Nautica’s Voyage is a lightly-scented Eau De Toilette, and in my experience, it’s one of the top colognes women love . The high notes include greenery (in the form of both leaves and lotus) mixed with green apples, while the cedarwood in the base reinforces the fruity smell.

Why it’s great : Voyage is Nautica ’s highlight smell and with good reason. Apple is a pleasant scent, natural and sweet without being too overpowering in nearly any situation. There’s a reason that apple juice is the base for many mixed-fruit drinks. Meanwhile, the light concentration means this perfume can avoid becoming too overpowering even if you wear it all day.

Who is this for? : Nautica prices this reasonably for a perfume. I’ve seen much higher price tags for smaller bottles of weaker scents, so I usually feel like I’m getting a bargain whenever I’m picking this up. Nautica sells it in several sizes, including a larger 6.7 fluid-ounce container if you want to get it in bulk.

Flaws but not deal-breakers : I think this is one of the best woody colognes . Fruit and wood smells go together in the wilderness, so they work on a fundamental level. However, some people find this sort of scent a turn-off. Know your audience.

Nautica’s Classic fragrance is a comfortably sized spray bottle with a range of floral and tree scents to it. Beyond the top notes above, it features coriander, neroli, and lemon. I find that the higher notes complement the subtler ones well, melding together into a final, pleasant style.

Why it’s great : Scent aside, the real reason to consider this perfume is its price. The Classic is one of Nautica ’s most affordable products, despite the overall quality. I think it’s one of the best sandalwood colognes , which is rather high praise considering how common sandalwood is in perfumes.

Who is this for? : That said, the one note that truly stands out to me is the cinnamon. In my experience, that’s kind of a love-it-or-hate-it smell (and flavor), by which I mean that most people like it or don’t. I think you’ll enjoy this cologne if you like cinnamon, but consider other options on this list if you don’t.

You’ll usually find this Nautica cologne in 3.4-ounce containers, which is a common size for perfumes. The scent should last a full day with about five sprays, even with heavy exercise. Expect it to be stronger right when you use it but to quickly settle into something better throughout the day.

Flaws but not deal-breakers : Five sprays is a lot, to some people. Keep that in mind if you’re aiming for all-day coverage.

This perfume is the only Nautica cologne that I didn’t pick with my criteria, and here’s why. I’ve handled perfumes and smells for most of my life, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the customer is always right in matters of taste. Overall product quality matters significantly less than whether someone likes it or not, so by public vote, this is the best of the best Nautica colognes.

Why it’s great : That’s why I decided to balance my own opinions with the public’s choice. Nautica ’s Blue cologne is one of the best overall choices, as evidenced by maintaining an exceptionally high rating on Amazon after more than 24,000 reviews. It’s one thing to distrust a high score with only a few reviews, but this is well past the point of doubt.

Even better, Nautica offers the Blue scent in a range of sizes, from a 0.5-ounce sampler to a more traditional 3.4-ounce pack (the standard volume for most bottles). Although it’s not quite as budget-friendly as the Classic, it’s close to their other products and usually stays in an affordable range.

Who is this for? : If you’re not sure which product to get, I suggest Blue. Most people enjoy the mix of sandalwood and pineapple as the main notes, and the sampler bottle is a great way to test its scent at minimal investment. I like the Voyage better, but it’s almost impossible to go wrong with the Blue.

Flaws but not deal-breakers : The one possible downside of such a popular perfume is that you won’t be the only one in the room wearing it. If this bothers you, then perhaps consider going with something still distinctive but possibly less hot-thing-of-the-moment.

Best Smelling: Nautica Voyage N-83

Don’t confuse the N-83 with the regular Voyage, as they have significantly different smells. A few things stand out about these bottles compared to the others I’ve discussed, but I want to call attention to the base notes. It’s one thing to look for the best musk cologne , but it’s unusual to see a single perfume also add cedarwood and sandalwood to musk.

The reason Nautica does this is that the N-83 is a significantly more aquatic scent than the regular Voyage. Although my overall favorite has a pleasantly sweet aroma, the N-83 is saltier and smells much more like the ocean. If I’m being honest, I think I like it because I grew up near the coast, so it smells familiar to me.

Why it’s great : The N-83 is relatively light for a perfume, with a milder overall scent than the regular Voyage. I think gentler scents work better than something overpowering, and the result is one of Nautica ’s finest-smelling colognes.

Who is this for? : As I said, though, this is mainly a matter of personal preference. Everyone has their own opinion on what smells best, so I suggest trying the smallest sizes of several products on this list, then choosing one to stick with.

