Vince Gill has set an 18-date solo tour for this summer, marking his first solo outing since 2019, the same year he released his Okie album. Gill has been on tour as part of the Eagles since 2017, but will set out on his own solo shows when the group’s spring dates wrap at the end of June.

The tour launches July 7 in Greensboro, N.C., and visits cities including Oklahoma City and Memphis, Tenn., before wrapping at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre on Aug. 28.

Opening for Gill is Wendy Moten, a former competitor on NBC’s The Voice . Moten has also toured extensively with Gill for many years, and they were both members of the Nashville collective The Time Jumpers. Moten earned a pop hit with 1994’s “Come In Out of the Rain.” Moten has also toured with Julio Iglesias, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Martina McBride. Gill also produced Moten’s recent album I’ve Got You Covered .

“I’ve always enjoyed sharing a stage with Wendy, whether she was singing harmonies for me, or when we were in The Time Jumpers together. It’s always been my wish that more of the world could hear her, so being able to feature her each night of this tour is something I look forward to.”

Also joining Gill onstage will be steel guitar player Paul Franklin, drummer Billy Thomas, bassist Jimmy Sloas and keyboardist John Jarvis.

In December, Gill will team up again with wife Amy Grant for their tradition of Nashville holiday shows at the Ryman Auditorium.

The Eagles (with Vince Gill) Extend 2023 Tour

vince gill tour schedule 2023

The Eagles - who once said they'd only reunite if Hell froze over - revealed plans for more shows to spotlight their Hotel California album this year.

And, as he has done for the last several years, country icon Vince Gill is joining them. Other members include Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit. The men will guide the touring band, orchestra and choir through the "Hotel California" album that was released in 1976 and a few of the band's greatest hits.

When Gill started playing with the group after Glenn Frey passed away, Gill endured a significant amount of venom from fans who didn't believe he should be on stage with the group. Frey died in 2016, and Gill started playing with The Eagles in 2017.

"Because Glenn was a great friend, and in my heart of hearts, I wish I wasn't doing it," Gill said during an interview at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum. "That would mean Glenn would still be around, but life is what it is, and you just go do what you can do because of what happens. Those songs deserve to live on as long as they can."

Frey's son Deacon Frey also played with The Eagles but won't be on the new concert dates.

Six new shows have been tacked on to the 2023 tour dates originally announced in November of 2021. The Eagles will now play 13 shows in 2023, including stops in California, Oregon, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The tour is currently set to end April 7.

Tickets for these new Hotel California Tour dates will go on sale January 13 at 10 a.m. local time.

Amy Grant & Vince Gill Christmas at the Ryman

  • Date & Time Nov 29 - Dec 21 , 2024 7:30 PM
  • On Sale On Sale Now
  • Ticket Pricing $50.00 - $150.00

Amy Grant & Vince Gill Christmas at the Ryman

Multi-platinum-selling artists Amy Grant and Vince Gill have announced their return to Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium in 2024 for their 14th annual “Christmas at the Ryman” residency. The 12-concert run at the Ryman is scheduled for Nov. 29-30, Dec. 1, 15, 17-18 and 20-21 and will once again feature matinee performances.

For many years, the “Christmas at the Ryman” shows have been the ultimate holiday tradition, with music fans from across the country and around the world flocking to the historic venue to hear two of Nashville’s most cherished performers. Last year, Grant and Gill celebrated their 100th “Christmas at the Ryman” show during their sold-out residency, making them the first artists to headline 100 shows at the Ryman. In years past, the duo has filled the show with Christmas favorites such as “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “O Holy Night,” “Tennessee Christmas,” and “Winter Wonderland.”

About Amy Grant: Amy Grant's career spans more than 40 years and stretches from her roots in gospel into becoming an iconic pop star, songwriter, television personality and philanthropist. With three multi-platinum albums, six platinum albums and four gold albums, her total career album sales have exceeded 30 million and over 1 billion global streams. Grant’s chart success has been consistent throughout her career with six No. 1 hits, 10 Top 40 pop singles, 17 Top 40 Adult Contemporary tracks and multiple Contemporary Christian chart-toppers. In addition to her six Grammy® Awards, Grant has earned 26 GMA Dove Awards (including four Artist of the Year Awards) and has been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well as the Music City Walk of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Conventional wisdom has it that Grant put Contemporary Christian Music on the map becoming the first Contemporary Christian artist to have a platinum record, the first to hit No. 1 on the Pop charts and the first to perform at the Grammy Awards. With that, her legacy as one of the most influential artists of the past four decades is assured.  In 2020, the T.J. Martell Foundation – the music industry’s leading nonprofit to fund innovative medical research focused on treatments and cures for cancer – honored Grant with the Tony Martell Outstanding Entertainment Achievement Award at their annual Honors Gala. Most recently, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts included Grant as one of their five distinguished Honorees to receive the 45th Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements. In 2023, Grant toured in 70 cities across the country and released her first new music in a decade, starting with the single "Trees We'll Never See,” (March) and "What You Heard" (April).  Grant released her latest project , Lead Me On Live 1989  in October 2023 which is a full-concert documentation from the 1988-1989 Lead Me On Tour .  Grant finished the year with two Christmas Tours including dates with Michael W. Smith as well as the annual Christmas At The Ryman residency with Vince Gill which celebrated over 100 headline shows at the Ryman, the first co-headliners to mark this incredible milestone.  Currently, Grant is on tour playing 33 shows in this spring, including two headlining shows at the Ryman Auditorium over Mother’s Day weekend.  Grant will release the long-sought after Songs From The Loft  album, originally released in 1993, for the first time on digital formats on March 22 and will begin recording her next musical project for release later in the year.

