I initially booked this hotel assuming it was in the city center so I felt a little annoyed with myself when I arrived. The hotel itself it located down a little street next to the main train station Gare Dr Tours. It's a 10 min walk into the town center. My room was huge and it had a separate toilet and bathroom. It's an older property but the staff were great. Very friendly and helpful. I stayed there for 2 nights and was really happy. They even tolerated my tragic attempt at speaking French. Merci beaucoup!

Por poner un "pero" a un hotel de cuatro estrellas, los habituales juegos de champú, gel, etc., han sido sustituidos por un único y vulgar bote de apretar para que salga el producto

No cumple con los servicios mínimos que debería tener un hotel. El aire acondicionado es un interruptor de encendido y apagado con velocidad 1 o 2, que no enfría nada. Pasamos muchísimo calor en la habitación y pasamos muchísimo calor en el resto del hotel. En el desayuno la gente estaba sudando. No es normal. El desayuno es escaso y deficiente. Malísimo. No salgo se mi asombro con el sistema que tienen de zumos naturales. Tienes que hacer tú el zumo en un exprimidor como los de casa pero más grande, en un espacio muy reducido, cortando las naranjas y exprimiendo con una mano y con la otra sujetando el vaso. Bueno, parece una broma. En cuanto a la variedad del desayuno, y teniendo en cuenta que hemos estado ya en muchos Mercure, en ninguno he visto un desayuno más malo, es malísimo. Los productos de la zona eran pan industrial de una calidad pésima. No tienen caja de seguridad en la habitación. No nos subieron hielo, ni nos dieron la opción de ir a buscarlo al bar, ni siquiera de pagarlo. La nevera de la habitación no enfriaba absolutamente nada y yo llevo una medicación que tiene que estar en frío. Para evitar sorpresas, suelo llevar una nevera de camping que puedo usar para la medicación si tengo hielo. Se lo explique a las personas de la recepción y me dijeron que estaban descongelando el congelador y no tenían hielo. Eso me lo dijeron las dos noches que estuvimos allí. La verdad es que la primera vez no me lo creí, pero la segunda noche, confirmaron lo que me imaginaba. No les da la gana de subirte hielo. Así que para que la medicación no se me estropease, tuvimos que ir a buscar hielo las 23.00 de la noche por Tours adelante. Plan súper romántico para una luna de miel. Creo que este punto es el mas inaceptable de todo lo que nos hemos encontrado allí. Las habitaciones están viejas y las partes comunes del Hotel están sucias. Lo único positivo del hotel es que la habitación, al menos la que nos dieron a nosotros, estaba limpia. Este hotel es lamentable en general, caro y de calidad muy por debajo de otros Mercure en los que hemos estado. Hotel a evitar absolutamente.

Me hospedé por cuatro noches en el hotel habiéndome hospedado la noche anterior en otro Mercure (Périgueux). No pude evitar comparar ambos y el de Tours no es un cuatro estrellas. Las habitaciones son anticuadas y están pidiendo a gritos una reforma. Me hospedé en la habitación 201 y el mueble del minibar estaba vacío. Tuve que utilizar la heladera de familiares que estaban en otra habitación y que sí tenían. Solo cuenta con dos elevadores por lo que la espera en horas de mucho flujo de huéspedes (cómo el desayuno o check out) puede hacerse larga.

Muy cerca de la estación de trenes. Muy bien ubicado. Excelente atenciòn. Desayuno muy completo, abundante y variado. Cerca de los lugares turísticos. Habitaciones muy espaciosas y completas. Muy buena experiencia.
