I was so lucky to grab the Leela Goa (via Agoda) during the off-season at an incredibly affordable price, but I must admit that even though the experience is probably worth every penny of the rates it usually commands ($300-400/night during from Oct-Apr)...I probably wouldn't have been able to afford such luxury if not for the off-season. The airport shuttle was a 5-series BMW, there were staff attendants to serve your every whim...from assistance in the "locker room" after a workout in the gym, to a security guard to carry a flashlight 10 steps behind you if you wanted to walk on the beach after sunset. The only warning I would issue is that the cuisine is not very western-friendly. I ate an apple from my room on the first morning and spent the next 2 hours sick in the bathroom. The buffet is filled with Indian and Chinese options, which are either very spicy (as is consistent with the rest of India) and/or full of uncooked fruits and veggies, which are no-nos for Westerners. But that is literally the ONLY "complaint" I could muster, and its a mild complaint as part of the adventure of India is navigating a wild assortment of new foods! The resort is absolutely the definition of luxury and beauty, perfectly relaxing and comfortable. I even rented a moped and explored the surrounding villages, and felt very safe doing so. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!!

before going to Goa, we heard a lot of bad experiences from our friend that the hotel where they stayed not as they expected and their holiday become unpleasent experience. While we were searching, we still have this worry and it still have that until we arrived in the hotel. First thing that make our worried slowly dissapear that the hotel design was beautiful starting from the lobby, where friendly hotel staff helping us a lot on taking care our luggages, offering welcome drink, all the check in paper work done while we sitting relax in comfortable sofa. Then we were pleased more when we saw our room which very comfortable with good design and well maintain bath room with power shower, and located strategically in front off swimming pool where we can watch our kids playing in the pool just 10 steps in front of us. The hotel have good garden with kids playground facility and best of all it's next to the beach which very clean, beautiful sunset, and the sand was so soft. Other thing we like was the japanese restaurant which serving good teppanyaki. Some other thing that could be improved further were location of kids club, would be good if located outside hotel employee working zone, more variaty of non-indian food in waterfall restaurant buffet lunch & dinner, and safety concern of falling coconut to the swimming pool. Overall we were very pleased with our holiday in Zuri White Sand Resort Goa, it's actually beyond our expectation. Thanks.

We planned to have a relaxed trip and Goa was suitable place. We choose to stay at north Goa at this property as it is close to Condolim beach and clam place. We booked superior type the rooms were spacious, well maintained & has balcony to relax. The pool was close but occupied by foreigners for the sun bath. Coming to food, the compliment break fast has good spread & delicious. They have activity room but not that big(in terms of no. of activities) and this need to be improved b'cose the rooms stinks and u can only play carom board & table tennis. Coming to transportation, we hired two wheeler which next door to the hotel and was roaming around as the beaches & other sightseeing are in 5-7 KM u can cover Candolim, Calangute, Baga beaches and fort Aguada as well the dolphin boat sightseeing. The receiption person help in arranging the cab for the drop to the airport. The only thing is transportation to be taken care. Overall, We had good time & the hotel is fabulous & I do recommend.

All was well cleaned and maintained. Not a complaint but a small suggestion would be to make the WC cleaning better and replenish the worn towels, that taken care would surely take the Hotel to 5 star level. I know I am not staying in Taj but that sorted you are a very good hotel. This feedback maybe because I am a Hotel Management and Laundry person, for normal guests it is nothing that they would observe. Great value for money and great facilities with awesome location and very courteous staff and management. For all who shall stay do not forget to carry swimming glass for they have an awesome infinity pool at rooftop. Pool was very clean but difficult to open eyes n swim for a regular swimmer as well hence the glasses. Book this property if you want great value for money.

