With JourneyCart, we planned honeymoon tour to Mauritius. We got a decent hotel booking by Journey Cart. The hotel serves Indian food and it's located in front of Mauritius west coast beach. Mauritius sightseeing was also planned well, with rest day after an activity day. Overall, it was a very good Mauritius experience with Journey Cart's arrangements. Mr. Abhilash Sadhale

Vishal telangre

Journey Cart helped us to make our honeymoon trip to Kerala memorable. Team helped throughout our journey answering all of our queries. Most important aspect of our journey was the driver (and his AC car) who was with us all the time - he was very kind, fluent in English and Hindi and cooperative. Hotels were of extraordinary quality. Meal (dinner and breakfast) quality was also good. About bangkok holidays .

Officially called Krung Thep Maha Nakhon in Thai, Bangkok is both the most populous and the capital city of Thailand. The city is home to an estimated 10.6 million people, which amounts to 15.3% of the country’s entire population. Back in the 15th century, it used to be a small trading post during the time of the Ayutthaya Kingdom. It made rapid progress in the coming years and became a massive centre of modernisation in Siam (later renamed Thailand) in the 19th century. The official language of Bangkok is Thai, however, it is not uncommon to come across locals speaking fluent English in the city streets. The city embraces and highlights a beautiful blend of Thailand’s modern development and diverse culture through its number of tourist attractions, which cover the aspects of architectural wonders, cultural and religious sites, entertainment venues, etc. The main crowd-pullers in the city are The Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Lumpini Park, Wat Traimit, Wat Phra Kaew, etc., most of which you can find in popular Bangkok trip packages. The aspect of shopping in the city is also very popular among tourists, with its main highlights being the Bangkok floating markets, luxury malls, weekend street markets, etc. Bangkok also has amazing nightlife, thanks to its energetic entertainment venues, nightclubs, bars, discos, lounges, restaurants and cafes. The availability of fun activities and luxury accommodations also make this Thai city a great choice for family vacations, trips with friends and honeymoons.

The Bangkok tour packages available on our website enable everyone to turn their dream vacation into a reality. Our exciting range of planned trips is also very budget-friendly and accessible, with Bangkok tour packages available from all major Indian cities, like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Indore, etc. The Bangkok trip cost depends on a lot of factors, including the duration of the trip, tour itinerary, transport and accommodation choices, etc. In general, the Bangkok trip cost for a short vacation can be anywhere around INR 20,000 to 25,000 for a person. As of now, the starting Bangkok tour package price for a 4-night/5-day trip is INR 17,486.

Best time to visit Bangkok

It is vital that you choose the right time for your trip before looking for Bangkok tour packages. Go through the following pointers to find the best month to visit Bangkok for a vacation;

Hot season in Bangkok

The hot season in Bangkok ranges from March to June. The days initially remain clear and sunny, but the frequency of rain slowly starts to increase as May sets in. The average temperature range usually stays between 26°C to 35°C, with April being the hottest month. The hot climate makes outdoor tourist activities very difficult for visitors. Individuals visiting Bangkok during these months prefer spending their time by the nearby beaches. The indoor Bangkok tourist attractions and nightlife are the main highlights of tourism in the hot season. If you are planning on visiting this Thai city during this time, make sure to book accommodations with air conditioning and avoid going outside in the daytime. You won’t have issues finding Bangkok packages scheduled for the hot season.

Rainy season in Bangkok

The rainy or wet season in Bangkok starts around July and ends in October. Heavy rain showers are common occurrences in the city, but they usually happen for a short duration. Thus, the weather conditions continue to remain hot and humid for the most part. The average temperature range glides around the mark between 26°C and 34°C during the day and falls slightly at night. Outdoor exploration and activities take a massive hit due to the unannounced rainfall, which can hamper plans. The tourist crowd during these months remains quite low, which makes it the best season to visit Bangkok on a budget if you can tackle the frequent rainfall and the annoying temperature and humidity. If you are visiting the city during these months, make sure to pack proper rain gear and always carry an umbrella when going out. Despite the low tourist crowd, you can easily find tons of Bangkok trip packages for this season.

