Morgan Wade Earns a Headline Slot With 2023 No Signs of Slowing Down Tour

Morgan Wade is still a relatively new name in country music, but she's already setting off on her first headlining tour in 2023. The singer has announced the No Signs of Slowing Down Tour, kicking off February 24 in Louisville, Ky.

The tour features 31 dates, hitting cities such as New York, Denver, Seattle, Phoenix, Dallas and Nashville before wrapping up in Richmond, Va., on April 16. Wade will bring along a rotating cast of openers, including Kyle Kelly, Kaitlin Butts, Nate Fredrick and Meg McRee. The singer shared the news, and her excitement, in a post on social media.

"Been a long time coming — I’m finally going to headline my first tour," she writes alongside a photo with the tour dates. "I’m excited to show y’all what the boys and I can do. Most of all thank you to all the fans that make something like this possible for me to do."

The tour follows the success of her debut single, "Wilder Days," released last year. The Virginia-born singer also recently starred in a music video for Kip Moore 's "If I Was Your Lover," and she later added her vocals to a new version of the tune. She took home the Americana Music Award for Emerging Act of the Year at the September 14 awards ceremony.

Tickets and VIP experiences for the tour go on sale Friday, Sept. 30, at 10AM local time. More information can be found on Wade's website .

One of Nashville’s fastest-rising and most critically acclaimed young stars, Morgan Wade released her much-anticipated sophomore album, Psychopath, Aug. 25 via Sony Music Nashville. Possessed with a raw and unflinching voice anchored by a perfect tinge of twang; the rare ability to pen honest portraits of some of life’s most precious and painful and unpredictable moments; and an onstage vulnerability that so seamlessly breaks down the wall between fan and artist, Wade has quickly made her mark on the country music scene — and the music world at large. Her stunning 2021 debut album, Reckless, was hailed as a critical triumph; it topped Rolling Stone’s Best Country and Americana Albums of 2021, with New York Times noting Wade “sounds like she’s singing from the depths of history.” In 2022, Wade was nominated as the Emerging Act of the Year at the Americana Music Honors & Awards; in 2023, Wade was nominated for New Female Artist of the Year by the Academy of Country Music and performed at major-market festivals including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits.

While Reckless, and particularly its momentous lead single “Wilder Days,” busted down the doors and introduced Wade to a wider listenership, Psychopath is an astounding follow-up statement: the 13-track LP was crafted with the help of some of Nashville’s most extraordinary musical talents, from A-list songwriters (Julia Michaels, Natalie Hemby, Liz Rose, Lori McKenna) to studio musicians as well as Wade’s longtime producer Sadler Vaden. Most excitingly, Psychopath finds Wade peeling back layers of her psyche like never before. “I realized the more authentic you are and the more you pour yourself into your songs, and most importantly if you’re being honest, people will connect to that,” Wade says. “I want every song to get the credit it deserves.”

Morgan Wade is ready to raise the curtain. Currently situated as one of Nashville’s fastest rising and most critically acclaimed young stars, hailed by some of the world’s most respected publications, from Rolling Stone to New York Times, as a once-in-a-generation talent, thanks in great effect to Reckless, her stunning 2021 Thirty Tigers/now Sony Music Nashville debut album, the now 28-year-old — the same person who not long ago felt as if she “didn’t have anything,” — now finds herself eager and ready to reveal herself to her ever-growing legion of dedicated fans like never before. To hear Wade tell it, it’s time to peel back layers of her psyche and let people in.

“I realized the more authentic you are and the more you pour yourself into your songs, and most importantly if you’re being honest, people will connect to that,” Wade explains of her highly personal motivation when crafting Psychopath, her second full-length studio album, out now via Sony Music Nashville and a no-holds-barred meditation of an LP that dives deep into life’s oft-twisted path to the present. “I want every song to get the credit it deserves.”

On the heels of a nearly sold-out, multi-month headline tour, one that saw emotionally invested sellout crowds hanging on Wade’s every lyric, not to mention thrilling performances at Stagecoach, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and more, Wade delivered an astounding 13-track LP crafted with the help of some of Nashville’s most extraordinary musical talents, from A-list songwriters (Julia Michaels, Natalie Hemby, Liz Rose, Lori McKenna, Ashley Monroe, Angaleena Presley) to studio musicians and, of course, her longtime producer-guru/song whisperer Sadler Vaden.

