Wonderful but expensive.

I usually travel with Color Line from Kristiansand even if i live in Stavanger. Since i have an annual card there witch makes it cheaper to travel back and fourth to my holiday home in Sæby DK . But sometimes i take Fjordline and this time i enjoyed a werry nice lunch from Kristiansand to Hirtshals. But i would appreciate if Fjordline had more wallue for money and more different things in tax free. This because its to expensive in Dk currency. And also the possibility to buy a annual travel card including car. Last year i traveled more then 45 return trips with Color Line and then it it wallue for money.

Stavanger to Bergen in the Fjord Lounge

As a Marine Adviser for pipe laying operations offshore Indonesia I was looking forward to this trip. We booked the Fjord Lounge and also breakfast. Breakfast was amazing!! The Fjord Lounge was very comfortable with hot drinks and juices available on a complimentary basis. I’m used to airline business class travel do would like to suggest perhaps that biscuits and soft drinks would be appreciated as well. For the first half of the voyage tables were left with dirty cups and glasses as no staff came in. A family of four simply left their luggage when they left the lounge. I think in conclusion the Fjord Lounge might be better if there was a staff presence from time to time. A welcome might be appreciated as passengers enter the lounge. A shuttle bus in Stavanger from the Railway Station might have saved our £50 approximate taxi fare. A wonderful ship - many thanks.

Crossing to Stavanger

The effectiveness of the boarding and direction, combined with Fjord Stavanger being such a clean and well presented vessel made this an enjoyable voyage.

Nobody responds to e-mails

Nobody responds to the customer support e-mail. Bulgarian mobile numbers do not receive SMSes, they obviously have a problem with their SMS API. I managed to validate a number from another country but even then the "Become member for free" button still stays greyed out. Their website is an absolute joke!!! https ://ibb.co/ P1LM8r0

From Kristiansand to Hirshtals. 8 hour delay due to bad weather & cancellations the previous days. We received the information on the same day, 4 hours before the due departure. Extra 1 hour waiting time on the already 8 hour delayed time. We arrived in Denmark at 2 am in the morning. Never again.

Great travel experience

We recently traveled from Hirtshals to Bergen (overnight) and return from Kristiansand to Hirtshals. Family of 4. Both was positive experiences. Cabins for sleeping was nice and clean. Breakfast buffet was great. Only improvement could be easier check-in. It is very slow and inconvenient that you have to arrive min. 1H before departure. But that said, I look forward traveling with Fjord line in the future.

Recommend booking the buffet

We booked the lunch buffet for our trip and it was the best decision ever. First you have seats for the whole trip no need to worry about rushing somewhere and staying so the seat won’t be taken. Second the value for money ratio is very good and the food was so tasty. Even a lot of vegetarian options. The only thing that would have made it even better is some cut fruit (instead of whole) Thank you for this amazing trip! We will remember it well

FjordLine is the best!

FjordLine is the best ferry company ever. Very professional staff. I use the service on Oslofjord ferry between Sandefjord and Strømstad many times (also with my family). The food both at breakfast buffet and at Dinner buffet is always amazing by choice and quality. There are also good options for children on board. Really excellent👌

Delays and poor communication is standard

From Denemarken to Norway, Hirthals to Kristiansand. Extra waiting time at boarding 45 minutes, same on the way back. Leaving one hour later according to the original schedule. No information or communication. On the boat instead of two hours and 15 minutes they just mention it is a 3 and 15 minutes trip. Total delay two hours and 15 minutes same on the way back. No apologies whatsoever.

10 years with satisfaction

We have been using Fjord Line from Bergen to Hirtshals for the last 10 years or so, and we are very pleased with their service. Friendly crew, clean and lovely cabins, efficient loading and unloading, very good food, and a very fine restaurant «Edvard Grieg». Once we had to cancel our trip just a few days befor departure, and we got the refund on the same day. All in all, our impression is that this is a company that does its very best to satisfy its customers

Good experience

Good experience, food and service Bergen - Hirtshals twice this autumn and Hirtshals - Kristiansand once = More than 5 000 nok. BUT I DO NOT GET ANY OF THE JUBILEUMS-TILBUD-FORDELER. So maybe I better take a plane the next time. I am from Bergen. I study in Aalborg, 1 hour from Hirtshals. Even Fanebust.

Good prices when booking early with…

Good prices when booking early with car. Very nice food and cabins are just right. There should be much more content on the boats, especially when they compete with Color Line. Color Line offers much more, but have to high prices on packages including car, and no offers. Overall compared with the price, very satisfied. Fjord Line is much more boat travel with car and not cruise compared with Color Line.

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!

> Available for 3 hours a day > Somehow moving back in line when calling (#12 to #15) > Ends first call when wanting a confirmation that she entered the correct license plate > Confirmation mail never arrives > Call again, she repeats the license plate correctly > Get confirmation mail, but they have entered the wrong license plate.. I feel scammed.

misinformation to keep you fro cancelling

We had paid and booked our ticket two months before - Hirtshals-Kristianssand. We were cancelled due to bad weather and asked for the alternative voyage which was promised us. When we got to the ferry at 8:00 having travelled since 4 o’clock with two toddlers, we were told the ferry was full and the next ferry left the next day. Such ambiguous con-man like information is only designed to keep People from not cancelling the trip alltogether. Since we were already in Hirtshals our other options were depleted and the only thing we could do was to pay for a hotel ( on a tight budget, by The way) and wait for the next ferry. By the way we had booked for Kristianssand and got a ferry to Langesund, which meant additional 2 hours drive.