Cold season in Bangkok

The cold season, which stretches from November to February, is popularly regarded as the best time to go to Bangkok for holidays. Though considered the cold season, it is by no means freezing.  The weather conditions remain quite pleasant, with an average temperature range of 22°C to 32°C. Keep in mind the temperature drops around the nighttime, so dress accordingly. The season is much more favourable for both indoor and outdoor tourist activities, which is why the city experiences a massive influx of visitors. Some of the main festivals and events during the cold season in Bangkok are Loy Krathong, Royal Barge Procession, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Chinese New Year, etc. Make sure to book flights and accommodations in advance before you visit Bangkok because the cold season is the peak tourism season. It is better to go with Bangkok packages for the cold season if you don’t want to worry about setting up the trip from scratch.

How to reach Bangkok?

While some Bangkok tour packages feature transportation as a standard inclusion, others don’t. So, when planning your trip, it is important you learn about the possible ways to travel to the city without any hassle. Here’s how you can reach Bangkok from India;

Travelling by flight is the best way one can reach Bangkok in Thailand. The city houses two major international airports, namely the Don Mueang Airport and the Suvarnabhumi Airport, located at a distance of 24 km and 35 km, respectively. Both these airports connect Bangkok to major countries and Thai cities via frequent international and domestic flights. You can easily board a flight from a major Indian city and reach Bangkok, Thailand, in just a few hours. For instance, a direct flight from Kolkata, India, to Don Mueang Intl-Bangkok, Thailand, takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes. After landing at the airport, individuals can simply opt for ground transport (bus, taxi, airport shuttle, rail, etc.) to continue their journey to the Bangkok city centre. While some Bangkok packages offer round trip or optional flights, others may not. So, make sure to look for Bangkok trip packages that meet your travel requirements.

Even though tourists can travel to Bangkok from India by road, it is not usually recommended. The journey is very tedious, requires a lot of paperwork and permits and will take a lot of days to complete. Individuals can also choose to fly to any other Thai city from India and continue their journey to Bangkok by road in a taxi or rental car. A popular route includes flying to U-Tapao-Rayong-Pattaya International Airport from India and then travelling to Bangkok by road in a taxi, which takes around 2 hours to complete. Individuals can also opt for bus travel to Bangkok from nearby Thai cities. Road journey to Bangkok is usually not included in most Bangkok tour packages.

One can not reach Bangkok by train from any Indian city because there’s no direct rail route connecting these two locations. However, tourists already in Thailand can make use of the local rail system to reach Bangkok from its nearby cities. The central railway station in Bangkok is called Hua Lamphong, which is served by both intercity and international trains. This railway system connects Bangkok with many important locations, such as Surat Thani, Chiang Mai, Nong Khai, Ayutthaya and even border nations like Cambodia, Laos and Malaysia. However, it is better to go with the India to Bangkok tour package plan that includes flights for the most convenient travel experience.

  • Bangkok has the world’s largest gold Buddha statue. Officially named “Phra Phuttha Maha Suwana Patimakon”, this statue is located in Wat Traimit and is around 3 metres tall and weighs 5.5 tons.
  • As Bangkok resembles the city of Venice through its remarkable system of canals, it has earned the title of the “Venice of the East”.
  • Due to the rise in sea levels, the city of Bangkok is slowly sinking at a rate of 2-3 centimetres every year.
  • A very interesting fact about Bangkok is that the temples engraved on the back of the official Thai Baht coins can all be found in the capital city. For instance, the 1 THB coin features Wat Phra Kaew, the 2 THB coin features Wat Saket, the 5 THB coin features Wat Benjamabophit, and the 10 THB coin features Wat Arun. All these renowned Watts are standard inclusions in most Bangkok packages.
  • As per the World Meteorological Organisation, Bangkok is the hottest city in the world in terms of the average air temperature throughout the year, which is 28°C.
  • In addition to washrooms for males and females, Bangkok features designated washrooms for a third gender.
  • Alongside giant skyscrapers and modern architecture, individuals can find tons of temples in Bangkok. For reference, the city has way over 400 Wats (a Thai word for temples), and the most popular ones are Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Wat Saket, Wat Trimit, Wat Mahathat, etc. Most Bangkok holiday packages include these tourist attractions under sightseeing.
  • Bangkok has more than 15 floating markets, which also act as major tourist attractions and shopping destinations in the city.

