ticket price: $20 ($21 for online booking), kids 3 & under: free.

Must have a MINIMUM of 18 paying passengers or tour is automatically cancelled.
Ticket purchases by credit card can be booked and paid for online, but there will be a $1 surcharge for this service.
Ticket purchases at the dock are cash ONLY
We have a max of 60 tickets available for online booking to ensure we have tickets available for walk up customers. If it shows sold out online, please come to the dock to purchase tickets onsite.
Reservations of 18 or more pre-booked, prevail and board first. Remaining seats filled on a first come basis
Boat leaves the dock PROMPTLY at tour times. Arrive 15 minutes before tour time to ensure you don't miss the boat.
Snacks and beverages sold onboard in the galley
No outside food or beverages allowed
Restrooms on board and at the end of the parking lot
Pets allowed only with Captain’s permission

A 2 hr, 10 mi naturalist narrated tour to the Mississippi Headwaters aboard the 141 Pax "Chester Charles II", on Lake Itasca. Tours provide a comprehensive overview of the history, wildlife and points of interest in Itasca State Park. Follow the same route Ozawindib took Schoolcraft in 1832. Our tour provides unique opportunities for viewing and photographing wildlife like the common loon, bald eagles, great blue herons, deer, osprey,and landscapes seen only by boat. During the summer tours are at 11 and 2, and on Sundays there is only one tour at 1:00. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for kids. Free for 3 and under. If you pick up a small coupon book at the visitor center in Park Rapids (on your way to the park if coming from the south) there is a coupon for $2 off this tour.