Sea Mist Beach Resort

This was my 3rd visit to Goa, and everytime I used to stay in North Goa near Baga beach. But this time I decided to give South Goa a try, as their beaches and the water are supposed to be cleaner. The location of this resort is good, about 15kms from the Goa Airport, not too far in the South. The rooms are excellent, although I think they were a bit dimly lit. The Staff is excellent. I was there with my parents for my birthday, and they gave us a complimentary birthday cake. :) Would like to give a special mention to Niushka at the reception desk. We arrived way too early before our check in time, but she got us accommodated in our rooms in no time. She was very friendly. All the staff are really nice people. The resort is located close to the Uttorda beach, which is nice and clean. There is only one more resort connected to the beach, so its not really crowded, which I liked it. The Swimming pool is amazing, has a pool bar, and looks amazing in the night with the blue leds inside it. Although i wished the Jacuzzi was bit more powerful :) The Breakfast buffet is one of the best. Try to get a deal which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, since I didn't like much the a-la-carte menu. They have 2 more bars inside, and the beers are priced at reasonable rates. Although I went in monsoons, and all the water sports was closed, It was a peaceful vacation for us, a perfect getaway. I would rate it 8/10, because I wished they had a bar and a restaurant at the beach, even in monsoons, which is what most people would love it. If you don't have your own car here, then you would probably have to take taxi from outside the hotel, since there is no other public transport available. The Taxi rates from this hotel are bit more on the high, 3500 Rs for 80 kms with 6hrs of cap. and 4000 Rs for 120 kms with 8hrs of cap. But hey its Goa, a touristic place, so it will be expensive everywhere :) Overall a perfect getaway place. And if you're lucky you might even spot few bol

We had breakfast included and it was very good. They have a nice pool, so you can cool down during the day. We did not go to any of the beaches. But we did visit the sites, the market and the church, everything is easily reachable.

Many people from corporate and local families coming on cheap daily brunch or package were seen in pool.almost for 2 to 3 hours but never came out to use washrooms.. its not hotels fault but quality of people using pool kept us away most of the days.

The staff from the moment you check in can not help you enough. From the porters, reception, management, pool staff, bar staff, cleaners, security and restaurant staff everyone was very helpful. The rooms are very well presented and clean. Nice walk in showers and a comfortable bed. The food is reasonably priced however if you eat in the restaurant or bar you’ll have to add 28% to the bill (18% tax and 10% service charge) but still cheap for the amount you get. Breakfast is also good with local and Indian specialties, also with an egg bar and fresh fruit juices. Restaurant menu is varied. One thing I would mention is the beach is amazing and if you want to walk to colva you should 100% walk along the beach. Taxis can seem a bit expensive but you can haggle. Overall a great stay, 100% would recommend. Just so you know it is in the quite prt of goa and there is some really good shacks if you want something a bit more lively! Great place

I was travelling with my wife nd my 10 months old daughter so we chose Santana. we initially booked it for two days but den I xtended our booking for a couple of days more. The place is located beautifully in front of candolim beach. Even though the property is fairly big , you would always find the housekeeping ppl keeping up the cleanliness. It has a beautiful pool bar, which me nd my wife enjoyed thoroughly throughout our stretch of stay(the music was good, the staff was courteous nd d food always delicious). One best thing out there, was the friendly staff who was always willing to help out in every possible manner including keeping our baby girl accompanied when we wee enjoying the pool, having our meal or just sitting at the bar.

I was getting a lovely deal From agoda so I booked 3 cozy rooms...wen we landed goa and were on the way to hotel the taxi driver scared Us by saying that the road to our resort is little disturbed...I got worried but as we reached the resort the first word which my brother in law said was "marvelous" We recieved a very warm welcome by the staff and they were very polite freindly and supportive.we were worried that how we gonna arrange a cab to go baga beach, then our hotel staff informed us that the pick up and drop is complimentary from the hotel. Our rooms were like villa and were sooooo beautiful and romantic..we enjoyed hukkah in our balcony..lights during the night outside was making the hotel looks sexy... ..we came back to our hotel dinner time and other than a ruitine 5 star ambience, a live performance was waiting for us...the whole atmosphere wad so Cool as we enjoyed our dinner with light live goa songs...that made our celebration the most memorable one...in the morning we enjoyed a lavish breakfast... Any one looking for a five star property to enjoy near baga beach...I think this one is the best... All the facilities like rent a Bike supermarket were few steps away and baga beach casino sukh Thai massage just 2-3 km away from our hotel..my brother in Law Has said that wenever he will visit goa next time this will b the only hotel in his mind...