Bangkok culture

The beauty of Bangkok's tourism lies within its diverse culture. It is a city where the old and the new co-exist beautifully instead of becoming two contrasting features. One of the most important aspects of Bangkok’s cultural life is religion. Buddhism is the most followed religion in the city. Bangkok features numerous religious landmarks in the form of monasteries and temples. These sites also serve as an outstanding example of the traditional Thai art, culture and architecture. In society, it is expected to dress appropriately when visiting places of respect, like temples, and removing shoes before entering. Most of Thailand’s visual arts, painting, literature, folklore, dance, poetry, music, etc., are also prominently seen in the city and its surrounding region. The love and respect towards the monarch is also very apparent in Bangkok. Individuals can find pictures and posters of the royal family on many public walls in the city. Also, the King’s anthem is played at the start of all movie screenings, plays and cultural performances in the city. The law requires individuals to stand up while this anthem is playing and refrain from making fun of the monarch. Fairs, festivals and popular events are major highlights of Bangkok’s culture and celebratory outlook. Some of these events include the likes of Songkran, the King’s Birthday, Loy Krathong, etc., which are well-known Bangkok attractions for tourists. The other aspects of Bangkok’s culture are also not so different from other parts of Thailand. So, alongside browsing through popular Bangkok holiday packages, make sure to learn about the local culture and traditions of the place.

Indian tourists visiting Bangkok are required to have a valid Thailand visa in order to enter the country for tourism purposes. Indian nationals who want to enter Bangkok only for tourism purposes and not for more than 2 weeks are eligible for the visa-on-arrival feature. You can obtain your visa on arrival for Thailand at both the international airports (DMK and BKK) in Bangkok. As for other purposes, individuals are required to apply for a Thailand visa prior to their Bangkok trip. Some popular Bangkok packages can also handle the aspect of a visa for your trip.

Foreign currency for Bangkok visit

The official Bangkok currency is called the Thai Baht. It is denoted by the code “THB” and the sign “฿”. One Thai Baht can further be divided into 100 satangs. Individuals visiting Bangkok will need to acquire sufficient Bangkok currency (Thai Baht) for their trip as it is the only accepted currency in the city and other parts of the country. As of now, the Bangkok currency to INR value is 1 THB = 2.33 INR. Individuals can get foreign exchange for their Bangkok trip both in the form of cash or a prepaid forex travel card. For this purpose, tourists can easily make use of the online foreign exchange service offered by Thomas Cook. To do so, visit the foreign exchange page by Thomas Cook, select the check rate, currency type, forex amount and denomination, and enter your communication details to get a quote. After that, complete the online payment and choose the preferred delivery method. Soon, you will receive the order receipt and your foreign currency for the Bangkok trip.

Bangkok Pattaya Tour Packages from India

Places to visit on bangkok.

Bangkok is a city that delivers on one’s expectation for being the capital city of Thailand. It is exciting, vibrant, crowded in parts, and overall a great experience. One can visit temples, ancient sites, modern malls and so much more. It is not surprising then that Bangkok can prove to be overwhelming to quite a few visiting tourists. However, this fascinating city is an excellent example that beautifully showcases Southeast Asia’s tension between the developed and developing worlds. This city also makes for the perfect gateway to other points of interest like Phuket, Chiang Mai, and many more. Following are some key places of interest worth visiting

