  • Qatar Visa Application Process For Bangladeshi

Because of its beautiful architecture, high-end shopping, Fifa football world cup venues, and lively culture, Qatar is becoming a more and more popular destination for people all over the world. Bangladeshi peoples also want to explore what Qatar has to offer, mostly for work opportunities.

However, before setting Qatar in your mind, it is essential to comprehend the Qatar visa application process for Bangladeshi .

Types of Qatar Visa We Process

Here are the types of Qatar visas that are available for Bangladeshi citizens. Take a quick look at them:

Tourist Visa: This visa allows Bangladeshi citizens to visit Qatar for tourism reasons like sightseeing, visiting family or friends, or going to events. It is usually only valid for a short time, usually between a few days and a few weeks.

Business Visa: Bangladeshi residents who want to go to Qatar for business reasons like going to meetings, conferences, or looking for business opportunities can apply for a business visa. Depending on the reason for the visit, the visa can last anywhere from a few days to several months.

Work Permit Visa: If a Qatari company has offered you a job, you can apply for a work visa. This visa lets you live and work in Qatar for as long as your boss tells you to. Most of the time, the company pays for the work visa application.

Family Visit Visa: This visa is only issued to Bangladeshi individuals who have family members living in Qatar. The visa lets the person stay in Qatar for a short time to visit family. Most of the time, this visa is applied for by the visitor’s family member.

Student Visa: Students from Bangladesh who have been accepted to a school in Qatar can apply for a student visa. This visa lets them live in Qatar for as long as they are in school there.

Transit Visa: If you are changing flights in Qatar and need a transit visa, you may be able to get one. With this visa, you can stay in Qatar for a certain amount of time, usually up to 96 hours, before moving on with your trip.

Qatar Visa Application Process

To get a visa successfully, as an applicant, you should try your best to follow the visa application process properly. In this section, we will share the proper visa application guidelines. Do go through this:

Ready All the Papers: Make sure you have all the necessary documents. Such as your passport with a minimum of 6 months validity, properly filled visa application form, passport-sized photos, ticket itinerary, financial proof documents, hotel reservation and any other documents that you may need.

Select Your Visa Type : Qatar offers different types of visas. You should first determine which type of visa you need and then apply accordingly. Tourist visas, visit visas, business visas, student visas, and work visas are some of the most common types of Qatar visas.

Application Submission: Submitting the application is another major part of the Qatar visa Application process. After you have gathered all of your documents and applied them with authentic information, you will need to submit your visa application to the Qatar embassy in Bangladesh or at the consulate office.

Pay Visa Fee: While applying for the visa, you will need to pay a certain fee determined by the consulate office. You can pay for the visa at the embassy, port, or through the website. The amount of the visa fee varies based on which type of visa you require.

Interviews and collecting biometric data: Depending on the type of visa you are applying for and the rules of the embassy, an interview or collecting biometric data (like fingerprints) may be required. You will need to be prepared for this upon the call from the embassy.

Track Your  Application: Most embassies or consulates has an online system that lets you check on the progress of your visa application. This lets you when the visa will be ready for pickup.

Collect the Visa: Once your visa has been approved, you can get it at the embassy or port. Check the visa, including your name, passport number, and the dates it is valid for before you leave.

Qatar Visa Requirements

If you are a citizen of Bangladesh and want to visit Qatar, you must meet certain standards set by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate. If you know about these needs ahead of time, applying for a visa will go more smoothly. Here is a new point with a short list of what you need to do to get a Qatar visa:

Valid Passport: Your passport should have a minimum of 6 months validity beyond your intended stay in Qatar. There should also be at least one visa page that is blank.

Completed Visa Application Form: Fill out the visa application form accurately and with all the genuine information. Make sure to fill out all the important fields.

Recent Passport Size Photo: Attach to your visa application form a recent colour picture with a white background. The picture should be the right size and in the right format determined by the embassy.

Proof of trip Itinerary : Give a detailed trip itinerary that shows you have booked flights, hotels, and planned things to do in Qatar. This is very important for visas for tourists.

Proof of Financial Capability: Show proof that you have enough money to pay for your stay in Qatar. This can come in the form of bank records, letters from sponsors, or fixed deposits.

Letter of Invitation (if needed) : You may need a letter of invitation if you are being called by a person or group in Qatar. The letter should include information about the person who invited you, the reason for your visit, how long you will be staying, and, if necessary, a cash guarantee.

Employment or Education Documents (if needed): For some types of visas, like work visas or student visas, you may need extra documents like employment contracts, letters of acceptance, or enrollment badges.

Travel Insurance: Having insurance that covers your whole trip to Qatar is not required, but it is a good idea. This will protect you financially in case something unexpected happens.

Consular Fees: Pay the fees needed to get a visa. The amount of the fee may change based on the type of visa and length of stay.

Other Supporting Documents: Depending on the reason for your visit, you may need to provide other documents, such as a business invitation letter, confirmation of conference registration, or proof of family link (for family visits).

