• Bellagio.  We visit the charming hilltop town of Bellagio on our tour of  Lake Como, the Italian Riviera & Venice  for a reason! Bellagio is right on the tip of land where the two “branches” of the lake come together and has earned its title as the Pearl of Lake Como. It’s famous for its villas along the water, narrow cobblestone pathways, and boutiques selling local food, perfumes, leather goods, and keepsakes.
• Villa Carlotta.  Located in the town of Tremezzina, right across the lake from Bellagio, this impressive 17-acre property features ornate gardens, an on-site museum, and sweeping views of Lake Como.
• The Como-Brunate Funicular.  Want to keep soaking in gorgeous views of the lake? Look no further than the funicular railway that connects the city of Como with the village of Brunate. It made its first journey in 1894; today it runs dozens of times daily for tourists and locals alike.
• Forte di Fuentes.  If you’re a history buff, these hilltop ruins—among the few remains of Spanish domination in this area—are a must-see.
• Villa del Balbianello.  Consisting of two residential buildings, a church, a terrace, and elaborate gardens, this spot has made cameos in many famous films. Head inside during your free time while on tour in Lake Como and you’ll be surrounded by sculptures, artifacts, and glass paintings.

• Polenta.  This dish originated in Lombardy (the region of Italy where Lake Como is located) and is a must-try. Polenta is boiled cornmeal that can be served hot and creamy, or as a loaf once it has had time to solidify. It has a mild flavor, so is often topped with delicious cheese, cooked vegetables, and sauces.
• Risotto alla Milanesa.  This simple yet sophisticated dish gets its bold yellow color from the addition of saffron.
• Tortelli di zucca.  This pumpkin-stuffed pasta dish is available year-round in the Lombardy region of Italy. Made with fresh pumpkin puree, a blend of spices, Parmesan, crushed amaretti biscuits, and candied fruits, this delicate balance of sweet and savory is what makes the dish unique.
• Torrone.  You will find that nougat is a popular dessert or snack in many European countries. The Lombardy region is known for its “Torrone di Cremona.” There’s even a celebration in Cremona in honor of this sweet treat made with honey, almonds, and vanilla.
• Panettone.  Filled with candied fruit, almonds, and honey, this festive bread is usually served around Christmastime in Italy. You can find it at European Christmas markets, but be sure you try it while you’re in Lombardy, where it originated.
• Gelato.  If you ask us, no trip to Italy is complete with a cone or cup teeming with this beloved Italian treat. Staffer Claudia recalls, “When summer starts, there are so many gelaterias to choose from… Don’t forget to add a delicious waffle cookie to the gelato of your choice!”

Here follows our suggested itinerary but let us know your preference and we will customize it. Would you like to spend the day on the boat sunbathing and swimming? Would you prefer to skip Bellagio and go for a lesser-known village? Would you like to have a luxurious Riva speedboat for your special day? Just ask!

Take a private cruise on an open-top Venetian taxi. Relax while cruising the western branch of the lake, admiring the spectacular mountains. The coast is dotted with elegant villas, each with a story to tell. Our friendly and professional English-speaking tour guide will be there to add all the details you will want to hear.

Disembark at Villa del Balbianello for a guided visit, a real gem not to be missed. As an alternative, you may visit Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo, with its stunning gardens. The choice shall need to be made upon reservation (Villa del Balbianello is closed on Mon and Wed).

After visiting the villa and its gardens, cruise onwards to the restaurant we chose together for your lunch.

Visit the town of Bellagio , called the “Pearl of the Lake“. Maybe enjoy some shopping or walk in the botanical gardens of Villa Melzi , adorned with classical statues and rare, exotic plants.

Later in the afternoon, our private water taxi will bring you back to the departure location.

What should I bring and know?

• While in Italy you should always carry an ID card with you. When taking a boat tour in particular, at least one person in the group must carry his/her passport or ID or a copy or a picture. If failing this requirement, boarding might be denied.
• Bring a Water Bottle , alternatively you can purchase one near the meeting point ​
• Private boats do now allow bringing your own food and drinks on board , except for a bottle of water.
• Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes 
• Sun hat and sun screen are strongly recommended in summer months
• The tour runs rain or shine. ​ If rain is forecast, bring an umbrella , as you will be outside for most of the tour
• Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking

• No pets allowed

What is your cancellation policy?

• SHARED TOURS: full payment within 15 days before tour date. Full refund until 72 hours before departure time.
• PRIVATE TOURS: 10% non-refundable service fee at confirmation. 90% payment 15 days before tour. Full refund (excluding service fee) until 15 days prior to tour/itinerary start. No refund thereafter.
• No refunds if you do not turn up for the tour (no-show) (our tours start promptly, the guide shall not be able to linger)
• ​If you need to reschedule your booked tour we will do our best to accommodate your request . Please contact us directly by  email . In case we cannot meet your needs and you decide to cancel, no refund shall be given for tours that are cancelled with less than 72 hours notice in case of shared tours and 15 days in case of private tours. 
• Tours and activities take place rain or shine. If one of our suppliers cancels (i.e. boat), we will do our best to propose an alternative solution. Full refunds will not be guaranteed in case the alternative is not accepted, as some services (i.e. guide, car) might still be due remuneration.
• Some tours may require a fixed deposit in order to purchase tickets in advance. We will let you know case by case once we receive your request.
•   A 4% credit card fee will be applied to cc payments. Credit card fees are not refundable.
•   We encourage travel insurance for all trips.