My first visit to Goa and having stayed in Royal Orchid in Bangalore many times, I decided to choose Royal Orchid Goa as I was already familiar with its excellent service and good hotel design. And as expected, the service was par excellence from the moment we arrive. The check in was good, the room was good, the food in the restaurant was excellent. One thing that is the best feature is its location to the beach! right outside the hotel, the beach was quiet, clean, private, it was really really the best highlight of my trip. I definitely would make Royal Orchid Goa my vacation hotel and I cant wait to be back. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Surrounding environment

one of the few 5 star hotel in Goa, good hotel staff, 2km to beach. food in Goa is horrible, so just stay with traditional indian food instead of seafood.

The Baga Marina Beach Resort & Hotel

I would stay at the same place again whenever i visit goa and will use Agoda to book the hotel as i got the best deal from them.

A very pleasant stay overall. I would recommend this hotel to the traveller who is aiming for value for money and a relaxed stay in Goa.

We had booked Alila Diwa Goa for our honeymoon & it was the best decision we could have taken to make our stay special and luxurious. We had opted fpr Standard Terrace Room. And we were treated with the most quite room with awesome view. Room was fully equipped with all amenities & toiletries. Highlight of the room was large bath tub & rain shower. The hotel staff welcomed us with cold napkins & kokam cold drink. Our room was well decorated for a honeymoon special and were surprised with fruit cake. Alila Diwa is well spread luxurious resort at 500 meters distance from Gonsua beach. Buggy rides are provided to the beach which has all water sports activities. Infinity pool was our favorite spot in yhe resort. Breakfast at the VIVO was very delicious & widely spread buffet. There were a lot of vegetarian & non vegetarian options available to tickle our taste buds. In hotel dining options are a bit expensive but there are a lot many cheaper options just after you step out of the resort. Fishka, The Camron being the best ones serving lip smacking sea food, Goan & Portuguese delicacies. Only turn down, is the distance from South Goa which takes a quite a while to travel to happening places like Calangute & Baga. Also, considering a 5 star property, Alila Diwa should provide complimentary airport pick up & drop transfers. Overall, an awesome experience & a luxurious stay at Alila Diwa.

Despite booking the room very late and at the absolute high point of the Goa season, I felt it was a superb deal (10K INR for 30th Dec to the 1st) considering how exorbitant rooms generally go for. It's situated just off the main road opposite Infantaria and can be tough to spot from the street (Guys put up a sign!) but google maps will lead you right to it! The pool area is nice and complimentary breakfast is very decent (the coffee really needs work though). It doesn't look like much when you walk up the alley but they've made excellent use of the space they have and the white and bloomroom signature yellows are cheery and welcoming. There's iMacs for us to use (and a game room that should be ready soon) and the staff are helpful without being intrusive. Great for couples or solo travelers who come just for the sun and the sand.

The rooms were sparkling clean. The decor is basic, bit everything looks just perfect. Lenin and toilets were very clean. The toon smelled good. The resort has cosy large wooden cabins with great landscaping. Several coconut trees, hammocks, benches and children play area. The beach is a stone's throw away. Extremely clean and uncrowded unlike other beaches in North Goa. Food at the resort is reasonably priced. Sufficient variety. Staff is friendly too. However they were not very clued upon Goa. All queries got a rather disappointing reply. The swimming pool is very clean. Couldn't use spa services bcos of restricted timings. Suggested improvements are, Better breakfast menu, better spa timings and some booklet on Goa could be provided with advise to travellers. Overall a great stay! Will go back to this place again.

The hotel is very clean, has a very nice pool environment and a good restaurant in the hotel. It is one of the newest hotels in the area, therefore indeed clean and modern. The rooms are not extremely spacious, but sufficiently large for a limited stay. I can only say that I would go there right again if I spent again some time in Goa. This is basically the best you can say about a hotel stay .......