A relentless writer, Wade had penned what would become the album’s exquisite title track and lead single as far back as the weeks leading up to Reckless’ release. A one-take meditation on “being so engrossed in someone, it’s like “What the hell was I doing before I met you? I don’t even fucking know!” Wade describes “Psychopath” as “probably as close to a country song as it gets on the record.” Don’t let the title fool you: “When you look at the title, you don’t assume that’s a love song. But it is,” she says with a smile. “I kinda dig that.”

It’s easy to lose sight of how Wade’s life has shifted in only a few short years. And yet even as an unsigned upstart singer-songwriter from Floyd, Virginia, back when her singular goal was to book that next live show, when she was just waiting for that one opportunity to showcase her musical wares to the world, Wade already had it all.

Morgan Wade’s abilities have long been undeniable: that raw and unflinching voice anchored by a perfect tinge of twang; the rare ability to pen honest portraits of some of life’s most precious and painful and unpredictable moments; an onstage vulnerability that so seamlessly breaks down the wall between fan and artist.

With the success of Reckless, Wade openly admits she felt a certain pressure leading into Psychopath, not least because Reckless had exceeded even her wildest expectations. “If my debut record wouldn’t have done anything, then it wouldn’t have mattered,” she says. “I would have just gone back to the drawing board and continued. But now, there was a lot of pressure to get this next record out.”

Joan Jett grew up during a time when rock ‘n’ roll was off limits to girls and women, but as a teenager, she promptly blew the door to the boys’ club right off its hinges. After forming her band the Blackhearts in 1979, with whom Jett has become a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, she has had eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 singles, including the classics “Bad Reputation,” “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll,” “I Hate Myself For Loving You,” and “Crimson and Clover.” With a career that has spanned music, film, television, Broadway, and humanitarianism, Joan Jett remains a potent force and inspiration to generations of fans worldwide. As a producer, she has overseen seminal albums by Bikini Kill, and the Germs’ LA punk masterpiece ‘GI.’ Jett and Kenny Laguna (her longtime producer and music partner) co-founded Blackheart Records from the trunk of Kenny’s Cadillac after rejections from no less than 23 labels. 40 years later, Blackheart is a thriving entertainment company producing music, film and television, and continues to champion emerging bands.

Preview: Morgan Wade lands for UK dates

morgan wade tour 2023

Morgan Wade is back in the UK for a short tour, opening in Glasgow and including a show-piece at London’s Albert Hall as part of a brand-new Country and Americana festival, Highways. AUK was very happy to accept an invitation to her tour preview, a press-only event held at London’s Sony Music Club Space. It was a rare opportunity to see Wade up close as she played a short set playing several new songs including her latest single ‘ Psychopath’ (released this Friday) before closing with her big UK radio hit of 2022, ‘ Wilder Days’ , which our host for the evening, Baylen Leonard, told us had been played on Absolute Radio a remarkable 721 times!

Sharing the stage with guitarist Clint Wells, Wade was in relaxed mode, joking about her initial response to overtures from the head guy at Sony USA. “If I do sign with you, what’ll you give me?” before going on to say she wanted a French bulldog which the company duly delivered although eyebrows were raised at the cost,-“Just for a dog?”. Wells joined in to express his delight at  flying first class for the first time, noting that both of them answered “yes please” when offered a choice of champagne on the flight.

Wade yesterday announced her forthcoming album, ‘ Psychopath’, on Thirty Tigers, will be released on 25th August.

Full tour dates:

Thursday 18 May – Barbican York Friday 19 May – Olympia Liverpool Saturday 20 May – Highways – A Festival of Country and Americana Royal Albert Hall London Monday 22 May – Trinity Arts Centre Bristol Wednesday 24 May – Whelans Dublin

With many big-named artists on tour this summer , finding the time and budget for all your favorites can be difficult. Nowadays, concert ticket prices in the triple digits are the norm, with some even reaching the thousands for more in-demand artists (*cough* Taylor Swift ).

When trying to score a seat at a sold-out show or get the best deals on ticket prices, third-party platforms like Vivid Seats , SeatGeek and StubHub can be your best friend for finding verified tickets if you know where to look.

Instead of scouring the internet for whose on-tour and where to find the cheapest tickets, keep reading to discover the top 10 must-see concert tours this summer under $100 for any and every music lover.