Flaws but not deal-breakers : As with a woody smell, the smell of the sea is not to everyone’s liking. Again, consider your audience.

It’s one of the mildest colognes on the list, with a primarily earthy and salty scent balanced out by the hint of grapefruit in the top notes.

Voyage is my top choice from the best Nautica perfumes, and easily one of the best colognes under $50 , so it’s probably no surprise that my favorite cologne set features it. This two-pack contains a regular Eau de Toilette bottle alongside the same scent in a six-ounce body spray.

Why it’s great : Now, for those who aren’t familiar with these products, the main use of cologne is smelling good. In contrast, body sprays help stop bad smells. A good body spray will have chemicals that limit sweating, and in this case, it reinforces the cologne to provide a better overall smell.

Who is this for? : Some people don’t need body sprays ; others do. Factors like lifestyle, genetics, and environment affect your natural smell. If you use body spray, I can’t recommend this set enough.

Flaws but not deal-breakers : The set contains both spray and body spray; if you or the person you’re buying for doesn’t use body spray, then maybe consider buying just the spray.

As is the case with the Voyage N-83, Nautica ’s Midnight Voyage is less like the original Voyage than you might expect from the packaging. All of its main notes are different.

Why it’s great : The most accurate way I can describe this cologne is an earthier, somewhat more intense version of the Voyage. I instantly notice the difference when comparing them side-by-side, and this may be a good choice if you think the regular Voyage is too light or fruity.

Who is this for? : Midnight Voyage is one of the best long-lasting colognes, making it ideal if you expect to be out for most of the day.

Flaws but not deal-breakers : However, this cologne is half the size of most of Nautica ’s products while being significantly more expensive at the same time. Midnight Voyage is essentially a premium fragrance, better for special occasions than everyday wear. It’s not absurd by industry standards, but this is worth mentioning in case you’re on a budget.

Nautica has created plenty of men’s fragrances which are quite good and also fit into the theme of the oceanic/aquatic lifestyle. What is great about the company is that it offers men some great colognes at a very inexpensive price point.

What are the Best Nautica Fragrances for Men?

Best overall nautica cologne.

Voyage features notes of mimosa, apple, oak moss, musk, lotus, amber, and cedar. This cologne is less oceanic than the other scents that come out from Nautica and Voyage starts out with that crisp apple note, a floral mimosa, and the ubiquitous musk.

It’s a rather cold or chilled start, with an aroma that reminds one of dew or cucumber. Then, as it settles down dry oak moss and cedar start to come through with the apple top note, and add a masculine outdoorsy aspect to the composition.

You get a scent that is quite green, fresh, woodsy, with a pinch of salt underneath. Voyage is the best selling and most popular scent from Nautica. I still don’t think that they’ve managed to top this one, in all the years after its initial release.  My Full Review

Best New Release

Nautica Midnight Voyage – Ever since the original Voyage came out, the brand has put out a ton of flanker fragrances which share the name. However, most of them have either been mediocre in terms of smell or performance.

Enter Midnight Voyage. Right off the bat, I can tell you that it’s another one, that presents itself sort of like Dior Sauvage . Almost every brand has their own version of a cologne laden with amber or ambroxan, to capitalize off its success.

Midnight Voyage doesn’t smell all that much like Sauvage, but it is in the same neighborhood. It definitely has elements of the original Voyage’s DNA, but also the mint note of Voyage Heritage (which wasn’t a great scent, it could’ve been).

Midnight uses mint, amber, and pink peppercorn to give it a fresh and somewhat spicy profile. However, you do get that summertime and nautical vibe, from other notes that are unlisted. Maybe some light citrus? Smooth and it actually has decent performance.

Top Woodsy/Floral

The lavender and pink pepper seem to be the most prominent notes that stand out, with some additional floral notes, to round things out. It can actually be kind of tough to distinguish between these ingredients, but overall it does have a refreshing and somewhat spicy scent.

Longevity could definitely use some work, but the aroma itself is nice. White Sail has been discontinued for a while, but you can still come across bottles online, even if it is getting tougher. This does have a different vibe, from the rest of the Nautica offerings, though, still deserves a spot on the list.

Sporty Aquatic Soapy

The pineapple and peach can be sharp at the start, but with the dry down it is more of a sporty aquatic and the fruit notes are much more tempered than they had been previously. The musk here is light and the whole composition is sunny and relaxed.

It isn’t a jump out at you type of cologne where you will be amazed by its unique scent. However, it is very solid, smells good, and can be had at a great price.