The Fjord Line ships, MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord, travel daily from Bergen to Stavanger through exceptionally beautiful natural landscapes. Sailing directly from the Port of Bergen in the city centre, Fløyen, Ulriken and the other city mountains along the fjord provide a bewitching backdrop as we make our way to beautiful Haugalandet, where the distance between the open sea to islets, archipelagos and deep fjords is minimal.  The ship sails in inshore waters for the entire voyage, so you're never far from natural landscapes or landmarks. For example, when sailing from Bergen you can see Askøybroen (Askøy Bridge) and Sotrabrua (Sotra Bridge), two gigantic suspension bridges that connect the mainland to the two Hordaland islands. Both bridges are over one kilometre in length and create a dramatic sight from the deck at the bow of the ship or from the large panoramic windows on board. And be prepared for Karmsund bru (Karmsund Bridge) too. This bridge, connecting Karmøy and Haugesund, illustrates what is so wonderful and unique about voyages in Western Norway. It's not possible to get a closer mix of nature and man-made structure. Karmsund Bridge's characteristic arch makes it popular with photographers, so have your camera ready! Nobody responds to e-mails

Nobody responds to the customer support e-mail. Bulgarian mobile numbers do not receive SMSes, they obviously have a problem with their SMS API. I managed to validate a number from another country but even then the "Become member for free" button still stays greyed out. Their website is an absolute joke!!! https ://ibb.co/ P1LM8r0

Very nice trip, and I like the breakfast buffet very good. A fine selection that we have a good seating all over the trip in the morningbuffet, - whit all from the buffet fot our pleasure. 10 point to Fjordline.😊

From Kristiansand to Hirshtals. 8 hour delay due to bad weather & cancellations the previous days. We received the information on the same day, 4 hours before the due departure. Extra 1 hour waiting time on the already 8 hour delayed time. We arrived in Denmark at 2 am in the morning. Never again.

Great travel experience

We recently traveled from Hirtshals to Bergen (overnight) and return from Kristiansand to Hirtshals. Family of 4. Both was positive experiences. Cabins for sleeping was nice and clean. Breakfast buffet was great. Only improvement could be easier check-in. It is very slow and inconvenient that you have to arrive min. 1H before departure. But that said, I look forward traveling with Fjord line in the future.

Recommend booking the buffet

We booked the lunch buffet for our trip and it was the best decision ever. First you have seats for the whole trip no need to worry about rushing somewhere and staying so the seat won’t be taken. Second the value for money ratio is very good and the food was so tasty. Even a lot of vegetarian options. The only thing that would have made it even better is some cut fruit (instead of whole) Thank you for this amazing trip! We will remember it well

FjordLine is the best!

FjordLine is the best ferry company ever. Very professional staff. I use the service on Oslofjord ferry between Sandefjord and Strømstad many times (also with my family). The food both at breakfast buffet and at Dinner buffet is always amazing by choice and quality. There are also good options for children on board. Really excellent👌

Delays and poor communication is standard

From Denemarken to Norway, Hirthals to Kristiansand. Extra waiting time at boarding 45 minutes, same on the way back. Leaving one hour later according to the original schedule. No information or communication. On the boat instead of two hours and 15 minutes they just mention it is a 3 and 15 minutes trip. Total delay two hours and 15 minutes same on the way back. No apologies whatsoever.

10 years with satisfaction

We have been using Fjord Line from Bergen to Hirtshals for the last 10 years or so, and we are very pleased with their service. Friendly crew, clean and lovely cabins, efficient loading and unloading, very good food, and a very fine restaurant «Edvard Grieg». Once we had to cancel our trip just a few days befor departure, and we got the refund on the same day. All in all, our impression is that this is a company that does its very best to satisfy its customers

Good experience

Good experience, food and service Bergen - Hirtshals twice this autumn and Hirtshals - Kristiansand once = More than 5 000 nok. BUT I DO NOT GET ANY OF THE JUBILEUMS-TILBUD-FORDELER. So maybe I better take a plane the next time. I am from Bergen. I study in Aalborg, 1 hour from Hirtshals. Even Fanebust.

Good prices when booking early with…

Good prices when booking early with car. Very nice food and cabins are just right. There should be much more content on the boats, especially when they compete with Color Line. Color Line offers much more, but have to high prices on packages including car, and no offers. Overall compared with the price, very satisfied. Fjord Line is much more boat travel with car and not cruise compared with Color Line.

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!

> Available for 3 hours a day > Somehow moving back in line when calling (#12 to #15) > Ends first call when wanting a confirmation that she entered the correct license plate > Confirmation mail never arrives > Call again, she repeats the license plate correctly > Get confirmation mail, but they have entered the wrong license plate.. I feel scammed.

misinformation to keep you fro cancelling

We had paid and booked our ticket two months before - Hirtshals-Kristianssand. We were cancelled due to bad weather and asked for the alternative voyage which was promised us. When we got to the ferry at 8:00 having travelled since 4 o’clock with two toddlers, we were told the ferry was full and the next ferry left the next day. Such ambiguous con-man like information is only designed to keep People from not cancelling the trip alltogether. Since we were already in Hirtshals our other options were depleted and the only thing we could do was to pay for a hotel ( on a tight budget, by The way) and wait for the next ferry. By the way we had booked for Kristianssand and got a ferry to Langesund, which meant additional 2 hours drive.