We recently stayed at Rococco Ashvem beach as part of a three week holiday in India. The five nights we stayed at the hotel were a very relaxing and enjoyable time for us. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially when we were four hours late arriving, due to a train delay, the driver waited for us at the station!!! We also lost our room key and again the staff went above and beyond to help us get back into our room and eventually into our room safe. we can not praise the staff enough they were all friendly and extremely helpful. Our one slight minor complaint is it would be nice to see more South Indian/ Indian food on the menu, the menu very much caters to western standards, however this is a personal thing, we live in the west now but crave good Indian food. Others may prefer Western style. The location was spectacular the sea warm and we had the added benefit of the deluxe sea view room , it was amazing to watch the sun set from both our room and the beach. Whilst by some western standards this hotel may not be viewed as 4-5 star, to us all the above positive features made our stay a truly amazing and positive stay that we feel very lucky to have had. We will be back in the future.

Though we turned up in an off season with persistent rains, the beautiful landscapes, views and always smiling restaurant staff kept us in high spirits! Palash the restaurant has great food. Loved all the genuinely good vegetarian friendly options (including the ubiquitous need for curd rice by the elderly folks in the group!). Lalitha the pet dog was adorable. She is such a braveheart! I would only just recommend the hospital management to incorporate proactive room quality checks instead of reactive (on being told) room checks. The issues reported on AC, WC flush, TV etc on different rooms by the guests were prompty resolved by the staff. Rooms clean and tastefully done! La Cabana by very far, is the best resort in Ashwem. If you happen to come here in the monsoons, the resort is a great place to just chill and hang around even if you can't go outdoors to the seas, beaches or anywhere else in Goa!

it is really a good place when you are planning to have a break in goa. hotel is clean & quiet, and people there are quite nice. the beach is good for swimming, and also very good swiming pool. hotel also invite guests to participate activities... good!

The breakfast variety was fabulous, and was different every day.Kudo's to the staff that were friendly and helpful to enlighten us around the sight-seeing in North Goa. Especially: Gayathri. I was there during the taxi strike, and was happy to be around Candolim as well as the hotel for the 2 days till the strike was over. The beach was just 2km away from the hotel. Room for improvement: Maybe up the room price abit, but have free Wifi, especially in common areas. As relayed to the manager, the Spa needs alittle work regarding their techniques. I used this once, but found it was better at Spa centres close to the hotel. Thanks Golden Tulip Goa for an amazing stay and look forward to visiting you again.

Good place in Goa to meet the nice beaches of the south and the north. Despite of the noisy and busy Vagator area (mostly along the beach), the emplacement of the hotel is very quiet. Walking distance to a very good restaurant (Sri). Room was very clean and very nice. Thanks a lot for the warmest service provide during our stay. Highly recommanded.

The best part of the hotel is that they have an excellent staff always helpful. Want to specially mention Shenya from front office and Debojeet, F&B manager. The best person was Hari, Housekeep manager who always available on call for any assistance. Overall I would say that the stay was a memorable one. Would certainly like to refer to my friends and family members. Will stay at the same property on my next visit.

When we selected the hotel, we knew there was a 10-15 minute walk to the Calangute beach. But we found more good reviews for Neelam's the Grand compared to any other hotel in Calangute, Goa. And we did find it to be clean, which was one of the most important thing for us. The price was also very reasonable. We did have one problem, though. We needed a pick up and drop off from and to the airport. The hotel web-site mentions that they provide airport transfers. But when we paid for the room through Agoda, we did not find a way to pay for the airport transfer. It turned out that the only way to get it done through the hotel is to call them. We wished they (Neelams the Grand) clearly mentioned that on their web-site, it would have saved us a lot of time. Over all it was a great hotel to stay at, though. Also, make sure you request the airport transfer in time, they don't do it at the last minute. The breakfast buffet was good enough for us, we had read a few complaints about less variety in it. We were there for 3 nights, and we noticed some items in the buffet (cereal, milk, eggs, juice and other hot drinks) staying the same (as expected) and most others rotated so it's not the same everyday. That was not at all an issue for us. We would stay here again if we made another trip to Goa!