About Vince Gill: One of the most popular artists in modern country music, Vince Gill is famous for his top-notch songwriting, world-class guitar playing and warm, soaring tenor, all wrapped up in a quick and easy wit. Gill achieved his big breakthrough in 1990 with “When I Call Your Name,” which won both the Country Music Association’s (CMA) Single and Song of the Year awards as well as a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance, Male. In total, Gill has won 18 CMA Awards, 22 Grammy Awards, and 8 Academy of Country Music Awards. In 1991, Gill was invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and in 2007 was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. In 2012 he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. A gifted songwriter, Gill’s compositions earned him entry into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005 and was awarded the prestigious BMI Icon award in 2014. Throughout his career he has released 21 albums, sold over 30 million albums, and charted 45 singles. In 2022, Gill was inducted into the Musician’s Hall of Fame.  Always considering himself a musician above all else, Gill has over the years been a part of some iconic bands including Pure Prairie League, The Notorious Cherry Bombs, and The Time Jumpers.  In 2017 Gill was asked to join the Eagles on the road and continues to be a part of that historic band’s tour.

Eagles at co-op live - list of banned items and rules for manchester shows.

Eagles fans have been waiting for months for this moment but tonight, the American rockers will finally take to the stage at Co-op Live .

They'll be playing in the city for an epic five nights as part of their huge farewell tour . Named the "Long Goodbye", fans can expect to hear some of their biggest hits, from Hotel California and One of These Nights, to Life in the Fast Lane and Desperado.

Currently made up of Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, Eagles are one of the most successful musical acts of all time, with a musical repertoire spanning five decades and 200 million record sales globally. They'll be supported on stage by The Doobie Brothers after the original support, Steely Dan, dropped out.

READ MORE: Eagles at Co-op Live Manchester - set times, support, set list, parking and everything you need to know

Their farewell tour was confirmed back in July 2023 with the band describing their time in music as a "miraculous 52-year odyssey", but said that the time had come to "close the circle".

They added: "We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this band and its music. At the end of the day, you are the reason we have been able to carry on for over five decades. This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on.”

The tour kicked off in September 2023 at Madison Square Garden in New York, and has covered much of North America. The five dates at Manchester's Co-op Live are their only in the UK before they move on to the city of Arnhem in the Netherlands.

Here's a full round-up of what you can and can't take to the shows, and more info on what you can and can't do at the gigs too. Taking your own food and drink into the arena is not allowed - but there are lots of food and drink options available.

As there will be security checks, the advice is to get there early to make sure you're inside in plenty of time for the show to start.

Can you take a bag in?

Co-op Live operates on a one bag per person policy . Small handbags are permitted as long as they are no larger than A4 in size. However, large bags, like backpacks and laptop bags, will not be allowed.

There will be limited bag storage on site priced from £15. This facility is located on Sir Howard Bernstein Way - opposite Gate J in the Orange Car Park on the Etihad Campus.

Can you take your own food and drink?

Food and beverage (including containers for storing food and beverage) are not allowed unless certain exceptions outlined in Co-op Live's T&Cs.

If you need to bring anything from outside because of special dietary or medical requirements, you are advised to contact the venue in advance of your visit and speak to staff at the door on arrival.

There are several refillable water points across the arena for you to use, and you may bring in an empty small collapsible water bottle.

With a number of bars and stalls inside the venue, there's a wide variety of food and drink options. Pies and burgers form part of the food menu, whilst there will be your usual selection of beers, soft drinks and wine available from the bars dotted around the venue.

Whilst the venue will eventually have 32 bars, restaurants and lounges, not all of these spaces are fully complete as of yet. You can see some of the food and drinks prices here but, head's up, you're looking at paying £8.95 for a pint and £11.50 for a burger.

What can you not take into the Co-op Live arena?

If you are going to the Co-op Live arena you are required to agree to a personal or item search.

Members of staff can remove items such as: food, glass, bottles, cans, alcohol, large umbrellas, lighters, disposable vapes, professional cameras, plastic bottle tops, and recording equipment.

Devices like laptops, iPads, Go Pros, and similar items are also not allowed, unless pre-approved for medical reasons. Assistance dogs are the only animals permitted inside the venue.

Other banned items include:

And any other item which in their reasonable opinion, may cause danger or disruption to any event or other visitors (regardless of whether such item is illegal or is carried for specific purposes).

Any changes to the list above on an event-by-event basis will be clearly detailed on the event page.

Can you smoke?

Co-op Live is a no smoking venue, including all e-cigarettes and vapes. If you are attending an event, you can’t leave and re-enter once you’ve gone through the ticket check.

Can you use cash in the venue?

Co-op Live is a cashless venue. All payments must be made by contactless, card, and the venue also accepts Apple and Google Pay.