Ticket prices and availability are noted at the time of publishing and are subject to change.

Folk-pop artist Noah Kahan’s rise to fame has been swift and pervasive. When the “Stick Season” singer-songwriter announced his 2024 “We’ll Be Here Forever Tour,” many dates sold out within minutes.

With the tour beginning in April, Kahan is spending the rest of the summer making his way through North America before heading overseas. Some may say finding a ticket to see Kahan for under $100 is impossible, and while, for the most part, it is in fact a fool’s errand, there’s one date in particular where you’re in luck.

July 3, 2024 - Wheatland, CA - Toyota Amphitheatre ( Tickets starting at $83 )

Find the complete list of Kahan’s tour dates here .

Chris Stapleton

When the multi-award-winning Chris Stapleton isn’t making hit country albums like “Traveller” (2015) and his latest release “Higher” (2023), he’s collaborating with artists across all genres, from Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa to Miranda Lambert and Morgan Wade.

This summer, Stapleton embarked on his “All-American Road Show” tour and sold out most of his dates. However, you can still find tickets for under $100 on Vivid Seats for select dates:

Hearing songs like “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” and “Beer in Mexico” live may take the cake, but the cherry on top is the fact that tickets are under $100 for most dates on Vivid Seats , so be sure to grab them while the prices are still low.

Olivia Rodrigo, Janet Jackson, Green Day and more: 23 summer tours visiting Missouri

morgan wade tour 2023

Summer is time for so many delights, not least of which meeting your favorite musicians as they take to the road for sprawling tours.

In addition to the number of great shows coming to Columbia, household names and cherished indie acts will be packing up and taking their shows to Missouri. Here are just 23 of the tours worth catching in our state through August.

More: From Needtobreathe to The Steel Woods, these acts will play outdoor shows in Columbia

June 4: Noah Kahan at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre (St. Louis)

It's not "Stick Season" per se, but it is the right time to catch Kahan, one of our moment's most popular singer-songwriters. Ryan Beatty shares the bill. Tickets range from $310-$487.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

June 9-10: Sarah McLachlan at Starlight Theatre (Kansas City), St. Louis Music Park (St. Louis area)

Celebrating 30 years of her luminous record "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy" — which houses signature songs like "Possession," "Hold On," "Good Enough" and "Ice Cream" — McLachlan will visit Missouri back-to-back nights. The wonderful Feist shares the bill. Tickets are $25.50-$105.50 in Kansas City, $36-$110 in St. Louis.

June 12: Jon Batiste at St. Louis Music Park

The Roots N Blues festival veteran, former Stephen Colbert bandleader, and Oscar- and Grammy-winning American treasure tours behind his "World Music Radio" album from last summer. Tickets range from $29-$125.

June 21: Janet Jackson at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre

A pop and R&B legend with too many hits to name, Jackson's "Together Again" tour is, in a way, her own Eras run. One of St. Louis' favorite musical sons, Nelly, will share the bill. Tickets run from $47 to $212.

June 23: The Flaming Lips at Uptown Theater (Kansas City)

Do you realize ... the Lips never fail to put on a Technicolor, mind-bending rock 'n' roll show? Hear one of the Midwest's great weirdo bands whenever you can. Tickets are $49-$79.

June 26: Kurt Vile at The Pageant (St. Louis)

The great shaggy dog of indie rock, Philly-area native Kurt Vile has crafted some of the best guitar jams of the past 15 years. Emily Robb shares the bill. Tickets range from $32-$35.

June 27, 28: Lyle Lovett and His Large Band at The Factory (Chesterfield), Uptown

You can't ever go wrong with Lovett, whose hall-of-fame caliber catalog stretches from wry and spry country ramblers to some of the best ballads you'll ever hear. Tickets are $69-$149 in Chesterfield, $49-$135 in Kansas City.

July 6: Iron and Wine at The Pageant

"Light Verse," the latest record from Sam Beam's Iron and Wine project is gentle and strange and sublime, a re-articulation of Beam's place among our best living songwriters. The dynamic Amythyst Kiah shares the bill. Tickets are $37.50-$50.

July 10: The Baseball Project at Record Bar (Kansas City)

A midsummer classic? Perhaps so, when this baseball-themed band featuring members of R.E.M. (Peter Buck, Mike Mills), Dream Syndicate (Steve Wynn), The Minus 5 (Scott McCaughey) and Filthy Friends (Linda Pitmon) pays a visit to the home of the Royals. Tickets are $29.