Out of the 9 hotels that we stayed in during our travels in India, I can safely say that Estrela Do Mar was the best, especially when considering the price we paid for the Executive double room was more or less the same amount we had paid for a lot of the other places we had stayed in previous to arriving in Goa. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is just a couple steps from the beach..however I don´t know if this is a good thing or bad thing as the first and last time we went to the beach, we were swarmed by women trying to sell us things who proceeded to follow us down the beach when we tried to get away. Staying in Calungute is a good thing to do, you have the village just a short walk away and there are plenty of little shops and restaurants to check out. If you would like to head to Panaji (the ´city centre´there are plenty of people outside the hotel offering to rent out scooters (be careful though, make sure you have an international driving license even though they tell you it´s not necessary and make sure the driver rides with a helmet outside on the main roads between villages and the city. We got fined) For suspicious people, it might be good to know that there is a crematorium a minutes walk away from the hotel...a slightly surprising discovery after we had arrived at the hotel and wondered where all of the smoke was coming from and no hint of a barbecue smell. We just dealt with it though but it was a little strange! Apart from those minor points, we had a fantastic stay, it´s a great hotel! check it out!

The manager said he didn't have our room type so upgraded us and said he would speak to Agoda. I too messaged them and by the time I had heard back from Agoda the manager said everything had been sorted!! (Thanks Agoda!!!) The manager was very helpful during this lil hiccup and we were impressed with the general service and condition of the hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful and from the rooms to the pool, the hotel was in good clean condition. It's not the larges in the world, but perfect for going out to the beach during the day. Calangute is very busy, mainly with other tourists from India and quite a few Russians. If you prefer quieter beaches head for south goa. But the beaches are lined with lots of shacks to eat and drink in with loads of gorgeous sea food. There are a few places in between the beach and the hotel to buy bits n bobs from. Loads of rental places and watersports on the beach. The location was great, the staff were attentive, the breakfast was yummy, the hotel was clean and it was good value for money. Would definitely stay here again. I stayed at a place in the south with the same star rating and similar price called joecons and it was awful!! The citrus was definitely worth it!

We loved everything about the hotel- the room size, the balconies, the mini bar, the food (Indian dishes were yummy, just like home made), the location (Goa science centre is right opposite where our youngster enjoyed, Miramar beach is 10 minutes walk, view of Carnival), the cost of food (value for money), restaurant (with floor to roof glass walls), a small pool which the kid loved and a travel desk to arrange our day tour. Overall, one of my most enjoyable & comfortable stays at Goa and I have been to Goa many times before, mostly staying at Hyatt & Taj, previously.

Hotel is nice and located near the beach, Its on the Holiday Street so you have access to all the things nearby. Hotels Restaurant is also good. Only Couple things the Breakfast time is till 10:30 which i think according to Goa should be 11:30 and you have to purchase water all the time they do not serve tap water.

Swimming pool [outdoor]

Had a very relaxing and fun with my 7 year old son. My son liked the say at Hathi Mahal as the best in 4 days of Goa trip.

More I say less it will be to describe our experience (group of four friends). It is comparatively small hotel with 21 rooms only but not less than any big five star hotel. Rooms are studded with all amenities and requirements from good size beds, new looks of rooms, sitting area with couch and LCD, new style bathrooms and good quality toiletries. Look of Hotel takes your heart the moment you enter the hotel and see green colour swimming pool or hamaam beautified with plants and pottery and sitting arrangement, move further and you see their bar cum lounge perfectly built for travellers, then comes the breath taking swimming pool and deck where they serve delicious food with love and courtesy. Never experienced the level of services they provide with politeness and genuine zeal to serve you better and take care of you like guest of their home. It is walkable distance from LPK Waterfront... the most happenening night club of Goa and walkable distance to Nerul river. Soothing music playing always and house keeping service was amazing amid high booking in hotel. I may go out of words or thoughts but can't explain the fantastic and memorable experience we had at this place. Will surely visit this hotel again and would recommend this hotel to all travellers.