Bangladesh is a treasure trove of historical and natural tourist sites. It is home to incredible natural places, including the Sundarbans, one of the largest mangrove forests in the world, and Cox Bazar Beach, considered one of the largest continuous beaches in the world. There are several World Heritage Sites for tourists to explore, as well as plenty of beach resorts and opportunities for outdoor adventures.

Foreign nationals from the following countries are required to apply for a Bangladesh visa, before traveling to Bangladesh:

Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Macao, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestinian Territories, Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Yemen.

Other foreign nationals can obtain a visa on arrival if they:

  • Are from a country that does not have a Bangladeshi embassy or consulate.
  • Have Bangladeshi origins.
  • Hold a diplomatic or official passport or are involved in the UN or another international organization.

Tourists of Bangladeshi origin (except those from SAARC countries) can apply for a No Visa Required (NVR) sticker that is placed inside their passports.

The Bangladeshi tourist visa is intended specifically for tourism purposes. This includes casual visits to friends and family, conferences and workshops, religious purposes, and cultural events. Other activities are prohibited to holders of a tourist visa.

Holders of a tourist visa are issued a single-entry visa with a validity period of three months. They are only eligible to stay for those three months. Extensions of up to one month may be obtained from the Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP) in the city of Dhaka.

It’s important to note that the visa validity period starts from the date of issue, not the date of travel on the application form.

Bangladesh Tourist Visa Requirements

Applicants for the Bangladesh tourist visa must meet the basic requirements for their visa application to be processed. All applicants must submit the following documents:

The applicant should hold a passport valid for at least 6 months before their travel date and make a clear copy of the photo page.

The applicant is required to submit two recent personal photos, taken within the last 6 months against a white background.

The visa application form must be completed and signed in accordance with the guidelines.

  • The applicant may submit either an invitation letter from an individual with a copy of the invitee’s Bangladeshi passport or National ID card or a letter from a Bangladeshi organization.
  • Alternatively, a hotel booking confirmation or another proof of accommodation can be used instead of an invitation letter.

Applicants must prove they are able to support themselves for the duration of their stay in Bangladesh.

Return tickets must be from an accredited airline and clearly show the date of departure falling within the validity period of the applicant’s tourist visa.

Applying for a Bangladesh tourist visa can be completed by following a few straightforward steps:

The visa application form should be completed and signed to be submitted to the nearest embassy or consulate. Foreign missions in certain countries allow applicants to fill out and submit the form online . Once submitted, applicants can then print the form to include with their application materials.

Applicants should schedule and attend a visa appointment at the Philippines embassy or consulate to submit their application materials.

At the visa appointment, applicants will submit the required documents and the printed application form. Visa fee payment methods may vary depending on the location of the embassy or consulate.

Once the application is submitted, the Bangladeshi immigration officials will process the visa. If successful, the applicant will pick up their passport with the new tourist visa stuck inside on a blank page.

The visa processing fee for a Bangladesh visa will vary depending on the nationality of the applicant and the number of entries they would like their visa to allow. Single, double, and multiple entry visas will all have different rates for processing. The visa application fee is non-refundable even if the visa application is refused.

Most foreign nationals will apply for their tourist visa at the nearest Bangladeshi embassy or consulate. Some other nationals can obtain a visa on arrival at the border in Bangladesh.

The processing time for each Bangladeshi tourist visa will vary depending on the complexity of the visa application and the individual’s situation. It may also depend on the visa type and where the applicant submits their application. In most cases, the processing time will be around seven working days.

If the Bangladeshi tourist visa has been approved, the applicant will be notified to return to the embassy or consulate to retrieve their passport with the visa stuck inside.

If applying by post, the passport will be mailed back to the applicant with the visa inside.

In some instances, a Bangladesh tourist visa can be extended for up to one month. Tourists who wish to extend their visa must contact the Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

A Bangladesh tourist visa is a travel document that allows the holder to enter the country for a single entry and stay for up to three months. It is usually issued as a sticker visa.

A Bangladesh tourist visa will vary in cost depending on the nationality of the applicant and the number of entries they would like their visa to allow.

In most cases, the processing time for a  Bangladesh tourist visa will be around seven working days.

Applications are usually submitted by post or in person at the nearest embassy or consulate. Applicants should be sure to check the guidelines for their unique situation before proceeding with the application process.

Enjoy an experience like no other while cruising Sadarghat in Dhaka. You can explore from a small boat the Sadarghat river and enjoy Bangladesh at its best. However, if you wish to use something more touristy and economical, you can embark on the 3-towered ferries that travel along the river.

On the banks, you can find children and adults fishing with homemade nets. It is quite a unique experience to ride on a tourist boat and watch locals going about their daily chores and maintaining the tradition and culture of the place.

Throughout your tour, you will not only see small villages on the banks of the river, but you can also observe several animals in total freedom, from lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, as well as a variety of plants and birds, traditional of the country.

As part of the tour, the boat will make stops at different points of the river so you can go down and interact with the locals. In these villages, you can taste the traditional gastronomy, drink typical local beverages, and buy handicrafts from local artisans.
