It truly is an experience getting this tour through the lovely Barossa Valley. The wineries were so well selected from Medium in size to Boutique. We had small plates during the drive which was nothing less than gourmet!! The trip was full of great information and history plus the flexibility was there as well! Such a memorable day!

This was a real pleasure to learn about the Barossa wines from Jonathon, who has worked in the industry for decades. We enjoyed Jonathon's "Connoisseur Tour" - a full day of tastings at premium wineries. The added touch is the special dish prepared to enhance the wine each stop - truly, a movable feast! Jonathon accommodated our request to stop by a specific winery that had been recommended by friends. A delightful day out.

Well, what a great day we five had in a minibus chauffeured around five great wineries in the Barossa by Jonathan grazing on food all day finishing with cheese platters at the last winery. Nothing was to much trouble for him picking us up from a few different locations in Adelaide and returning us to the same late afternoon. A great day out thanks, Jonathan.

We traveled to the Barossa in October for my husband's 50th Birthday. Jonathan looked after our group of 9 so well! We visited gorgeous wineries with fabulous food to match! Taste the Barossa is a small family-owned company started by myself, Dallas Coull, and my wife, Nikki Coull. We met in 1997 while I was working in Greece and Nikki was on holiday from her home in Nottingham, England. We have three beautiful children, James (23), Georgia (21), and Tamsin (12). I have been involved in tourism in Australia for over 25 years, having previously founded Groovy Grape Getaways and am very proud to still see the Groovy buses travelling between Melbourne, Adelaide and Alice Springs today.

After spending six years in the UK with Nikki, we made the move to Australia in 2009 and started Taste the Barossa. I have a love for the Barossa Valley after spending a great deal of my youth there, with one of my first jobs being on a bottling line in a Barossa Valley Winery.

Adelaide Born, Riverland raised, finding my grounding in the Barossa over the past decade, just made sense.

A minimum of $200 deposit of fee quoted is required to confirm the booking of the tour, with the balance due a minimum of 48 hours before the scheduled departure (or an agreed negotiation of payment by operator). Confirmation will be provided via email.

A 50% of tour cancellation. Penalty applies for client cancellations between 2-7 days notice. Client cancellations with less than 48 hours notice or no-show will incur a 100% cancellation penalty. A full refund will be provided in the case of operator cancellations.

Tours are subject to change without prior notice, including times, itinerary, prices and activities, which are subject to availability and local schedules. Courtesy collection and return to accommodation is included, however extra fees may be incurred for collection and return outside of the Barossa region. Any extra charge for distance of collection is at the operators’ discretion. 

Smoking, eating and alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited on board the tour vehicles at all times. The operator reserves the right to refuse boarding at their discretion. Cleaning fees may apply.

Passengers under the age of 18 are welcome on board at adult prices at the discretion of the operator, however no alcohol component will be provided. Proof of age may be requested from all passengers on board.

Operator reserves the right to the use of alternative vehicles without notice, in the case of unavailability of regular vehicle.

The responsible consumption of alcohol policy applies during all tours and for all customers, and passengers are responsible for their own wellbeing. Tour and travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Bookings at Barossa Unique Tours

All service changes/cancellations will be subject to a minimum $50 AUD cancellation / administration fee. Cancellation notified 30 days or more prior to arrival date will be entitled to a refund of the deposit / money paid less minimum $50 AUD. Full payment is due for bookings within 30 days of arrival date; failure to arrange payment will result in cancellation of the booking. Cancellations notified 30 days or less prior to arrival date and where the guest has entered an agreement to make final payment on the day of arrival the guest remains liable for the full payment. Payment will be invoiced to the guest and / or charged to any security held by this service. Cancellations notified 30 days or less prior to arrival date will forfeit the full deposit / money paid. When a booking has been made 30 days or less prior to arrival date and cancelled the full deposit / money paid will be forfeited.