Very accommodating. Amazing veg restaurant..must try the food out there. Special thanks to Sunil at the restaurant. He was really helpful. Would certainly visit the place again if i happen to travel to south goa.

So glad we chose here to do it. If your wanting to explore here though it's not the best place as its a bit out of the way. But for us it was a perfect end to our holiday. the hotel is beautiful and a lovely view onto the river from the pool where you can watch kingfishers as the sun goes down . And if you love big bathrooms with their own sculpture conservatory on the end well you will love the bathrooms . Only thing I would change would be the food. It wasn't bad. Was good even, but after our travels it just wasn't very exciting . And I missed fresh watermelon and other juices which are abundant in Goa . Otherwise perfect .

Pros: amazing location, golf cart service available for roaming within the property, amazing swimming pool, nice restaurants with really good food choices, villas are huge and very luxurious, the staff is super friendly and makes you feel really special, so close to the beach. Must stay property for the ones looking for a relaxing holiday and fun at beach. Cons - quite far from the hustle bustle of Goa and thus not an ideal place for the people who love to shop and roam around, you must have your own vehicle as there are less or no cabs available. Hotel cab is quite expensive, no good eating joints outside the hotel, thus you end up staying inside the hotel only, the party atmosphere of Goa isn't what you experience in this property because it's more for relaxing and fun with your loved ones at the beach. For party animals, north Goa is the place to stay.

Tried different hotels in Goa but Lalit was the best in terms of price quality. Large rooms, great pool area and private beach. As a downside - not many (good) restaurants around the hotel

The comfort, kindness and quality service received from all the staff was great! One thing that stood out noticeably was the ever present friendly smile across everyone I interacted with from W Goa. There was nothing I was denied in terms of request and that goes far, especially when its 4am in the morning, you can’t sleep and all you want is a Bombay masala toasted sandwich!! So to all the W Goa team (security guards at the gate, welcome guards, front desk, bar staff, house keeping, waiters, chefs and anyone else whom I have missed! You made my stay evermore pleasant as a solo guest! Wonderful people. Thankyou and I will be back.

Taxi operators just outside hotel gates. Cost around RS1500 to airport. They also take you to tours. I would book again at this hotel when i visit Goa again.

Beautiful rooms with an amazing view of the beach. Great breakfast- combo of international and Goan food. We stayed there for 4 nights and were not at all tired of the delicious food! We also hired a driver for 3 days- Prasad, who was truely great! He was attentive and friendly, as well as very knowledgable of where to go and what to do in the area. He recommended some really awesome places to eat as well as some gorgeous beaches that were not on the tourist list. Overall, it was one of the best trips I've had so far, and if I ever come back I will definitely stay at the Marriott!

The food is amazing with tons of options for everyone to find something they like. If the food is too spicy/not spicy enough or you just haven't had a favorite dish yet at the resort, simply tell one of the staff and they are more than willing to accommodate to your needs; they made a dish just for our group simply after asking. The staff is amazing. All very professional and the resort has a huge team or workers. The grounds are kept immaculately with so many flowers and plant species that you will likely see new flowers blooming each morning of your stay. The pool is large and clean. The swim-up pool bar is a very nice feature as well. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. We stayed in the 500-series villas both stays and they all have a balcony with a nice view of the garden spaces behind the building. The beach is just a short and pleasant walk away and it was nice to find out you can check out the bikes free of charge. In short, there is nothing negative to say about Heritage. I would recommend anyone staying in Goa to go and check this place out. I recommend getting the all inclusive package as well; especially during monsoon season when most other shops/restaurants are closed. When traveling to areas that are SOOO different than anything else you have experienced it was nice having a place to go and trust what you ate and drank. Never any health complications during our stay!

