The Weeknd Announces Massive After Hours Til Dawn Global Tour

The singer will embark on his first ever global stadium tour.

The world has waited long enough for The Weeknd to tour his After Hours album. After postponing his original After Hours arena tour in October 2021 in order to rework the show for a larger audience, the time has finally come. Presenting The Weeknd’s massive After Hours Til Dawn summer 2022 tour, the star’s first-ever global stadium tour that will be bringing to life his last two albums — After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM — into one massive, dynamic, and world-building show.

Kicking off in his hometown of Toronto on July 8, the slew of shows will take the “Blinding Lights” singer to iconic venues throughout Canada and the U.S. including New York’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Soldier Field, Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, and many more. Doja Cat was scheduled to open for the singer on all of the dates, however pulled out from the tour in May to recover from tonsil surgery .

When The Weeknd first announced the postponement of his After Hours arena tour, he wrote on Instagram that he wanted “to do something bigger and special for you which requires special stadiums.” It appears he did just that as a press release teases the new show will be “creating worlds within worlds [...] bringing these first two pieces of his trilogy to life.”

So far, only the dates for the North American leg of the tour have been released. Subsequent dates in Mexico, South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East will be announced soon.

Who is opening The Weeknd’s 2022 Tour?

Following Doja Cat’s withdrawal from the tour, The Weeknd has tapped Kaytranada, Snoh Allegra and Mike Dean as openers.

How to buy tickets to The Weeknd’s 2022 Tour

Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time. But before then, a slew of pre-sales will be available for qualifying fans to score tickets ahead of time.

Those who previously held tickets for the postponed After Hours arena tour in North America will have access to a special presale kicking off March 4. Those eligible will receive an email prior to the date with more information.

Verizon will offer an exclusive presale for the tour beginning on Monday, March 7 at 10 a.m. local time through Wednesday, March 9 at 10 p.m. local time. Those eligible will be required to connect their Verizon account to their Ticketmaster account to complete their purchase.

Finally, Spotify will offer a Fans First presale for The Weeknd’s top streams starting March 8.

The Weeknd has partnered with the United Nations World Food Programme, the largest humanitarian organization fighting global hunger, to donate $1 of every ticket sold in North America. Additionally, The Weeknd will contribute $500,000, and the Whole Food Program USA will contribute $1 million to the fund.

The Weeknd Announces 2022 'After Hours' World Tour

As well as a new album, ‘the highlights.’.

It’s official, The Weeknd is returning to the stage in 2022. After a year filled with concert cancellations, the artist has announced the  After Hours  world tour , kicking off January 2022 in Vancouver .

Just days away from his Super Bowl performance, the star has also announced a new album ,  The Highlights , a compilation of his favorite works set to release on February 5. The album is sure to build anticipation for the tour, which includes rescheduled dates from 2020 as well as all-new shows. The Weeknd will begin with a January 14 performance in Vancouver, British Columbia, and make his way through major U.S. cities including New York , Houston, Seattle , and Los Angeles . He’ll then travel across Europe, making stops in Stockholm , Amsterdam , London and Paris .

The Weeknd announces new ‘After Hours’ tour dates for 2022

The Weeknd has announced new UK dates as part of his ‘After Hours’ world tour for 2022 – check out the schedule below.

The Canadian artist (real name Abel Tesfaye) was initially due to hit the road in support of his latest album last October , but in May he was forced to push the shows back to June 2021 due to the coronavirus crisis.

Tesfaye will now touch down in the UK on October 6, 2022 for three consecutive performances at The O2 Arena in London. He will then head to Manchester, Birmingham and Newcastle to fulfil his previously announced postponed concerts.

It’s also been announced today (February 3) that The Weeknd will return to the UK in November 2022 for an additional two shows in Glasgow and London. An extra Belfast gig will take place the previous month (on October 13).

Tickets for the new dates will go on general sale here next Monday (February 8) at 10am GMT. Those purchased for the postponed concerts will be valid for the corresponding rescheduled appearances.

Meanwhile, The Weeknd will take to the stage for the Super Bowl halftime show this Sunday (February 7). The event’s producer, Jesse Collins, recently revealed that the singer’s appearance will be performed entirely live .

“I think there’s a lot of stuff happening in the show that people aren’t going to expect,” Collins explained. “It’s just going to be fun. It’s so perfect.”

The Weeknd will be finally hitting the road in January 2022 in support of his After Hours album, released in March 2020. Abel officially announced plans for the (twice-rescheduled) After Hours Tour on Wednesday (Feb. 3).

