The Wilson sisters are back.

After the rock icons celebrated their 50th year as a band with a comeback show on New Year's Eve, Heart are heading back on the road.

Prior to their recent reunion, Ann and Nancy Wilson last played together as a full band in 2016, with a reported dispute between the sisters keeping them apart.

Any rumours of a rift have firmly been put to bed with the announcement of a world tour in 2024 however.

The influential rockers behind classic tracks like 'Crazy On You', 'Barracuda', and 'Alone' have confirmed the Royal Flush tour will see them play huge shows across the UK, Europe, and North America.

For their UK leg of concerts, Heart will be joined by none other than Squeeze as their main support act.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will head to Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Glasgow, and of course London for their shows with Squeeze .

Excited to announce the Royal Flush Tour 2024 with special guests @cheaptrick on select North American dates and @squeezeofficial in the UK! Artist presale begins this Wednesday (10am) using code: DREAMS. Tickets go on sale Friday, at 10am at  https://t.co/SRno9CL7LR . "We're excited and all geared up to hit the road in 2024 to perform for our devoted fans," Heart singer Ann Wilson said in an accompanying press statement.

"The exceptional talent of the band - Ryan, Ryan, Paul, Tony and Sean - brings a whole new level of energy to Heart’s live performance."

Her sister and iconic guitarist Nancy Wilson added: "I am incredibly proud of the show that our band has crafted and am looking forward to reconnecting with our fans."

"We can't wait to share our music with everyone and celebrate the big electric energy of a completely live on-the-spot rock show."

Squeeze's Glenn Tilbrook chimed in saying: "I'm so looking forward to sharing stages all over the UK with Heart this is a most unexpected pleasure!", with Chris Difford adding: "Very much looking forward to being on the bigger stages with Heart, a legendary summer show with lots to look forward to."

Rumours of a rift between Heart's leading ladies came to fruition after a dispute where Ann's husband was arrested for allegedly hitting one of Nancy's children.

In the year that followed, they continued to tour together despite not speaking directly to one another for the remaining dates after the incident, according to Rolling Stone .

That was all dispelled after the Wilson sisters reunited on stage in 2019 for a charity concert.

Ann vehemently denied any rift, telling Classic Rock magazine in 2022: "It's a myth. Nancy and I are OK with each other. We just have different ideas for what Heart should be, and we haven't figured out a compromise yet."

With the announcement of their Royal Flush world tour, we may also get to hear the band's first new music since 2016's Beautiful Broken .

Tickets go on sale on 2nd February 2024 which you can here . The full UK dates for Heart's 2024 Royal Flush world tour are below:

3 – Birmingham, UK, Utilita Arena

Nita Strauss is a descendant of Johan Strauss

Guitar shredder Nita Strauss, perhaps best-known for being Alice Cooper's guitarist since 2014, is a descendant of 19th century Austrian composer Johann Strauss II. Explaining she's related to Johan on her father's side, Nita told Ultimate Guitar: "We have a lot of musicians, like, everyone on my dad's side of the family is all musicians, all the way back to the Viennese Strausses." Asked if she would consider performing Johan's music, Nita said: "You know, the waltz doesn't really sound good on the guitar. Like, I've sort of experimented a bit. I have to explore it more, because I would like to. And actually, we talked even about using 'The Blue Danube' as intro music for the tour or something, but it's so on the nose. It's sort of, like, so obvious, but I still want to explore it when I have a little more time."

Meat Loaf was the father-in-law of Scott Ian

Anthrax axeman Scott Ian married the late-great Meat Loaf's daughter Pearl Aday, who is also a rock musician, in 2011, and they have a 10-year-old son together called Revel. When Meat Loaf passed away in January 2022, the thrash musician paid poignant tribute, writing: "There are so many stories to tell, and I know they will all be told over time. For now, what I know is that Meat's legacy will live on through his family - Pearl, Amanda and Revel. Their forever love for their father/grandfather (Papa Meat) outweighs the heaviness of their hearts. Thank you to everyone for the outpouring of love, we feel it. I love you Meat."

