An Oman tourist visa for Indians allows for a single entry that too for travel purposes. A tourist visa holder can stay for one month in Oman which can be extended, on grounds of various reasons. An Oman tourist visa   allows only one trip per tourist visa for an individual. Multiple trips to Oman on a single tourist visa are not allowed. In case a tourist visa expires and the tourist is still residing in the country then the individual has to pay a fine on a per day basis.

What is the processing time for an Oman Visa?

If you are planning to book an  Oman tour package  or visit Oman for any other purpose then the visa application process must be started before you start your journey. For this, you can check whether you fall into the category of visit visa or resident visa as listed above. However, the visa is processed only after the completion of the application form, detailed verification and successful payment. The processing time may also depend upon the urgency of the visa and may vary from website to website.

In general, a basic Oman visa process for Indiansmay take up to 2-15 days to process the visa while an express visa takes much lesser time. However, a work visa can take up a variable time limit as it depends upon various other factors like the company sponsoring the visa, educational qualifications. Is the Oman visa for Indian citizens available in Muscat?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. Indian nationals can no longer get a visa on arrival at Muscat International Airport in Oman. Indian passport holders that want to go to Oman need to apply for a visa before they travel. There are two visa types for Indian travelers: a tourist visa and a visa for those who are GCC residents.

Indian nationals with tourism purposes need an Oman visa. You can apply for this visa at the nearest Indian embassy. The same goes for a student visa, work visa, or other visa types. However, if you are an Indian passport holder living in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, or UAE, you can obtain an Oman GCC Resident eVisa .

This online visa is specifically for those that have a resident card of one of the GCC countries. Read more below about how to apply for the GCC visa .

Even with US, UK visas, online UAE entry permit must for Indians

Observer Web Team

Muscat: Indian passport holders with a US green card, and UK or EU residence visa now need to apply for a pre-approved UAE visa online before traveling to Dubai.

There has been a recent change in the visa process for Indian passport holders traveling to Dubai.

Previously, certain eligible Indians could obtain a pre-approved visa on arrival in the UAE. However, under the new regulations, these individuals must now apply for the visa online before their trip.

This new requirement applies to Indian citizens with ordinary passports who hold a valid US green card, or residence visa from the UK or EU countries. These individuals were previously eligible for a pre-approved visa on arrival for a 14-day stay in Dubai, with the option for a single 14-day extension.

The pre-approved visa-on-arrival option is no longer available. Now, eligible travelers must apply for the visa electronically through the official channels before their departure to Dubai.

While the process has shifted online, the visa itself remains a single-entry, 14-day permit with the possibility of a single extension.

Applying online streamlines the process and avoids potential delays or issues upon arrival in Dubai

Visa can be applied at the official website of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).

Travelers should fill out the application by providing the required details and pay an application fee of AED 253. After the visa is approved, the applicant will receive it via email, hopefully within 48 hours.