Tickets are on sale now for the rescheduled dates, and a release promises that previously-purchased tickets will be valid for the corresponding rescheduled dates (listed below). Tickets for the new dates go on sale beginning Monday, Feb. 8 at 10:00 a.m. local time here .

What Songs Is The Weeknd Playing On The ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ Tour?

The pandemic made it so The Weeknd couldn’t tour behind 2020’s After Hours immediately following its release, but he didn’t want that to stop him from putting out another album. He ended up doing just that, dropping Dawn FM earlier this year. That didn’t put an After Hours tour to rest, though. Instead, The Weeknd is supporting both albums on his ongoing After Hours Til Dawn tour .

The trek kicked off in mid-July and so far, The Weeknd has six shows under his belt (as of August 4). At those concerts, what songs has he been performing most?

The answer right now is all of them, according to data from Setlist.fm , the most comprehensive resource for concert setlists available online; For each show, he’s had the exact same 29-song setlist, which makes sense given how early into the tour he is.

Setlist.fm also has an “average setlist” for the After Hours Til Dawn tour , which is based on setlists from previous shows, so it’s an indication of how an upcoming The Weeknd show might be structured. This one was probably pretty easy to figure out.

As for album-by-album representation on the setlist, Dawn FM has the most songs included, followed closely by After Hours . Then, it’s Starboy , Beauty Behind The Madness , House Of Balloons , My Dear Melancholy , and Kiss Land . If all the “covers” (songs The Weeknd performs on but isn’t the primary artist of on the album version) were considered an album, they’d go after Starboy in the rankings and before Beauty .

The Weeknd announces rescheduled ‘After Hours’ tour for 2022

Surrounding his Super Bowl halftime show, The Weeknd is seizing the day.

The platinum-selling, Grammy Award-winning crooner has announced that tickets for his first world tour will go on sale after the big game day.

The After Hours World Tour is scheduled to kick off Jan. 14, 2022, in Vancouver, Canada, and starting at 10 a.m. local time on Feb. 8, fans can grab tickets at TheWeeknd.com/Tour .

The lengthy jaunt will feature 104 dates, including North America and Europe and is expected to wrap up in November of 2022 in London.

The itinerary includes some dates that have been rescheduled from 2021.

All previously purchased tickets will be valid for those dates.

The Toronto native, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, openly wondered whether his next tour would be in support of his record-breaking album “After Hours,” which has been out for a year, or for a completely new album.

“It’s a whole puzzle I’m trying to wrap my head around right now,” he told Billboard in a cover story interview. “It appears we’ll have to wait awhile to find out.”

For over two years, The Weeknd has been on a musical journey cementing himself as one of the biggest pop performers in modern music history. In 2020, he released After Hours which helmed the record-breaking single “Blinding Lights” and found hits in “Heartless” and “Save Your Tears.” He kicked off 2022 with the release of Dawn FM , his conceptual fifth studio album about being trapped in a discotheque purgatory. Now, The Weeknd is combining these two worlds for the 2022 After Hours Til Dawn stadium tour.

The first leg of the extensive tour will begin in North America with 18 shows supported by pop powerhouse Doja Cat . The tour kicks off in The Weeknd’s hometown of Toronto on July 8 and makes stops in Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Miami, Atlanta, Denver, Las Vegas, Seattle, and more before wrapping with a show at Los Angeles’ Sofi Stadium on September 2. Additional international dates are to be announced.

Ticket sales for the North American leg of the After Hours Til Dawn tour will begin on Thursday, March 10 via The Weeknd’s official website . Fans who purchased tickets to the After Hours arena tour, originally scheduled for 2021 then rescheduled to 2022 before being canceled entirely for a shift towards stadiums, will receive first access to tickets for the newly announced dates via an exclusive presale beginning March 4.

The Weeknd Sets ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ North American Stadium Tour

The Weeknd has finally detailed the new dates for his long-postponed North American tour, with the singer set to embark on his first-ever stadium tour this summer.

The first leg of the After Hours Til Dawn Tour begins July 8 with a hometown gig at Toronto’s Rogers Centre. After that, Abel Tesfaye will return to the football stadium confines of his Super Bowl halftime performance for 17 more shows at NFL venues spanning from Philadelphia to Los Angeles.

The Weeknd’s trek, then the After Hours World Tour, was originally set for 2020  and then  postponed until 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic; it was next rescheduled for early 2022 before the Weeknd opted to push the dates back again in order to bring his live experience to football stadiums.

