For more than two decades, the GRAMMY and Academy Award-nominated rock band Counting Crows have enchanted listeners worldwide with their intensely soulful and intricate take on timeless rock & roll. Exploding onto the music scene in 1993 with their multi-platinum breakout album, August and Everything After, the band has gone on to release seven studio albums, selling more than 20 million records worldwide, and is revered as one of the world’s most pre-eminent live touring rock bands. In October 1996, the band's double-platinum sophomore studio album, Recovering the Satellites, debuted at number one and further solidified their growing reputation as one of the leading American alternative rock bands in the world. In 2004, Counting Crows recorded the chart-topping “Accidentally in Love” for the animated motion picture Shrek 2. The instant success of the track earned them an Academy Award nomination for “Best Original Song” at the 2005 Academy Awards, a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Original Song” and a GRAMMY Award nomination for “Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.” In September 2014, Counting Crows released their critically acclaimed seventh studio album, Somewhere Under Wonderland, which debuted at No. 10 on the charts and was heralded by The Daily Telegraph as “… the best collection of songs since their debut.” The album consisted of nine sprawling tracks around rich sonic tapestries, which yielded some of the most grandiose yet intimate songs Counting Crows had recorded to date. 2018 marked 25 years since the band's inception and sent Adam Duritz, Jim Bogios, David Bryson, Charlie Gillingham, David Immergluck, Millard Powers, and Dan Vickrey back on the road for the “25 YEARS AND COUNTING” tour. In 2021, Counting Crows ranked #8 on Billboards’ “Greatest of All Time: Adult Alternative Artists” 25th anniversary chart. After seven years, Adam Duritz and Counting Crows have returned with Butter Miracle: Suite One released on May 21,2021.

The Counting Crows are an American rock band from California. They were formed in 1991 and released their debut album, August and Everything After, in 1993. That album featured their breakthrough hit, “Mr. Jones”.

In total, The Counting Crows have released 7 studio albums. Their last was in 2014, titled Somewhere Under Wonderland.

Counting Crows will spend most of their summer on the road with Dashboard Confessional during their 2023 Banshee Season tour .

Counting Crows will stop in 56 cities across North America, with Frank Turner joining as a special guest on select dates, and Dashboard Confessional serving as support for all but seven shows,

“One of the best things about a life in rock and roll is that we spend it traveling the world playing music. It’s even better when you can do it with one of your best friends and watch them play every night too,” Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz shared in a statement. “Chris Carrabba hits the trifecta for me in that he’s one of my best friends in the world, one of my favorite people in the world, and he leads one of my favorite bands of all time, Dashboard Confessional. Sorry for the terrible pun but hands down, this is going to be the best summers ever.”

The Banshee Season tour is scheduled to begin June 13 in Omaha, Nebraska and will wrap at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado on Sept. 25. The bands will make stops in Cincinnati, Niagara Falls, Syracuse, Boston, Bridgeport, Atlantic City, Nashville, Virginia Beach, Los Angeles, and more.

Going to the free Counting Crows concert at Lambeau Field on Saturday? What you can and can't bring, other tips

GREEN BAY - Packers fans will get a rested and recharged Counting Crows for Saturday’s free Kickoff Weekend concert outside Lambeau Field.

The band wrapped up the summer-long Oneness Tour with Santana at the end of August and shows only one upcoming date on its tour page , a Sept. 29 festival slot in Ocean City, Maryland, so safe to say they didn't just happen to be in the area when the Packers booked them for the night before the home opener against the Indianapolis Colts.

Between the weather (partly sunny and a high of 79), the price (once again, free), the fact that it's been a long time since the band was last "Round Here" (20 years ago at Oneida Casino) and that it’s nearly impossible to find anybody who doesn’t know “Mr. Jones" (”Sha-la-la-la, la-la-la”), expect a big, excited, '90s-loving crowd.

Less certain: Will lead singer Adam Duritz mention former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers during the band's set? The two have known each other since their days in Berkeley, California — Counting Crows' hometown and home of Rodgers' alma mater, the University of California, Berkeley. Rodgers has talked in past interviews of being a fan of the band's music.

What time is the concert?

Counting Crows are scheduled to take the stage at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Where is the stage going to be?