Suzi Quatro is the aunt of Sherilyn Fenn

Detroit rock icon Suzi Quatro is the auntie of actor and author Sherilyn Fenn, who is best known for playing Audrey Horne in David Lynch's cult TV series Twin Peaks. Fenn's mum is keyboardist Arlene Quatro who was a member of the rock band The Pleasure Seekers with her younger sister Suzi in the 1960s.

Joe Walsh and Ringo Starr's wives are sisters

Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh became Ringo Star's relative in 2008 when he married Marjorie Bach, who is the sister of Ringo's wife Barbara Bach. Already good friends before becoming relatives, Joe was previously a member of Ringo's All-Starr Band from 1989 and into the early 90s, and Ringo appeared on Joe's 1991 solo album 'Ordinary Average Guy.'

Ian Anderson is the father-in-law of Andrew Lincoln

Mick Jones is the stepfather of Mark Ronson

Foreigner guitarist, songwriter and only constant member Mick Jones is the stepfather of phenomenally successful musician and producer Mark Ronson. Mick Jones married Ann Dexter-Jones in the early 1980s and became stepfather to her three children Mark, Samantha and Charlotte Ronson. Mark Ronson has stated in interviews that he was surrounded by music throughout his childhood thanks to Mick, which led him to pursue a career in the music industry.

Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose was very briefly the son-in-law of Don Everly of The Everly Brothers fame. Axl began dating Don's daughter Erin Everly in 1986 and wrote the lyrics for Guns N' Roses' enduring anthem 'Sweet Child O' Mine' about her before she appeared in the 1988 music video for the track. Bill Wyman was almost his own son’s son-in-law

In a truly mind-boggling scenario, ex Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman almost became his own son's son-in-law and his own step-grandfather. When Bill separated from his first wife Mandy Smith (pictured, who was 18 at the time of marriage), his 30-year-old son Stephen married Mandy's mother, Patsy. Had Bill's marriage remained intact, he would have become his son's son-in-law, because he was married to his son's stepdaughter. Mandy Smith would have become Stephen Wyman's mother because she would be his father's wife. Thanks to his marriage to Mandy's mother, Stephen Wyman would have become both Mandy's son and father. Similarly, Patsy Smith would have been Mandy's daughter as well as her mother.

The North American leg will launch on April 20 in Greenville, South Carolina, and conclude on Sept. 22 in Morrison, Colorado. Heart will also head to Europe in late June through mid-July, with Squeeze opening select dates.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday through Heart's website . You can see the full list of tour dates below.

Heart's Recent Touring History and Family Drama

Heart last hit the road in 2019 for the Love Alive tour, ending a three-year hiatus and estrangement between Ann and Nancy Wilson . The sisters put the band on hold after Ann's husband was arrested for allegedly hitting one of Nancy's children during Heart's 2016 tour.

Following the 2019 trek, Heart once again took an extended break, during which both sisters released solo music and Nancy toured under the name Nancy Wilson's Heart. Although some onlookers have questioned whether tensions remain between the Wilson sisters, Ann insisted in 2022 that there was no lingering animosity.

"It's a myth," the singer  said . "Nancy and I are OK with each other. We just have different ideas for what Heart should be, and we haven't figured out a compromise yet."

Nancy Wilson also said last June that she and Ann were working on new material that's "closer to what you would have heard us originally do in the '70s, late '70s. So it's really fun, it's just exciting and inspiring."

Heart has canceled its European tour so that singer Ann Wilson can focus on recovering from a “time-sensitive but routine medical procedure.”

In a post shared to social media, the band noted that the procedure, set for late May, has a “minimum recovery time” of six weeks. The tour was set to run through this summer, with a launch date of June 20. They continue, “Heart deeply regrets this unfortunate circumstance and hopes to return to Europe soon. Refunds will be available at point of purchase where applicable.”

Well that's all from us tonight, thank you for following along.

If you are heading back from Murrayfield Stadium, get home safe, and if you're already in bed, have a good sleep.