There was a beautiful shack called Calamari right next to the beach and it had some of the best food we had in Goa. The hotel rooms were nice and spacious. The pool was great. It was a great hotel from my perspective. There were a few disadvantages. The breakfast buffet was not that great. There were many guests with kids and that meant it was not as peaceful as we wanted it to be. There were also some guests that were occasionally loud but the hotel staff were not aggressive enough to tell them to be quiet. The hotel had a spa which was quite expensive and we took a massage there but the quality of the service was not good. Overall, I really liked the hotel despite the disadvantages. If I go again, I would definitely think of going back to this hotel.

The person at the help desk said that we could go to sleep immediately after we arrived, and said he would keep the paperwork for the next day. The hotel is placed conveniently at thee edge of Goa and just next door to Mumbai. This is an excellent location for those who want to do the photographic, herpeto, birding, nature trails in Goa, Amboli, Sawantwadi and Ratnagiri. Just between these, you cover mountain, coast, plateau and shore. As the room was available when we arrived, they didn't charge us for the very early check in. I thought that was a very generous gesture. The only thing you may miss is a reliable network. And yes, keep the windows shut. The monkeys are very curious :)

We were a bit worried as it was our first visit to Goa. I, like many, read loads of reviews and the more I read the more confused I got. I have to say the Holiday Inn Resort Goa exceeded my expectations. As we went up the slightly winding drive way to the entrance of the hotel I knew straight a way that we had made the right choice. We were offered a drink as soon as we arrived and were told to take a seat and a lady came over and took our details and checked us in. We were given a quick brief of the hotel and then were shown to our room. We had a pool view with a partial sea view room. It was very spacious and had everything that one would need for their stay. A beautiful pool with plenty of sun loungers so no need for reserving loungers. The grounds are constantly being maintained. You can ask the staff for anything and nothing is too much trouble. The beach the hotel is on is beautiful and if you walk a bit further out it's very quiet and peaceful. They're are some beach vendors who are keen to sell to you. If you do decide to buy anything then remember to barter. I always halfed any price they gave me and eventually they accepted it. I was still probably paying over the odds but it was a bargain to me. The shacks have party nights and the one we had the most fun was at Sam's. We are already booking our next visit to the Holiday Inn...

Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia Resort

Good Property however not up to the mark as a Novotel Brand. I have stayed in other Novotel's before which have a set maintained standard. This has to be upgraded to those levels. However having said so the staff was helpful enough to resolve our concerns and took good care for our satisfaction. The buffet was great with amazing option s for each one.

Should visit Club cubana wednesdays it is ladies entry and drinks free, happening place.Beautiful place.

In north Goa I found Arambol beach to be most beautiful in all beaches which i visited. It was an awesome place.

Baga is quite crowded place and enjoyable for those who like to have fun in crowd. Chapora Fort and Agauda Fort were nice places to visit. This place is usually to have fun at beach.

There are plenty of things to do like visiting Mapusa market, anjuna flea market and apora market at the beach

North goa offers you the perfect Hippie culture Goa is Known for. Indulge the day in sight seeing, water sports, sticking to a shack and spending all the long just looking into the water, enjoying the best quality and taste of food, while reserve the night for some real party.

There's a specific lane in North Goa(calingute), which has a series of pubs which are really cheap. It is highly recommended to spend some time here, see what Goa is known for, before preceding to find some relaxation to the south of the state.

Nice beautiful place to explore ....but would require to rent a scooty or car to remain independant and mobile to visit the various far flung places.

Scooty Rental is cheap approx Rs 300 for 24 hours and hardly any hassles associated with it.

North Goa is not a city but a collection of resorts and other sites,The beaches are great for sun loungers but the sea tends to be a bit rough often with an undertow so watch the kids.

However there is more to north Goa, Panajim for example has some good examples of old Portuguese houses and the market is fun. Old Goa and Divar Island make a change from the beach Remember Goa is quite small so get on a bus and spend a day or two in South Goa where there are still some quiet beaches. Take the train and go out of state to Hampi to experience the temples and Palaces of the area.

Funky little beach/ hippy town. Saturday night markets are an experience not to be missed and the weekly Wednesday Anjuna markets are also great to see.

