Unfortunately no really explanation about the spots, even if you ask for it. You get a paper flyer of Belogradchick fortress from the entrance office and less sentences in broken English about the spots. Apart from this: In Belogradchick you can’t pay by card or EUR only in Lew. (Including the restaurant). Unfortunately the clients will not be informed about this important issue. On the back tour I was asking to stop somewhere, that I can buy somewhere water, because I felt sick. Only after 2 hours she stopped and was annoyed by my request. This attitude is frightening! We ended up being the only ones who had booked that evening, so it pretty much became a private tour of Sofia! The tour guide (Denitsa) gave us a lot of insights into the history of Bulgaria. The dinner at the end was really good! But you must call in advance and confirm dietary restrictions as the food is prepared by the time you arrive. The most interesting and significant cultural monument in a historical aspect in Belogradchik is the "Kaleto" fortress. It is one of the best preserved fortresses in the country and a cultural monument of national importance. This ancient fortress was built among impenetrable rocks, when the Bulgarian state was not formed, and the Balkan Peninsula was within the boundaries of the Roman Empire. The other couple spoke Spanish and we only spoke English. Our guide, Filip, was amazing the entire day, and exceeded our expectations. Filip conveyed so much information about the sights, in both Spanish and English, alternating between the two languages easily so both couples felt up-to-date with understanding the history of what was in front of us. We were picked up from our hotel in Sofia in a spacious Mercedes that was very clean and comfortable. Rvi was our driver and she was very patient and careful, especially when it poured while we were in transit and other drivers were doing silly things on the road. We thoroughly recommend this day trip, for seeing the old Veliko Tarnovo palace - fortress, the colourful Church of the Nativity and an old traditional house in Arbanasi. Denisa was our tour guide and she was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing the history of Sofia. She also gave us some hints and tips of places to go while touring the city. The visit to the Bulgarian restaurant was interesting. Shopska salad followed by roast chicken and potatoes and a dessert. There were folk dancers and musicians which were entertaining. We then went outside for more entertainment. Denisa stayed with us for the evening so we got to know her quite well. I tried to phone the company with the phone number given on the reservation, but no one picked the receiver up. The worst is: they refuse to pay my money back, saying that i did not show up. And saying that they tried to reach me by phone and my phone was switched off...it is true that they tried to call me, about five (!) hours after the pick up time. they didn't leave any message on the mailbox, and, anyway, what is the purpose/sense in calling 5 hours after pick up time????? I never experienced a company whose guide/driver did not show up, who didn't pick up the phone, and who say that is the fault of the customer and they will not pay the money back. Walmart Is Selling 'Comfortable' $20 Linen Shorts Similar to a Nordstrom Style That's 3x the Price

Walmart has been impressing shoppers in many departments, but especially with their clothing and shoes. From workout rompers to soft shorts , Walmart has some good lookalike products that rival high-end brands. One of their linen-blend shorts from Sofia Vergara’s clothing line is a perfect example, as it’s chic and looks so much like a style sold at Nordstrom that’s three times the price.

Sofia Jeans Women's and Women's Plus Linen Blend Paperbag Shorts . These $20 bottoms are pretty straightforward paperbag shorts, meaning that they pleat at the top, almost like a bag would. They have a 4.25-inch inseam, so they fall at about mid-thigh or right above it. As its name suggests, it’s made of a linen blend of 55% linen and 45% rayon for the outer part of the shorts. The lining is made from 100% polyester.

Sofia Jeans Women's and Women's Plus Linen Blend Paperbag Shorts , $20 at Walmart

These shorts have a high-rise fit, two pockets and belt loops. The pair comes with an adjustable O-ring belt that is the same color as the shorts. There are two colors or patterns to choose from: a solid “whisper white” or “opera mauve,” which is a pink, purple and orange print of big, tropical leaves. They also come in sizes XS through 5X, so the line has pretty great size inclusivity too.

So far, there are only 22 reviews, but it has a 4.6-star rating, which is promising. And the reviews the shorts do have are also favorable.

"Good buy," one person titled their review. "Elastic back made it comfortable. Flattering fit and lightweight."

Another person wrote that the shorts are “lovely” and they’re “very impressed” by them.

“They are a linen blend and look much more expensive,” they went on to write. “True to size… flattering high waist. The inseam was a smidge longer than I like, but they look nice cuffed as well, which makes them the perfect length for me."

MANGO’s Belted Linen Shorts , which are $59.99 at Nordstrom. The MANGO shorts don’t have a paperbag style, exactly, but the cut and fit of the shorts are nearly the same. They also come with a belt with a statement buckle (but this one is rectangular and not an “O”). They are 100% linen and seem to fall at about the same length as Walmart’s.

Sofia Jeans Women's and Women's Plus Linen Blend Paperbag Shorts seem like an instant purchase if you’re looking for stylish summer shorts. You can dress them up or down, and the fact that they’re so similar to the more expensive MANGO shorts is reason alone to snatch them up before they’re gone.

Sofia Kenin vs Laura Siegemund preview

Former World No. 4 Sofia Kenin will be eager to go deep in Paris after a respectable comeback season in 2023. The American takes on Germany's Laura Siegemund in the first round of this year's French Open on Sunday (May 26).

Kenin was one of the top players on the WTA Tour at the beginning of the 2020s. She won her maiden Major title at the Australian Open in 2020 against all odds, before reaching a career-high ranking of No. 4 the same year.

Just when the young star was starting to look like a consistent contender for the big titles, she fell down the rankings due to form issues and injuries in 2021-22. The 25-year-old has picked herself well since then, though, returning to the WTA top 50 rankings last year.

Laura Siegemund, meanwhile, has done well for herself in what are veteran years of her career. While the German reached a career-high ranking of No. 4 earlier this year, she hasn't caused damage in singles in a long time.

Siegemund gave a respectable account of herself during this year's European claycourt swing. The 36-year-old won both of her BJK Cup qualifier matches against Brazil and also reached the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 event in Zurich.

Siegemund has an opposite approach to the game compared to Kenin. The German serves and volleys frequently, which is made possible by an accurate first serve. Having said that, her groundstrokes are a bit lightweight and might be undermined by her younger opponent.
