The Tata Nexon, Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions gets a list of new features, including Carnelian Red leatherette seats, #DARK emblem on headrests and red grab handles on doors. Along with these, the updated Harrier and Safari SUVs now comes equipped with a 10.25-inch HARMAN touchscreen infotainment system with 200+ Voice commands, a 7.0-inch digital TFT instrument cluster, 6-way powered driver's seat with memory and a 360-degree camera. Furthermore, the Safari also gets 4-way powered co-driver's seat with electric Boss mode and mood lighting around the panoramic sunroof.

The Red Dark Edition of the Tata Nexon, Harrier and Safari SUVs gets an Oberon Black exterior, a piano black grille with Zircon Red accents, blacked-out alloy wheels with red brake calipers and #DARK logo on the fenders.

Customers can now book the Red Dark Edition of the Tata Nexon, Harrier, Safari SUVs at an initial amount of Rs 30,000 at their nearest authorized Tata Motors dealership.

Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition price: Starts at Rs 12.35 lakh

Tata Motors is offering the Nexon Red Dark Edition (Petrol) at a starting price of Rs 12.35 lakh, while the Diesel variant of the Nexon Red Dark Edition is available at Rs 13.70 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.

Tata Safari Red Dark Edition launch live updates: Price starts at Rs 22.61 lakh

The Tata Safari Red Dark Edition has been launched at a starting price of Rs 22.61 lakh and goes up to Rs 22.71 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom, pan-India).

Tata Harrier Red Dark Edition price starts at Rs 21.77 lakh

Tata Motors has launched the Nexon, Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions. Prices for the Nexon Red Dark Edition start at Rs 12.35 lakh, while the Harrier and Safari Red Dark start at Rs 21.77 lakh and Rs 22.61  l akh, respectively.

Like the previous special editions, the changes to the Red Dark edition models are mainly cosmetic. The Harrier and Safari also get notable tech and safety upgrades as well. Here are the prices for the Red Dark editions.

Nexon, Harrier, Safari Red Dark: what's different?

Like the popular Safari, Nexon and Harrier Dark Editions, the newly introduced Red Dark Edition gets an all-black ‘Oberon Black’ exterior colour scheme. The Harrier and Safari special edition models also get red brake calipers and a subtle red insert on the front grille.  When it comes to the interior, all three Red Dark Edition models get ‘Carnelian’ red seat upholstery, and the grey trim on the dashboard.  

Nexon Red Dark: what's new?

Tata Motors had only showcased the Safari and Harrier Red Dark Editions at the Auto Expo 2023 in January, with the Nexon Red Dark Edition being added to the line-up now. With this, the Nexon is now available in three special editions, including the regular Dark Edition and Kaziranga Edition.

The Nexon Red Dark meanwhile, gets red highlights on the fog lamp surround and subtle red inserts on tri-arrow grille.  Based on the top spec XZ+ Lux trim, the Nexon Red Dark gets features like  tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), sunroof, in-built air purifier, wireless charger, cruise control, ventilated seats and connected car tech.

Tata Harrier, Safari Red Dark: tech, safety upgrades

The biggest highlight on the Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions are the addition of ADAS safety tech. This includes Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), forward collision alert, lane departure warning, lane change assist and traffic sign recognition. Both SUVs are based on their top-spec variants and get the new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 7-inch digital driver's display, and a 360-degree camera. Both the SUVs also get memory function for the driver's seat.

The Safari, additionally, gets ventilated seats for the second row, red ambient lighting near the door handles and around the panoramic sunroof, along with cushions on the head restraints for second-row passengers.

Nexon, Safari, Harrier Red Dark: no mechanical changes

All three special editions of the SUVs carry forward the same RDE compliant powertrains that were recently introduced by Tata Motors. The Nexon comes with a 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel, with both the engines being paired to either a 6-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The Harrier and Safari also continue with the 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine that’s mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Tata is offering a 3 year/1,00,000km warranty as standard on the Red Dark Edition of the SUVs.

New 2024 Tata Safari Red Dark Edition Revealed; Does it Get Any New Features?

Tata Motors has unveiled the new Red Dark Edition for the Safari that is scheduled to go on sale later this year. The Red Dark Edition boasts red highlights on the outside and the inside of the SUV. Here’s everything you need to know!

New Tata Safari Red Dark Edition: What you need to know!

Tata Motors already has Dark Edition launched during the Facelift launch. The Red Dark Edition features discreet changes when compared to the Dark version. From the outside, you can see the SUV include a red “#Dark” badge on the front fender, a subtle red accent in the headlight housing, red-painted brake calipers, and distinctive red “Safari” badges on both the front doors and the rear tailgate. This new Red Dark Edition of the Safari helps Tata Motors attract individuals who express desize for styling like this one, and help Tata increases its sales.

