to his upcoming UK tour , Armageddon, after the first five shows sold out.

Gervais will begin touring the UK next week, with shows set to continue throughout the summer, before eventually coming to London for four dates in September.

The comedian and actor has also added more dates to his European and North American tours, which will see him perform in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Dublin, Barcelona, Oslo, and Berlin, among others.

Gervais expressed his excitement about the tour on Twitter, saying: “I had no money growing up. My dad was a labourer and my mum did everything to make ends meet. I went to the local comprehensive at the end of my road. Life was tough, I guess.

“And yet, all I can remember is having a  laugh. Anyway, in May, I’m playing The Hollywood F****** Bowl.”

How to get tickets to the Ricky Gervais ‘Armageddon’ tour this week

The comedian will perform across the UK, Europe, Canada and the US until the end of 2023

Ricky Gervais has announced additional dates for his Armageddon tour – find all the details on how to secure tickets below.

The comedian’s latest stand-up tour, which follows his previous show SuperNature , commenced with six UK dates throughout October and November last year.

Following the initial run, Gervais will continue to tour until the end of 2023 with additional dates across the UK, Europe, Canada and the US. This includes a four-night residency at the London Palladium in September.

After stops in Stockholm, Munich and Lisbon, the tour will conclude with two nights at Bristol’s Beacon concert hall in December.

Gervais performed a number of Armageddon warm-up shows last year. Back in June, he joked that he had reported his fans “for hate crimes” for laughing at this new material.

“Another amazing audience at @lsqtheatre for my #Armageddon new material night,” Gervais wrote on Twitter. They laughed at things that shouldn’t be laughed at and I have reported them all for hate crimes. I’ll do more soon.”

Earlier this year, Gervais faced criticism over “transphobic” jokes in his Netflix special SuperNature . After the special was released, the comedian defended making “taboo” jokes , saying comedy is for “getting us over taboo subjects so they’re not scary anymore”.

Comedian Ricky Gervais has announced more dates for his world tour, ‘Armageddon’ , which is already in full swing.

The tour includes a show at the iconic Hollywood Bowl, a venue that Gervais is especially looking forward to.

Gervais is known to donate some of the proceeds from his shows to charity , and reportedly intends to do the same with the ‘Armageddon’ world tour.

The latest edition to ‘Armageddon’ tour schedule

Having already visited big venues in the UK, Amsterdam, Prague, and Helsinki, the comedy star announced Monday that he will be adding more UK shows in Cambridge, Leeds, Manchester, Cardiff, Nottingham , Liverpool, Birmingham, and Bristol.

He’ll also add more stops across Europe, including Vienna, Dublin, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Oslo, Lisbon , Stockholm, Berlin, and Munich.

The ‘Armageddon’ tour will also make stops in the United States and Canada , with a show at the Beacon in New York on May 1, as well as stops in Toronto on August 10 and Montreal on August 12.

Ricky Gervais announces more Armageddon tour dates

European stand-up tour for 2023

Ricky Gervais  has today announced seven UK dates as part of a European tour for his latest stand-up show Armageddon.

Promoters Live Nation said these are the first batch of UK dates announced, with more to come as the tour will extend throughout next year and into 2024.

The UK dates kick off in York on January 10 and take in Cardiff,  Glasgow, Bournemouth, Brighton, Newcastle and Manchester – and tickets go on sale at 10 am on Drida.

It follows the announcement Gervais will be playing three major shows in the US next year, at LA’s Hollywood Bowl on May. 6 and New York’s Radio City Music Hall on June 30 and  July 1.

Comedian Ricky Gervais has announced a series of last-minute performances coming to London from next week.

The show – simply titled Ricky Gervais & Friends: New Material Show – will be running at the Leicester Square Theatre on the 2nd, 3rd, 8th and 9th of April.

In the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) Gervais said: “More New Material Shows Next Month. Tickets on Sale Thursday at 10am."