July 23: Alanis Morissette, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Morgan Wade at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre

Dubbed the "Triple Moon" tour, this bill revolves around Morissette, whose work seems as relevant as ever, but packs in a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer in Jett and the serious talent of Wade. Tickets are $37-$299.

More: Have a very '90s (and early aughts) summer with Goo Goo Dolls, The Fray, Blues Traveler

July 26: Olivia Rodrigo at T-Mobile Center (Kansas City)

Rodrigo is set to performe her "Guts" out on the tour named for her 2023 record, which yielded such smashes as "Vampire" and "Get Him Back!" PinkPantheress shares the bill. Ticket prices TBA.

July 27: Santana and Counting Crows at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre

Good songs seem to be the connective tissue between guitar god Carlos Santana's outfit and the resilient Crows; Adam Duritz and Co. remain tender road warriors after all these years, delivering their work with a painter's touch. Tickets range from $44-$200.

July 30: Red Hot Chili Peppers at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre

Feel both California's heat and cool washing over you as the legendary funk-rock hitmakers push into their fifth decade of music. Otoboke Beaver shares the bill. Tickets run from $83-$506.

July 30: Future and Metro Boomin at T-Mobile Center

Future and Metro Boomin didn't start the fire exactly, but "Like That," their recent collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, reignited a 21st-century rap beef. The pair's not one, but two collaborative records in 2024 propel them into this tour, which will no doubt feature a dynamic survey of their work together. Tickets are $44-$194.

July 30-31: Phish at Chaifetz Arena (St. Louis)

Fresh off playing Las Vegas' spectacular Sphere, the beloved jam band will venture on into the summer, playing — what will no doubt be — two nights that can never be repeated. Tickets are $78-$269.

Aug. 8: Jason Isbell at The Factory

A frequent visitor to Missouri — and to festivals such as the former Roots N Blues — Isbell remains at the head of the current class of American songwriters. His most recent record, last year's "Weathervanes," contains a generous handful of canonical cuts. Powerhouse singer Shemekia Copeland shares the bill. Tickets range from $59-$99.

Aug. 9-10: Blink-182 at T-Mobile Center, Enterprise Center (St. Louis)

The re-formed punks are older and wiser but, thankfully, no less funny or filthy. Blink excels at anthemic singalongs that bridge the gap between the serious and absurd. Pierce the Veil shares both bills; Hot Milk will also play St. Louis. Tickets range from $44-$250 in Kansas City, $35-$176 in St. Louis.

More: These 13 summer music festivals are within a day's drive of Columbia

Aug. 12: Childish Gambino at T-Mobile Center

Back on the musical tip — but for how long? — Donald Glover has promised new Childish Gambino albums that may just conclude the project. Which, of course, makes it a crucial time to hear the entertainment polymath perform his artful blend of pop, R&B and hip-hop. Pop phenom Willow Smith shares the bill. Tickets range from $99-$343.

Aug. 15: Green Day at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre

Showing off its staying power, the Bay Area pop-punk legends will play through not one, but two landmark anniversary albums: "Dookie" and "American Idiot." Rancid and The Linda Lindas share a stacked bill. Tickets range from $102-$510.

Aug. 17-18: Ben Folds at Gillioz Theatre (Springfield), The Factory

Gen X's piano man has revived his Paper Airplane Request Tour, in which fans can do just that — send their requests floating through venue space to the remarkable musical craftsman. Tickets are $42.50 to $122.50 in Springfield, $55-$115 in St. Louis.

Aug. 20-21: Zach Bryan at T-Mobile Center

One of the most significant names in country music today, Bryan tours behind, well, his name — the self-titled 2023 album that landed him on numerous year-end lists and earned him a Grammy for his duet with Kacey Musgraves. Levi Turner and Matt Maeson round out the bill. Tickets are $54-$320.

Aug. 23: Dierks Bentley at T-Mobile Center

Aug. 23: Waxahatchee at The Pageant

Now calling Kansas City home Waxahatchee leader Katie Crutchfield will play the other side of Interstate 70, touring behind "Tigers Blood," far and away one of the best records of 2024's first half. Terrific songwriter Tre Burt shares the bill. Tickets are $35-$50.