Rest those vocal cords Swifties - Tay Tay will be back tomorrow.

Sadly, the show has come to an end.

Taylor Swift fans will definitely be hoarse tomorrow after constantly singing, cheering and shouting for more than three hours.

Before we close our live coverage, here's a look at some of the best pictures from tonight's concert...

By Katie Spencer , arts and entertainment correspondent at Murrayfield Stadium

Taylor Swift has smashed a triumphant set in front of enormous crowds in Edinburgh on her record-breaking Eras tour, telling fans it was "the wildest way to welcome a lass".

As she welcomed the crowd, she announced it was officially the highest attended stadium show in Scottish history.

"Oh hi," she casually told the more than 70,000 people who came to see her perform.

The 34-year-old star initially took to the stage in a diamante encrusted corseted leotard and bejewelled cowboy boots.

She later admitted: "This tour has been the most fun I've had in my entire life….my one regret now is that I really should have come to perform in Scotland more.

"I can't stop staring at you, I'm captivated by this audience."

Blasting through her biggest hits in a set of 40+ songs, on stage for more than three hours, she promised to take fans on a "grand adventure" they'd never forget. She certainly did that.

"After tonight, you're going to think about us and the memories we made," she promised.

The evening was "unforgettable", she told the crowd, while her last song of the night, Karma, was dedicated to the crowd.

"Edinburgh you have given us everything you could possibly give us tonight."

It was a pinch yourself evening for Swifties fortunate enough to get a ticket. Lyrics memorised, costumes perfected.

The show a musical marathon which demonstrated not only why Swift is arguably one of the greatest songwriters of modern pop music but also one of the world's most accomplished performers.

The show itself, paced perfectly to hold the audience's interest with slick dance routines and theatrical, at times fantastical, staging.

The screams of support for her most famous hits were deafening. Countless fans leaving Murrayfield hoarse after she told the story of her eight Eras whilst delivering the ultimate singalong.

This was a long day for many, a hardened few sat outside since dawn to be among the first in-line to secure a front row spot.

"Anything's worth it for Taylor," Julia had told me at 7am outside the stadium. Her friend admitting she'd "sell my kidneys, probably both lungs" to get close to the star.

Why does she elicit such a reaction? Despite her billionaire status, Swift has somehow remained an artist whose voice remains real, authentic and honest.

Her songwriting - a shared diary of sorts - resonating all the more for her openness about her flaws, bad break-ups, sharing with fans not only the joy of falling in love, but the heartbreak.

The crowd at Murrayfield were word-perfect for her hits like You Belong With Me, the stadium echoing with noise during We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

If performing songs from her Tortured Poets Department Era - her latest album written about her ill-fated London loves - took on more poignancy for Swift this being the UK leg of her tour, she gave no indication on stage.

An all but faultless performance but for the acoustic section of her show, where the star was forced to briefly stop playing the guitar, saying: "My hand has frozen in a weird cramp... this is so embarrassing... its like performing with a claw. No one relates."

While it's understandable that many balk at the stupidly expensive price of some VIP packages, few could question Taylor's commitment to offering her fans the ultimate experience. The confetti canons and fireworks, a needless distraction really from what she does best - singing out.

A one-woman economy boosting machine, Swift's 15 UK shows are projected by some to boost the UK economy by almost £1bn with fans shelling out, not only on tickets, but accommodation, travel, and pre-show parties.

I spoke to people who travelled here from Spain, The Netherlands, America, India and even Australia.

Fans who'd spent months planning their costumes, painstakingly threading bracelets, embroidering jackets, which is undoubtedly half the fun.

While this level of pop obsession is nothing new, that one artist can still achieve this in an age where we are swamped with musical choice speaks volumes as to the power of Swift's music.

Forget about politicians touring the country, Taylor Swift's whereabouts will be what's dominating the national conversation for vast swathes of the country over the next month.

While some may scoff at the tweeness of swapping friendship bracelets, dressing-up and glitter - there is a delightfulness to being a part of the Swift crowd which is a warm and welcoming world.