Jumping to the interior, the new Tata Safari Red Dark introduces Carnelian Red leatherette upholstery across all three rows, creating a visually appealing contrast. The Carnelian Red theme extends to the door pads and grab rails in the center console, enhancing the overall interior aesthetics. The addition of red ambient lighting further complements this refreshed cabin. What could make this even better is the addition of footwell illumination, and panoramic sunroof in red ambient light to further enhance the cabin appeal. Mechanically, the SUV undergoes no changes and continues to be powered by the 2.0 L 4 Cylinder Diesel producing 167.67 BHP and 350 NM of torque mated to 6 Speed Manual & Automatic Gearbox. A 1.5 L 4 Cylinder Turbo Petrol engine is launching soon for the SUV which consists of 167.67 BHP Power and 280 NM of torque mated to 6 Speed Manual & 7 Speed DCT Gearbox. There are no additions of features as the SUV is already pretty packed. Tata Harrier and Safari Red Dark Edition unveiled with ADAS features

At Auto Expo 2023, Tata presented the Harrier Red Dark edition and the Safari Red Dark edition. The Harrier and Safari versions now include a bigger, better touchscreen, ADAS technology, and a preview of features that will probably be included in the standard models.

The Red Dark version, like the Dark edition, has a completely black exterior that Tata refers to as "Oberon Black," however it is a somewhat different tint. It has 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers and a subdued red grille insert.

A suite of ADAS features is also added to the updated SUVs, including autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, lane change alert, high beam assist, forward collision warning, rear collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot detection, and traffic sign recognition.

The upgraded infotainment system from Tata is also making its debut here. At 10.25 inches, the touchscreen is now bigger than before, and it still comes with the same nine-speaker JBL audio system. Additionally, the semi-digital instrument cluster included in standard variations is replaced with a new, fully digital one on the Harrier and Safari Red Dark editions. A 360-degree camera is furthermore novel.

Other amenities include ventilated front seats and an electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory. The second row of seats in the three-row Safari may also be ventilated, and the ambient lighting around the panoramic sunroof and motorised front passenger seat also have "Boss" modes that let the back passenger slide the seat forward.

Mechanically both cars remain the same, which means they feature a 2.0litre diesel engine that produces 170PS and 350 Nm.

Tata Motors had a good time at the Auto Expo 2023 held in Delhi and among all the reveals, the brand’s SUV siblings Harrier and Safari got a worthy update, the Red Dark edition. Here we detail the top five changes brought in to the Tata Safari with this new Red Dark edition.

Red treatment inside out

The Safari Red Dark edition is based on the already existing Dark edition, and the red theme has been implemented to make the SUV look sportier and enhance its exquisite design. On the outside, the SUV is painted in Oberon Black with Zircon red calipers on the front and rear disc, with similar hued inserts in the front grille. It also gets the '#DARK' logo on the fenders and satin Daytona Grey finish on the front and rear skid plates. 

On the inside, the Carnelian Red theme is applied on leatherette seats with diamond-shaped quilting, leatherette door grab handles, and the centre console. Complementing the red paint scheme is the black dashboard with piano black accents on the steering wheel, centre console, and doors.

Improved safety with ADAS suite and 360-degree camera

With this edition, Tata has made Safari an even safer car, as the SUV now gets six airbags including side and curtain airbags, enhanced ESP with 17 functionalities, and a 360-degree surround-view camera. And, finally, the popular ADAS suite, which includes features like autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, rear collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition, door open alert, lane departure warning, lane change alert, and high beam assist.

New-gen touchscreen infotainment system

The infotainment system that the Safari came with was not as sleeker as its competitors. Now, it has received a complete overhaul in terms of design and OS enhancement. The new-gen touchscreen infotainment system by Harman is 10.25-inch in dimension with a nine-speaker JBL sound system paired with an amplifier. The Safari already had the iRA-connected car technology like other Tata models but now it comes with over 200 voice commands in six regional languages.

New-gen instrument cluster

As a part of the upgrade package, the instrument cluster has received a completely new appearance. The SUV is now equipped with a seven-inch TFT digital instrument cluster. There’s a centre display that shows all the information, like gear position, speed, DTE, temperature, and other engine-related data. It is flanked by an rpm meter on the left and a fuel gauge on the right.

Upgraded creature comforts

The already extensive feature list of Safari got a few more creature comfort added to its list, including a six-way powered driver seat with memory and welcome function and a powered co-driver seat with boss mode. Moreover, the mood lighting in the sunroof makes the SUV feel more opulent on the inside.