These new material nights have been a staple of the comedians since February 2022, as he often tries to fit them in around his busy tour schedule.

This will be the After Life creator’s first stand-up performance since Armageddon (now available on Netflix) wrapped up in December, so here’s how you can grab yourself a ticket.

The comedian's team have ordered a full security review ahead of his UK tour Armageddon which starts on Wednesday, according to The Sun.

Ricky Gervais is set to increase his security ahead of his upcoming UK tour after he reportedly received death threats following jokes he had made.

Gervais' team have ordered a full security review ahead of his UK tour Armageddon, which starts on Wednesday in Cardiff, according to The Sun.

The 61-year-old comedian co-created hit television shows such as The Office and After Life.

A source told the paper the star has been "made aware threats have been made to his life", including "disturbing letters".

"Ricky is very aware of the dangers and he can afford whatever security he wants, so he thought it was a no-brainer," they added.

The paper reports that it was understood at least one threat referred to comments in his Netflix special SuperNature that were slammed by LGBTQ+ activists for being "anti-trans".

His hour-long routine includes a series of jokes about gender identity and the gay community, which prompted GLAAD, a US LGBT rights group, to call the show "dangerous".

Gervais defended the programme , saying he wanted to take the "audience to a place it hasn't been before".

Sky News has contacted Gervais' representatives for comment.

The Armageddon tour will take in cities across the UK including London and Bristol.

Earlier this year, Gervais said on Twitter that Armageddon will stream on Netflix from next year.

Last year, comedian Dave Chappelle was "tackled" by a man who was carrying a replica gun containing a knife blade during a stand-up Netflix show in Los Angeles.

When it comes to advertising, comedian and actor Ricky Gervais has given the distillery he co-owns some serious star power.

Gervais was announced as a new partner and investor of North Yorkshire’s Ellers Farm Distillery late last year , with his focus to initially be on the company’s Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka brand.

As part of that, The Office co-creator is using his considerable social media presence (15 million followers on X/Twitter, and 3.9m on Instagram) to promote the spirit.

On 28 February, he shared a new advert for Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka that, in true Gervais style, uses awkwardness to generate humour.

Titled Health warning , the ad opens with Gervais introducing himself and a “Dr. Patterson”, who he then clarifies is in fact an actor “like George Clooney in ER ,” as Gervais then puts it.

The ad then concludes with Gervais then, perhaps inappropriately given the great list of problems alcohol abuse can cause that has just been read out, giving the vodka a plug.

It could be seen as both a parody of the convention of featuring actors playing doctors in advertising to lend products medical credentials (a staple of promoting toothpaste, for example), but also of the ‘drink responsibly’ health warnings that appear on adverts promoting alcohol. It is also very much in keeping with the darker humour for which Gervais is known – his Extras character Andy Millman wouldn’t be out of place in the scene.

This isn’t the only unconventional advert that Gervais has released on his social media to promote Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka. An earlier example has Gervais comment of the vodka, which has an RRP of £30: “If you can’t afford it, just get Smirnoff. You can get that for £15 in some places – it does the trick.”

When he joined Ellers Farm Distillery, Gervais said: “On a serious note Dutch Barn really is a quality product. I love the fact that it’s done differently and I can’t wait to let everyone know about it.”

However, the promotional campaign has not been particularly serious at all, with Gervais’ ads complemented by some of the unflattering ‘bath pics’ he is known to post on social media, with the addition of a bottle of Dutch Barn.

The spirits and beer categories in particular often utilise ironic, self-effacing humour on social media in a promotional effort. From the stars of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia pushing their Four Walls whiskey , to the Berlin brewery that parodied Jeremy Allen White’s viral Calvin Klein underwear advert to spread the word about its non-alcoholic beer .

Gervais’ efforts might readily be compared to those of Jeremy Clarkson for his Hawkstone beer brand, with the ex- Top Gear presenter claiming earlier this year that his low-alcohol lager is in fact “a wellness lager” .
