Wonderful Stay.

Our first stay in Hamilton Island and the Whitsunday Apartments did not disappoint. Amazing view, clean and tidy apartment. Staff were extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay there. Close to everything, restaurants and shops.

Romantic paradise.

Had an amazing time at WAHI, the view must surely be one of the best in the world & the island is an absolute paradise. Late Feb to early march was a lovely temp with afternoon showers, lots of swimming in the many gorgeous pools. A most romantic week, can’t wait to go back soon.

We had a great time at the WAHI Apartments. The apartment was great, no complaints from us. The resort and pool were great, the staff were very helpful, and polite. We would highly recommend this place and look forward to our next visit to the island.

Destination Hamilton Island

With its idyllic location in the heart of the Whitsundays, Hamilton Island is a perfect base for exploring the  Great Barrier Reef  and  Whitehaven Beach . It also boasts renowned bars and restaurants, a wide range of accommodation options, a huge selection of activities, and some striking contemporary landmarks, including the iconic  Hamilton Island Yacht Club  and  Hamilton Island Golf Club . Unlike many other islands in the  Whitsundays , Hamilton Island is more than a popular tourist destination. It’s also a thriving community, with a population of around 1,000 permanent residents and an  interesting history . After long-standing Aboriginal habitation, the island was sighted by Captain Cook in 1770, and became a popular destination for visitors in the 1970s and 1980s. Today, continual investments are made in Hamilton Island’s infrastructure and facilities to ensure it continues to be a world-class holiday destination.   Hamilton Island is also the only island with its own airport and private marina - making it extremely easy to get to, all year round. There is also a daily ferry service to and from the mainland. The entire island is refreshingly car-free, and guests can explore the island on foot, via the Island’s shuttle service, or via a  golf buggy . The island boasts a range of  facilities and services  to ensure a relaxing holiday, including a medical centre, several boutiques, a hairdresser, post office and general store.   Accommodation  ranges from high-end luxury, to couples’ only escapes, and family-friendly hotel rooms, villas, apartment and holiday homes.   The weather is mild all year round, and the island offers a selection of family-friendly activities in school holidays.