Sea life Bangkok - Sea life Bangkok makes for a world class outing and one that should not be missed out on in your Bangkok Pattaya package . One can get up close and personal with the species that are on show here through a 270 degree glass tunnel. Tourists can also enjoy checking out the vast array of creatures here aboard a glass bottomed boat. It is a massive aquarium featuring more than 400 types of fish. The aquarium is divided into 2 theme zones, imaginative Shark Walk, which allows visitors to walk over a tank with five different types of sharks swimming in it. And the Seahorse Kingdom shows a wide range of unique seahorses. Visitors can also watch the 4D cinema and indulge in boat rides.  Grand Palace - If you are facing a time crunch, then it is the one major historical tourist attraction we recommend that you don’t miss. It was constructed back in 1782, and since then the Grand Palace has been a royal residence of the king of Siam. Every visitor marvels at its magnificent Thai architecture. The vast palace has many divisions and subdivisions. However, the main two divisions are the emerald temple of buddha and royal residency. There is a museum that represents a wealth of information and insight about the royal palace, which is also a must-visit on your Thailand Bangkok Pattaya tour package . It is advised that tourists dress modestly when visiting the royal compound as sloppy attire is not acceptable here. Chatuchak Market - The Chatuchak Market is a sprawling semi outdoor weekend market. It is the largest of its kind in the entire world. Tourists will find everything here, from jewellery to street foods, this market has got it all. This market is home to over 15,000 stalls. As a result of that, you can be sure to find anything your heart desires. What’s more? All of these commodities are sold at incredibly competitive rates so you can rest assured that products sold here have excellent value for money. Given its nature, it makes for a great spot to interact with the locals. We recommend you clear a day just for this market as it truly offers that much to take in. With vibrant sights and sounds, this market is a no brainer addition to your Bangkok and Pattaya packages . Terminal 21 - With a name like Terminal 21, tourists might shrug off this airport stop sounding like attraction. However, we advise you to not shrug your shoulders and turn away from this amazing shopping hub. Terminal 21 makes for the best place in Bangkok to shop for both local and international brands. Each floor here is themed in line with an international city. One can move from Paris to Tokyo to London with every floor! Other themes to be seen here include the Caribbean, San Francisco and Istanbul. We also recommend you check out other malls like the Siam Paragon and Siam Discovery adjacent to it. Shopping hubs like Terminal 21 are sure to satiate even the most ravenous shopaholics out there which makes it a worthwhile addition to your Bangkok and Pattaya tour packages . Wat Pho - If you don’t mind a bit more walking then the Wat Pho is an excellent addition to your palace tour. It was built by King Rama I and is the oldest temple in Bangkok. It has long been considered as a - “ place of healing ”. It has historically been famous for its pharmacy and also because of the country’s first university that was established here. As it stands today, Wat Pho is best known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. This is a large ( 45 metre long and 15 metre high ) statue. It is so large in fact that it cannot be viewed in its entirety. The statues' soles are inlaid with precious stones and make for a pretty sight. The statue’s earlobes signify noble birth in addition to the lotus configuration of the hand used to signify purity and beauty. This key attraction should definitely be included in your Bangkok Pattaya travel package .

Places To Visit on Pattaya

Pattaya is a vibrant beach resort town that has built quite a reputation over the years. Located at a mere 200 KM from Bangkok, it makes for an ideal place to head to have sun, sand, and sea filled adventures. With a tumultuous history, this once sleepy town has transformed into a world class tourist destination ever since its discovery in the Vietnam War by the US troops. In the modern day and age, it has transformed into one of the most well known beach destinations in Southeast Asia. With a push by the local government to make it more appealing to families, one can find all types of attractions here. There is definitely no shortage of engaging sites here - ranging from water parks and aquariums to quiet beaches like the Jomtien. So, it is safe to say that Pattaya certainly brings a lot to the table. We are sure this has got you in the mood to add some key attractions in Pattaya to your Bangkok Pattaya tour package from India . So, following are some places worth visiting in Pattaya:-

