Marella Cruises unveils on-board features on new ship Voyager
Marella Cruises has revealed what facilities guests can expect to find on board its new ship, Marella Voyager, when it launches in June 2023.
The cruise line said that the family friendly ship – the fifth in the Marella Cruises fleet – “will bring a whole range of exciting new venues inspired by Voyager’s spirit of exploration and adventure”.
It will feature new dining venues such as Silver Fork, a British-themed speciality restaurant, and The Arts House, a bar with an arts and crafts space, as well as The Kitchens, described as a “theatrical food hall with eight eateries rolled into one”.
Elsewhere, The Electric Rooms, on deck 12, will include an LED dancefloor, while The Exchange bar has been labelled a place for “unique cocktails… live music and immersive entertainment”.
TUI UK & I MD of cruise Chris Hackney said: “We’re delighted to present an exciting evolution of our fleet in Marella Voyager .
“She really takes things to a new level, building on our current ships’ best features, whilst adding new venues that we know our customers will be excited to try.
“We understand what guests want from their cruise and what they love about our existing ships, so by ensuring we keep some Marella Cruises favourites as well as adding a different flavour to Marella Voyager , we will be providing more choice for our loyal customers and providing an exciting introduction to the brand for new customers.”
Marella Voyager itineraries
From its homeport in Majorca, Marella Voyager will set sail to a range of destinations, including Barcelona, Naples, Sicily, and the south of France.
Marella Voyager’s winter 2023 programme will be available to book from 21 July.
The Paradise Islands itinerary will first set sail in November 2023 from Barbados, exploring Tortola, St Maarten, St Kitts, Antigua, and Dominica.
Marella Cruises will also expand its winter 2023 offering. Asia itineraries will return with a new homeport in Singapore, and itineraries will include an overnight in Singapore to give guests more time to explore.
In addition, a new itinerary will be added, with the line sailing along the east coast of the USA from October 2023, visiting Boston, Maine, Rhode Island and heading to Canada, sailing to Saint John, New Brunswick, and Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Marella Cruises announces new 2023 winter program
Marella UK announced a new and expanded 2023 winter program for its 5-ship fleet.
Marella's 5th ship - Marella Voyager/currently TUI's Schiff Herz , is due to launch on June 3, 2023, and will initially operate from Palma de Mallorca (Majorca Island, Balearic Spain) with call ports in Italy, Spain, France. The 7-day itineraries are themed "Mediterranean Secrets", "Highlights Of The Mediterranean", "Highlights Of The Med", "Magic Of Spain", "Cosmopolitan Classics", "Mediterranean Secrets".
Marella Voyager's winter 2023-2024 program is in the Caribbean, based on homeporting in Bridgetown Barbados and offers 3x 8-day itineraries - "A Taste of the Tropics from Barbados", "Paradise Islands", and "Tropical Delights".
A new itinerary in October 2023 has been added to the ship's schedule that visits ports in the USA (Maine and Rhode Island) heading to Canada for the first time.
Marella Voyager’s winter schedule (2023-2024) will be available for booking from July 21, 2022.
Marella returns to Asia with homeporting in Singapore for the first time. Marella Discovery 2 is scheduled to operate 4x itineraries from the city-state.
The 15-day "Eastern Experience 1" itinerary (roundtrip from Singapore) visits Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) , Pulau Langkawi Island (Malaysia Kedah) and Laem Chabang/Bangkok (Thailand) .
There will be 9 relocation itineraries (RepositionCruises.com) visiting ports in India, Jordan, and Sri Lanka.
Discovery Kicks Off Marella’s First Summer Program in North America

The Marella Discovery arrived in Port Canaveral on Sunday to start its first summer program in North America and the Caribbean.
Operated by Marella Cruises, the 1996-built vessel is now set to sail on a series of week-long cruises from its new homeport in Florida.
Extending through early November, the schedule includes three different itineraries that are being offered on the United Kingdom market.
The first itinerary – which sailed from Port Canaveral on Sunday – includes visits to Turks and Caicos and the Dominican Republic, in addition to two ports in the United States.
Named Sunshine State and Sands , the seven-night cruise sails to Miami, Key West, Grand Turk and Amber Cove.
Also sailing roundtrip from Port Canaveral, the second itinerary is named American Dream . In addition to a two-night visit to New York City, the week-long cruise sails to Charleston, and Freeport, in the Bahamas.
A third itinerary is also available and focuses on Florida and the Bahamas. After leaving Port Canaveral, the Floridian Favorites cruise includes visits to Bimini, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa – where the Marella Discovery is set to spend two days docked.
Before repositioning to the Southern Caribbean, the ship is set to offer a 14-night cruise to Canada & New England in October. Sailing roundtrip from Port Canaveral as well, the itinerary features visits to Newport, Boston, Portland, Saint John, Sydney and Halifax.
During the 2023-2024 winter, the Discovery will offer a series of seven-night cruises to the Caribbean departing from Barbados.
With different itineraries available, the program features visits to popular ports in the region, including St. Maarten, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Aruba, Curaçao and more.
Built for Royal Caribbean International, the Marella Discovery originally entered service in the 1990s as the Splendour of the Seas.
Acquired by Marella Cruises in 2016, the 1,804-guest cruise ship is part of a series of six ships known as Vision Class.