I personally feel, that the quality has taken a big hit since the 1990s, but it can be a worthwhile cheapie to pick up for some. It’s gotten more detergent-like and less pleasing. Though, I’d definitely go with one of the others before this. Read my review here

Top Classic Clean and Oceanic Fragrance

Nautica is a soft men’s cologne with oceanic elements but the sandalwood and cedar give it an outdoorsy base to start from. The citrus notes are bright and clean, but understated, which makes this a nice freshening spray on those days when the temperature starts to rise.

There used to be more of a spice to Nautica cologne, in the older bottles of this scent, but doesn’t seem to have that same little kick it once did. Nautica classic does however, deliver the type of aroma you would expect from the themes of this brand.

Most Underrated Scent and Top Summer Pick

Island Voyage is fresh and pleasant all around with melon and citrus top notes. This might be the most underrated or unknown of the Nautica colognes, but it should’ve been more popular.

It’s got a chilled juiciness at the start and later a pepper note emerges to give the scent a somewhat spicier disposition.

Island Voyage is more aquatic than the original Voyage and the lemon and melon combo give it a better opening, in my mind. There is also the usual lavender and a nice touch of iris during the dry down. This is another summertime wear for the daytime and really does a nice job of separating itself from the ever popular Voyage.

Colombian president orders opening of an embassy in the Palestinian city of Ramallah

Colombian President Gustavo Petro ordered the opening of an embassy in the Palestinian city of Ramallah, Foreign Minister Luis Gilberto Murillo said Wednesday.

Murillo told reporters the move is part of the foreign policy objective Petro is promoting together with other governments to recognize a Palestinian state.

“Colombia had already recognized Palestine as a state in previous governments, in the government of President (Juan Manuel) Santos, and President Petro has given the instruction that we install the Colombian embassy in Ramallah, the Colombian representation in Ramallah. That is the next step we are going to take,” he said.

The announcement was made hours after Spain, Ireland and Norway said they would recognize a Palestinian state , and weeks after Petro announced that Colombia would break diplomatic relations with Israel over its actions in Gaza.

Murillo reiterated Wednesday that Colombia condemns the aggressions of Hamas, but rejects Israel's response. He also argued that the intention to open an embassy in Ramallah is not a measure against Israel but rather in favor of the two states.

“More and more countries are going to recognize Palestine, and this is nothing against Israel or the people of Israel or the Jews, but rather the United Nations agreed, in the context of the Oslo Accords, to create a two-state solution. And so, if you need two states, you obviously require that Palestine be recognized as a full state,” he said. 

It's unclear when a Colombian embassy in Ramallah would open and what steps would need to be taken to do so.

CNN has reached out to the Israeli embassy in Colombia for comment.

Spain, Norway and Ireland on Wednesday announced plans to formally  recognize a Palestinian state .

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the countries of supporting terror and Foreign Minister Israel Katz ordered the immediate recall of its ambassadors from those countries.

The recognition will come into force on May 28.

Irish Foreign Minister Micheál Martin said Ireland's decision followed " growing impatience " with Israel's lack of political will for a two-state solution.

• Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, in a call with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, reiterated the US's objections to the International Criminal Court seeking arrest warrants for Israeli leaders. He also "encouraged the Israeli government to conclude talks with Egypt to reopen Rafah Crossing and resume the flow of aid from Egypt through Kerem Shalom,"according to a readout from the Defense Department.

Congressional leaders working on date for Netanyahu to address lawmakers

House Speaker Mike Johnson said he spoke to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this afternoon and they are working to coordinate a date for the Israeli leader to give a joint address to Congress.

“Our formal letter will go out this week. And I'm happy to tell you that I think Chuck Schumer will be co-signing the letter that's been a long time awaited, we've been awaiting that for since mid-March. But I think he'll sign on now. And then we'll find a time that's convenient for the prime minister and we're happy to host him,” Johnson told reporters. 

Israel is considering further diplomatic steps against Norway, Ireland and Spain, source says

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs is considering further diplomatic steps against Norway, Ireland and Spain after they declared their intention to recognize a Palestinian state, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Steps under consideration include canceling visits by officials from these countries to Israel and revoking visas from the countries' diplomats, which would limit their ability to visit areas in the West Bank under the control of the Palestinian Authority.

Israel is also considering reaching out to the United States to seek diplomatic support in providing clarification from Norway, Ireland and Spain on their intended decision, and to ask the US to try and convince other countries not to follow suit.

11 Palestinians killed by Israeli military in West Bank city of Jenin, officials say

An Israeli military operation in the West Bank city of Jenin killed at least 11 Palestinian people, according to an updated death toll from officials.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah said Israelis killed 10 Palestinians, adding that 25 people have been injured, with four of them injured seriously.