Sanctuary Of Truth - Sanctuary of Truth is an iconic structure wrapped in teak wood. It is billed as - "the magnificence of heaven recreated on Earth". This awe-inspiring architecture is one of a kind monument in the world. The hybrid structure of this monument was designed to promote philosophy, art, culture, and faith. The main themes that artworks reflect here deal with the cycle of life, Utopia, and humanity’s relationship with the universe. If you do head here, then we suggest you also check out the Thai cultural shows, try some elephant treks or even horseback riding. If you are on your Bangkok Pattaya tour , spare some time to appreciate the true Thai craftsmanship of this monument. The sanctuary of truth makes for a fantastic addition to your Bangkok Pattaya package . Nong Nooch Tropical Garden - Pronounced as “ Nung Nut”, the Nong Nooch tropical garden is a beautiful theme park. You can easily visit this location for an entire day. There are several theme based gardens here. There include - a European Renaissance garden, a 17th century French garden, and lastly species- specific garden which feature tropical palms, succulents, and bonsai. The aesthetically designed theme park hosts daily cultural shows, concerts, etc. Key among these are the traditional Thai dancing, Thai kickboxing, and sword fighting. These are sure to entertain people of all age groups. Take a stroll around the botanical garden, or witness the diverse species of plants and appreciate the manicured shrubs. You can also indulge in activities like cycling and paddle boating here. Needless to say, these tropical gardens are a great addition to your Bangkok Pattaya tour package . Chao Phraya River - Chao Phraya river is another incredible river in Pattaya. Also known as the kings of the river. The river starts from north of Thailand and travels south to finally enter the Bangkok Bay. Besides being one of the most famous rivers of the country, it also serves as a significant mode of transport, and the nerve centre of the economy of the nation and society. It comprises various tributaries such as the Ping, nan, and the Yom River. Go on a cruise dinner date and reunite love amidst the pristine river. Or surprise your bae with a date on the cruise. To know more about the packages, check out Bangkok Pattaya travel packages offered at Pickyourtrail and experience the magic yourself. Coral Island - The coral island is an idyllic location of Pattaya, away from the bustling crowd. A ferry ride from Pattaya street will take you to the pristine beach. The coral island is 7.5 kilometres west of Pattaya Beach. The beach features sandy white sands with plenty of food stalls. There are plenty of loungers on the beach for you to relax on. In addition to that, you can also indulge in parasailing and speedboats. To experience the fun, check out our Bangkok Pattaya packages right away. Each of the beaches has something unique about it. For example. The Nual Beach is home to delightful and curious monkeys. The beaches at Samae and Tawaen feature several resorts. The Coral islands make for a popular place to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of Pattaya. It is for this reason that it makes for a good addition to your Bangkok Pattaya trip packages . Madame Tussauds - Ever dreamt of shaking hands with famous Thai celebrities and sportsmen? Madame Tussauds is a famous wax museum. Located in the Royal Garden Mall, the museum is divided into four zones, featuring the world pioneers from history, art, science, sports, music, red carpet leaders, etc. These include ( and are not limited to ) - Michael Jackson, Barrack Obama etc. There are also pop culture references here, these range from superheroes to characters from JK Rowling’s beloved Harry Potter franchise The best part is that you will find figures of your hand wax sculpted in your favourite colour at the exit. You can make some truly great memories at this museum, this makes it an amazing addition to your Bangkok and Pattaya holiday packages .

Sample 6-day Bangkok Pattaya Itinerary

Day 1: bangkok exploration.

Immerse yourself in the history of Bangkok right at the doorstep of the Grand Palace and begin your day. Be amazed at the skillfully crafted architecture and pay respect to the magnificent Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Visit Wat Arun, a temple on the riverside which in English is named the Temple of Dawn. Climb the tower in the middle to take in the scenic views of the city skyline. At night, drift along the colourful streets of Bangkok with delectable street food and enthusiastic crowds to get a feel of the city’s buzzy charm.

Day 2: Feel the Cultural Liveliness of Bangkok and Pattaya

Begin your day with a visit to one of the famous floating markets, e.g. Damnoen Saduak, or Amphawa and take a boat ride along the meandering canals. Float on the canals while visiting different food stalls; all of them selling fresh produce, souvenirs, and tasty treats. After touring the floating markets, sail to the scenic Pattaya town, where you can soak in the sun to your heart's content and even party the night away in style. After a long day, on arrival in Pattaya, settle into your hotel and allow the events of the day to accumulate within.

Day 3: The Nirvana in Pattaya for Nature Lovers: Coastline Getaway

Relax and rejuvenate at Pattaya Beach. Eat up your time while sunbathing on the sands totally white, swimming in the waters that are as blue as the azure, or being adventurous and enjoying water sports such as snorkelling and parasailing. If you prefer a bit of luxury, a beachside massage might be the pampering you enjoy, or gracing local restaurants which are lining the shore with fresh seafood.

Day 4: Cultural Immersion and Shopping - Experience Pattaya

Make the Sanctuary of Truth the first stop of your trip. The wooden temple, famous for its cultural heritage, is an example of traditional Thai craftsmanship.  When the Sanctuary of Truth is studied for the day, let the afternoon pass by shopping for souvenirs and local handicrafts at Pattaya's lively bazaars and large malls. In the evening, allow feeling the electric nature of the nightlife of Pattaya, which contains bars, clubs and cultural performances along with cabaret shows of their own.

Day 5: Goodbye To Bangkok and Pattaya

Wake up slowly to a relaxing breakfast in the hotel followed by goodbye to the city of Bangkok and Pattaya.
