Reba mcentire concert tour info:.
Reba McEntire is without doubt one of the finest women in country music history. From her strong Oklahoma roots to her outstanding history of breaking records in country music, Reba has earned her place at the top of Nashville’s pinnacle of success.
Reba McEntire Biography
Reba Nell McEntire , known simply as Reba, is more than just an American country music singer and actress; she’s a living legend, the embodiment of the heart and soul of country music. With tour dates that have resonated with fans around the world, Reba has proven time and again why she’s hailed as “the Queen of Country.” Her journey from a humble Oklahoma upbringing to the bright lights of Nashville is a story of passion, perseverance, and profound talent.
Tour Dates That Tell a Tale:
- Reba’s music has touched the hearts of millions, with over 100 singles gracing the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart since the 1970s, and an astounding 25 of those singles reaching the coveted number one spot.
- Her live shows are legendary, where fans experience the magic of her timeless hits. From the moment she steps on stage, Reba weaves a musical tapestry that captivates her audience.
Awards and Achievements:
- Grammy Award Winner for the iconic “Whoever’s in New England.”
- An unstoppable force in country music, Reba has sold over 75 million records worldwide, solidifying her status as a true country icon.
Born and raised in Oklahoma, Reba’s journey began as a young girl, singing harmonies with her siblings as “The Singing McEntires.” They performed at local events, planting the seeds of what would become an extraordinary career. Her path led her to Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she studied to be a teacher while continuing to pursue her musical dreams.
Nashville Calling:
The turning point came when the talented Red Steagall discovered Reba’s enchanting voice at a rodeo event. Steagall’s belief in her potential led to a life-changing moment. With Steagall’s help, she secured a recording contract with PolyGram/Mercury Records in 1975, embarking on her journey to Nashville.
A Musical Evolution:
While her early years with PolyGram/Mercury Records saw moderate success, it was her transition to MCA Records in 1984 that marked a new chapter. “My Kind of Country” was a game-changer, bringing two number one Billboard country singles and a shift towards a more traditional musical style.
In 1991, tragedy struck when Reba lost eight of her band members in a plane crash, leading to her critically acclaimed album, “For My Broken Heart.” This profound experience inspired her highest-selling album to date.
The Artistic Chameleon:
Reba’s career isn’t limited to music; her versatility shines in the world of acting. From her film debut in “Tremors” to her role as Annie Oakley in the Broadway musical “Annie Get Your Gun,” she’s left an indelible mark.
In 2001, “Reba,” the TV series where she starred, graced our screens, and her recent venture as a coach on “The Voice” from 2023 onwards is a testament to her timeless appeal.
Reba’s life is a true embodiment of the American dream, a tale of family, love, and unwavering dedication. Her journey from the heart of Oklahoma to the epicenter of country music in Nashville is a testament to the power of dreams and the ability to transcend boundaries.

Reba McEntire talks new tour, TV show
Reba McEntire long ago eclipsed the profession of singer.
No doubt she earned her sobriquet as the queen of country music as she sits on a record of 57 Top 10 hits — 25 of them No. 1s — 26 studio albums and recent induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Not a bad showing for a 35-year career.
But in the past decade, the fiery redhead with the Oklahoma twang and Cheshire Cat grin has morphed into a brand, one that includes a six-year stint as a sitcom star (“Reba”), a successful turn as Annie Oakley on Broadway and a line of footwear, clothing and luggage stamped with her name.
She describes the look of her products as “tough sexy,” and it’s an attitude that carries into her current “All the Women I Am” tour, which pulls into Gwinnett Arena on Saturday.
In a recent conversation from a tour stop in Fort Wayne, Ind., McEntire spoke excitedly about the sets for the concert, created by stage designer Steve Cohen.
“I’m a cowgirl, but I also like to look nice,” McEntire said, punctuating her comments with a hearty chuckle. “Steve said, ‘I still don’t get it,’ so I finally said, ‘Ralph Lauren. I want it to look like that.’ When Kimberly [Perry of the Band Perry] first walked onstage during rehearsals, she looked at the set and said, ‘Ralph Lauren!’ He’s my idol. I have definitely studied him.”
Although McEntire is without a doubt the monarch of this tour, she’s sharing the bill with what she calls an “energetic, hard-working” supporting cast in the form of ultra-hot the Band Perry, Meghan Linsey of Steel Magnolia (sans partner Joshua Scott, currently in rehab) and Edens Edge.
The Band Perry, which broke an attendance record at the North Georgia State Fair in September with more than 10,000 attendees and recently saw its hit “If I Die Young” go triple platinum, especially impresses McEntire.
“They are beautiful people to look at, first of all. Kim is radiant and the guys are as cute as a button. I love to stand onstage and sing with them. They have a different sound and a different look that I just love,” she said.