Now dubbed the After Hours Til Dawn tour to incorporate his new LP Dawn FM , the first leg of the jaunt will now also feature Doja Cat as special guest. Check out the Weeknd’s site for ticket information.

The singer also launched his XO humanitarian fund in conjunction with the United Nations World Food Programme. The singer will donate one dollar from each ticket in addition to a $500,000 donation from the singer and an additional $1 million donation from World Food Program USA.

The Weeknd Announces The ‘After Hours World Tour’ 2022 Dates

Despite the titan-sized hurdles of the global health crisis, The Weeknd managed to dominate the musical landscape last year with the seismic album ‘After Hours.’

A live show to support the LP was planned but was ultimately paused in the wake of a climate few could have predicted.

Ever the trail-blazer, the singer is now ready to hit play on his cutting-edge concert experience. Because he has officially announced the 2022 ‘After Hours World Tour.’

Comprised of re-scheduled dates from the original trek, the tour adds 39 new stops to its itinerary.

Coming in at 104 shows, the global production will kick off on January 14 2022 in Vancouver at the Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena with stops in Los Angeles, Miami, Paris, Berlin, and more, before wrapping November 16 2022 in London at The O2.

The news comes just days before the multi-Platinum singer’s headlining performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show and ahead of the greatest hits compilation ‘The Highlights’ (due February 5).

Kun pihasi kaipaa puhtia, kutsu paikalle Uudenmaan Pihapojat Oy! Suunnittelemme pihoja pääasiassa yksityisille asiakkaille, mutta olemme erikoistuneet myös taloyhtiöiden pihojen perusparannussuunnitteluun. Toimintamme ulottuu akselilta Lohja-Porvoo-Riihimäki aina koko Uudenmaan alueelle.

Pihaneuvonta

Palveluihimme kuuluu myös asiantunteva pihaneuvonta, joka alkaa pihaneuvontakäynnillä. Se sopii hyvin kohteisiin, joissa ei suunnitella tai rakenneta koko pihaa. Pihaneuvontakäynti on toimiva ratkaisu, kun suunnitellaan pienten kohteiden, kuten rivi- ja paritalojen yksityispihoja.

Käynnillä voidaan myös aloittaa vanhojen perusparannusta kaipaavien pihojen tai uudiskohteiden pihojen suunnittelu. Pihaneuvontakäynnillä voidaan keskittyä vain tiettyihin ongelmakohtiin tai käsitellä koko pihaa yleisemmällä tasolla. Käynti kestää tunnista kahteen tuntiin!

Mikä on pihaneuvontakäynti?

Neuvontakäynti kestää 1–2 tuntia. Neuvontakäynnillä käydään asiakkaan kanssa läpi pihan ongelmakohdat ja muut suunnittelua vaativat asiat. Pihalla tapahtuvan suullisen neuvonnan lisäksi konsultti voi luonnostella kevyitä luonnoksia pihasta tai sen eri osa-alueista. Lisäksi voidaan miettiä erilaisia kasvi- ja pinnoitevaihtoehtoja pihalle. Pihaneuvontakäynti sopii pihan omatoimirakentajalle, jolla pysyy lapio kädessä, mutta ei tiedä mitä sillä tekisi.

Varsinaista suunnitelmaa ei pysty neuvontakäynnin aikana tekemään ajan rajallisuudesta johtuen. Asiakkaan on hyvä pitää mukanaan muistiinpanovälineitä, sillä konsultin on vaikea kirjata itse ylös asiakkaan kannalta oleellisia ohjeita ja vinkkejä. Myös mahdolliset asemapiirrokset ja esimerkiksi kaavamääräykset on hyvä pitää mukana. Eri tilanteisiin olemme räätälöineet omat neuvontakäyntipaketit. Pihaneuvontakäynti sopii hyvin kohteisiin, joissa ei tarvitse suunnitella tai rakentaa koko pihaa, tai pieniin kohteisiin, kuten rivi- ja paritalojen yksityispihat. Neuvontakäynti on ideaali eritoten vanhojen perusparannusta kaipaavien pihojen suunnittelun aloitukseen. Neuvontakäynnillä voidaan myös aloittaa uudiskohteen pihasuunnittelu. Aivan pienimmät rivi- ja paritalojen yksityispihat voidaan tarvittaessa suunnitella hyvinkin pitkälle ja tarkasti neuvontakäynnin aikana. Isommilla omakotipihoilla voidaan tehdä yleissuunnitelmatasoinen luonnos.