Swift's proving herself to be, not only a prolific songwriter, but the ultimate showwoman.

That's it Swifties, the first UK Eras tour show has come to an end.

Taylor Swift closed Murrayfield Stadium with a huge confetti cannon display as she performed Karma for her adoring fans.

The superstar has been performing for more than three hours and the crowd has spent that time cheering, clapping and singing their hearts out.

She will be back at the stadium for another show tomorrow night, and the night after, being moving on to Anfield Stadium in Liverpool.

Rewinding slightly to the start of the show, here's the moment Taylor Swift spoke to her fans in Edinburgh during her opening act.

The superstar welcomed them to the Eras tour, telling them the last time she was in Scotland was more than a decade ago.

"Tonight's concert is the most highly attended show in Scottish history," she said.

"This is the wildest way to welcome a lass to your city."

Murrayfield Stadium was lit up by fans during Taylor Swift's performance of Daylight from her Lover album.

Thousands of fans held up their glowing bracelets and phones during the song.

Here's a clip...

The show is almost coming to an end and Swift is going out in her Midnights era.

She kicks off with a rendition of Lavender Haze, emerging on the stage in a faux fur purple coat and black knee-high boots.

Taylor has moved to her acoustic section now - a moment fans have been waiting for.

This is the time the superstar performs two surprise tracks, which change at every show.

Many had thought she might pick Castles Crumbling from Speak Now as a reference to Edinburgh Castle.

But as she begins the set, with Would've Should've Could've from Midnights, she is forced to briefly stop playing her guitar.

"My hand has frozen in a weird cramp…this is so embarrassing….its like performing with a claw," she tells the crowd.

"No one relates."

By Jenness Mitchell , Scotland reporter

A baker has created a Swift-themed cake to celebrate the star's arrival and is hoping it makes it to her.

Cathryn Klawikowska, 34, took eight hours to bake the nine-layer red velvet treat.

Edyta Matysiak took three days to make the figurine.

Ms Klawikowska, head designer at 3D Cakes near Murrayfield, hopes it will end up backstage at the stadium.

She added: "I'm hoping to get this to Taylor though."

Swift turns now to her latest album - the Tortured Poets Department.

She kicks off the era with But Daddy I Love Him and comes out wearing a gorgeous white gown covered in lyrics.

"I love you, it's ruining my life" can be seen across it - lyrics from her biggest hit of the album Fortnight.

A 64-year-old man has been charged with voyeurism after attending one of Taylor Swift’s sold-out Eras tour shows in Edinburgh, Scotland over the weekend.

Scotland Police said the concert-goer was arrested at the 14-time Grammy winner’s sold-out show on Saturday, where the singer performed in front of a 73,000-strong crowd at Murrayfield Stadium.

“A 64-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a voyeurism offense committed within Murrayfield during the event on Saturday June 8,” Superintendent David Happs said in a statement.

“He was released on an undertaking to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.”

In the UK, non-consensual voyeurism is an illegal offense. It is the act of gaining sexual gratification through watching or recording someone in a private act.

The “Fortnight” hitmaker, 34, kicked off the UK leg of her global tour on Friday with a total of 3 sold-out shows in the Scottish capital.

Each night, the “Cruel Summer” singer performed to a 73,000-strong crowd, making her shows the highest attended stadium concerts in Scotland’s history.

“Edinburgh!!! You truly blew me away this weekend,” Swift wrote on Instagram after the shows.

“Thank you for breaking the all-time attendance record for a stadium show in Scotland 3 times in a row and for all the ways you made us feel right at home. Love you, all 220,000 of you!!!”

And the Edinburgh shows weren’t without it’s special moments, as the singer even witnessed a couple getting engaged during her combined “Folklore” and “Evermore” set.

“I love performing this entire show in the sunlight ’cause I’m pretty sure I just, like, saw somebody get engaged over here,” the pop star told the crowd at Murrayfield Stadium in a clip shared on Threads .