As proof of her admiration, McEntire welcomes Kimberly Perry onstage each night to duet on “Does He Love You?”, the torrid duet of infidelity and crushed hearts that hit No. 1 for McEntire and Linda Davis in 1993.
Perry, meanwhile, is grateful for the opportunity to share the stage with the country powerhouse.
“It is just ... amazing. When I first started learning the song, I was like, ‘Oh my God, how am I going to learn this part?’ But I always wanted to be Celine Dion,” Perry said while in transit to the Indiana concert. “It’s been a blast, though. All of the facial interplay with Reba, it’s just great. ... Who would have ever thought I’d be sharing the stage with Reba McEntire?”
This isn’t McEntire’s first time sharing the spotlight. In 2007, she and Kelly Clarkson connected on a duet of the “American Idol” winner’s hit “Because of You,” and the pair followed it with a joint tour (Clarkson is also managed by McEntire’s husband, Narvel Blackstock).
While the twosome are still close friends — “We vacation together, we text, we go out and eat dinner a lot,” McEntire said — there wasn’t any joint involvement on Clarkson’s new album, “Stronger.”
Not that McEntire needs to add anything else to her to-do list.
She’s already had meetings about Christmas tree ornaments for her Reba line for the 2012 season and clothing styles to debut in March. In between her duties as an impresario, she’s fielding calls and reading dialogue for her upcoming ABC sitcom, “Malibu Country.”
“I was not finished with TV at all. We had so many more stories to tell,” McEntire said regarding her self-titled show that ran 2001-2007 on the now-defunct WB network. “Thank God for syndication!”
After a couple of years of sifting through scripts, McEntire never found “anything that really tripped my trigger.” But the circumstances surrounding “Malibu” were too fortuitous to ignore.
Her son, Brandon, was on a flight with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame and Stewart mentioned his idea for a sitcom he was thinking about proposing to Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.
When Brandon suggested his mother, Stewart was thrilled to learn she was no longer bound to another TV show, as he thought.
On paper, McEntire’s character sounds tailored expressly for the firebrand: She will play a country singer married to a fellow country singer who cheats on her. After divorcing, her character is forced to relocate to Malibu to escape the Nashville gossip.
“Fingers crossed,” McEntire said of plans to shoot the pilot in April with a fall 2012 pickup.
She promises she still has plenty of energy and another spin on TV won’t interfere with future music plans.
At 56, McEntire looks at least a decade younger, which she attributes to getting at least eight hours of sleep every night, eating healthily and exercising.
She also observes another credo: “I try to take the stress out of my life as much as possible.”

Exclusive: ‘The Voice’ Winner Asher HaVon Talks Being “Broken” and “Lost”, Reveals How Reba “Solidified” His Purpose in Life
by Erinn Callahan May 27, 2024, 1:34 pm
For many viewers, The Voice star Asher HaVon clinched the season 25 title after covering Beyoncé’s “Irreplaceable.” That’s certainly when coach John Legend knew , despite the fact that HaVon was on Reba McEntire’s team. “My dad texted me this week and said, ‘Asher is the Voice,’” the “Ordinary People” singer told him during the competition. However, for HaVon, victory was far from assured. In an exclusive interview with American Songwriter, the 31-year-old Selma, Alabama native opened up about the self-doubt that plagued him all season, — and how his coach helped him overcome it.
Videos by American Songwriter
Asher havon reveals he almost left ‘the voice’.
HaVon stunned viewers and coaches with his blind audition performance of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain.” Every coach turned their chair for him except John Legend. They had no idea HaVon hadn’t sung a note in two years. Compounding that, he was still struggling with the decision to live openly as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
“Going into the show, I was broken. I was so broke, and I was lost,” HaVon told American Songwriter’s Tina Benitez-Eves. “I was confused about what I was supposed to do, not understanding my destiny, even though for such a long time, I’ve been told, “You’re such a great singer.” But when it doesn’t happen, you think, ‘Maybe I’m not. Maybe I should do something else.’”
Reba’s big red chair was the last to turn for HaVon. The Queen of Country smiled at him—and that was all he needed.
“The validation that came when Reba turned her chair solidified my purpose and what I felt I was supposed to be doing—and that is singing,” HaVon told American Songwriter .

‘The Voice’ Winner Had His Church Backing Him
Throughout season 25, HaVon emphasized his Christian background. He got his start singing in church , after all. And The Voice’s first-ever openly LGBTQ+ winner recently shared his gratitude for his fellow churchgoers.
“They have really been there,” he said. “And so I gotta say thank you to them.”
HaVon moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in December 2023. However, he made it clear during his time on The Voice that he is proudly Selma, Alabama born and bred.
“I would not be here without Selma,” HaVon said in a promotional video for The Voice . “Selma has given me a foundation that I don’t believe I would have gotten anywhere else.”