Lots on offer for what ever your holiday needs are

Lovely, lively and happening part of Goa. Baga beach is one of the most vibrant and happening place in north Goa.

Very nice place to visit when u have time. Very cheap place with lot of activities. Friendly nature people and very nice food everywhere.

Nice market. Nice culture and history. Really Love place. You will Love GOA.

Best place to relax and enjoy ....come this place a number of times but u will never get bored.....the best thing about this place

Calangute and Baga beaches are very crowded on holidays - but if you go to lesser known beaches like Anjuna or Candolim, then your stay will be very comfortable and no need to traverse through the crowds.

But either way - beaches are very clean and worth spending 3-4 days lazing in Goa.

good hotel nice service all good good hotel nice service all good good hotel nice service all good

I got very BAD one thing there, as i'm a tourist I want to some exchange cash money , I went to the shop it's near the hotel, I asked him to exchange money, he gave me in not bad rate that I accepted that rate, he gave me in cash 2,000 rupees, but that cash is illegality, the shop in bangalore told me if i use this cash money the police will arrest me SURE.

.SO BAD, PLEASE BE CAREFUL that exchange money shop.

its excellent place for holidays, for following reasons relaxation, full of entertainments, clean city.

Many Russian group tours, the waves is much too strong for the children, south goa is definately a better option, much more relaxed and less crowed groups

North from Calangute and Baga, there are more quiet places. Little towns and beaches, that don't have that much traffic and noise.

If you are looking for a really relaxing trip, take the beaches more south from Panaji.

Though i visited Goa for beaches n sea, i was really fascinated by great architecture of churches. Vegetation n greenery makes this look even better.

North goa beaches are ok n offer water sports, night life, music. Cabs are very expensive and people don't feel ashamed to charge over n above the list prices.

its beautiful place with all convenient amenities, church, historical place.lovely beaches.cleaniness.

It's a beautiful place to visit , people are nice . Beautiful sandy beaches unlike Grand Hyatt... Where you just get to see part of ocean and beach is very stone filled .

Ok for sunshine.

If you looking for a happening night life in a beach town the you should visit North Goa especially Calangute to Baga

If u are visiting Goa, then North Goa is the best place to be, it has some of the best beaches, full of life, awesome eating joints and ofcourse shopping.

Best beaches is Calangute, Baga, Candolim, Anjuna and Vagator... Loved Vagator for some of the spectacular views it has, a must visit place. There are cheap taxis to take you around different places but always ensure to bargain as the asking price is always on the higher end. Important : there are many folks looming around this area giving you some scratch card then asking you to join 90 mins seminar at one of the hotel, this is all gimmick to get you sign in for holidays packages which are nothing but waste of time, please STAY AWAY. We personally wasted 3 hours here since I had no previous info on it, hence sharing with u all.

north goa is full of beaches. i recommend calangute beach, baga beach panaji city, aguada fort, and if possible dudh sagar falls.

Its a place to enjoy the night life and the beaches. This is cost effective when compared to Bangkok and abroad travel.

You can enjoy a life being at abroad at goa. Travelling next month again

SEQUERIUM BEACH IS THE BEST CLEAN, QUIET BEACH TO BE VISITED IN THE AFTERNOON TIME AFTER LUNCH & BAGA BEACH GOOD AT THE EVENING FOR RELAX WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS.

Nightlife at its best and all kind of person u will meet at this place very happening and very active nightlife adventures you can do out there.

Must place to visit atleast once in a life time. Beautiful beaches and friendly people. Nice food, specially if you like sea food and dont miss out the Goan Fish Curry !!!

This place is very good for fun loving people. Also one can find crowdy beaches as well as lonely Beaches as per their interest.

Its crowded, but things from food to drinking are very cheap. most places serve good food and plenty of shopping options are available.

its best to drive your own vehicle here for reaching destinations quickly.

Comprises of great beaches like Calangute,Baga,Candolim,Vagator etc ... Good place for dining, relaxation and nightlife as well.

Place suited for all I should say. Because there is something for everyone.