Pihaneuvontakäynnillä tehdyllä suunnitelmaluonnoksella ei voida pyytää urakoitsijoilta urakkatarjouksia, sillä luonnoksen tarkkuus ei ole siihen riittävä. Luonnoksen pohjalta voidaan toki lähteä toteuttamaan pihaa, mutta tarkkaa kustannusarviota on vaikea antaa. Luonnoksen pohjalta voidaan pihaa toteuttaa tuntityönä. Neuvontakäynnin jälkeen konsultti voi tehdä tarvittaessa tarjouksen varsinaisesta pihasuunnittelusta.

Mitä hyötyä on neuvontakäynnistä?

Asiakas säästää rahaa välttyessään virhehankinnoilta. Oikeat kasvit tulevat oikeisiin paikkoihin, oikeita materiaaleja käytetään oikeisiin käyttötarkoituksiin ja pihan hoito helpottuu. Parhaimmillaan neuvontakäynnillä voidaan jopa välttyä vakavilta vahingoilta, kun esimerkiksi terveeksi luultu iso puu todetaankin lahoksi ja vaaralliseksi. Myös pihan kuivatusongelmat voivat hoitamattomina johtaa kosteusvahinkoihin. Kun samassa talossa asutaan vuosia, omalle pihalle voidaan tulla "sokeiksi”, eikä piileviä ongelmia välttämättä huomata. Ulkopuolisena ja puolueettomana konsultti huomaa ongelmat ensimmäisenä!

Neuvontakäynnin jälkeen saatu pihasuunnittelutarjous voi olla jopa 30 % edullisempi kuin pelkän tarjouskäynnin perusteella laskettu tarjous. Piha on monesti hyvin pitkälle luonnosteltu jo neuvontakäynnillä!

Miten varautua neuvontakäyntiin?

Varaa ja etsi hyvissä ajoin kaikki tontista ja rakennuksesta saatavilla olevat paperit mieluiten alkuperäisinä. Sähköisessä muodossa (pdf, dwg) olevat kuvat voi lähettää etukäteen sähköpostilla.

Pihaneuvonta alkaen 150 €. Maksetaan neuvontakäynnin päätteeksi saatavalla laskulla. Maksuehto on 7 päivän netto.

Suunnittelun aloittava neuvontakäynti (suunnittelutarvekartoitus)

Suunnittelun aloittavalla neuvontakäynnillä kartoitetaan pihan suunnittelutarve. Suunnittelutarve koostuu sekä asiakkaan toiveista ja tarpeista että konsultin tekemistä huomioista, jotka vaativat toimenpiteitä. Asiakas saa neuvontakäynnistä kirjallisen tarveselvitysraportin, jossa kaikki kohdat määritellään. Lisäksi asiakas saa kirjallisen tarjouksen sovituista palveluista.  Suunnittelun aloittava neuvontakäynti sopii vanhojen pihojen perusparannusprojektin aloitukseen. Neuvontakäynti ei sido tilaamaan mitään muita palveluja!

Mitä hyötyä on suunnittelutarvekartoituksesta?

Neuvontakäynniltä saatavaa tarveselvitysraporttia voidaan käyttää kilpailuttaessa muita suunnittelijoita. Tarveselvitysraportti sisältää kaiken tiedon, mitä tarvitaan pihasuunnitelman tarjouspyyntöä varten. Tällöin kaikkien suunnittelijoiden tarjoukset ovat vertailukelpoisia keskenään, koska kaikilla on käytössään yhtäläiset lähtötiedot kohteesta.

Suunnittelutarvekartoituksella saadaan selville todellinen suunnittelutarve ja vältytään kalliilta virheinvestoinneilta. Tarveselvitysraportin perusteella ei aina edes tarvita välittömiä toimenpiteitä. Suunnittelutarvekartoituksella saadaan selville pihan vaatimat toimenpiteet ja investoinnit vuosiksi eteenpäin, mikä tekee budjetin laatimisesta helpompaa.

Mitä suunnittelun aloittava neuvontakäynti maksaa?

Suunnittelun aloittava neuvontakäynti omakotipihoille 300 € (alv. 24 %).

Neuvontakäynnit taloyhtiöille koon perusteella 400 €, 500 € tai 600 € (alv. 24 %).

Jury deliberating fate of ex-politician accused of killing Las Vegas investigative reporter

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A jury began deliberating Monday in the trial of a former Las Vegas-area Democratic politician accused of killing an investigative journalist who prosecutors said the official blamed for writing stories that destroyed his career, ruined his reputation and threatened his marriage.

