The Indianapolis Colts have had a number of recently reported Top 30 visits ahead of late April’s 2024 NFL Draft including with the following draft prospects:

Report: Colts have Top 30 visit scheduled with Texas WR Xavier Worthy before NFL Draft

A ccording to Bleacher Report’s Ryan Fowler , the Indianapolis Colts are among the NFL teams that have a Top 30 visit scheduled with Texas wideout Xavier Worthy before the 2024 NFL Draft:

Several Colts offensive coaches—including their head man Shane Steichen, were in attendance for Worthy’s Pro Day on Wednesday .

The 5’11,” 165 pound Worthy ran like an Olympian gold medalist sprinter at the recent NFL Combine, recording the fastest every forty time of 4.21 seconds—which broke former Cincinnati Bengals wideout John Ross’s record set back in 2017.

However, Worthy’s not all just blazing fast speed, as he also has serious receiving game.

He caught 75 receptions for 1,014 receiving yards (13.5 ypr. avg.) and 5 touchdown receptions during 14 starts for the Longhorns in 2023—earning First-Team All-Big 12 honors. (He also has some collegiate experience returning punts).

There’s no question that the Colts could use more explosive plays offensively and another dynamic receiving weapon to further aid 2nd-year quarterback Anthony Richardson’s continued growth and development.

Worthy has world-class speed and is under consideration to be a first or early second round pick right now following his tantalizing combine showing. He’s a certified field stretcher, who can blow the top off of opposing secondaries as a threat to take it the distance any time he touches the football.

With 2nd-year wideout Josh Downs already in the slot, the question is whether Worthy has enough size to also play on the outside at the pro level, at times—or maybe vice versa.

However, perhaps the Colts are more concerned with adding his receiving talent and the unbelievable speed of Worthy and figuring out the rest later.

He’s that type of playmaker—with rare, rare wheels.

As the Indianapolis Colts prepare for the 2023 NFL Draft, they are scheduling a meeting with impressive offensive line prospect Dawand Jones.

While the focus for the Indianapolis Colts is no question in bringing in a star quarterback for the future, potentially Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson or C.J. Stroud, you already know general manager Chris Ballard is going to look to improve the offensive line as well. Without a stout line, a good QB is useless.

That's why it's no surprise that Ballard and Co. are going to be doing their due-diligence in scouting the top OL prospects for the upcoming NFL Draft. A guy on the list for you to monitor? That's be Ohio State offensive tackle Dawand Jones , who has set a Top 30 visit with Indy ahead of next month's draft.

Colts set a Top 30 visit with Ohio State OT Dawand Jones

Jones is fresh off a strong showing at the NFL Combine, where he turned plenty of heads. Jones is a massive specimen, checking in at 6-foot-8, 375 pounds. His size alone has scouts and general managers intrigued by his game. The fact that he has quick feet and hips only makes him that much more of a top target for squads.

As things stand, Jones is projected to be taken early on in the second round. If he's there for the taking when it's Ballard's turn to send in his second pick of the night, then he'll surely be an interesting name to keep an eye on, especially if things go well for him during his visit with the organization in the near future.

This is the time of year where the Colts will be working overtime in checking out potential draft candidates. Jones will be receiving plenty of interest ahead of late April, as he has scheduled additional visits with the Commanders, Eagles, Steelers, Browns and others.

Jones is known for making life tough for opposing defensive linemen, and that could prove to be the case next season in the AFC South as well.

Colts Host Top-30 Visit for Athletic CB Prospect

The NFL Draft is fast approaching for the entire league. The Indianapolis Colts are going into draft night with needs beyond just the quarterback position. Arguably the next most significant need past QB is help at cornerback.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network  is reporting that the Colts have had a top-30 visit with Illinois defensive back Jartavius “Quan” Martin.

Martin is an interesting player for the Colts. There have been names like Julius Brents and Kelee Ringo that are getting paired with Indianapolis. However, it’s worth mentioning the career of Martin in the Big Ten.

Through five full seasons with the Fighting Illini, Martin compiled impressive numbers. He put together 225 tackles, seven interceptions, 22 passes defended, and three forced fumbles through 50 career games.He also threw in a nice ten tackles for loss, which is great to see from a defensive back.

There is a the chance that general manager Chris Ballard loves Martin’s athleticism and will want to take a swing. At 5'11" and 194 pounds, Martin tested off the charts for his RAS (Relative Athletic Score), per Kent Lee Platte.

It’s tough to say when Martin could hypothetically be taken in the draft next week. But the Colts need help in their secondary. Even with the news that cornerback Kenny Moore II should be returning, it still leaves areas to be filled in that room. 

Martin could be an excellent addition to the roster on draft day with his raw athleticism and ability to grow.

The Indianapolis Colts will be hosting Northern Iowa defensive tackle Khristian Boyd for a top-30 visit ahead of the 2024 NFL draft.

Though the Colts re-signed Grover Stewart to a three-year extension and added Raekown Davis in free agency on a two-year deal, they seem compelled to continue looking at depth options at the one-technique.

Current Draft Projection:  Day 2-3 Khristian Boyd turned some heads in the All-Star season after getting called up from the Hulu Bowl to the East-West Shrine Bowl. He measured at 6-foot-2 and 320 pounds at the Shrine Bowl. In his final year at Northern Iowa, he registered 43 tackles (17 solo), six-and-a-half TFLs, and three-and-a-half sacks. Boyd is a powerful athlete whose explosiveness helps create leverage in run defense and setting up his pass-rush moves.

The Colts have all of their selections on Day 3 of the draft so Boyd may be a prospect to keep an eye on if Chris Ballard feels even more compelled to take Boyd after the team meets with him.