It will be set up in the parking lot on the northwest side of Lambeau Field, just like for Collective Soul and Stone Temple Pilots last year and Train in 2022 . That’s the side of the stadium along Ridge Road, which will be closed to cars beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday and throughout the concert.

Can I bring my own chair?

Chairs and blankets are welcome. Crowds at the Kickoff Weekend concert tend to pack in near the stage and stand, like at a music festival, but some people who just want to soak up the scene from a little farther back in the lot bring chairs.

Can I bring my own cooler of beverages?

No. Carry-in food and drink are not allowed. Beverages and food will be sold in the Lambeau Field lot and across Ridge Road in the  Titletown District . Umbrellas are also prohibited.

What about parking?

Parking is free and available first-come, first-served in the Lambeau Field parking lots and surrounding areas. It’s usually plentiful for the Kickoff Weekend concert.

How do I get the AXS App?

The AXS App is free to download and available in the App Store or Google Play. To login, use the same email address you used when purchasing your tickets. You can also download the Houston Rockets app to enter Toyota Center for events. 

How do I use the AXS App to enter the building?

• Open the AXS App
• From the “Home” screen tap the ticket icon at the bottom of the screen
• Login to your account entering the email address used to purchase the tickets
• (If you can’t remember your password, tap Forgot Password and follow the instructions sent to your email)
• Browse your upcoming events and tap the one you want to view
• Tap “View Barcode” and present QR code at the door to be scanned for entry to Toyota Center

How do I access my Parking pass?

Your parking pass for the Toyota Tundra garage will load like a ticket with a barcode to be scanned as you enter the garage.

Can I print my tickets?

AXS Mobile ID tickets are digital and cannot be printed for venue entry.

Are screenshots of the barcode valid for entry?

No, tickets must be scanned through the AXS App.

Can I have multiple tickets on one phone?

Yes. However, we recommend that you transfer tickets to each person attending the event.

What if I don’t have a smartphone?

Please bring a valid photo ID and the card you used to purchase the tickets to the Toyota Center box office.

How far in advance can I access my tickets?

Unless otherwise noted, tickets are accessible on the AXS app and ready to manage as soon as the purchase is complete. Ability to transfer and/or sell tickets varies by show and is subject to change.

What should I bring to an event?

• The card you used to purchase your tickets

What if I need help on an event day?

Please visit the Toyota Center Box Office where one of our ticket resolutions associates will assist you.

How do I transfer tickets?

Transferring tickets allows you to send tickets electronically to anyone with a valid email address. Once the recipient logs in and accepts the tickets, they will be able to view the barcode.

• Tap the ticket icon at the bottom of the screen
• Tap "Transfer"
• Enter the recipients first & last name followed by their email address
• Tap 'Continue'
• Review the information and tap 'Transfer'

The recipient will receive an email with a link to download the AXS app and retrieve their tickets.

What is the venue Bag Policy?

Toyota Center encourages fans to travel light and not bring bags. Bags that are 5.5” x 8.5” or smaller will be screened through an expedited visual process. Bags that are larger than 5.5” x 8.5” but smaller than 14”x14” x 6” will be scanned through additional screening process and/or x-ray machines that will likely require a longer wait. Medical bags and parenting bags are permitted and are the only bags larger than 14” x 14” x 6” that will be allowed. Toyota Center does not allow any backpacks inside the building or any bags that are shaped like a backpack. This policy is subject to change at any time. 

If you choose to bring a bag that will not allowed inside the arena, there will be lockers on site for you to rent. Binbox lockers are located between the La Branch Street entrance and Team Shop. Pricing starts at $15.00 per checked bag which is non-refundable. Debit/credit and mobile payment, such as Apple or Google Pay, are acceptable forms of payment. No cash will be accepted. Toyota Center has a “No Re-Entry” policy for all events and bags will not be accessible during the event. Bag check opens the same time as arena doors for each event and closes 60 minutes post-event. Bags remaining after bag check closes will be returned to Lost & Found. Guests inquiring about Lost & Found items post-event should contact Toyota Center Guest Relations at 713-758-7230 or  [email protected]  . Toyota Center assumes no responsibility for lost items at any event.