In addition, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said crews recovered one more dead person from Haifa Street in Jenin after receiving a report of injuries.

The PRCS said the victim was taken to the hospital and that the area around Haifa Street site was being searched for other possible victims.

Since October 7 of last year, 517 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank and Jerusalem, according to Palestinian officials.

Decision on Palestinian recognition followed "growing impatience" with Israel, Irish foreign minister says

Ireland's decision to formally recognize a Palestinian state came amid "growing impatience" with Israel's lack of political will for a two-state solution, the country's Foreign Minister Micheál Martin said Wednesday. 

"The integrity of that two-state solution has been undermined in recent years by the strategy of the Israeli government and, particularly, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has declared opposition to it," Martin told CNN's Richard Quest.

Martin also said that Netanyahu "hasn't really dealt with the violent settlers" in the West Bank, who continue to attack Palestinians. 

"There is a growing impatience with the lack of any political will on behalf of Israel toward a political track and toward realizing that in our view, a two-state solution is the only way that Israelis and Palestinians can live in harmony side by side," he added. "There cannot just be a military solution to such a complex issue."

Martin acknowledged however, that within the European Union "there are different perspectives on this, some for historic reasons," but "there are a lot of like-minded states within the European Union that have been engaged on this issue." 

Alongside Ireland, Spain and Norway also announced plans on Wednesday to  formally recognize a Palestinian state  next week.

US House speaker says he will talk with Netanyahu as he weighs response to ICC

US House Speaker Mike Johnson is set to speak with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday, days after the International Criminal Court announced it is seeking an arrest warrant for the Israeli leader.

Ahead of the call, Johnson said he spoke with Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and agreed to sign the invitation for Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress. 

Johnson said House Republican leaders are getting down to the “fine points” on how to respond to the ICC. Johnson confirmed Monday they were looking at sanctions in response to the decision.

“Very clearly, this is a great threat to the international community and to our allies, and to us, ultimately, as explained earlier, so we're getting down to the fine points of that. And hopefully it will be a bipartisan bill and that everybody will be able to stand together on that. I think we need to start to send a strong message to the world that this is completely, wildly inappropriate, and we're not going to stand for it," Johnson said.

Meanwhile, GOP Rep. Michael McCaul, the House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman, said he plans to speak with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday about legislation to sanction the international tribunal.

Remember: The ICC is seeking arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant , as well as three Hamas leaders: Yahya Sinwar , Mohammed Diab Ibrahim al-Masri, the leader of the Al Qassem Brigades who is better known as Mohammed Deif, and Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas’ political leader.

Top White House aide acknowledges concern about Israel’s growing diplomatic isolation

A top White House aide acknowledged concern on Wednesday about Israel’s potentially growing diplomatic isolation amid its latest spat with several European countries after they moved to recognize a Palestinian state. 

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said that the situation raises concern for Israel's security.

“I think it's a fair question. As a country that stands strong in defense of Israel in international forums like the United Nations, we certainly have seen a growing chorus of voices, including voices that had previously been in support of Israel drift in another direction,” Sullivan said. “That is of concern to us because we do not believe that that contributes to Israel's long term security or vitality.”

Sullivan, who travelled to Israel and other countries in the Middle East this past weekend, said that it was an issue that he discussed with the Israeli government. 

“That's something that we discussed with the Israeli government and something that we believe that a strategic approach to defeating Hamas, protecting civilians surging humanitarian assistance, and then pursuing that vision of regional integration I just talked about, will put Israel in the best stead to engage countries around the world and revitalize a lot of the partnerships and friendships that have been a source of great strength for Israel overtime and can be again," Sullivan said.

Decision to recognize Palestinian statehood does not reward Hamas, Norwegian foreign minister says

Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide rejected Israel's characterization that the decision to recognize Palestinian statehood rewards Hamas .

“We’re a friend of Israel. We want to remain a good partner with Israel, but we also make our own decisions based on what we think is right," Eide told CNN's Becky Anderson during an interview Wednesday. 

The recognition of a Palestinian state will come into force in Norway, along with Ireland and Spain, on May 28.

Eide called remarks from Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz — who said the decision awards "a gold medal" to Hamas — "absolutely wrong."

"We are sending the opposite signal," Eide said. "We are supporting the Palestine Authorities which spring out of the PLO [Palestine Liberation Organization], who renounce violence and who many decades ago promised to leave the violent struggle behind and work for peaceful settlement with Israel—a promise they have kept by the way."

The foreign minister also called the move "an anti-Hamas measure."

“What we are strengthening are the forces in the region and in Palestine who believe in peace with Israel and who detest the work of Iran and its proxies, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis," he added.