Reba McEntire talks 59th ACM Awards show, country's global growth and its female stars
A s she prepares for her 17th appearance as host of the Academy of Country Music Awards show on May 16, Reba McEntire enters her fifth decade of relevance to country music's mainstream industry.
Impressively, at age 69, McEntire's output has not slowed, and her impact remains profound.
She's now a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry. However, in the past two decades, McEntire has completed six headlining arena tours, charted six Top 10 country radio singles, and released two-dozen compilations, EPs and studio albums. This is alongside appearing on Broadway, as a coach on "The Voice" and "America's Got Talent," developing a new sitcom ("Happy's Place," for NBC), opening a restaurant and releasing a cookbook.
Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.
"There's always a lot of attention on me," McEntire jokes while conversing with The Tennessean.
Shepherding country music's national and global relevance
"Hosting the ACM Awards grounds me by reminding me of how competitive country music (remains) but also acts like a family reunion where I can see my buddies and meet (my metaphorical) relatives and the babies that have been born since the last time the family got together."
McEntire was the 1994 ACM Entertainer of the Year and has won 16 ACM Awards overall, including her first victory in 1984. The "Fancy" vocalist first co-hosted the event in 1986 and last hosted it solo in Las Vegas in 2019.
The ACM Awards' recent entrenchment in the Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas, notes how the program whether held in Las Vegas or Los Angeles as in years past — has always reflected the breadth of country music's foundational hubs and its boom in national popularity.
McEntire, a native of McAlester, Oklahoma, about 150 miles north of Dallas, cites the "numerous" country music entertainers that the Sooner state and the "red dirt" area between Oklahoma and Texas have contributed to the genre.
However, the vocalist behind songs like 1986 ACM Country Music Video of the Year "Whoever's in New England" is quick to cite that while her roots are in Oklahoma, a decade into her career, America's Northeast wasn't just calling via that video but also via her fan club's membership spike in, of all places, Pennsylvania.
She's keen to note the genre's ability to adapt to technology that can grow its artists' appeal, highlighting the evolution since '80s-era music videos. McEntire believes the current era has created a moment where live-streaming an award show on Amazon is a novel strategy to globalize country music's popularity.
McEntire makes a fascinating historical note about unifying country music's century-long existence around the impact of African and European Americans creating and growing a sound that, at various points, has evolved to develop a multigenerational cycle defined by impact and re-inspiration.
Because that cycle is growing in tandem with social media and technology, McEntire "proudly" adds that "country music is broadly touching more diverse populations and types of sounds than ever."
Country's female stars are expanding a legacy
She offers a note that adds perspective to 2024's ACM Awards, and country music awards shows in general.
"The Academy of Country Music Awards offers an educated and well-versed summary of how the country music industry's (bottom-line) business (is impacted) by this growth," she says.
Four years into her mainstream career, McEntire had debuted on the Opry, saw her Jacky Ward duet "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" crack the Top 20 of country's charts and, by 1980, was nominated for the ACM's Top New Female Vocalist award as her album "Feel the Fire" included her first Top 10 hit, "(You Lift Me) Up to Heaven."
"I was thrilled to pieces to be nominated," she says.
Being nominated placed her in a direct line with female artists like Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette.
Extend that through 2024's six-time ACM Award nominee Megan Moroney, and the power of what the "Tennessee Orange" vocalist says she feels is the "honesty and vulnerability" of her songwriting, keying her success, gains greater resonance. Couple that with Lainey Wilson being given her 2023 ACM Female Artist of the Year award by Parton, her most significant musical inspiration, and a moment where country's legendary female lineage is extending becomes apparent.
Placed in context with a conversation with McEntire, the comments Wilson — who could be an ACM Triple Crown Award winner this year (New Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year) — made at 2023's ACM Awards have a greater impact:
"Sure there's pressure in this moment," Wilson said, "but I'm also very motivated now to keep on going. The award wins this year have increased my confidence in who I am, why I write, how I perform and how much I appreciate those who support me."
Consider that a Wilson Triple Crown would place her in the same conversation with other female Triple Crown winners Barbara Mandrell, the Chicks, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert.
McEntire considers one of her career's great honors is setting a standard that other names intrinsic in the moment many women in country's future could experience, including two with 18 Academy of Country Music Awards between them, Faith Hill and Trisha Yearwood.
"Striving to reach the epitome of female singers creates a warm positivity that causes those of us who have achieved that status to share our experiences, inspirations, and talents to continue to pave the way for up-and-coming stars," McEntire says.
The 59th Academy of Country Music Awards show is scheduled for May 16 at 7 p.m. CT, streaming live from Ford Center at the Star in Frisco , Texas, for a global audience on Amazon's Prime Video.