“And he did it because Jeff wasn’t done writing,” prosecutor Christopher Hamner said during closing arguments of defendant Robert Telles and the reporter, Jeff German. “It’s like connecting the dots.”

Jurors deliberated for about four hours before breaking for the evening, to return Tuesday.

Earlier, they sent the judge a note seeking more note paper and a court technician to show them how to zoom in on laptop video while in the jury room. They remained an hour past the court’s usual 5 p.m. end time.

Telles lost his Democratic primary for a second term after German’s first stories for the Las Vegas Review-Journal in May 2022 about Telles’ conduct heading an obscure county office that handles unclaimed estates. The reports described turmoil and bullying in Telles’ workplace and a romantic relationship between Telles and a female employee.

The day before German was stabbed to death, Telles learned that Clark County officials were about to provide German with email and text messages that Telles and the woman shared, in response to the reporter’s request for public records. Another story was in the offing, Hamner said.

“The murder is the very next day … about 15 hours later,” prosecutor Pamela Weckerly said as she presented to the jury a timeline and videos of Telles’ maroon SUV leaving the neighborhood near his home a little after 9 a.m. on Sept. 2, 2022, and driving on streets near German’s home a short time later.

The SUV driver was seen wearing a bright orange outfit similar to one worn by a person captured on camera walking to German’s home and slipping into a side yard.

“That person stays, lying in wait,” Weckerly said, playing again a video from a neighbor’s home showing German’s garage door rise and German walk into the side yard where he was attacked just after 11:15 a.m.

A little more than two minutes elapse, then the figure in orange emerges and walks down a sidewalk. German does not reappear.

The prosecutor said the killing was first-degree murder because evidence showed it was willful, deliberate and premeditated. While prosecutors did not have the murder weapon, she said evidence was clear that one was used.

Weckerly also focused on a text message from Telles’ wife, which he failed to answer, asking, “Where are you?” about 45 minutes before evidence showed German was killed.

Hamner and Weckerly told the jury they believe Telles didn’t respond because he left his cellphone — and its ability to track him — at home.

German’s body was found the next day, and Telles’ DNA was found beneath German’s fingernails. When asked about the DNA, Telles said he believed it was planted.

None of German’s blood or DNA was found on Telles, in his vehicle or at his home, defense attorney Robert Draskovich said Monday, urging the jury to, “Ask yourself what is missing.”

Draskovich introduced a new clip of video for the first time, zeroing in on a view of a maroon SUV like Telles,’ seen through the passenger window with the shadowed silhouette of a driver at the wheel. The image was prosecution evidence that had not been shown to the jury.

That driver was not Telles, the lawyer said, noting that his client is completely bald.

The jury heard again about cut-up pieces of a broad straw hat and a gray athletic shoe found at Telles’ house that looked like ones worn by the person wearing the orange shirt, which was never found.

“You are the sole judges of the facts,” Draskovich told the jury during his closing arguments before the panel was pared to 12, broke for lunch and began just before 2 p.m. to deliberate whether they all believe Telles murdered German.

“I’m not crazy. I’m not trying to avoid responsibility,” Telles told the jury on Friday to end his second and final round of self-guided testimony in his defense. “I didn’t kill Mr. German, and I’m innocent.”

The testimony came the day German would have turned 71. Originally from Milwaukee, he was a respected journalist who spent 44 years covering crime, courts and corruption in Las Vegas.

Telles, 47, is an attorney who practiced civil law before he was elected in 2018. His law license was suspended following his arrest several days after German was killed. He faces up to life in prison if he is found guilty.

Jurors have been attentive throughout the trial, watching Telles in the witness box and the defense table. He sat Monday with his brow creased and his eyes slightly squinted at computer images in front of him as Weckerly and Hamner spoke.

In his testimony, he had named office colleagues, real estate agents, business owners and police he accused of “framing” him for German’s killing. He said it was retaliation for his crusading effort to root out corruption he saw in his office of about eight employees handling probate property cases.

“I am not the kind of person who would stab someone. I didn’t kill Mr. German,” Telles said Thursday. “And that’s my testimony.”

Where Telles was when German was killed remained a central focus during the trial, as Weckerly and Hamner presented 28 witnesses and hundreds of pages of photos, police reports and video.

Telles and five other people testified during trial for the defense. No Telles family members were called to the stand or identified in the trial gallery.

About a dozen German family members sat silently together in the hushed courtroom on Monday. They declined as a group to comment to The Associated Press.

The killing drew widespread attention. German was the only journalist killed in the U.S. in 2022, according to the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists. The nonprofit has records of 17 media workers killed in the U.S. since 1992.
